"When you get back to whatever steaming underworld s**thole you came from, you tell them there are still Belmonts up here." One of my favorite lines from the series. It's telling us that the last son of Belmont's house has returned to do what his family did best for generations.
Funny that he says belmonts as in plural so who are the others?

@@gwynbleidd3871 a fair assessment. The vampires don't seem to know exactly how many belmonts there were/are left so leaving it ambiguous does have an advantage. There is also sypha lol
@@hammer1349 The way Camila is surprised to hear that there's still a Belmont around, it implies that the Vampires believed the entire bloodline had been wiped out. Even one Belmont with access to the Belmont Hold would have been a nightmare for Dracula and his followers.

On top of this even though Trevor says he's nothing but an old killer he has more honor than 99 percent of the people in this series's universe. His family was exiled and hunted down by the very people they protected for years. He didn't have to fight for them anymore, bleed for them, break bones for them, hell he almost died for them, and as Trevor would say "we did it anyway". Trevor Belmont is one of the best characters I've seen. Fantastic edit.
That scene was fastastic.
he compares himself to death, saying that he himself doesn't create anything or make anything new, but what Trevor doesn't understand until he comes back to the castle in the epilogue is that he creates hope among people.
Belmonts believe it is more than a duty, for them is almost personal since it all began with Leon saying his family will hunt the night. the show shows too how medieval church afraid and i suppose jeolous of the Belmonts and their ability to fight monsters cast them out.
This doubles down when you realize the dagger he was putting together was a suicide weapon that could kill God level threats. So he was banking on it being able to kill death and was more than willing to sacrifice himself. If it wasn't for saint germain, he would have been six feet under. Thank goodness for the corridor and that little bit of plot armor LOL much love all. Praise be to the Belmonts

My favorite thing about castlevania is how Trevor starts as the weakest member of the team, out of practice, drunk and tired.
But by fourth season he grows and reaches his potencial as Belmont, out skilling both Alucard and Sypha, going from a bum just taggimg along to a hero single handedly taking on the Grimm Reaper.
Not just the grim reaper no the living incarnation of Death itself wich is way more impressive

He’s the one who devours Death. People in history have confused this guys appearance for Actual Death. As he has been alive since before Humanity even existed, they have believed that he is the personification of Death.
He is still one of the strongest if not the strongest being in Castlevania. Very impressive either way.
Death mocking Trevor about falling down only for Trevor to get back up and absolutely wreck his ass is exactly what defines a Belmont
You're either the last son of a warrior dynasty or a lucky drunk, which is it?
That line held the most weight for me personally. It was the crossroads for which Trevor stopped wondering aimlessly barely getting by and started living with the intention of who he set out to be. And it took a rival/friend to call him on it for him to see how he let himself go. And it took that choice for him to say no, I refuse to just simply lay down and die. I just always thought that was the best interaction in the whole show

what sticks to me in this, is that these vampires don't know "Trevor", they know of Belmont's, not Trevor himself, so the extreme fear and panic you see they have from just the name Belmont is amazing, like even 1 Belmont is enough for a whole room full of centuries old vampires to shit themselves and start looking around like he's going to pop up out of the the shadows with the Morningstar a slaughter them all.

It's honestly incredible. It can only be inferred it's from a mix of superstition and genuine, practical fear. Carmilla's sentiments come to mind, that the Belmonts are a single-purposed clan dedicated to the study of magic, martial arts, and demonology, all to the end of killing creatures like them.
And they, even as the short-lived humans they are, have been doing nothing *but train and kill vampires* for centuries.
And they've been doing it successfully.
And it was not the vampires that stopped them, but other thankless humans.
The Belmonts are to vampires what vampires are to humans. An ageless genocidal force.
Except, in the scope of an immortal's eyes and memories, it's a fear that, like nothing else they've experienced, has existed just as long as they have. And as they've just learned, one is indeed alive, doing exactly what his ancestors have, cleaving through legions of night creatures, and he's coming for them.
@@NexonPlayerNA and the only reason the belmonts died to people was that because they didnt fight back. They could not hurt the people theyve been protecting. Even in the extinction of their clan, they stood by their convictions.

God i love this show.
Only thing I wish you'd have added is the line after death says "who's going to make me? You and your little string?"
And trevor responds "Probably not, but let's just give this one last go" it's such a badass moment.
It's a sweet line but, the "who's going to stop me?" And the "Nobody's immortal" just hits with a whole nother layer. Still love that line though .

@@ba-dazzler82razzler51 nah... that one hits hardest, Trevor was acknowledging that he was unable to defeat death with the "luxury of living" in that line. Trevor with the morning star was inadequate for the task but he was going to try for fun before resorting to the Godkiller which required Trevor to sacrifice his life to trigger the "murder" part of the spell with his "suicide"... getting thrown into the Infinite Corridor by St Germaine after the spell started but before it completed wasn't part of the plan. Trevor walked into that fight with certain death in his heart & carried it out.
I think my favorite part of that line is the extra bit of hidden cleverness. He smirks as he says it... because he knows it's going to be the _dagger_ , not the 'bit of string' this time.
Just a reminder that his training ended when he was only 13. That's why the name Belmont strikes fear into the cold hearts of vampires. He's a beast and he was barely a teenager when he left. Imagine a fully fledged Belmont during the prime of their house

They've already announced one! A few weeks back, it's called Castlevania: Nocturn. About a dude called Richter Belmont which as i understand is a descendant of Trevor many generations removed

They are the House of Belmont, and dying has never frightened them, only that they couldn’t die for you.
This just exemplifies how much this show is one of the best animated series out there right now, and certainly one of the best Netflix has ever and will ever create both animated or live action.
THE BEST netflix has ever created. Not to throw shade at anything people like but this show destroys all there other animated originals. Netflix has a lot of mid products but this one was a masterpiece

Fr and I'm sooo excited for castlevania: nocturne, this style of animation is my absolute favorite and the writers for this show are amazing so I know that no matter what the next show is going to be leagues above all of netflix's other shows.

