I love reading through all the comments about how easy this E4 was. I went up against Siebold with three fire types. If that doesn't make you sweat, nothing does.
This song has come up two times in my X randomizer so far: -First time was on like, route 3 or something, super early game. Some youngster rolled into Wikstrom, so I had the banger tune blasting while I slapped his like level 4 magnemite into oblivion. After the battle this giant knight in shining armor said to me “Mommy told me to be polite, especially when I lose.” -Second time however was on like route 6, I accidentally walked in front of like, a lass or something, expecting little, when once again this theme kicks up and I come face to face with Malva. I throw out my Glameow and what does she yeet forth but a level 19 scatterbug. Its her only Pokémon. I thought this couldn’t be an even more epic battle, but then this tiny little baby uwu scatterbug started exerting its pressure. My poor Glameow was Quaking at the feet of this level 19 caterpillar
If Lysandre would have just told Malva to take care of you earlier in the game, he would have succeeded with his plan easily. She is a Team Flare member and is quite a bit more powerful than any other TF member.
Bruh she was the easiest of the Kalos elite four and that’s saying a lot as you had to have a Pokémon that knows surf and waterfall so you can literally sweep her team with an HM slave
If there's one thing Kalos did good, then it's the Elite 4 music. Unfortunately, by the time it starts getting intense, you usually have already beaten them. Sad.
***** Oh, a fellow Starbounder. :p Fortunately, you can fight them in the Battle Chateau, and I believe they have their battle theme. Then again, they still only use three Pokémon, which can be Lv. 75 max.
Unless you are facing Wikstrom's Aegislash. Even with a team 10 levels higher than his, he managed to defeat two of my Pokémon, the others, however, didn't have the privilege to defeat me.
It took us until 2022 for Drasna to appear in the anime and she just recently entered Pokemon Masters EX So after all this time waiting… we can finally see more of her because she is one of my favorite Elite Four members and the anime version of her is EXACTLY how I wanted her to be like: sweetly psychotic
I wish they could've done more with it, I was looking forward to a bit more kalos exposure esp when they introduced galar, but now it doesn't seem like that's happening at all,,,,
00:00 This sounds so boring. This new generation could have at least have better mu- 00:11 Oh. That's pretty cool. Still not good enough. 00:23 That's interesting. 00:27 Okay... where are they going with this? 01:10 I think I found a new theme to add to my favorite battle music list.
When I was doing my Pokemon x nuzlocke, I breezed through the Elite four, but when I got to Winstrom, he killed my whole team except my skarmory. I ended up taking out diantha's whole team with just my level 71 skarmory
Beezyy when you can only catch the first Pokemon you encounter in each area once, and if one of your Pokemon faints you have to put it in a 'dead box' or release it.
i just think there's way too little happening for it to be an elite four theme. every other elite four always has something going on, but this one is pretty empty. plus it acts like its building into something epic, but loops before anything even remotely cool happens.
I think one day Gamefreak should program the Elite Four and champion to always have higher level Pokemon than the highest leveled Pokemon than you have in your party. And yes even if it's level 100 then all elite four Pokemon would be level 100 that would be a challenge
fan2mario64 The difference is that the Battle Frontier has been proven to be cheating immensely to create artificial difficulty. Hackers and programmers revealed that the more you progress, opponents get max EVs in ALL of their pokemon stats, low accuracy moves get increased modifiers, critical hit chances raise, secondary effect chances raise, and evasion chances raise. Meanwhile, YOU get further reduced accuracy on non-100 accuracy moves, lessened critical hit chances, lessened secondary effect chances, and have to deal with legendaries later. So yeah, Battle Frontier is literally no different than facing off against hackers.
This is a neat idea, but I feel that it should happen after a couple re-challenges, since some people just want to finish the game and go multiplayer or postgame or something.
Always thought this was one the best elite 4 themes despite the lack of depth in X and Y. We should’ve gotten more from Kalos before we got ORAS and I even loved ORAS.
I decided to play Pokémon Y with Exp. Share turned off and Siebold actually destroyed my team. Even when I came back to the League with my pokémon 4/5 levels higher, I beat the other 3 members of the Elite 4 and Diantha, but Siebold still was a pain to deal with.
Drasna: “Oh, you’re going already? Farewell, then!” Me: What’d you expect was gonna happen?! Sylveon cut through your team like a hot knife through butter! If you want me to stay longer, then get some more Pokémon with higher levels and better type coverage.”
Coverage and team composition was good. But just having 4 Pokemon, yourself being (most likely, as practically everyone) overleveled and also them not having ANY EV/IV training
@@Oscarus4250Its funny how the Kalos Elite Four get bashed deservedly for being a man short, yet the Unova Elite Four are basically unanimously considered to be the hardest despite also only using four Pokemon. It really shows how neccessary stronger Pokemon/high stats and proper movesets are for a set of lategame boss fights.
The biggest issue I have with this track is it takes too long to build up. Instead of the main melody starting an entire minute and 10 seconds in it should have started at the 50 second mark to me. After the annoying build up its great.
DuckyTheGamer you mean the repetitive as fuck theme? No it does not, this one destroys it. People like to bring Unova in everything and while that game had some really nice themes, the Reshi/Zekrom and elitefour/champ were not amongst their best. Right now the best elite four themes are gen 1,2,3,6.
Does anyone else notice the similarities between the Kalos and Kanto Elite Four? I mean: Malva - Lorelei (Both are sassy redheads with glasses, and they are both the first to greet you when you enter the Pokèmon league) Wikstrom - Bruno (Both are strong, warrior types that value chivalry and honour) Drasna - Agatha (They're both old women with a passion for battles) Siebold - Lance (They are both handsome guys with overly serious personalities, and they both use Gyarados) I don't know if this was intentional or not, but considering all the call-backs to Gen 1 in this game I wouldn't be surprised.
Johto's Elite Four are pointing fingered at these guys and LAUGHING AT THEM. Then their theme kicks in... Kalos' Elite Four are pointing figures at those guys and LAUGHING AT THEM.
They should had that team in normal game and a 6 pokemon and higher levels for the rematch For Malva Flareon Magcargo Charizard or Simisear For Siebold Azumarill Crawdaunt Golduck or other water types For Wikstrom just add Scavalier For Drasna i would like other mega since charizard its not a Dragon type until mega evolves i would say Mega Altaria and for the six member a Hydreigon or other dragon types
Drasna: Poisonous sea dragon for those pesky fairies, and a bat-wyvern. Wikstrom: Keys and Excalibur. Malva: Fire breathing lioness and falcon! Seibold: Dr.Claw and the Ugly Barnacle. These guys were pretty great. I still enjoy facing them at the Battle Chateau!
>tfw I named my Aegislash "Excalibur". >tfw I fought Wikstrom, and him and I were employing the same exact tactic of alternating between King's Shield, and a ghost type attack
This is probably my favorite Elite Four theme so far. Loved it, although I hope in future games we get to know them a little more. Like, it would have been cool if you somehow got to team up with the Elite Four to stop Team Flare or whoever, sort of like how all 8 gym leaders from Black 1 and White 1 showed up at N's castle to help you. By doing that they could develop their personalities a lot further, and when you do finally battle them at the end, it'll be that much more epic. Anyways, like I said, such badass music xD.
Malva's a Team Flare member though. Plus, the whole region seemed completely uninvolved with Team Flare. They weren't mentioned nearly as much as Team Plasma when there wasn't a crisis happening.
I played a nuzlocke challenge...after 4 dragon dances i was like wtf...it flinched my umbreon to death with waterfall and my blastoise to death with crunch...every other pkmn I got stood no chance. OHKO
My team for this LV 100 Delphox LV 100 Raichu LV 100 Beedrill Lv 100 Mega Lucario LV 100 Blastoise LV 89 Xearneas This proves the EXP share is too broken
The best Elite Four music I'd say, because you feel the intensity of the whole adventure boiling to this very point. Also it is very unique for an Elite Four song. I mean, usually the previous ones were the SAME music as all of the previous generations except a bit changed, ya know, less pixelated, more modernized.
Kanjoos Lahookvinhaakvinhookvin If you had a point, but you don't, because everyone has different difficulties against everything. You aren't the first to say they were easy, friggin Siebold is a beast. Wikstrom's scizor can qreck house if you didn't choose a Charizard or Delphox, Gale Wings Talonflame, and.... Drasna isn't real threatening. But, the Elite four is always either easy or tough.
Boss Lysandre I guess you have a point, but I remember plowing through pretty much everything with underleveled pokemon. I don't think I used my Aegislash even once.
EASILY my absolute favorite Elite 4 theme...this thumps damn near the entire length of the song. 0:22... something about that added little melody there really got me the first time. it's a really nice and steady buildup from there... this is definitely a song where I wasn't sure where it was going.
I started Pokémon later in my childhood, Y was my first game. This is especially nostalgic to me, and tbh it always makes me sad when people drag it. Like there’s certainly better Elite Four themes out there but the themed chambers and everything were AWESOME. Kalos will forever hold a special place in my heart
The best part of the game was victory road and the elite four. For some reason for me it was a challenge, but I was like 10 years old. But Kalos was a good experience
@@Scrilp beat them all on my first try when i was 9, it was my 2nd pokemon game, (1st one was pearl but never completed and remembered like nothing) i had absolutely no experience with weaknesses or advantages or any of it. my strat was level my pokemon up all the way and win with brute force lmfao
This is also the battle theme of the Battle Maison's Elite Four: Battle Chatelaine Nita (Single) Battle Chatelaine Evelyn (Double) Battle Chatelaine Dana (Triple) Battle Chatelaine Morgan (Rotation)
I got to enjoy this multiple times due to my copy of Y randomly crashing when I got to the Hall of Fame 😃 (did eventually get through it without the game crashing, which was nice)
So I guess I’m the only one who struggled with Malva?? I almost ran out of PP for my poor Azumarill’s Surf, somehow, and resorted to using Yveltal to take down her Chandelure. Siebold though? Mercilessly destroyed by a Vileplume lol
I love how almost transcendental this theme sounds. Nothing about the Kalos elite four warrants electro futuristic drum n bass, and yet this fits perfectly.
I feel like Malva stands out alot for being pretty interesting with her involvenment with Team flare and the plot. Also shout out to Wilkstrom for being the only marginally challenging member of the Kalos league (Probopass and Aegislash, oof)
This lowkey mad underrated Elite 4 theme I love the baseline and how simple it is throughout. It gives off that you dealing with something you fully don’t understand yet so you go in blind to face it and accept whatever your fate is
I bought Pokémon X the day it came out and beat it in less than a week. It was actually the first Pokémon game I've ever played and I was a kid, so I actually did find these fights to be pretty difficult the first time. The music really helped build the atmosphere.
@@Xman34washere Lol what? Fire, Fighting, Ground (most common types and are everywhere) and it's over before the theme actually starts lol. And it's gen6 so you have all the selection of Pokémons from 5 previous generations. That's where they messed up.
I got it for Christmas Day that year, I was one of the lucky ones who got their hands on the event Torchic, Mega Blaziken definitely kicked some ass, managed to complete the game no sweat 😂
In my opinion the best Elite Four Theme that Pokémon has to offer. It's dramatic and tense, filled with suspense. This song makes you feel like you've almost reached the end of your journey, and as one of the final walls, four strong trainers stretch you to the limit, and where there's no turning back now.
I got through this entire game up until the 4th elite 4 battle without knowing about potions. This was my first Pokémon game and the first rpg I beat when I was in 5th grade.
Is Pokemon X/Y really that easy? Did this Pokemon game trade difficulty for graphics? I remember reading a comment saying that X/Y is all about style...
I wouldn't say that "traded" for graphics. they could hav easily kept the difficultly level the same and have the same graphics. it more like they are pandering to the more casual market then to the competitive.
If I were to make a pokemon game the pokemon league would be like this: 1.Rock type (architect, the man who build the league) 2.Electric type (android woman, in love with space and robots) 3.Grass type (old nature loving woman with a big heart) 4.Mix type (young girl who will introduce pokemon league's first double battle) 5.Flying type (an elegant quiet man, champion)
When we're talking about theme here. This one is very intimidating for me, put that together with Siebold's glare. If only they're harder, that would spice things up.
I have a new found respect for gen 6 after playing with no exp share, no opportunity to switch before the opponent sends out their next Pokémon and no healing or reviving during battle (items the Pokémon can hold are allowed). Especially for these guys. With the rule set I just mentioned they were a decent challenge
Everyone be saying the music gets good midway through the song, but I'm here rocking to that awesome and foreboding bass line in the intro.

