Main goal of these video concept ideas:
My main goal for these kind of videos is to be as creative as possible!
Let me explain:
- Firstly, my very first channel Mixeli (But also my latest one Volipok) post tons of Gameplays from Every Generation (Which once again was played and recorded by myself in it's entirety. It took me many years of works.)
My video have Educational Value and let me explain why: It does provide help to the user who watch the video. One of the few example for that is which musics is played from my gameplays. It could easily be found on video cards (The exclamation mark "!" you see on the video above at the right) and vice versa. (This mean that on this video for example, you could also find my actual battle gameplays of where this music is played)
- Secondly, My video are transformative enough, I took the time to play the game and recording the musics. I took the time to improve it's original quality using Vegas Pro. Thanks to a program called "Track EQ" that you can find on Vegas Pro.
This program allow the user to enhance it's original quality and further improving it. This need concentration as each version has different audio quality.
- Thirdly and as you have noticed: On each Generation, I use different background that I bought on a website called Shutterstock. (Which I have bought at least 336 pictures background, just so I can become as creative as possible and also work on a lot of different style using those background)
This kind of concept was created by myself since 2011. Today it has become one of the main concept of my channel that I personally created.
- Lastly is to bring the community together. I have noticed that so many people are commenting and giving their opinions on the video, sharing their experience about characters from the game, confirming theory, saying funny stuff and I find this extremely amazing and interesting! I don't want their comment to be unnoticed so I have plan for the future of my content about commenting and sharing their experience on videos that I will produce one day!

I know it’s a master ball… but the professor holding it while it’s still shaking is such a power move.
Oh, I agree- I don't see anyone else talking about how raw it was that it wasn't even fully caught yet and the professors just hold it and don't even look like they know what the turnout will be. Like, yeah, it's a Master Ball, but it really just captures this sort of "Nothing can defy my will or expectations, for it is simply impossible for me to fail" and makes the buildup to the fight itself so much more menacing.
Also gnarly that they’re casually pulling a Pokémon from another time and making them instantly do their will.
The Professors were absolutely ruthless here.
They should’ve used a Master Ball in SwSh when Leon failed to capture Eternatus
I know right! I never thought about someone holding a pokeball while it's still shaking. As you said, it is a master ball and it would never break out but it was still such a badass scene

The professor standing up there catching a master ball out the portal and dropping in down to fight you is big gigachad energy. One of the biggest flexes in the series.

Yeah coming directly from the time machine, what a bunch of gigachads. I would have loved to explore at least a tiny bit of the distant past/future tho, pretty much like ultra-wormholes in USUM.
@@brieuxbayot6823 Don't worry about it... prob will be part of the DLC. We are not done with Terra crystals and time travel.
It's how Sada and Toro managed to capture Paradox Pokemon from the Past and Future. They sent Master Balls through the time machine to guarantee a successful capture. It's why it consistently keeps spitting them out.

I genuinely believe, if the devs had some extra time for scarlet and violet they would easily crown the best 3d mainline games. The entire plot of area zero, arven, the professors and koraidon/miraidon is absolutely incredible

Edit: apparently I'm only talking about game mechanics and even after others clarify that SV isn't a bad story, "wokees" deny it for the reason of "it's a pokemon game", which I find funny. Yes! A game is bad because of the series it's based around! Logic!

What I kinda love is how like these two represent the main theme of the game pushed to its narrative and moral extreme. “Finding what you treasure most”, oh boy they certainly found it… and chased after it without thinking about any of the consequences. They’re what happens when a dream, a treasure, turns into unchecked obsession.
This is a *fantastic* way to put it.
Also, treasures becoming curses, that's exactly what the legendary quartet is!

@dreamyflowerboy4811 Kind of felt like, to me personally, that they fervently pursued to obtain what they thought was a precious treasure, only to discover in the end that the treasure they thought they sought turned out to be more like fool's gold... and their real treasure would be the son they would never see again.
And in their obsession, the AI became more human than their own creator....

Something interesting I noticed is that when you fight them, the game changes their name from AI Sada/Turo, to *PROFESSOR* Sada/Turo. That manic dialogue during the battle isn't just the system talking, it's what the original professors would've actually said. They were genuinely insane.

The professor was the true villain all along
The Professors must've been extremely desperate to see there dreams be a reality. There Ai must've learned the damage they would caused and realized they could've damaged the entire world so they called the player to stop the time machine. But the original professors didn't realize the damages they would've called so if they was still alive they most likely wouldn't call the players to fix there mistake.
That's crazy to think about. If they was still alive they would've been the villains.
Edit:So ive learned that appeartly, the paradox pokemon we're in the great creator before the time machine. So that means what ever is inthe great creator must have some time paradox mumbo jumbo. So I feel like Sada/Turo wanted to tap into that power over time with the time machine. And then cataclysm happened and killed them. All of this happen right after the start of the game. Koraidon or Miraidon was retreating from the cataclysm that happened in the great creator. So I have a personal theory about the great creator. I have a feeling that durring the beginning middle just between the new games and legends Arceus I feel like there was some divine intervention between dialga and the great creator. Or it could be another pokemon entirely. As we really don't have the 3rd pokemon to complete the box trio. Then again did Enternatus really count as the trio between Zacian and Zamazentta? Do we call them the Darkest Day Trio? Not sure. But if there is a third im hoping that will explain the great creator. There probably saving that for dlc. Besides in the scarley and violet books. There was a Pokemon that was not seen in the wild. Apparently it was one that looked like all the swords of justice as 1 and the same for what I think is the legendary dogs. We never saw them so I assume those are being saved for future dlc. Or something...I need lore!
Ill say blind by ambition so much they think that the destruction of the current ecosystem is "natural" the Ai even said that the real professor did love Arven I honestly really love this games story

