The greatest part about Seb's helmet is that it's become so iconic, it doesn't even have to be a German flag stripe on a white helmet. It can be any colored stripe, featuring any number of colors, on any color of any background design on a helmet. But so long as the stripe goes down the right side, that's a Seb helmet. We've seen pink stripes on a pink helmet. We've seen rainbow stripes on a grey gradient helmet. We've seen pink stripes on a white helmet. We've seen rainbow stripes on a black and pink helmet. We've seen blue stripes on a pink helmet. We've even see a red stripe on a red helmet for his Niki Lauda tribute helmet and grey stripes on a grey helmet for his final race with Ferrari. When Charles designed his Seb tribute helmet, he did a similar thing with stripes down the right side but in the colors of the Monaco flag. And you can still recognize that the design was clearly influenced and inspired by Seb. Remove the color and it's still recognizable as a Seb helmet. Phenomenal design.
As a Danny Ric fan and a fan of his helmets, I don’t love this helmet as much as I did the others, but I really enjoyed it because it kinda blends in with the car and that’s a really nice touch to have on track. His is my favorite, alongside with Seb’s and Charles’.
It's actually the colours of the flag of his hometown, Asturias. Coincidentally these also became the colours of Mild Seven Renault R25 and R26, the two cars with which fernando won his two championships.
Seb's helmet is goat IMO, it simply doesn't get more iconic than that. Nikita's helmet would actually make an awesome Ferrari helmet this year but of course, we won't be seeing it.
The big thing for Leclerc's helmet is the recognition from the T-cam. When we're looking at the onboard camera of a Ferrari I always think "Is that Charles or Carlos? Ah, it's Charles, I can see the Monegasque flag." Recently I've been able to do this with more drivers as I've memorised what their helmets looked like, but I've been able to do it with Ferrari from basically race 1.
Btw, to the best of my knowledge 'Red Bull Racing' aren't sponsoring Alex Albon now that he has a permanent contract at Williams. To get the seat at Williams, Mercedes insisted that he was completely released from his RBR contract, so Alex is no longer part of the 'RBR team' in any way. However, Red Bull have considerable Thai-based investors who own the Thai image rights for Red Bull (Red Bull was actually created after Dietrich Mateschitz drank a Thai energy drink on holiday once, and then came back to Austria and started Red Bull), so Alex is sponsored by these Thai investors who are (obviously) based out of Thailand and sponsor Alex due to his Thai nationality and heritage. TLDR; Albon is sponsored by Red Bull investors from Thailand rather than being sponsored by Red Bull Racing (Helmut Marko & co).
You are right about the sponsorship, but he is absolutely still a RBR driver. He has a 1 year contract, with possible extension that is decided by red bull. They can get him back after this year of they want.
Top shout on Leclerc, he's my favourite driver, now finally he has a helmet I don't hate. I'd generally rate both Red Bulls and Russell's helmet worse for looking indistinguishable from their teammates. You'll never mistake Stroll for Vettel or Latifi for Albon, but both Red Bulls have white helmets and both Merc's are black.
First of all, thank goodness Seb has his old helmet back. The pink one just did not work for me at all. As for the GOAT, I think i have to go with Hamilton's on this one though. Just like Seb's, it's the kind of design you'll still recognize 10 years from now. But the colour combination just sells it for me. I know from personal experience that not everyone can pull off purple, so respect to Hamilton for that. :D
Carlos Sainz helmet is honestly a bit disappointing compared to past versions. My favourite helmet of his is actually the 2019 version. Metallic silver background with the maclaren brush and the spanish flag going around the back of his helmet, simply classy. I don't know why he went on another colour palette but yeah.
Vettel's classic white with the German stripe is my favorite... I also love the special helmets he does, because most of the times, it is not flashy, but a very subdued tribute that incorporates his standard design perfectly.
I like the fact that Micks helmet is an homage to his father with the seven stars on the top and the suttle nod on the side with keep fighting. Plus its also a very nice color pattern. Sebs helmet should be in the Goat tier by now its just iconic for me and just plain brilliant.

I’ve hated Danny Ric’s helmets since he started with the strange pastel schemes. Looks like he gave it to a 5 year old with a pastel box of crayons. And I actually really like George’s. Could use some more contrasting red or white. But overall I actually like it a lot. But I do agree that Charles has the best one this year.

Bruh, Lance’s helmet is badass. The attention to detain on that thing from an artistic point of view is beautiful. It’s the only helmet on the grid that follows it’s own design language.
I gotta go with Bottas man, just perfect in MY OPINION. Its pretty simple, nice colours, that goes well together and pays homage to both Finland and Alfa Romeo. It has some details that really does it for me. Makes it more intersesting yet it doesent get messy at all.
I really dig that Vettel has the three stripes not centered and is just slightly off-axis. If the stripes would be exactly in the middle it would be boring as hell, but just that small change really does it for me.
Good final choice, when I saw him wearing it on the first pictures in Barcelona, I instantly thought it looks crazy good and honestly top tier, especially in that Ferrari.
Seeing Strolls helmet match the car this year is so much better. But I can't agree about Mazepin's lid due to why he picked the colours. It the Ribbon of Saint George. Formally Russia's version on the Victoria Cross but now just used by Putin to award it to his friends. Hence why in DTS you see his Dad wearing it.

The print thing on the background of Sergio’s helmet is a part of the Aztec calendar. I kinda like it, adding the Mexican flag colors would have been awful for the color palette, so this is a more subtle way of representing his country.

And blue and red and all the logos. 3 colors on a chin area. Too much. 17. Max: less colors than Checo, also gold with white is one place better. 16. Ocon: less chaos, nothing special, glitter is... something else 15. Bottas: nothing exciting but it almost stands out 14. Sainz: I like how lines are paralel. solid, clean look but not basic. 13. Mick: playful 12. Alonso: colorful and balanced 11. Charles: on its way to became iconic. Less is more approach pays off. Very motor racing. 10. Question: How can Albon have RedBull on his helmet? You'd think now that he's a Williams driver, he'd not be allowed to have a competitor's brand on his helmet.
IMO their helmets look better when more basic, that's why Sebs is so great , that and it's paying respect to the GOAT Schumacher ! Think , Jackie Stewart, Senna, Hill ( father and son ) , Hunt all classics but simple, and quickly identifiable ! Yes I get it's now a expression of each drivers personality , but some of their designs are just too busy and make it harder to figure which driver it is in that team. Especially when they run similar colors. Also I would like to see a car number, or their name on the inside of the HALO to help identifying which driver it is when we get the onboards from the roll loop. Most teams dont do that and wish they would !

IMO their helmets look better when more basic, that's why Sebs is so great , that and it's paying respect to the GOAT Schumacher ! Think , Jackie Stewart, Senna, Hill ( father and son ) , Hunt all classics but simple, and quickly identifiable ! Yes I get it's now a expression of each drivers personality , but some of their designs are just too busy and make it harder to figure which driver it is in that team. Especially when they run similar colors. Also I would like to see a car number, or their name on the inside of the HALO to help identifying which driver it is when we get the onboards from the roll loop. Most teams dont do that and wish they would !