This song has come up two times in my X randomizer so far:
-First time was on like, route 3 or something, super early game. Some youngster rolled into Wikstrom, so I had the banger tune blasting while I slapped his like level 4 magnemite into oblivion. After the battle this giant knight in shining armor said to me “Mommy told me to be polite, especially when I lose.”
-Second time however was on like route 6, I accidentally walked in front of like, a lass or something, expecting little, when once again this theme kicks up and I come face to face with Malva.
"mommy told me to be polite, even when i lose" -wikstrom 2023
XY randomizers exist?
If Lysandre would have just told Malva to take care of you earlier in the game, he would have succeeded with his plan easily. She is a Team Flare member and is quite a bit more powerful than any other TF member.
Yeah good luck to her doing that to my team my start is always going to be greninja
Isn’t she an ex member though? Why would she listen to him?
Well, she was in the team until the end, i believe.
Bruh she was the easiest of the Kalos elite four and that’s saying a lot as you had to have a Pokémon that knows surf and waterfall so you can literally sweep her team with an HM slave
Tomas L but waterfall and surf are the best hms tho?
If there's one thing Kalos did good, then it's the Elite 4 music. Unfortunately, by the time it starts getting intense, you usually have already beaten them. Sad.
Yup. That's the messed up part :| Good music, way too easy to defeat before it gets to the best part.
Hect yet more music composed by Clemont
Well, except Siebold. I found him more challenging than the champion, which was fun after Fenneking obliterated Wikstrom with little outside help.
Siebold: Chef
Malva: EVIL reporter
Drasna: happy dragon lady
Wikstrom: YE OLD KNIGHT
It took us until 2022 for Drasna to appear in the anime and she just recently entered Pokemon Masters EX
So after all this time waiting… we can finally see more of her because she is one of my favorite Elite Four members and the anime version of her is EXACTLY how I wanted her to be like: sweetly psychotic