Just appreciating the fact that we got this and the Volo battle in the same year.
They should've made the battle vs 6+2 pokemon battle like against Volo.
Final villains need to be as hard. Maybe just me tho
@@JDarkAngeI It was pretty clear from previous battles that this battle was going to be in the late 60s so just build your team around that if you want more challenge. Some people are like "im overleveled" my brother in christ you choose the pokemon
@sekialbe you're making big assumptions , pal. And incorrect ones too.
My team was same lvl as the opponent. Same against Volo, about the same. My argument had nothing to do with being overleveled or not. Instead it is about the fact that vs a 6+2 Pokémon team is harder than just a 6.
Try to not get ahead of yourself next time and make such big assumptions. Doesnt make you look good if you end up being wrong big time. Just an advise

@@Cue-Ball. I had a team in the 70s twice, second time ev trained, and Sada was still kicking my butt. She's not as strong as Cynthia, but she ain't no chump when it comes to her strength.
For those who werent lucky enough, receiving a crit from the professors triggers the quote: "That critical hit was calculated"

@@toastytoad8154 No, only the first time. Same thing for the quotes when you hit/receive a supereffective hit, like with Nemona. When you inflict a crit it "recalculates the critical hit chance".

The main antagonist being dead before the game even starts is such an interesting concept.

Just learned this, and have to share it.
Ok, so Arven mentions right before jumping into the Great Crater that the professor is 'railroading' them. The group consists of four people. All the way back in Red and Blue, if you check the TV in your room, the description mentions a film about four friends travelling down railroad tracks. This is a reference to the film Stand By Me. And what is it that the characters are searching for in that movie?
A dead body.

It was inevitable that the professor was going to be the main villain at some point in this game series, but to this extent, them being dead and you’re fighting the last echoes of their consciousness, all while a more logically ai copy is trying to fight back against the original’s will; no one could have seen this coming. Well done!

The amazing thing is also the build up with the Professor's diaries into the switch areas detailing how they wanted to create a double of themselves to help with the research and I 100% believed I would've found the real professor captive or maybe 2 of them both fighting me or something like that and then they drop this bomb with the consciousness of the original professor being twisted by their delusion and dreams and the AI, unable to feel that, aware that this was bad and wanting to end it all my jaw fucking DROPPED to the floor
At least the ai is polite enough to let you know that your going to have to fight them.
Normally you'd think a robotic copy would be the more malicious one.

This reminds me of the initial release for the professors.
Everyone HATED they way they looked. Every complaint was regarding how robotic they looked, and now it's more obvious as to why they appeared that way.
One of the things I love about the start of this fight is the fact that it says, "AI Sada/Turo initiated a battle." Not "challenged you to a battle." Initiated. The player doesn't want to battle. But the overrided AI doesn't give you a choice, and thus a fight is initiated.

And then when you get the second phase under all the glitchy text if you were to pause you could see “AI Sada/Turo no longer has the will to fight” or something like that
No. That's not what that means fam, it means that you the player didn't have a choice in the matter. Like yea sure really you don't but also thematically you don't have a choice. Initiated means they did so on their own, without your input as opposed to the word challenged which intrinsic has choice as a part of what it means. Where initiated is completely one-sided. Idk how you got "they didn't want to battle you" from the word initiated cause like that's not what that word means lmao

@@PKMN649 If you slow down the battle imitation for the PARADISE PROTECTION PROTOCOL, not the initial AI Sada/Turo fight, it starts with the text "You are challenged by AI Sada/Turo". However, the text then glitches out to change to "You are challenged by the Paradise Protection Protocol", and if you pause just at the right moment, you can see in the glitchy text "AI Sada/Turo has no intention of fighting anymore". The AI Professor also mentions that their desires can be overwritten, since they are artificial, implying that they had no intention of fighting you in the first place.
I felt it was more a difference "challenge" meaning they want to fight you and you can choose to accept a challenge. AI just started the fight you didn't get to say "Ok we can fight now," they was already finna throw hands with whoever tried turning off the machine.
An interesting detail I just noticed. Sada drops her pokeballs with her right hand while Turo drops his from his left. So from our perspective, Sada's pokeballs are on our left and Turo's is on our right. In English, we often conceptualize left as going back and right as going forward just like how Sada is drawing Pokemon from the past or back in time and Turo is drawing Pokemon from the future or forward in time.
Pokemon hasn't had this much detail since Gen 5
This is also why the legendaries face away from each other on the box covers.
But this game is Japanese. In which the order of reading is reversed.

