It’s my opinion that Steve Perry was the best vocalist of this era of music. To take on trying to cover his vocals, and to do a damn fine job of it, is impressive. Bravo.
without question. Steve was the best. it takes some searching to find it, but there are links where Steve's voice is isolated. then you can hear the pure tone.
It’s so important that bands like yours exist. The music you play is timeless. I have kids that are 10 and 13. The music today just doesn’t cut it. Channels like yours allows my kids hear what “real” music should sound like. Thank you!
Ever since the accountants took over from the Clive Davis's of the world in the record studios the quality of music writing (not playing, not singing, writing) has gone to s***
My teenagers mostly love classic rock, I was relieved to discover, but some of the newer stuff they listen to is painful to my ears. I suspect our parents found a lot of our music to be the same, however.
Excellent guys! That’s an impressive performance with one of the toughest songs, especially singing anyone can attempt. Really impressive and enjoyable performance!
my favorite journey song. Trying to get young people to understand why 70s and 80s music is the best can be challenging, This is a classis example of why the 70s to the mid 90s is the best music.
Once again..I was reluctant to listen to Lex Lab. Taking on Steve Perry's vocals and Neil Schon's riffs is a tall order. I am a die hard Journey fan. I've seen Journey in concert over a dozen times. And once again you guys nailed it. Great job Lex Lab! You have won me over. I am a bonafide fan of Lexington Lab!
Just jealous that people out there do stuff like while many of us don't feel we're doing anything special. In my case, I both accept that I'll never rise to this level in any field, and feel inspired to try.
*I have to believe even Steve Perry would be impressed with this version. This is so good, I can picture you performing it on national tv in a tribute to Journey.
Bless your heart. There will never be a replacement for Steve Perry! There will also never be a replacement for Freddie Mercury! Every show Journey and Queen do now is a pure karaoke concert. I'm 60 and I started listening to these bands in the mid seventies on lp , 45's and 8- track. I will not listen to copycat singers touring with them. That being said, I love the fact that this young generation is keeping the music alive and well.
I just discovered this group, and am major binging now. I follow several "cover bands", Foxes and Fossils, MonaLisa Twins, and others. You guys are at the top of my favorite type of groups, keeping the oldies alive in the wasteland of modern "music". The talents of everyone here is extraordinary. Your musical recreations are as good as or better than the original. I just clicked on the entire catalogue thumbnail, and am so looking forward to it taking over my life. This is going to take awhile. Many thanks to UA-cam for providing the venue for this to even be possible.
check out Leonid and Friends for the best Chicago covers, plus Earth, Wind and Fire. You won’t be disappointed! LLB has become one of my favorites ! They never disappoint!
@@Hettepop You are right about Leonid and Friends, they are amazing. I saw Chicago twice in Amarillo, once in the 70's before we lost Terry, and again a couple of years ago. James and Lee are still blowing the horns, and Robert still mashing the keys like they did 50 years ago. They have a talented group of young men in place of Walter, Peter, and Danny, but of course nobody can replace Terry. Rest in peace My Brother, we miss you.
This cover band is fantastic. Was at a party last weekend and the people were playing this band on the big screen TV. Of course, now they have many more followers. Just outstanding!!
photodork thanks for taking the time to comment! The guitar guys really nailed the heart of these simple parts in my opinion and of course it was great to have Tyler with us! •MV
I grew up with journey and this is one of my favorite songs. But you LLB have proven that you can do anything with any group and song. Yes your talents are absolutely the best
Very few songs I can remember hearing on the radio for the first time. This is one of them. Miami Florida, it was night and I was in an old Chevy Nova. I was so blown away. I still am!!!!!
Who's crying now? Those that wish they had your talents. Beautiful. Shout out to the Bassist- guy next door type you didn't know was a solid bassist. Les Paul man....legend. Vandie...it's almost unlawful to have that much talent man. The whole band shined!
LLB is one of the best things I've experienced in 2020. While fortuitous, I am continuing to discover the variety of talent and versatility in recent and past months. MV is an underrated and multi-talented musician and a leader/manager. Dale and Randy and the other guitarists/vocalists. So much to appreciate about your contributions to the world of music and quality of life the past few years but you are especially a bright spot in what has been a challenging year. Rock on and stay gold!
I will always Love this song. If I can, if I'm driving and pull over just to listen to this song any time I hear it. You guys sound like what I hear the radio. Love you guys. Way to go!!!!!
Some songs just resonate with your soul & you're not sure exactly why...this is one of them for me for the last 40 years....we played it in a band in those days & the memory is still fresh....great cover.
You guys vocally are so smooth. Steve Perry has to admire this. Instrumentals and solos so sharp. Nice, neat and nifty. One of your top ten productions IMHO
A P P L A U S E and major KUDOS. Journey covered to perfection, and no easy task. Enjoyed very much. I keep coming back to your UA-cam channel, cannot look away!

