I picked up Softube's Marshall Super Lead plugin last year at a special sale price, and it's honestly quite impressive. I've been using a NU-X Fet boost into a VOX NU-Tube Silk Drive direct to interface before plugins, and this method IMO ( mainly the Vox pedal) has really opened up the options of using other analog front end signal pedals into digital sims convincingly! I highly recommend.

What a super accurate review! Definitely I have to try this plugin, if it have Marshall license it must be great. I really love to get heavy tones with vintage amps. I'm actually playing nasty tones only with an Orange OR 100 and a TS and it's fun as f**k. Good job as always Ray. You are so inspiring to me.
Hey man Great video, I noticed your input gain is fairly up id say to 3/4 of the way there at the top left of the screen.
Any tips on how to achieve this?
When I am bringing my input gain on my interface I inevitably clip the channel.
I use a UAD interface, Thanks
Thoughts on other sims? ToneForge, Neural DPS, IK Multimedia, etc?

Thanks for the info! My one “problem” with many of these digital cabs/pedals (whether models or simulated) is that there aren’t any mobile apps to go along with it. Why is that? I mean, if Amplitube, Deplike, Bias, Ultimate Guitar, TONEX, Etc exist on iPhone and Android, where is Neural DSP, Amp Room, etc.?! Many people don’t even own computers, but even those who do want the option of having a totally mobile rig that’s truly portable - and most modern phones should have the processing power to make it happen just the same if not better as on most computers. Imagine using your tones at a gig without a needing to take a laptop along. Do a quick recording session via GarageBand (or other mobile software). Practicing guitar literally anywhere with your phone, a guitar, and a teeny practice amp at the park, in your car, at a friend’s house, or anywhere. People could also use mobile to purchase and tweak their tones/settings so their setup will be ready to rock when they return to their PC.
It’s in these companies best interest to port their PC/Mac software to iPhone/iPad and Android so it’s truly accessible anywhere. It’s not the first time I’ve said it, nor will it be the last - until every one of these companies does it. Please make this happen, SoftTube! Don’t be last to the party. I’m saying it because there’s so many benefits to having SoftTube in every guitarist’s pocket. These sims are just stellar and deserve to be available for mobile use too! Thanks! Great demo!

We're in 2023 and people are still haulin' tube amps on stage like its 1987! When you could just.... have a PC/Mac or a ToneX loaded up with your tone and hook it straight to the PA.
Softube has been really killing it.
Their soft synths are unreal as well.

From your shooting angle it looks like your studio space is in a low vaulted rectangular loft, and I don't understand why your mixing desk isn't positioned at either elongated end instead of having your monitors firing at the shallow parallel wall as they are now?
No disrespect my dude, and I clearly don't know the full layout or decisions that led you to setup that way.
I'm just being super geeky and inferring my limited knowledge of sound treatment, reflections, and standing nodes.