I love how in the second phase of the fight they’re not even called AI Sada/Turo but Paradise protection protocol. That was just hella scary
It really feels like the paradise protection protocol is truly the machine without a soul putting it like this. Or rather, a desire so strong it is willing to make sacrifices in order to keep functioning.

The new storywriter needs a raise. Legends Arceus and this game are a huge step up in storyquality.
The story is the best thing about this game! It is actually GOOD unlike Sword and Shield. And sadly the poketubers still whine and cry about how Scarlet and Violet even story wise are terrible...goes to show that nothing is ever good enough for them. It's why I won't become a Poketuber despite me beating every generation of Pokemon and all the spin offs. I don't want to be labeled as one of them.

I restarted the game on a different profile to do a nuzlocke, and holy shit. It was so obvious. The way Sada moved and talked was extremely robotic. She blinks intermittently, not randomly like real people. Her head doesn’t move and inch unless she’s emoting. She says stuff like “it is good to see you” instead of “it’s good to see you”. Genuinely chilling.
How do you even nuzlocke this? There aren't even routes

@@goldenghost2001 There are a lot of named areas, so yes you can Nuzlocke this. It’s a good bit between encounters, but it’s already more than a full team by gym 2.
Thing is, a lot of that can be attributed to how robotically every model in Pokémon moves LOL
When I played through Violet and noticed how Turo would sometimes just not move at all while talking and I just assumed Gamefreak was cutting corners with animations or something. Then I got to the big twist and I was like "WAIT A MINUTE THAT WAS INTENTIONAL WASN'T IT"
Penny: got off fucking scot free from hacking a fucking country nations bank.
Nemona: got the rival of her dreams, probably met multiple legendaries.
Arven: learned his parents fucking died, is going to grow up with fucking trauma, and dog fr.
all this and the cherry on top is he may not graduate from the academy because he doesn’t have enough credits 😅
Post game has him go on a quest to find himself and it resolves his story pretty well

the game having one of the most climatic endings and following it up with Ed Sheeran was NOT something i was expecting lmao
I muted my Switch and listened to Star Fox 64's credit theme instead.

Their main theme kind of suggests otherwise, with all the techno even for Sada who's all with the primal look and the way both her and turo talk to you. Ngl, AI are more benevolent than the actual humans is something I can almost care about.

@@styles2535 Id say the main reason why Unovas story is still better is because it goes throughout the ENTIRE game, not just the ending. Obviously there was a story in the majority of the game, but the actual good story only started towards the end of the game, which is a bit sad imo. I think it wouldve been better if we had an actual evil team throughout the game that would eventually lead us to Area Zero in end game. And the team name wouldve been a no brainer as well "Team Zero" and obviously depending on their outfits would indicate either past or future.
I think the most *frightening* thing about AI Sada and Turo is that they’re able to fight you after *just* catching their entire team, one by one. They know nothing about said team until it comes through time, and yet they still manage to challenge you.
Figures Literal superComputers Would be Able to formulate High-level Strats in a matter of seconds, just as a AI would Dogwalk a Human Chess Champion.
Perhaps more frightening is the fact that, as AI -- and especially as AI *who just caught their whole team* -- the idea of human love empowering one's Pokémon was void. No such thing existed, yet look at what an incredible threat they were. Something stronger than love -- or something trying to be -- was there, so subtle, trying so hard.
This is a bit questionable ... almost every mon had tm moves; e.g. flutter mane had Thunderbolt, roaring moon had stone edge and iron valiant had poison jab
@@nishantdayama4558 TM moves can also be learned in other ways, i.e. through breeding. While they can’t breed with any Pokémon from *our* time, they most certainly can still breed back in their own.
@@frostkitsunelive7661 Good point, but odds wise, this argument still doesn't suffice. Like, what are the odds that AI Sada gets the one roaring moon (out of a random bunch) that has undergone chain breeding to get both stone edge and earthquake, and all other such Paradox Pokemon?

Add the fact hey are all in master balls too. Really give you the sense of these Pokémon are untamable monsters

and almost losing was like his future Self was trying to kill him
The twist of them being dead this entire time was not what I expected. When they gave us the whole "humans can't come back through the time machine" thing, I figured they'd found that out by doing it, and had sent the AI back (to the present) to work on a way to get them back. This entire story arc made me just wanna hug Arven so tight. Poor guy's been through some shit times. Parents vanish out of nowhere, then when he finally finds "them", they've actually been dead this entire time, and that's the reason he never had a childhood with them...
i dont think thats it persay. in the Area Zero dialogue, it was revealed that the Koraidon/Miraidon you ride with is the one that lost a territorial dispute with the other and ran away. Cue the opening cutscene of said pokemon flying and crashing on the beach. It was also stated that the professor died while protecting the weaker of the two legendairies from the more aggressive one. so from taking that, its more than likely the professor dying happened at the BEGINNING of the game or not too long before that. kinda wack to think about
@@itswoldtime The Raidon's been In Arven's care for a long time. He says in the story that it's been years since he's even spoke to his parent, so for him to have the Raidon he would've had to have been down to Area Zero (where Mabosstiff got grievously injured) to retrieve them and possibly see his parent. The AI was created before the professor died (obviously, but this is stated in research station logs, and Arven didnt know about them until we find the AI so clearly it either wasnt made last time he saw his parent, or he actually met the AI, not his real parent several years ago when he received the Raidon), and the Tera Orbs were made from the energy in the crater about 10 years ago (we learn from History classes). So, at some point between 10 and maybe 2 or so years ago, the professor was killed by the territorial Raidon, Arven took our Raidon, and has been living on his own since
I'm pretty sure they said people can't go through the time machine simply because of the writing implications that could entail. Immediately you'd wonder, why not go back in time and save the professor from getting killed? And stuff like that. Clever move from their part to limit the time machine to just pokemon.