Lead singer dude is the boss!!! He does everything well. How talented!!! Thanks for your great music.
My thoughts exactly!!
I'm a 68 year old Guy and you Guy's ROCK !!!!!!!!
It’s my opinion that Steve Perry was the best vocalist of this era of music. To take on trying to cover his vocals, and to do a damn fine job of it, is impressive. Bravo.
understatement of the millennium, but I agree
My favorite "best singer in the world" era was when Levi Stubbs of the Four Topps was cooking
without question. Steve was the best. it takes some searching to find it, but there are links where Steve's voice is isolated. then you can hear the pure tone.
Steve Perry was first trained singing classical music where he developed his great range and smooth tone. The LLB is awesome in matching his music!
Great performance! Kid on the drums is good!
Now that is playing music well done
Lead didn’t over sing - he knows his lane and mastered it beautifully as well as the other musicians - impeccable!! 👏
The drummer is under age , but he’s killing it, the whole band deserves more stars ⭐️ than the sky has available ever

Because this is real music hands down. Now days its crap.

@@tshandy1 Yep... my popz was a jazzer & boogie-woogie piano player from 40s/50s - he couldn't stand a single note of rock
Soooo true.
This is music!
Excellent guys! That’s an impressive performance with one of the toughest songs, especially singing anyone can attempt. Really impressive and enjoyable performance!
my favorite journey song. Trying to get young people to understand why 70s and 80s music is the best can be challenging, This is a classis example of why the 70s to the mid 90s is the best music.
kind of coincides with bands no longer recording to together at the same time. (imo)
Wisely spoken...
"can be challenging". Getting AWFL's to say "difficult" can be challenging.
Great song 🎶
Just so true my friend 70s to the mid 90s will never be matched.

I can kick myself for not seeing them when I had the chance
it's obviously hard to compete with steve perry's vocals..because of the timbre of his voice...but this is as close as you can get.. :-)
STRONG cover!!!! 20 people thumbs down? must be the people not good enough to be in the band
Or absolutely no taste in music
Teenagers who have no clue about music
Just jealous that people out there do stuff like while many of us don't feel we're doing anything special. In my case, I both accept that I'll never rise to this level in any field, and feel inspired to try.
I agree. Just jealous. Or really stupid.
The 109 thumbs down are "Merchant Bankers" that are simply jealous.
The lead singer is simply extrarodinary. The whole band is perfection.
3:29 guitar solo kills me . Amazing 🔥👍
Wow. I've been an all time JOURNEY fan. You guys nailed it. Congrats
*I have to believe even Steve Perry would be impressed with this version. This is so good, I can picture you performing it on national tv in a tribute to Journey.
My wife said "You gotta hear this band."She was right.
They definitely don’t make music as great as this in today’s time. The music this band plays are timeless classics.
This band is incredible.
Now that was smoking hot
Again, Well Done!
That's fantastic.👍
It's one of those songs that is stamped on your brain. Great job nailing every little aspect, musically. Vocals were top shelf.
Stamped on your brain... damn what a perfect way to describe my relation with this song. Couldn’t have said it any better. Thank you.
Sounds like the original
Schon was never better than his closing solo....and you nailed it!!!!
I give them a 7
@@QBAN2010they All nailed it!! Just lije it sounds on radio❤❤❤
Man, you nailed that solo, the tone you achieved was on point
One of my favourite guitar solos
Perfection
Journey searched high and low for a good replacement for Steve Perry. All they had to do was look here.

Arnell is better
@@musicgroopie1I agree but, you can’t deny Arnel Pineda has done a fantastic job fulfilling those shoes.
Gives me those music vibes same as the original.

I'm a huge Journey fan and this song has one of Neal's best solos, maybe his best. Neal is not easy to play. You nailed it, nice job.
In my humble opinon, so far is It's one of their best .
This is a really phenomenal cover. Going back and listening to these tunes again reminds me just what excellent work you all at LLB have done.
