MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼…………….Why don’t I just cut out the middle man ( my bank ) and I just have my payroll checks deposited directly into the the Palmetto State Armory’s bank account?? THAT would make life easier on both of us!!LOL!!
@0:45 , looks like this is “B-Roll take 2" or more of this procedure, where the bolt catch roll pin touches and damages the finish on the receiver. Funny how PSA makes a flat sided roll pin punch designed to drive the pin towards the back of the receiver to eliminate that issue.
Is there anything else that is needed for this upper to work on my milspec lower? I see your note about a buffer needed for the lower, but also there is a note about the buffer being contained in the upper. So, it is a little confusing.
My lower receiver has a small set screw instead of a roll pin holding the both catch on. That set screw is stripped so I cannot get it out. If I just Ieave the standard bolt catch on my lower and simply file a tiny amount off the top of the part of the bolt catch on the inside that engages with the bolt will that work? I realize that the paddle is going to be resting against the side of the upper all the time and have the bolt catch tipped slightly up, but it would seem like taking a few thou off the catch would fix it, or am I missing something?
It looks like is should be compatible with the PDQ bolt catch IF you were to grind down the paddle to a similar thickness and cut the appropriate trench for the right side lever. I’ve installed these one a couple ARs, but haven’t got a JAKL yet to try it on.
Palmetto I have a question just ordered the Jakl complete lower and now I’m about to get the Jakl complete upper. Do I need to still install this catch or am I good to go since I bought the Jakl specific complete lower?
@@natron5569 I had to call a few PSA stores to get an answer. Basically they said they ship with the bolt catch because the assume people are adding it to a standard M4/Ar15 upper. If you have a Jakl specific lower then you do not need to swap it out. It is just a spare bolt catch if you bought the Jakl lower
I know y’all probably get this question a ton but is there any news on the PSA5? Are y’all still working on it or is it not coming to the market? Btw y’all are a fantastic company keep up the amazing work.
@@PalmettoStateArmoryVideos are y'all gonna release longer barreled uppers for the jakls? Absolutely love this. Also, are standard AR barrels compatible, with your jakl uppers? Like if we wanted to build a different caliber?

Those "wings" from the stock adapter are horrible. Is the Jakl really that wide? You guys couldnt come up with something that is more aesthetically pleasing?

We shot it multiple times to get different angles for you guys.
Does this thinner bolt catch work on normal ar uppers?
I came to ask the same thing. I would assume it does since the only/main difference is the thinner paddle but confirmation from psa would be great
If doing this conversion your issue is if you you can’t toss on a regular ar upper without replacing the rear mount with a buffer tube
@user-cz3dn9nl6j mainly asking incase I want to change it back if I have to drive the bolt catch pin out.
when the 300 Blackout version comes out I'll be glad to take your entire stock
All 3 of them?

It comes with the adapter for the lower. It is a rubber bumper on the lower. The actual buffer spring is indeed in the upper.
Looks like the catch should be done BEFORE the rear stock adapter is out on. That way you have more room to properly align the pin and punch
Im almost there PSA, almost!
👍

Any news on the new 16”upper release date?
Are you still working on the SVD?
Need to do a integrally supposed .300BLK version
PSA doesn’t make any NFA items
I bought the Jakl complete lower with the boot stock . Why did it come with an extra bolt catch ?
hmmm, i wonder if the aero m4e1 pro lower will work with the jakl upper
Is this new bolt catch still compatible with standard ar15s
Does the PDQ ambi bolt release work with JAKL? I already bought my ambi and I was planning to shave my lower receiver.
Are there any Ambi bolt releases that are compatible with the JAKL? Bought the whole rifle from y'all, not just the upper. TIA

If i bought the actual jakl lower...is the Jakl bolt catch already installed???
so is that just a normal ar15 lower with an attachment in the rear whee the buffer tube would be?
Yes.
Yep!
Does the bad lever fit. Lol I'm a lefty so the bad lever is a must almost anymore
i doubt it. Thats what sucks about that cut on the receiver. I wish they would widen the cut.
Do all the components needed come with the jakl build kit?
Yes but you need a complete upper and stripped lower
Does this mean i can’t use my radian adac lower?
Do we have to install this after purchase? Or do the current models already come with this mod?
This is for if you buy the separate upper instead of a complete rifle.
When the upper by itself comes out?
VERY soon!
Its already out, it's currently in stock on their website.

We have them at the stores or online 👍
Make a video calling out james reeves. He was talking mess to people who purchased PSA components. I love my PSA rifle kits, uppers etc...
You mean when he got a Rock frame without the pins installed…..
It would be nice if you shipped quicker like everyone else. Waiting a week just guessing when you will ship is ridiculous.
All my PSA orders ship fast….maybe you should contact them and see what is happening

Let’s make a 5.7x28 AKV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