Beezyy
It's when a Pokémon faints, it's considered dead.
Beezyy when you can only catch the first Pokemon you encounter in each area once, and if one of your Pokemon faints you have to put it in a 'dead box' or release it.
Welcome 888 wait is it a game mode or is it just something people do for fun? I think I just might try it
Damn this is a great elite 4 theme. I don't get all y'all saying it only gets good at 1:08, that solo bass line is perfect for an elite 4 battle.
i just think there's way too little happening for it to be an elite four theme. every other elite four always has something going on, but this one is pretty empty. plus it acts like its building into something epic, but loops before anything even remotely cool happens.
I think one day Gamefreak should program the Elite Four and champion to always have higher level Pokemon than the highest leveled Pokemon than you have in your party. And yes even if it's level 100 then all elite four Pokemon would be level 100 that would be a challenge
And the difference between that and the battle frontier would be...
fan2mario64 idunno, maybe the battle frontier could use some totally unfair predictions or teams that counter your own? Oh haha wait.
fan2mario64 The difference is that the Battle Frontier has been proven to be cheating immensely to create artificial difficulty.
Alison Zhang nurufufufu
Always thought this was one the best elite 4 themes despite the lack of depth in X and Y. We should’ve gotten more from Kalos before we got ORAS and I even loved ORAS.

