As soon as you said no question is too stupid or too dumb, I subscribed! I feel like old people must have felt with cell phones. Just got mine today. So much to learn
Congrats!
Just bought a 3 and will be charging tomorrow for the first time. I figured it was pretty straightforward but wanted to see a video first. I’m 100% ready now thanks to your video. Thanks.
Glad I could help!
Mike. Picked up the Model 3 on Monday and went to the supercharger. Worked like a dream and thanks for the tips. The tip to use the next stall up is great, think gents toilets and you will always keep one spare next to you
Very welcome and congrats!
Good. To the point, no time wasted. Thanks for reminding us to precondition before supercharging.
Glad I could help!
Just got my car on Saturday and haven’t hook up my charge plug at home will be charging today at fast charging station.
Thanks you for a subscribe
Congratulations!
I don't drive a tesla, I'm not looking to buy one and I'm not really into EVs. Lol I'm not really sure why this popped up in my feed but I'm glad it did. This video was very Informative, to the point and well articulated. Great video and it was cool to see how bad ass the tesla "eco system" is. Incredible really..
Haha!
Used a Supercharger for the first time this week and realized I have free unlimited supercharging! 🥳 2016 Model X P90D
Thanks for the tips!
Awesome!
This was incredible! Tesla tells you nothing. I just got my new Tesla Friday…today is Sunday. They kept messing up my email address. I was concerned that i’d get to a charger and then what..do you swipe a credit card or what. Your step by step education was perfection. I think there is a market for a Tesla new owner orientation. I would have paid $109-$150 for such an primer. Thanks a lot!
Happy to help and congrats on your Tesla!
Just bought a Model S. Thank you for the tutorial! I'm already in love with this thing 😃
Congrats!
FANTASTIC video for the noob in us! Straight and to the point. Thanks!!
👍🏾
Now I know how to charge a car that I don’t own.
May come in handy someday!
Then why the hell watch and further leave a snarky comment? Oh I see you can’t afford one….well play the lottery, you may get lucky or better yet take the winnings and take a trip to Oz, the wizard might have a brain left.
You’re not alone
😂😂 the beauty of youtube
Me Efin too
Thank you Mike. I am planning my first out of town trip. I appreciate the tips. I’ve never used a supercharger. I’ve only charged at home.
Hope you have a good experience supercharging!
Thank you Mike for your video. I am very new to the Tesla world and have much to learn. Your video was exactly what I was looking for.
Welcome aboard!
Hi Mike. Thanks a bunch for the info. Just got my 2022 3LR and going to supercharger tonight.
Thanks again.
You’re very welcome, congrats!
Thanks, I knew a lot about them, but didn’t realise there were v1, v2 and v3. Also had no idea about the idle charge. I charge at home everyday but have a long road trip coming up with my family so haven’t used them yet but planning to. I was gonna grab a bite to eat and jist take our time before returning to the car, but I think you just saved my arse some cash by telling me about the idle charge! Thanks dude, very informative!
Glad i could help! Happy charging ⚡️
Thanks for the information I just bought my first model acid today coming off gas in man I am a little nervous but you eased my mind. Thank you.

Thank you. My wife and I are looking at taking the leap to Tesla.
You should do it! Check out this video; it’s meant for Tesla haters but you can learn a lot ua-cam.com/video/85xZq7mCKSc/v-deo.htmlsi=sPiDiXB7k0KyNs3D
@@MikeSeuss Thank You
Awesome video. Cool 👍 so Tesla sends the BILL $$$ to our house then ? Or we gotten pay the charge bill from the App ?
You connect your credit/debit card to your Tesla account and it charges your card. There are no bills sent to your jouseb
Cool video, thank you for making it. Looking forward to getting my Tesla soon and now I have a clue what to do if I need a Super Charging station.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video bro 👍
Thank you
Thanks man! I was completely unaware of how this work. Headed to a charger now! 🔋
👍🏾
What a great video! I just picked up a Model 3 and this is very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
I just picked up my Model Y on Saturday, 12/4.
Awesome congrats!
Hello Mike, do you know why the key card reader spot entry on the column gets overheated to the degree that cannot be touched? Thank you
Hey, I've never experienced or heard of this issue so im not sure. It sounds concerning and i would contact Tesla to make sure everything is ok
Thank you! Straight to the point! Very helpful!
Welcome!
Thank you Mike. Very useful tips. I am getting my Tesla Y tomorrow. Athens Greece.
Awesome congrats, btw I was just in Athens earlier this month!
I have a question , I’m planning on getting a model 3 because gas is killing me. How much is it to charge it completely every time you go to the super charger. And how long does the charge last
It depends on various factors like which trim model 3 you get. If you buy new or used and what type of super charger you are using. I’d visit Teslas website for more clear information because it would be a lot to type here
Thanks!