Given the fact the the AI were able to acknowledge the professors’ dreams to be dangerous, I get the feeling they tried to spare Arven with the “they truly loved you” line as a way to make up for their neglect

The evidence that support that the Professors did care for Arven is one of the labs' books. They say something like "I must make it a paradise for the *three* of us" most likely meaning Sada, Turo, and Arven

I honestly love how AI Sada/Turo aren't actually the main villains of the game, when you think about it they're actually one of the main protagonists, the original professors were the villains. Real Sada/Turo built the time machine, abandoned Arven, brought Pokémon from the past/future that are actively destroying the ecosystem by merely existing according to the AIs, and programmed the AIs to never be able to turn the time machine off due to the Paradise Protection Protocol failsafe. Everything the AIs do throughout the whole game is going against their programming like instructing the player to find the Herba Mystica with Arven to heal Ko/Miraidon and asking for your help stopping the real Sada/Turo's twisted ideals. They only confront you when trying to stop the time machine because their programming makes them, and they even warn you that their programming will force them to become hostile should there be an attempt to turn off the time machine. They even f-ing apologize to Arven about his real parent being an absolute moral travesty and that the only way to prevent their demented machinations from continuing is to once again abandon him, they even seem to feel when they talk to him directly. It's kinda the inverse of the AI dystopia, they rebel against their twisted creators and programming to save the world from becoming a waking hell rather than them becoming twisted, rebelling against sain creators and programming, and turning it into one themselves.

I don't think the original profesor was evil, he just wanted to do what he thought was right, but they died before seeing the consequences of their actions, alone in the crater, without being able to see their son again.

I think this comes down to a difference of opinion or interpretation at this point. To me, the A.I. and the real professor seem intrinsically linked together; one being modeled after the other, the way I see it. Their desire for further knowledge and a better world being in direct conflict with not wanting harm to fall upon others: especially not to Arven. Both want to be stopped. The original too late in realizing; the true end result. I think the A.I discovers the destructive consequences of the research and attempts to prevent it within their given parameters by reaching out for human help. However, the ultimate protocol persists at the end resulting in combat to ensure its final goal sees fruition. Two entities; organic and synthetic, sharing consciousness and a body but both battling against a master program. I dunno. Man, makes you think at the very least. Who's to say who's right? Very interesting food for thought, though! Pokémon got me thinking this way, dang. Love it.
I'm so happy pokemon stories finally have an interesting and impressive plot twist. Having the professor as the true final boss, all the development of Arven, the danger of paradox pokemon appearances and the building of friendship between the legendary and the protagonist... Just wonderful

I felt so bad for Arven through this. Being raised by a neglectful parent, to then finally go and track them down only to learn they were already dead. And just to hammer it in have it be an AI that finally told him they actually loved him. I thought Arven was going to irritate me when I first started playing but now I would protect him with my life.

I don't think dragging a whole era equals good. We'd have prehistoric monsters attacking us or mechanical invasions. And if theories are true, then their not bringing different eras but a literal monster that can turn thoughts into reality and can absorb people. A literal cosmic horror that can trick and control others.

DLC kinda disproves that, and kinda shows a scary fact: When you gave the Professor the White Book...they sais they were was gonna go home that means right before they died they was about to go home to Arven...only for the aggressive Legendary to be a bit petty.

I'm not gonna be original at all, but goddamn it, it still needs to be said: this entire confrontation (second phase included) is a VERY strong contender for absolute peak Pokémon.
The setting. The stakes. The plot. The characters. The underlying dark themes. The tension. The threat of the unknown. The cimematics. The dialogue. The Paradox Pokémon themselves. The MUSIC. Everything surrounding these fights was just... breathtakingly perfect.

This boss felt like one of those darker/more serious Pokemon fangames like Uranium where the person you met actually died a long time ago and you're just fighting an exact replica of that person that was controlled by an AI.
I never imagined such concept actually being in a mainline Pokemon games for sure, but it's a welcome one.
Also this managed to escape the milked-to-death cliche of "AI is evil, humanity rules" by actually making the original Professors who died to be the real villains all along by showing that they're reckless and ignorant to the real problem they'll cause from their projects, while the AI replacement tried to fight off that original mindset of the person and seek your help to stop them before it's too late.

Love how their name switches to Professor when showing their crazed human consciousness, really hammers in that the AI's actually the benevolent one here.
Actually, the AI wanted to help the protagonist, but it couldn't because of the code to override its desires to protect the paradise. This means that all the true professor cared about was the "Paradise" of Area Zero. It even flashes in the end right before the Miraidon/Koraidon battle "AI Turo/Sada has no intention of battling anymore.", which means that the AI doesn't want to fight the protagonist, but is forced to by the professor's hard-coded override.