@@zzeroara9511i got news for you (yeah i’m a week late)

Haha Jolteon goes brrrr
Drasna: “Oh, you’re going already? Farewell, then!”
Me: What’d you expect was gonna happen?! Sylveon cut through your team like a hot knife through butter! If you want me to stay longer, then get some more Pokémon with higher levels and better type coverage.”
Literally exactly why I try to give my dragon types steel/poison moves
Coverage and team composition was good.
But just having 4 Pokemon, yourself being (most likely, as practically everyone) overleveled and also them not having ANY EV/IV training
@@Oscarus4250Its funny how the Kalos Elite Four get bashed deservedly for being a man short, yet the Unova Elite Four are basically unanimously considered to be the hardest despite also only using four Pokemon. It really shows how neccessary stronger Pokemon/high stats and proper movesets are for a set of lategame boss fights.
@brendansage6876 they are?
I thought they were even easier than these folks.
The biggest issue I have with this track is it takes too long to build up. Instead of the main melody starting an entire minute and 10 seconds in it should have started at the 50 second mark to me. After the annoying build up its great.
I think that was an issue with a lot of the XY music. Some of it never even got to the melody, just build up for the whole thing.

Hello peoples from many years ago!
@Registeel Hello
@Registeel There
@Registeel I was hoping that reference would be noticed!
Does anyone else notice the similarities between the Kalos and Kanto Elite Four? I mean:
Malva - Lorelei (Both are sassy redheads with glasses, and they are both the first to greet you when you enter the Pokèmon league)
Wikstrom - Bruno (Both are strong, warrior types that value chivalry and honour)
Drasna - Agatha (They're both old women with a passion for battles)
Siebold - Lance (They are both handsome guys with overly serious personalities, and they both use Gyarados)
I don't know if this was intentional or not, but considering all the call-backs to Gen 1 in this game I wouldn't be surprised.
Dobadobadooo *siiigh* oh lance ❤️👀

The best Elite Four music I'd say, because you feel the intensity of the whole adventure boiling to this very point. Also it is very unique for an Elite Four song. I mean, usually the previous ones were the SAME music as all of the previous generations except a bit changed, ya know, less pixelated, more modernized.
Somebody hasn't played BW and its sequels.
I have. I don't like them as much.
Too bad the battles were painfully easy this time around. If this were used in Diamond or Pearl I'd be convinced there is a god.