No problem!
Old video but still holds true in 2024. Thank you for the information, switching from Porsche Panamera 4S to Tesla Model S and this video is very helpful
Glad it helped!
Thank you, awesome video!.
Very welcome
Thank you
You're welcome!
Thanks! I am renting a Tesla for the first time.
I'm signed up for a CyberTruck, so I'll need to know this.
Welcome
How do you remove the charging cable? My sister has a model Y and isn't sure how to remove it. Thank you.
Just press the button on the handle of the charger
Great video. Thank you!
You are welcome!
Great video! That was super helpful for a new Tesla owner.
Im Happy it was helpful!
I stay in an apartment where I rent a Gaurage and I’m only able to do level one charging. But I’m okay with that because I only do level one charging when I have to go on a business trip for a week or so that way I don’t come back home to a dead battery. So I mostly rely on super charging my car at least twice a week. I think it’s still cheaper than gas. When I use to pay 65 dollars every 4 days to fill up my car. Me staying in an apartment won’t be forever this is just what I have for now to work with.
Ive had my Tesla for just over a year and have been using level one as well!
Perfect video, to the point. This is exactly what I need. Thank you for the video.
You're welcome!
Very informative. Thanks Mike
Welcome!
4:14 its starting for what you have come 😏
👍🏾
So i'm renting a Model 3 for upcoming trip, since i dont own the car or wont have a Tesla account or app, how does one pay for charging?
If you’re renting a car, you can charge it as usual and it will be billed to the rental company and then the rental company will charge you for usage when you return the car
Thanks for this video. It really helps me with charging my car.
Very welcome!
Thanks Mike…. I Just bought a Model S …. Super excited to Charge em up after work….. ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Congratulations! No problem!
Awesome clear presentation. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
What abou battery replacement if it ever needs after warranty expires
Check out my video on Tesla Maintenance
Thanks, Mike! Very informative. I don't own a Tesla, but I am considering it. Videos like this are very useful.
Thank you, if you’re considering it check out this video ua-cam.com/video/QJ6BdjhjUH0/v-deo.html
Awesome! Very in depth! I guess there will be a part two on how to disconnect the charger?
No part two needed. It disconnects the same way it goes in. Just push the button on the handle and pull it out. Simple!
Thank you for the information
Glad I could help!
Great video. Thank you.
You’re welcome
Does supercharging affect the batteries?
Only on a older trslas with the lithium batteries if you charge to 100%
Thank you. This was so helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for such an informative video!
You are so welcome!
Thank you for this video!
Welcome!
Mike, thanks I needed that!!
Welcome!
Excellent!! Knowledgeable, easy to understand and kept simple!!
Happy you enjoyed it!
Great video, super detailed and answered some questions I've always had. Gonna pick up my M3LR soon and this is the best supercharging video i've found. I'm assuming we should go for the ones without labeled A or B if we want to find the V3 charger?
It’s kind of tricky because after this video I’ve heard some V3s are labeled the same. Your best bet is to use the navigation and select the V3 charger stations, that way you know for sure that All the chargers are V3 and that station
Very good, comprehensive video
Glad it was helpful!
So how much does it cost to fully charge
The price varies on a lot of things. Like which Tesla you have, your location, and time of day. On average it’s about $20-$25 to add 250 miles. Keep in mind that charging is much cheaper at home which averages at just $0.16 per kWh.
Do I need a Tesla app to use this ?
No but you do need a Tesla account
Hmm, after a few seconds of flashing green, the light goes out (or black). When it's reporting fully charged in the app, it still is black (off), doesn't show green during or after charging
Hmm, it should only be green while charging
@@MikeSeuss It blinks green for about 30 seconds then goes black (off). Another question. The battery drops about 5%-10% charge every day I don't drive it, is that normal? I only drive periodically, and noticed that if I charge to 80% after a few days it can be down to 50% or lower even though it's not been touched for that time.
Mine Tesla is being delivered today!!!
Congrats!!!!🤩 I’m about a week or so behind you. 😊
@@musicmaker1311 Nice, I've been waiting since 7am and its now 3pm for delivery though 😒
@@ASuwan22 are u having it delivered to your home? My “delivery” will be from the dealership. I know the first day can be hectic but it’ll be worth the wait😁
Nice don’t forget to use the checklist before you drive off the lot! ua-cam.com/video/MRl-zkEgpuI/v-deo.html
Thanks bro. From Turkiye.
👍🏾
Thanks for the info
Any time!
What if you're renting a Tesla? How would you pay them?