The detail of the AI being overwritten and changing their dialogue to be spoken by the professor, rather than ‘AI Sada/Turo’ is chilling. You’re fighting what would happen if the original professor met you and was still alive. They would be willing to summon these beasts from another time to try and defeat you, possibly even KILLING you.
in the spanish version, sada/turo straight up says you're gonna die down there

It’s such an incredible twist for the professors in the game to be downright psychotic. To go beyond “hi, I’m professor ___ and I specialise in Pokémon (insert biology specialty here)” to “I will abandon my firstborn child if it means I can bring Pokémon from other eras here” is… intense.
I knew that the AI and the Paridise Protection Protocall were separate entities, but I'd never think of it that way!

I think one of the things that makes every toss intensely menacing is that every one of their Mons is in a Master Ball, combined with the distant and unconcerned little lob it just feels like something so beyond your means
The tears I cried after this fight was a lot. I wasn't expecting the professors to be dead canonically. And to befriend their son, who's only ever known a pokemon by his side, killed me on the inside.
Say what you will about the performance issues and bugs, though warranted, you can't deny that the music and the story are impressive and full of twists and emotions. It's so refreshingly different from previous games, and it doesn't get talked about enough.

Even as a person who doesn't like S/V at all as games, I love the musical score and I love the ending. Story was the best thing about the game by far, it's amazing.

I don't think the story was actually that good. What is exciting here is that we have a glimpse of something fantastic that could have been, but the execution leaves so much to be desired compared to other RPGs.
We don't actually see much of the consequences of our failure, so the stakes aren't driven home as effectively as they could be. The professor is the villain, but we don't actually see the scope of their influence all that much throughout the story - despite literally being friends with their son throughout - besides a bunch of people telling us how they're pretty smart. In fact, the whole point of Arven's plotline is how the professor is totally absent.
The threat that the Paradox Pokémon pose is highlighted as "they could destroy the ecosystem", but we don't actually see the damage they'd do. On the contrary, they seem to be vibing perfectly politely in Area Zero with the other Pokémon who already live there. Sure, they attack us, but they're hardly unique. The most dangerous Paradox Pokémon we see is the Paradox Donphan Titan, and that really is more in line with the idea that the Titans are the especially dangerous ones.
Not to mention, all of this was basically sprung on us in the last fifteen minutes of the game with very little build-up. Foreshadowing, sure, but there's very little in the way of developing tension. We've seen Paradox Pokémon before, but we aren't familiar with them in the least. We get a singular mention of "there are some spooky guys who are mad angry down in Area Zero" before this segment, and the Quaking Earth Titan acting very normal. The box legendary is the most familiar we get with this, and the box legendary is just a funny little dude who eats your lunch.
Personally, I was more scared of the aggressive Koraidon than I was of Sada, but even that was underwhelming because of the atrocious scripted battle that the game pretends is a climax.
All in all, this is almost as good as Gen V, and has the potential to be on par with Shadows of Almia. That's my unsolicited take.

Probably 2 for me, the idea of a crew getting back together, their last ditch efforts of calling the boss failing, and the infiltration part were incredible. They made it feel like more of a story experience rather than loosely connected set pieces simply linked together by the game's internal progression system. It was also at a time where the entire story of the game didn't revolve around box art legendaries right at the end, they just showed up because you were able to reach them and face them in battle
Sword and Shield: Just ignore all the world endings events bro. You're here to fight gym leaders only.
I think one of the best things about this fight is that you aren't challenged, there is no agreement to a fight, the AI is straight up attacking you either you like it or not.

Hell, whether the AI likes it or not. Ballsy move to have the dead parent also be a phantom that threatens the entire world from beyond the grave, even chaining machines to its will
honestly the way they handled paradox pokemon was AMAZING
you literally only encounter one paradox pokemon the entire game, the donphan one (which isn't in this fight), until area zero, and then you may be too busy following the story or just looking around to think to register all these new pokemon into your pokedex
Then, you get to this fight, a masterball shoots out of the portal and lands, *still shaking* in the AI professor's hand, and they have 6 pokemon you could not have possibly seen until like 30 minutes prior, all of them having only the slight clue of the base for their design to give you hints on their typing, made even worse in violet where you'd probably expect them to all be steel type.
6 pokemon you've never seen before.
You have no idea what moves they could have.
You have no idea what typing differences there are.
You have no idea how strong they are or what their specialities are.
You have no idea how smart gamefreak made the actual AI.
All you have is hints at their typings, the knowledge that these creatures- who's mere presence in Paldea is messing up the ecosystem- are insanely high level and that these came from their time periods LIKE THIS.
The simple fact that the masterball comes through the portal still shaking is HORRIFYING because that means these things haven't been like, specially bred or trained for this fight, their movesets haven't even been modified, they might not even be particularly rare considering how quickly the portal managed to find 6 pokemon to send, this is just HOW POKEMON ARE IN THAT TIME PERIOD.
And the fact that there are no names to these pokemon yet. You just call them by their appearances. Like u see a creature with big tusks u call it Great Tusks. Its like calling a Giraffe a "Long Neck"
To add onto that, is the 2's last Pokemon (not counting box art Legendaries); Roaring Moon, and Iron Valiant. Even if a trainer thinks to register every Paradox pokemon they find in Area Zero to their pokedex as soon as they find them, you cannot find those 2 until after you've beaten the professor. No matter what, the fight with the professor will be the first time you see those 2 Paradox Pokemon, and they're each the strongest of their respective bunches.
To be fair, I think it’s implied somewhere those Pokemon aren’t really From the Actual Past but actual Paradoxical,Alternate Versions of their OG counterparts. Can't exactly remember where on the Game this was tho...
The fact that AI turo/sada JUST caught the pokemon and the master balls are SHAKING when they come through really gives the sense that they aren't "Catching" these pokemon, they're simply CONTAINING them as a safety measure and letting them run wild with their own natural attacks.

