I think plugins got so good the last few years that there's no point in buying any new ones unless you're looking for a plugin of an amp sound you don't have yet.
This is the best sounding simulation. I’ve heard in a while, and I know what you’re talking about with hearing the air in the guitar sound. It’s that thing that all the other amp simulations seem to be missing this thing sounds amazing. I’m gonna have to get it.
I wish there was a place to learn how to use a computer! I would love to use plug-ins and a DAW. I’m an old-school guitar player. I just don’t understand the computer.
Very versatile. Importing other suites into this "shell" is a nice touch. If you wanted to import Hartke and Ampeg 4-12 cabs, blend them with a JCM800, and play a Bass Ukulele through it, you could. 🤘🤘
I'm the same age as you Ola but my plug in knowledge is sh**, I'm an old school analog guy. I bought a digital Boss Br-600 many years ago and that's basically it. Is there anything you could recommend starting with? Also i would love to buy an Solar guitar but can't find any in Iceland to test, even went to Amsterdam and checked some store's but couldn't find one. If you would compare neck profiles to other brands, which brand does it compares to? Thank's for an awesome channel and music🤘
I was in pretty much the same boat, only I’m older then Ola lol. There were none to try anywhere around me. But I found a B stock G type, basically it was the higher end one, for the lower end price ( I have yet to see any reason why it was b stock) so I got it. I received it in 2 days, I’m still blown away by that considering I live in Iowa usa. Long story short it is now my favorite guitar, despite the fact that I’m a blues player (yes, Solar guitars can do more then metal!😂). It plays and sounds wonderful, i’m no expert so I unfortunately can’t really give you something to compare it to. I let my guitar teacher (a shredder) check it out and he really liked it. The only thing I have trouble with is the floyd, there’s nothing wrong with it I’ve just never had one before. It has yet to grow on me 😂😂.
Not many retail Solar as it's mostly an "online brand" ie they have their own online store. But Thomann stocks Solar and ships to Iceland. 30 day money guarantee and they take back guitars no problem. Not sure if Solar-Guitars themselves do that, but it is a safe way to buy a guitar. Dislike? Send it back for full refund.
After a week, I’d have 3 favorite factory presets customized to my liking, and I’d end up never using 98% of what’s included. I like the Neural approach.
there was one in the early days of URM Academy/Nail The Mix...they called it the Desuckulator, all it did was remove 4k lol. No longer out there but it did happen at one point mostly as a joke but still lol
There's "resonance" in the picture here that is even better. It unstiffens the harshness all over 500hz-7khz and when tone is up, you get a softer high-end. In the mix, you can dail back maybe, but it almost acts non-linear, so I do neve boosts for that rather.

One of my favorites recto sims is the mainstay once dialed in. It sounds pretty good.
It sounds really good and that is paramount. It seems like you are able to work some real magic with the cabinet/mic sections. love it!
No matter what it is, you seem to be able to get a juicy tone out of it!

Wish ola knew that this was vildjarta’s signature plug-in

I like it, good layout sounds good. 🤘
I want some of these sweets Ola talks about so much 😂😂
Hiyyyaaaaass 😂 ola is an uncle Rodger fan?
I have this plug-in and mine doesn’t sound nearly as good. I’m guessing it’s because I use EMGs and my interface isn’t nearly as good as yours.
Emgs are fine. Get an active DI box to plug in before your guitar. It will give you a lot more character to your guitar. I use a countryman 85.
Can you use Amp Room without a DAW?
I dont think it runs standalone, but there are free programs on different OS for hosting just fx plugins

@@MFKR696 if he's using only 2% he must be only using pedals without a Head Or IR lol.
@@MFKR696 I must have accidentally implied I thought it was unique. I realize I’m not special.
Hiyaaa I'm telling Uncle Roger lol
There should be a plugin that just cuts the 4khz frequency so guitars don't sound so digital.

@@JayRuetschi Nice. That really should be a thing. Everyone knows the bad frequencies why not make a pedal that will cut the bad ones.

I dont see this replacing archetype tom morello but ill give it a try for sure 🤘
I can see now that your camera is tilted and it cant be unseen
Marshall is Swedish I thought they were British
They were bought out by a swedish bluetooth speaker company 😂😂
Where are the lefties, Ola?
Should of learned to play guitar the right way.
@OkayyyIGetIt You should have learnt grammar. It's "should have" and not "should of".
@@OkayyyIGetIt Oh.. Like Hendrix?
Says the one who uses "learnt" 😂 just poking fun @@sjftech
@Jaxon_69 Learnt is standard grammar here in the UK. Learned is standard in US grammar.
