You missed out the best detail of Tsunoda's helmet. If you look at it from above, the space left by the leaves makes the number 22, it is just outstanding.
Daniel should be number 1. My favorite helmet from the entire season. It’s so simple and the attention to detail is so incredible. and really shows his love for Dale most of the other helmets just okay into the stereotype of america.
I think if you swap Danny Ric's and Lando's you've nailed the list. I like the simple, clean look of Daniel's, plus the backstory is excellent. On the flip side I think stars and stripes is so lazy from Lando, and aesthetically it's been done to death in better ways, far better nods to the locale from Valterri, Mick and Nikita. But Yuki's is a thing of beauty, it should be his lid permanently.

Lando's helmet was gaudy, imo. It looks like the kind of thing that a European would think Americans want to see. Meanwhile Daniel and Valterri had much more nuanced tributes to place and person. I also didn't like George's helmet. Not sure if a tribute to the police is really what we need or want right now, but I guess I don't know George's political leanings.

Your ranking and your reasoning is solid. People might have different taste, but you defend yours well. As someone from Austin, I loved Bottas’ design. He did his homework and the design was tasteful and unique. Someone else said the next bit- but a ranking of how they looked in the car would have been interesting. Some of the designs clearly accounted for that POV in the design. Others did not.
Daniel's tribute is number one easy just for the motorsports story behind it; even if it isn't striking from a design standpoint, it is still pretty clean.
My top three Lando Dani Mick The dale tribute looks amazing to me, Lando’s helmet looks like he literally took the flag and wrapped it on his helmet in the best way possible, and Mick’s helmet has that ornate design you would see on a revolver in a western film, with that Texas flag and the rust weathering it kind of just works to me
I love Ricciardo, and I grew up watching NASCAR with my dad, and was watching when he passed away, it was so tragic. Only time I've ever seen my dad cry.
As an American I would actually rate Lando's a lot lower. The American flag motifs a little played out, would rate mick's a lot higher. Agree with Yuki's being top tier though.
For me as a Georgian Daniel wins because of the meaning behind it and how the whole helmet scheme is timeless Also Dale seniors nickname was The Intimidator
I personally think that Lancelot's was the best as the general colour and the fact that it is blue most of the time but green if look at it from a certain angle. Mick's is also nice

Not to be rude but I disagree with Daniel being last. As a big nascar fan and F1 fan Dale is possibly one of the best and if he never died he could have been the best. His legacy in not only nascar but throughout America in general is quite large. His death still affects many in nascar today and some still have not gotten over it. I understand the reason but you can’t underestimate his impact in America.

I grew up in a dale loving house so even my dad who is a huge Nascar fan and doesn't really like F1 was loving Ricciardos helmet and seeing him drive the car. So definitely up there for me. George's helmet looks almost exactly like my high schools football helmets so I'm really loving that one personally too
Talking about Yuki doing well to implement the AT logo makes me wonder if Alex will have any Red bull sponsor while at Williams? Because yes Red Bull Racing released him to join. But from what I can tell he’s still a red bull sponsored athlete separate from red bull racing. The same way Trent AA is and loads of athlete in the extreme sports world. So technically Red Bull is a separate sponsor from the team for him

As an American, that Earnhardt color scheme and design is as iconic as it comes for racing fans. To us, it's as recognizable as Ferrari red.