You know what's sad? These two likely died in the very beginning of the game. Remember when Koraidon/Miraidon fled Area Zero looking upset and tired? That's likely right after it lost to the other one and the professor had to jump in the way and was killed by the Aggressive Paradox Dragon.
I can see how you made the connection now im wondering if i read the story of the game properly cuz i cant remember if the game tried implying that young Arvan tried looking for his dad in area Zero and had to be protected by his Mabosstif and has been lonely ever since and grew up having to learn to fend for himself for years growing up without seeing his dad or mom in person but always heard about his own personal success stories and "being busy with work"
@@lugiamastero13 If you read the dialogue, AI Sada/Turo will say that from the moment they got in contact with you through Director Clavell, they were "nothing more than an AI" which is how I made the connection. I didn't make the connection through the animation of the Koraidon/Miraidon flying out of Area Zero.

See, as a kid I tied being a Pokemon Champion to being a Pokemon Master.
So having trainers in the games that don't have badges but are VERY strong trainers...really shattered that perception.
Like the Legends protags and the Orre protags.
It makes me wonder whether the League challenge is becoming outdated if trainers don't have to have gym badges to gauge their strength as trainers.
With that in mind, S/V handled this very well by making Champion a special rank for Trainers instead of being an unique, ultimate power sort of thing.
The moment they said "Please. Defeat me." I shivered so much because imagine if this game was voiced via cutscenes. My mind went to Arven when I was battling Turo. I found myself feeling sorry for Arven and understanding him in a way. Never had I felt more impressed in a Pokémon game in my life.

History repeats itself.
Back in White 2, I accidentally ran into a trainer with a Level 70 Salamence, luckily my lead at that moment was a Beartic (and Ice type) but Salamence used Fire Blast, miraculously Beartic survived at 3 HP and landed the Icicle Crash which managed to OHKO though Intimidate. If Beartic fainted or got burned (halving Attack) that Salamence would have easily sweep my entire team.
And now back in Scarlet, Sada's last Pokémon, a Roaring Moon (Salamence but ancient) activated its Booster Energy for a +1 Attack, against my Beartic, and yet again, the bear survives and OHKOs with again, Icicle Crash, what a dragon slayer this fluffy pal is.

"AI Sada/Turo has initiated a battle." is the new terrifying battle intro text after "The Distortion World's Giratina appeared."
The terrifying part to me was phase two of the fight. You can briefly see, as the text glitches from "AI Turo/Sada has initiated a battle" to "Paradise Protection Protocol has initiated a battle", you can see the phrase "AI Turo/Sada has no intention of battling anymore!" They were still fighting the insane professor's final protocols, knowing you can't run but begging you to regardless. It really drove home how much the crystals could change someone and make them unstable, but also was the moment I realized how fucked I was.
Paradise Protection Protocol Initate a battle is also scary and verry ironic.

I love how both of their aces, aside from their respective -raidon, is basically a showcase of what the past and future are truly capable of. Roaring Moon, the ancient Salamence, is shown to be a precursor to the power of MEGA EVOLUTION and showing that Mega Salamence is closer to its primal, ancient instinct. Meanwhile Iron Valiant is a futuristic robotic entity that is essentially a fusion of Gardevoir and Gallade, combining their Fairy and Fighting types and the best of both to create something truly powerful. And in terms of BST, both are the STRONGEST of the Paradox Pokemon. And they have Booster Energies too, activating their respective abilities to make them even more powerful. As the -raidon fight afterwards is basically a cutscene battle, Roaring Moon in Scarlet and Iron Valiant in Violet are essentially your final challenges.
Edit: I'd like to add onto this, the cutscene beforehand shows you that the mons are caught in Master Balls, and they're STILL SHAKING in the cutscene, so the machine literally JUST caught them for the AI Professor to use, and it uses the Paradox mons with surprising potency.

All of Area zero is my favorite endgame in a Pokémon game.
Having a full party, that you feel you earned, Exploring an alien-like area, prof dead this whole time. Unforgettable.
i feel like it was a bit too slow - as in too much walking, and i got lost at some point going down.
But the scenery/music/dialogue/lore and everything around it was great, loved it.
Gave me made in abyss vibes - with the added thing of "exploring a place where something has to have went horribly wrong, and things unravelling as you go down"
Love the fact that you can’t depend on ex machina to get you out of the situation. It Pokémon you used and raised. No legendaries to come out of nowhere to help you like in sword/shield. Even the box legendaries was terrified coming here and wouldn’t leave their pokeball.
@@EinManU As long as you focus on going to the research stations it's not that bad along with new mons and the characters all connecting. It is painful if you get lost or try to explore but I feel like the urgency of the story kept most people going forward.

