There's still another condition I can think of and it's _beating_ every spirit. You can also obtain spirits by purchasing them or getting them randomly in solo modes, but if you look in the upper left corner of a spirit battle menu, the game actually specifically tracks which spirit _battles_ you've completed. I don't think there's any way to know which ones you have missing other than randomly encountering them on the spirit board (I'm not sure whether the spirit collection refights are the same thing) but that is still something to complete.
In spirit list if you hover to any fightable spirits and hit X, on the top left it will say complete if this spirit was fought before. They can also be rematched in the spirit list.
Yeah, you can check in the spirit menu but it's annoying because you have to check each one manually. For spirits alone, there's also getting them all to level 99, which is something recorded in the stats menu. This is just pedantry, but you could also could have each individual spirit in your inventory, since some disappear when upgrading or summoning. And then I even began to try to teach them every style, but that became boring after a while. (Who'd have thought?) And as far as conditions go, if he's getting all the medals in Elite Smash and Classic Mode, there's also all the Mob Smash variations, and I think 2P Classic Mode. I'd say at the very least completing the Century Smash as every character is a reasonable thing to consider for 100%, since it also shows a medal.

Yeah, I definitely don't count elite smash as a requirement. Give it another decade or so and online isn't even going to be an accessible part of the game anymore lol. I also don't think milestones are necessary either, they aren't achievements, they're just things to track how much you've played. I don't think anyone would argue you have to play 1,000,000 matches to 100% Melee, y'know?

I'm just waiting to do everything else first (mainly grinding away at clearing Classic/Adventure/All Star on Very Hard with no continues with every character)
As someone who also beat Classic Mode 9.9 with every character, boy did I feel good hearing about what a nightmare some of these characters can be. I would like to also give a special shoutout to Byleth for me personally. The last 2 rounds are absolute hell to get through. The Corrins are blood and basically require cheese and the 3 house leaders can screw you over if you're not careful. Also Hero's specifically cause of that Charizard. If you are at like 50% or low mana, that giant Charizard basically has a free 2 shot for any mistakes you might make.
Nick loves ultimate so much that he dedicated to go through the pain of 100% this game, it's so bad that it's not even worth it for the achievement itself. For the content tho? WE FLEX.
The amount of classic you did in one try is genuinely INSANE. The amount of times I get hit like twice or one of them runs away and makes the fight go on too long and I end up getting a 0.7 on a crucial stage only to end up at 9.8 overall, nick popped tf off.

In the spirit collection, you can refight spirit you already own. When you do so, you gain a score depending on the spirits you used. To have the highest score, you need to beat a spirit without any spirit equipped (and no skill tree either since you're not in WoL) . The game even track your combined score, at 35:17 you can see you have 7300 points. So yeah you still have that to do. And yes it's possible, my friend did it on his save, and I also did it on my save, but in co-op with my friend. Which is actually harder because every spirit gain hyper armor in co-op, making a lot of cheese strats useless.
Just out of curiosity, what's your classic mode GSP? I haven't gotten 9.9 with everyone yet, but I'm trying to get there. I want to see how close my GSP is

@@pixelpup01You don't need all the Skill Tree upgrades to 100% World of Light. In fact, first time around, you're more than likely not going to get all the Skill Points for every upgrade. If I recall correctly, there is a total of 3000 Skill Points to be spent on every upgrade combined. It just makes the battles easier.
Haven't finished the video yet, but what I'm missing on your list is getting the perfect score in the spirit list, which can only be achieved by beating every spirit fight there without having any spirits equipped. Good luck! I promise it's doable, just tedious.
Great job. My only claim to fame is that ive 100%ed WoL with every character, as in every battle once with each character, and the whole climb + boss rush + double fight with only that one character for each character, on very hard because does it *really* count if its not (yes but i wanted to anyways). hardest was duck hunt, easiest was a tie between ganon and aegis.

At least a Mii Sword Fighter spirit was *your* last spirit. I had to wait months for this rare spirit that was one of the last in the entire game. I forgot the name, but it was three starter pokemon for the new game.
I'm not good enough at the game to get all the elite smash medals or 9.9s, but I am insane enough to get at least one of every spirit in my inventory (as opposed to just the gallery - this requires replaying WoL for Marx), get them all to level 99, and even try to teach each one every fighting style. (I actually did a lot of them, but even I have my limits... for now.)
I 100% Smash Ultimate myself recently by getting: All 89 fighters, 124 achievements, 140 Mii costumes, 1,068 music tracks, 1,528 spirits, and complete World of Light twice (New Game and New Game+). My completion was different and it was worth it. From a Smash Ultimate completionist to another, congrats.

