This is to dam funny 😂ua-cam.com/video/EJCyp7tO4GU/v-deo.html
I must have heard something else, but did you call this song Morgan Philly?
Just subscribed pimpin! Great job/channel.
I would have to get kicked in the balls too hit those high notes.
You guys crack me up. One of my two or three favorite reaction video peeps all day long. And Half, they indeed are from Boston. Give It up guys.
The game is metroid
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY could hit that high note like Brad Delp. I was 19 when this album came out. It is as awesome today as it was 44 years ago.
Nobody could hit that note, not even him in a live show!
I was 21, Tim, saw them in concert in Hartford, CT in 1976 along with Rick Derringer.
No doubt, HE JUST KILLS IT!! I was 5 but discovered it as a teen and OMG! ❤
There's a video on UA-cam What Makes This Song So Great ( More Than A Feeling ) you should check out. It breaks down how the song was recorded and that's all I'm saying. In all the interviews I've watched Tom always stated that he was an engineer first but if you watch the the live concert on UA-cam ( 70's) his face tells a different story. Happy New Year!
Brad Delp and Geoff Tate "Take hold of the flame" Never got to see Brad but I've seen Geoff many times and he was the real deal live and always reminded me of Brad Delp.
Brad Delp was criminally underrated as a singer. I grew up in the 70’s and this song was on my radio at the beach all summer long. RIP Brad -
This song is ear candy.....and when Brad Delp hits those powerful high notes which bleed into the blazing guitar riffs, you're hooked!
Yesss! Love this song! It's a real feel good song.
RIP BRAD DELP! man...that man could sing. 💯💯💯💯
Although Tommy DeCarlo is also Really good. Probably not quite as good as Brad, though.
Not bad from a graduated genius from MIT that recorded every instrument in his basement on equipment he made and put together. The only thing he didn't do was sing and play drum. Actually when the record label signed them and album exploded they had to rush to find band members to go on tour. My best friend in 6th grade Tori Boston introduced me to this awesomeness at her sleepover birthday party. Y'all need to do (if not already) Foreplay/Longtime off this album. Sorry so long 🤷💗
Album was written before the band was formed.
Great synopsis. Thx.
Not meany people know that
Nope. This was true for the demo tapes; for the album Sib Hashian played drums on all songs except "Rock & Roll Band" (played by Jim Masdea), Barry Goudreau played rhythm guitar on all songs and lead guitar on "Long Time" and "Let Me Take You Home Tonight", Fran Sheehan played bass on "Foreplay" and "Let Me Take You Home Tonight", and Brad Delp played acoustic guitar on "Let Me Take You Home Tonight". This is all from the liner notes on the 2006 remaster which Scholz oversaw.
No
Brad Delp had such a beautiful powerful voice and sounded just as great live.
More Than a Feeling is one of their best.
Yes, it’s just ... more than a feeling. Know what I mean? 😳
I moved to Boston a few months ago from Texas in my car with my son and played "Don't Look Back" as we drove in on the 4th day. Been a long time Boston fan
Saw them in concert..ended up in front of the speakers..couldn’t hear right for a week.. it was awesome 😎
God I miss LIVE music 😫
Me too.....1977 in Toronto but stayed clear of the speakers....lol
@Gary no but I’ve seen AC/DC ZZtopp yes the cars and some others lol
@Gary I lived close to Notre Dame and they had concerts there
@Gary I’m older than you😂😂
Check out "Smokin'", "Rock & Roll Band", "Foreplay&Longtime" by Boston.
Yes, Yes and YES to all 3 of these songs!
Smokin' is exactly 4 mins and 20 secs long on the album cut. Coincidence?!
@@jonque007 The whole album is what they need to react to. Also there’s a concert on UA-cam that’s a must watch. They are having the time of their lives ( or at least it seems that way) .
That's what I am talking about
I love that you both are open to listening to all kinds of music. We all need more open minds.
Absolutely! Much appreciation to Half and Jai
I agree some people do reaction videos and they can’t even keep a beat Half and Jai really get into the song. Very cool
The most successful debut album in history. Every song on this album is classic!
It was the most biggest selling debut album of all time till appetite for destruction look it up which is a way better album even though I love Boston but it's got more balls
React to Boston - Foreplay / Long Time
This is the one. It will blow them away.
AWESOME TUNE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@detomaso_6235 Yes!!! Probably the best song ever in my opinion💗🤘🏼🎸😎
Yes yes yes.......love Longtime/Foreplay!
One of my favorite songs ever!!! Epic as hell!!
"Dont Look Back" is also a classic
I don't know if you all have been reading all of the other comments, but a few of them have told the story of the recording of this song and the whole album.I cannot understate how amazing I think that is.Every time I hear any of the songs from this album it amazes me even more. The whole album is fantastic. It is one of (if not the) best selling debut albums of all time. And,again,it began with an MIT graduate building all of the recording system and amps and all of the things that are required to record an album in his basement!!! Then he writes all of the songs and plays all of the instruments, except drums, himself. And I don't know where he found the singer (Brad Delp, rip), but he has one of the best voices in the business. The time it must have taken to record each instrument separately and put them all together ( for every song on the album) and produce it all into the amazing songs on that album. It boggles the mind.