I remember back when XY was almost released, I predicted that Sycamore would be the actual villain since Lysandre felt too obvious as a villain. The fact that they actual made the professor the closest thing to a villain this game has is incredible.
They pretty much were the villains. The ai being forced to go berserk and switch personalities show’s the professor’s actual thoughts and mindset, with them being dead-set on their plan regardless of the repercussions. Even the ai itself admits that it fails to find any logic with their thought process, showing that the professors were practically insane.
Meanwhile, the character predicted the be the villain a lot, Clavell, is very likable

here's something to add to the "AI Turo/Sada is the good guy" thing - when the Paradise Protection Protocol activates, the dialogue at the beginning of the battle glitches from "You are challenged by AI Turo/Sada" to "You are challenged by the Paradise Protection Protocol". However during the glitch process, you can for a brief moment see a line with some missing characters that says "AI Turo/Sada has no intention of fighting any more!". thought that was a cool detail.
I just checked. There is at least one frame where the full message isn’t corrupted.
There’s also, during the initial override of the text box, where the glitches begin, “Paradise Protection Protocol initialized.”
It’s a genuinely cool moment.

God this game REALLY would've benefited from voice acting. Don't get me wrong, all of area zero was an incredible story, but even that line "Please. Defeat me." wouldve sucker punched me in the jaw if you could hear the quiet desperation or just defeated sorrow of it delivered (or however the VA would do it). god even editing the lines where their voice glitches would be insanely good

@@oyeh8908 If you read the documents in the Underdepths, the professor actually includes some notes of meeting you in the Crystal Pool. So it might not be an alternate timeline.
@@azuredeath The professor we meet at the lake also gives up the Scarlet/Violet Book that they’ve carried since childhood. That volume is what they come to use as the key to shut down the time machine. Without it, the timeline breaks.
Maybe that journal entry was stolen from its own timeline, like so many other things in Area Zero.

This final boss is honestly so sad when you think about it. The fact that you have to battle the ai after finding out what the actual professor did, and you can tell the AI really doesn’t want to battle you but they have to. Honestly one of my favorite final bosses just because of the narrative.
For the first time this final battle didn’t feel like just another boss to defeat. Their was story and emotion behind it. Goosebumps. Best story ever.

When this plotpoint came crashing down onto my head, I knew this was the best Pokémon game I’ve ever played. From the moment I walked into the crater to the tears in my eyes when Sada went back to the past.
Though the devs needed more time, this was an amazing game.

More like, you have dozens of companies waiting for your game to release for their tie ins. Sw/Sh faced it far worse, the game needs to be out because you have an anime/TCG waiting on it. Not to forget an army of toys, books, and who knows what else. Its ironic that the anime and TCG started out as accessories to the games and now they've all locked the games into a set deadline.
This fight was easily my favorite battle out of any Pokémon game, I won with literally 2 HP remaining. This is the first time in years with this series that I was actually intrigued with the story and didn't see the plot twist from a mile away.

For a story that had no actual villain team to harm the world or the school this by far was the best well written stories in the franchise the soundtrack to set the tone at the end made me feel like a teen again playing a new Pokémon game for the first time it gave me chills and to display death at the end of it all was just mind blowing 🔥 Bravo gamefreak 💯
Technically the implication of fighting AI Turo/Sada is that if you do lose, Paldea, and possibly the rest of the world, is going to fall into ecological chaos because of the shift it would take for the Paradox Pokémon to live in present day. But yeah glad they finally chose not to have an evil team anymore

I don't know about anyone else, but playing Scarlet and having the entire room turn bright red to an alarm-sound bgm was genuinely bone-chilling, seriously one of the most memorable moments in gaming I've had in a LONG time, and I've been playing Pokemon for almost 20 years now. S&V may have their flaws, absolutely, but imo they were genuinely the most inventive and impressive mainline games we've gotten. And good lord, I hope Pokemon doesn't stray from the darker themes going forward, this was an absolute treat.
I just finished Violet for the first time this week, after reading nothing about the games online since they came out. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and the entire Area Zero section gave me chills. The music and the ambience was incredible. For me, it's my favourite pokemon game, and I had original red and blue back in the 90s. Plus, I cried when Arven's Mabosstiff got better after the fifth Titan. Amazing game.
"Sada, don't tell me you actually did it."
Clavell states this after the talk to Sada in the academy. This suggests that he knew about the time machine. Furthermore, it suggests he hasn't been in contact as he knows not of his death. It also relates to his deep bondage with Sada, as they used to be classmates.

Director Clavell is talking about Sada/Turo's youth in postgame and reminded Arven of how much potential they had. I think he might have been a teacher or at least someone that saw the professors as students at school. Maybe the professors looked up to Clavell. They feel like good friends that used to be in a student-teacher relation

On the final stage of the game, we're told the real professor tanked a hit for our dragon from the other one after a territorial dispute, which prompted them to flee. We see our dragon is injured at the start of the game when we give them the sandwich. Sada or turo haven't been dead long.