Tbh, the Elite Smash system is pure crap. The GSP is nothing but useless. You can get into there by using shitty rulesets so you can farm easily. Besides that, at this point, it's really hard to achieve the minimum bc of the number of players currently. Btw, I have about 18-20 characters, but those were hours of pain, suffering, and plenties of ragequits back in the day (2020-2023)
I did all the spirits without using spirits in the collection menu (since it gives you ‘score’) but I draw the line at getting everyone into elite smash, that is a skill level or two above me :( Kudos to you on that
Funny casually I got all the Spirits so far 1528, beat world of light, all classic mode with all characters and all achievements I'm just grinding getting all the main spirits to 99 have one awake and unwaken one as well

It's like, rounds 1-4 aren't too bad but then round 5 hits and the Corrins start kicking your teeth in, followed by the 3H lords in round 6, and then the round against the hands is basically rng on if your teammates die instantly or not.
I haven't done all of that, but I've got all the spirits. But with a game like Smash Bros, can you truly 100% it? Also I got all achievements without the hammer, it's stupid that there's no big reward for completing them all
My personal opinions on those conditions: Elite Smash status is not needed. I'm not counting multiplayer that's locked behind an additional paywall in the essential completion list unless directly stated as such (and thankfully I took care of the "online" page of challenges during a free trial). Elite Smash with everyone, even not counting DLC, is not part of that. 9.9 is also not needed due to the conditions that affect it being completely arbitrary. 9.0 is what I'd consider required. For World of Light... I stopped playing when I became unable to continue my Spiritless LP (got up to Dracula before capture card failure and his own cheapness stopped me), and while I always intended to finish playing that game even if Spiritless is off the table... there's just always been something else. Same goes for even starting Mario Odyssey, Luigi's Mansion 3, and plenty of other games I'm looking forward to.
Gotta say, the editing in this video is smooooooooth as butter. What technique are you (Tam) using for the dynamic and high-quality movement on the tier list segments? Understandable if it took ages to do, but the difference is amazing.
I dont think you want to know this, but there's also defeating every single spirit battle in the collection tab completely spiritless and without boosts as that gives you the max score, and there are some very hard ones like the 13 centinels. Still, very awesome.
The battle against the Pits in Palutena's classic mode is actually pretty simple if you just stand on the platform above the bridge and spam up smash, since it's usually an ohko.
1:04 man got the strat right. (own note here, I found a Nipper Plant somewhere, and evolved it into Petey Piranha after getting Bowser. ever since then, it was all just Bowser Drop Kick, later on evolving Medusa and letting Petey retire in favor of her. eventually I ran into a troublesome stamina spirit and grabbed Tabuu and other similar spirits to make a combo specifically for spamming PK Fire. good at stamina, great if they're giant, even better if they're metal.) also also in Melee, there's a 100,000 battles milestone that literally tells you to go outside lmao
To make it more 100% you could get ALL spirits in your inventory while being level 99 (unevolved and evolved, so you also have to do the story mode for 2 times) and then also refight every spirit in the collection tab WHILE HAVING NO SPIRITS for the maximum points
Cool I remember 100% Ult it was pretty fun. Smash has always seemed like a easy game to 100% but its not when you think about it. The long release windows betweens games and everyone usually moving onto the next installment just makes it seem that way
Recommendation for the milestone(if you end up doing it), play 1 stock on a custom stage close to the blast zone with gravity, each match will end in maybe a second

I’m so close to this also. I just need 9.9’s and Elite Smash. I got the last spirit just a few days ago, actually. Also, you could do flower smash with 10% and a starting damage spirit to make the battles only one second plus loading.
Finally, someone who has become familiar with the pain of trying to max all classic modes. There are so many that definitely were not playtested for fun.

My personal opinions on those conditions:
Elite Smash status is not needed. I'm not counting multiplayer that's locked behind an additional paywall in the essential completion list unless directly stated as such (and thankfully I took care of the "online" page of challenges during a free trial). Elite Smash with everyone, even not counting DLC, is not part of that.
9.9 is also not needed due to the conditions that affect it being completely arbitrary. 9.0 is what I'd consider required.
For World of Light... I stopped playing when I became unable to continue my Spiritless LP (got up to Dracula before capture card failure and his own cheapness stopped me), and while I always intended to finish playing that game even if Spiritless is off the table... there's just always been something else. Same goes for even starting Mario Odyssey, Luigi's Mansion 3, and plenty of other games I'm looking forward to.

I dont think you want to know this, but there's also defeating every single spirit battle in the collection tab completely spiritless and without boosts as that gives you the max score, and there are some very hard ones like the 13 centinels. Still, very awesome.

The battle against the Pits in Palutena's classic mode is actually pretty simple if you just stand on the platform above the bridge and spam up smash, since it's usually an ohko.

(own note here, I found a Nipper Plant somewhere, and evolved it into Petey Piranha after getting Bowser. ever since then, it was all just Bowser Drop Kick, later on evolving Medusa and letting Petey retire in favor of her. eventually I ran into a troublesome stamina spirit and grabbed Tabuu and other similar spirits to make a combo specifically for spamming PK Fire. good at stamina, great if they're giant, even better if they're metal.)

To make it more 100% you could get ALL spirits in your inventory while being level 99 (unevolved and evolved, so you also have to do the story mode for 2 times) and then also refight every spirit in the collection tab WHILE HAVING NO SPIRITS for the maximum points
Cool I remember 100% Ult it was pretty fun. Smash has always seemed like a easy game to 100% but its not when you think about it.
The long release windows betweens games and everyone usually moving onto the next installment just makes it seem that way

Recommendation for the milestone(if you end up doing it), play 1 stock on a custom stage close to the blast zone with gravity, each match will end in maybe a second

I’m so close to this also. I just need 9.9’s and Elite Smash. I got the last spirit just a few days ago, actually. Also, you could do flower smash with 10% and a starting damage spirit to make the battles only one second plus loading.
Finally, someone who has become familiar with the pain of trying to max all classic modes. There are so many that definitely were not playtested for fun.