"Siebold sent out garados!"

My team was hmmm lemme remember....
Oh Greninja Talonflame Sylveon Lucario Xerneas Venusaur
I hate reading all these comments about how easy they are, because I still never managed to beat them.
I actually lost to them. I was 9 and it was my first Pokémon game.
These guys are hard as long as you don’t know weaknesses very well or don’t have much battling experience outside the story.
This is also the battle theme of the Battle Maison's Elite Four:
Battle Chatelaine Nita (Single)
Battle Chatelaine Evelyn (Double)
Battle Chatelaine Dana (Triple)
Battle Chatelaine Morgan (Rotation)
I got to enjoy this multiple times due to my copy of Y randomly crashing when I got to the Hall of Fame 😃 (did eventually get through it without the game crashing, which was nice)
That collar on his neck sort of looks like Milcery... *AND HE'S A CHEF!*
Malva and Siebold were monsters on the battlefield during my playthrough.
To me they were pathetic, swiped through the elite four with only my aggron and garchomp
I sweeped malva with just a freaking greninja
So I guess I’m the only one who struggled with Malva?? I almost ran out of PP for my poor Azumarill’s Surf, somehow, and resorted to using Yveltal to take down her Chandelure.
Siebold though? Mercilessly destroyed by a Vileplume lol
For me, the entire E4 was kind of hard for me, probably because I was still sort of a noob back in the day.
Definitely one of my favorite generations 🙌
I love how almost transcendental this theme sounds. Nothing about the Kalos elite four warrants electro futuristic drum n bass, and yet this fits perfectly.
I feel like Malva stands out alot for being pretty interesting with her involvenment with Team flare and the plot. Also shout out to Wilkstrom for being the only marginally challenging member of the Kalos league (Probopass and Aegislash, oof)

In my opinion the best Elite Four Theme that Pokémon has to offer. It's dramatic and tense, filled with suspense. This song makes you feel like you've almost reached the end of your journey, and as one of the final walls, four strong trainers stretch you to the limit, and where there's no turning back now.
As a gen 6 fan… THIS MUSIC HAS ALWAYS BEEN SLAPPING HARD WITH NOSTALGIA!!
This song brings back so many memories. My first Pokémon games was Pokémon X. It will forever be one of my favorites.
Siebold is awesome, the coolest of the elite four.
I got through this entire game up until the 4th elite 4 battle without knowing about potions. This was my first Pokémon game and the first rpg I beat when I was in 5th grade.
WE BACK?!? 😮
What’s funny is Siebold is canonically in like the top 10 strongest trainers in the Pokémon world lmao
only elite four i didnt have to even remotely grind for. you can clear them far to easily
Is Pokemon X/Y really that easy?
Did this Pokemon game trade difficulty for graphics?
I remember reading a comment saying that X/Y is all about style...
I wouldn't say that "traded" for graphics. they could hav easily kept the difficultly level the same and have the same graphics. it more like they are pandering to the more casual market then to the competitive.
you played with the exp.share on didn't you
Kenneth Pangilinan playing with the exp. share on makes the game stupidly easy i don't recommend using it
Riygan Angerlich Oh no. Haven't played that game yet. Still no 3DS emulator yet.
If I were to make a pokemon game the pokemon league would be like this:
1.Rock type (architect, the man who build the league)
2.Electric type (android woman, in love with space and robots)
3.Grass type (old nature loving woman with a big heart)
4.Mix type (young girl who will introduce pokemon league's first double battle)
5.Flying type (an elegant quiet man, champion)
What about a Poison type, a doctor that uses his pokémon also for research and help people? :)
CannibalPedroX94 That would be cool too! :) A doctor would be nice :)
With that love couple, wouldn't it be the Elite 5?
FusionBlade If we change it to a young girl who challenges the player for double battle :)
Who are you and why you have an almost exact name as me?
When anyone battled Siebold, did he remind you of Sanji the chef on One Piece?
I wouldn't be surprised if Game Freak had him in mind.
they probabpy took Sanji into Pokemon, changed his hairstyle and clothes

9 YEARS????
7 YEARS! I swear X/Y are new games. I'm feeling old
I have a new found respect for gen 6 after playing with no exp share, no opportunity to switch before the opponent sends out their next Pokémon and no healing or reviving during battle (items the Pokémon can hold are allowed). Especially for these guys. With the rule set I just mentioned they were a decent challenge
7 fucking years... Damm.. i rlly feel the nostalgia