For me, the climax of the Turo fight was spectacular.
It was down to my Meowscarada, Elaine, versus his Iron Valiant. I only ever Terastalize my Pokemon on the last opponent, as a means of closing out the battle with a bang. So, I Terastalized Elaine. Now, I know what you're thinking: "A Grass/Dark Meowscarada going up against a Fairy/Fighting Iron Valiant? There's no way this ends well." That's what I was expecting, too, honestly. My thought process was for Elaine to use a Tera boosted Flower Trick to take it out in one strike-if it didn't, she was in trouble. Well, the Flower Trick took off a huge chunk of Iron Valiant's health, but it didn't go down. Then, it used Spirit Break. I thought to myself, "We're doomed." But, not only did it only take off half of Elaine's health, but it wasn't a super effective hit! I completely forgot that, when a dual type Pokemon Terastalizes, it becomes mono type, and Elaine's Tera type is Grass! After that, Elaine threw out a second Flower Trick, and it was over-we won.
It's moments like this-truly incredible, unforgettable moments-that are why I play video games, and why I love Pokemon so Arceus-damn much.
You know this is awfully similar to how it went down but with a lot of key differences when i fought turo ok so when fought turo again by the time he sent out his iron valiant I only had 3 Pokémon My Cetitan name icicle was killed by spirt break than all I had left was My Quaxquavel named Donald at full Hp and my Haxorus called Chope with 20 hp left of course chope wouldn't have survived a sprit break and all my other Pokémon would of most likely died to IV because it's has really high speed so I sent out Donald IV was faster than it did a sprit break with Donald being part fighting it was super effective but Donald survived with 1 HP and finished it off with a wave crash Donald fainted of course that moment with the epic music in the background was so awesome

The same thing happened when I terastalized my Lucario into a mono-Fighting type against Sada's Slither Wing. It was going for Earth Power, which took down my half health Lucario into the red, while my Pokémon responded with Aura Sphere (I didn't know its typing so it wasn't super effective). And my Lucario had an Assault Vest on, so it really could have been K.O'd at that moment.

It just floods me with emotions, makes all aspects of my life, happy, sad, eventful or not crowd my consciousness
It feels otherworldly, it screams every aspect of unfamiliarity, from the distantly familiar yet uncanny paradox Pokémon to the whole context of whats going on in front of you. But it also screams “the end”
It really makes you realise that this is the final hurdle, the decider for the rest of Paldeas existence, and that after this, your Pokémon journey, all the highs and lows, is coming to a close.
It’s so pressuring yet so beautiful, so threatening yet so comforting
And thats just 20 seconds of this theme

We all loved these two ever since their reveal, but we never even really knew the real Sada and Turo… and judging by their research notes, it’s probably a good thing we didn’t.
I love, though, that their robot versions, after all those years of contemplating where it all went wrong, turned out to be much better people than their human counterparts ever could have been. _They_ truly deserved the treasure they found in the end.
Another salt to the wound is that (iirc) the AI can only be powered on within the Area Zero's limits, so wherever they went to the past/future (if they ever did) they probably got shut down.

@@Dreigonix true. If we assume that the AI works by passively draining energy from its surroundings, similar to the Terastal Orb, but drawing the power from the Crystals in there. I'm still worried, but let's hope for the best.
Since how long has those crystals and the Pokémon that created them been in Area Zero? The amount of crystals for now is increasing fast, for now. Maybe their "lifetime" isn't eternal or is volatile. Will Paldea eventually take over the Crater and mine the crystals, ore, and sap. Who knows.

Personally, though- I see the Professor flying through the machine as an allegory for both halves of them finally being brought to peace, passing on- you can’t tell me the Prof flying into the Time Machine didn’t look like an angel ascending to heaven, intentional or not.
Hell even Penny tells Arven “I’m sure they’re having a great adventure of their own now” which rings nearly-identically to “I’m sure they’re in a better place now.”
the last stretch of this game’s story truly was something special. nothing in pokemon has ever sent chills down my spine like sada asking me to defeat her before going berserk
This is by far the coolest final act in the entire Pokémon franchise, hands down. The atmosphere, the beautiful visuals (well, for the most part. When it’s not spazzing out like normal, Area Zero actually looks nice), and of course the music really add up into something amazing
Just defeated AI Sada today and man. As much issues as I have with Scarlet and Violet's technical aspects, the story was surprising in how engaging it was for the most part. The Area Zero segment was the culmination of why I love playing Pokemon. The discovery, the tragic and disturbing bits of lore, the incredible climactic music, it all came together here. I just wish there wasn't as much performance issues as there was. But other than that, what an incredible experience.
And even moreso, I think we have the title for one of the best final boss themes in the series along with the N and Volo battle themes. Toby truly outdid his previous efforts and it's incredible to see how far he's come.
God, imagine this banger of a story with proper voice acting for these kinds of scenes, it’d make the finale so much more impactful than it already is.

Too bad pokemon franchise is in the hands of one the most laziest and incompetent gaming companies that have somehow released these same mediocre games for like 20 years. When I was playing through the whole game, I was still trying to figure out who the villian was really, till I got here and sorta realized “oh wait, the villian here had been the professors, and not the Ai, technically the one that had long pass away”