Tesla rental cars have accounts set up the company, the rental company will bill you for any charging fees you’ve incurred while renting the car.
Hi Mike, Thanks for the clear instructions. Just wondering what kind of charger you are plugged in your Tesla on the video?
The charger I use at home in this video is the Tesla Mobile Adapter
Sub’d, Since I’ve ordered a M3 performance I’ve watched all your vids. Good stuff!
Thanks much appreciated and glad you’re enjoying the content!
Super Charger often called Level 3-4 level 3 gives 150KWH Level 4 gives you 250KHW in other words 250KWH is 2X faster than 150KHW , Generally 250KHW = 15 minute charge Level 1 and 2 chargers are generally home chargers Level 1 = 120v Level 2 is 220V 48A = 10.5 KWH max and will be about 25 x slower which = about 6.25 hours to charge fully
Thanks
Very good presentation. Very useful and simple! Nice job
Thank you!
The payment thing is weird to me. I am renting a Tesla. The rental company said nothing to me about charging or payment. I obviously don’t own the car. Does the rental company just get charged?
Correct, you can just pull up to a charger and plug In, the rental company will get charged but you’ll need to pay them for it once the car is returned
Good straight to the point !
👍🏾
I plugged in my Tesla to my backyard outlet and the electricity went off, what should I do?
I would unplug and reset your circuit breaker. I wouldn’t use the outlet again since it may not be capable of handling the charger you’re using.
Awesome. Covered everything
Glad you enjoyed it!
What amp should be used to charge. Im a new Tesla owner, have yet to charge. The amp selection goes up to A48.
You can charge as high as possible!
Hi! New Tesla owner here. Earlier tonight I went and did my first supercharge. While the charge was occurring, the touchscreen showed the amount of time left and the cost. However, when I opened up the app the session doesn't even show up under the "Charge Stats". Do you know why?
Your first Supercharging experience sounds exciting, but I understand the confusion about the "Charge Stats". Sometimes, the charging session might not immediately update in the app due to various reasons like a delay in data synchronization between your car and the Tesla servers. It could show up after a bit of time, so give it a few hours (or possibly a day) and then check again. If it still doesn’t appear, you might want to reach out to Tesla support to ensure everything is in order with your account and app.
I just bought a model y from a 3rd party. So I don't have it all set up on the app. Can I still use the super charger?
Yes the person who owned the car has to remove it from there account. Then you can add the car to your account
Great video my man, very helpful
Glad it helped
Hey Mike, i supercharged my 2023 Model 3 to 100% for a road-trip n drove 200 miles. However, my battery is only now 10%. Any tips conserve battery and calibrate battery?
Driving speed is a big one, try to stay under 70mph on road-trips if possible. Also everything uses electric, this includes heat and ac. You can also trail behind bigger cars to reduce drag.
What up bro! I live in NC as well and about to purchase my first Tesla Model 3. Can't wait to get it. Your vids have been very informative. As a gaming content creator, I'm sure I will be exploring and showcasing gaming in my Model 3. Who knows, maybe we could collaborate on a vid one day since you're right up the street. 😁 Keep up the quality content bro. Had to hit that sub for quality vids and to show love to a fellow NC native.
Much appreciated man I’m glad I can help. When you get it hit me up!
@@MikeSeuss will definitely do that bro.
Great video. Thanks Mike
Glad you enjoyed it
love your videos man!!! just subbed after binging all of ur tesla stuff :D
Thanks man much appreciated!
Good stuff. Thanks!
You bet!
I used the Supercharger and thought I knew what I was doing since I charged my car no problem hundreds of times. I attempted to remove the cable after the charging was over. I attempted to pull out the cable like normal when I unlocked it. Boy was I wrong. Sometimes it can get stuck. I tried the manual release in the trunk, didnt work. I heard the connectors trying to connect and it couldn’t. I saw the error code for it not being completely connected. The light gave me yellow then red then green. I could not remove it till I shoved it back in really hard to then remove the cable as normal. I hope this helps anyone who encounters this problem so you do not panic when you can not remove the cable. Please do not pull the cable too hard, you don’t want to break it.
Thanks for sharing!
I preconditioned 4 miles to V3 250w in a 2021 rear wheel drive model 3. It only maxed at a 75kw charge. Are certain models this limited in charge speed? Was my first time using a rental Tesla
It can depend on various factors, such as if you are sharing a charger, weather and your battery condition
@@MikeSeuss 65 degrees, and it was a V3 which Tesla claims doesn't slow down if shared
How do I get my Tesla in the system, so I can be charged at a charging station
You need to register your car on the tesla app
Thanks.
You're welcome
Great video. I just subscribed to your channel. Well taught
Thanks for the sub!