Armitage's delivery of the "Absolutely nothing." chills me to the core. He really nails the nihilism of a man who lost everything and is trying to do something right for one last time.
The epitome of someone who lost everything and refuses to give into nihilism. He believes things can be better and bets everything on that. Chaotic good to the very end.

The fact that he is this badass having only been trained until he was 13 makes the automatic terror all vampires feel in his presence utterly justified. Imagine what the fully trained Belmonts were capable of.

I don't mean to be rude, but can you explain why Eren Jeagar of all people is on your list of best anime characters. Guts I understand, while he does have a ferocity to him, he is actually quite reasonable and friendly. Eren is in a state of pathologically driven anger at basically everything all the time. I just never understood why anyone like attack on titan.

This is such an epic edit I remember you saying you were making a tribute on him but I had no idea it would be this phenomenal. I loved every second of it the way you built up his character was brilliantly done bring his journey from drunkard to the legendary monster hunter his family would be proud of. Its a rare thing for both of us to pick the same song at the same time kinda crazy. This is definitely up there with some of my favourite of yours you have such a talent for making edits flow so perfectly and tell their entire story combined with right music for their characters and this masterpiece is absolutely no different although that first part had me speechless and to hit us with the emotions of his final act of his life defeating his greatest foe death itself 💙

Except he didn’t die. At the end of that last episode, he’s found by one of the villagers that Alucard was helping and he woke up while they were all mourning him. He’s still alive. He killed Death and survived with only one arm down.
One of the best subtle nods to how badass the Belmonts are is the way vampires talk about them. Besides Dracula all the vampires talk about humans like they are just prey. But they treat the Belmonts like fellow apex predators, they are a different breed entirely in the eyes of vampires.
knowing nothing about the lore or the story before the show, it quickly became of the top best animated shows ive ever seen.
not only did the whole show and every character basically hype his family name up, but he fucking delivers beyond the reputation with less than with what his ancestors had.
He was a drunk when the show started, and thenhe earned his throne amongst legends.

One of the best characters in any show, Trevor belmont, starts out as a drunk, but he stil helps the people, no matter what. The character is so great, written that, that i cant put any words down, that has not been, described yet, and great work. c:
How Trevor isn't considered a legend for what he did I'll never understand. The guy faced off against death itself, and freaking won!
The Belmont claim tends to get stronger each generation. Historically he is legendary but strength wise kind of hard to rate.
A number of Belmonts could make the same claim. And for the record, Trevor *is* canonically considered a legend, along with his ancestor Leon and, eventually, his descendant Richter. Simon could go either way, technically he killed Dracula twice. Revived him just to kill the bastard again to get rid of his curse.
What's most impressive is that he is pretty much the weakest belmont we've seen
I saw many, many tributes of Trevor Belmont and Castlevania. But this. This is really beautiful. It remembers me one of yours who is one of my favourite : "Dracula: Alone". You're pretty good in making these, and i'm proud to add them in my Castlevania playlist.

Trevor is the fighter in the party with the wizard and the paladin. Him doing badass things with no powers just makes him more badass
Belmonts get better with each generation, so Trevor barely killing death proves he’s the first of his line who could do it, and the start of them going from great vampire hunters to a line of legendary warriors.
And now take into account their exponentially bettering children/ generations, and think: Richter ( main character of the new show ) is many dozens of Belmonts down the line. So yes, he could beat Trevor in a fight. Fairly easily, actually.
One could say that infusion of magical blood into Belmont line did wonders for the family.

I always felt somewhere in the incredible lore of Castlevania that Trevor and Young Vesemir from The Witcher should have met in a tavern if only for a night. Vesemir on a contract for "vampires" and Trevor just doing what he does best. Just for Vesemir to realize this area has no good work left with the Belmont Dynasty in check. And returns to Kher Morhen to let the other witchers know this side of the world is fine without them.
Would make for an amazing cross over that starts, and stops the 2 worlds existing together. That's my idea anyways.
Witchers are not aupposed to be that strong honestly, but yeah definitely both worlds could coexist, this show was also really similar to Dark Souls.

Oh wow this gave me goosebumps all over my body, looking back all his journey makes me feel so emotional.
You know, the studio worked very well each plot but I have no doubt that Trevor is THE PROTAGONIST, cause even though every character had their own development, trevor was the one who went through the most valuable changes through the seasons, he went from a drunk man with no perspective and no motivation in life to a hero, a man with a purpose, who was willing to give his life to guarantee a future for the ones he loved. He loved someone, after years lonely feeling numb he was able to love and to be loved back, and I think this is the most beautiful part of his journey.
I loved the tribute, I would love to watch one for Sypha too!

This was an awesome tribute to one of the greatest characters ever created. I really felt the emotion when he found the family heirloom the morning Star. made it all so worth it. Simon and the rest of the belmonts would be so proud.

This might just be one of the best things Netflix has created. They have made some garbage before but every once in a while, they create a literal masterpiece. Between this and arcane, idk which I like more. The character development, the animation, the voice acting, the writing/dialogue, the chemistry between characters and the plot itself, just 10/10 in everything.
They need to make this a while series of this but to the beginning of the whole belmonts and show all of the other belmonts and the treasures and weapons I just want to see more of his bloodline and family

What annoys me most about this netflix series is that Death didn't know Trevor Belmont. Death who was originally defeated by Leon Belmont the original "Hunter of the Night" KNOWS the Belmont name, and should be utterly terrified by it, but instead has no relocation of it.