Tom Scholz's story reminds me of the character Bruno in the 1980 version of "Fame" when his father blocked traffic in front of the school to play his son's composition "Fame." Multi-talented who did the composing and tracks by himself. So did Prince early on, come to think of it ua-cam.com/video/dF4P4Gcwcps/v-deo.html
The bass player, Fran Sheehan, was the only original member that had formal training in music.
Not to mention the fact that Tom did it in a homemade studio in his basement and designed the sound effects pedals for the guitars.
I have that album cover tattooed on me. Actually, me, my sister, and brother all have it tattooed. Boston was my father's favorite band. He died by suicide in 2007. This took me back to my childhood. Thank you. Great reaction to an amazing song.
Thank you for sharing your story. Love & hugs to you ❤️
@@scarletjohnston741 awwww thank you so much, love. ❤🥰
What a great tribute to him! Thanks for sharing that wonderful story. He'd be sooo proud of you three. Much love during these holidays!
@@Meyzen76 Thank you so much for saying that! It means a lot. Happy holidays to you too.
God bless you and your fam
Lord, I love Jai’s laugh - she really expressed joy when she laughs. 👏👏👏❤️🤩
The album is timeless
i got this album when i was 12 in 1976. Peace Of Mind and Foreplay/Long Time are a must! :)
Time machine please. I was 13 in 1976.....just listened to the replay of Casey Kasem’s 100 top songs of 1975 earlier today....miss those days....
@@laurakali6522 I never missed s a Casey Kasem countdown! Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars ✨
@@TheMike_I used to listen on a little transistor radio before I got my driver’s license....
I was 14 and Boston was, is an epic band, sadly Brad Delp is gone...
That whole album is a banger!! Try Piece of mind next.
Their second was just a good to!
Maybe Space Invaders got the idea from the Boston album. The album came out in 1976 and space invaders 1978. If you look on the bottom of the spaceship you will notice it is a flying Guitar. Ohh and they are from Boston and surrounding area. I am from Boston and they were huge back then. Also Aerosmith and The Cars and J Geils. Just subscribed.
J.Geils Band - totally unappreciated band that rocked with a blues sound. 'Where Did Our Love Go', 'Centerfold', 'Freeze Frame'. Fun stuff.
Also, if you notice the top of the flying guitar spaceships, there's a city skyline (presumably Boston, though as a long-time Boston resident. Myself, the skyline doesn't actually look like Boston... artistic license)
@@bostonvair I was 8 when the album came out and my older sister bought it. I always thought it was all the cities escaping earth before it blew. Now that I think about it that is what the concept must be lol. She would say do you see the guitar and I could never see it. I thought it was the blue fire shaped like a funky electric guitar until she pointed it out.
@@alienresearchlab No doubt. I finally got to see them at harbor lights in boston before J. Geils death in 2017. I was so drunk I remember nothing. What a moron move. I never get that drunk but the booze snuck up on me hard.
@@MuckoMan It happens. I went to see Van Halen (Van Hagar) and we were all doing tequila shots beforehand. We were in the 6th row. All I remember is they opened with 'Poundcake', Eddie Van Halen (RIP) was right in front of us...and the rest is a total blur. Supposedly I was cozying up to a girl on my left during the show who was not my gf who was on my right side. Awkward car ride home and hangover of death the next day.
Life would not be the same without these ST8 Awesome Bands from the 70s..
PEACE!!
Hands-down one of the greatest sounding albums of all time - stellar production with a song list to match - every song is (or should've been) a hit!!
You know I just realized this song is a good theme song for reation videos. The song is talking about how a good song can make you whole day better. "It's more than a feeling. When I hear that old song play"
This whole album is EPIC!! Always transports me back to high school when I listen to it! Loved your reaction
Jai, you used the right weapon to deliver the extra positivity. As Bill Burr would say, "It's got a good spread".
Foreplay/longtime and Peace Of Mind!!! This whole albums amazing!
Skid Row “Youth gone Wild” an anthem when I was a teen!! Awesome rock group from the 80’s!
I watch a lot of different reaction channels and I don't think that there's another song that immediately makes the hosts smile and be into the song as "More Than a Feeling" does.
Tom Sholtz the guitarist in this song is a MIT graduate, he recorded this whole album in his basement in 1974, he revolutionized guitar effects and digital recording, he is a freaking genius
We 12-year-old kids in Boston -- we lived in the Roslindale section of Boston -- all *had* to buy the album. My current record-player is about 15 feet from where I'm sitting.
Boston's a great band and have a lot of great songs i think i was rocking out to this as hard as y'all🔥🎶
The whole album is the band's original demo with a few overdubs. The label thought it was so good they didn't want to change it. All instruments except drums by Tom Scholz. Vocals by Brad Delp. Allegedly recorded in Scholz's basement whilst he was working at MIT
Tom was working at Polaroid as a Senior Engineer, he was a Graduate of M.I.T.
This is not accurate. See my reply above
@@fudhater8592 Ok, Tom was a Senior Design Engineer working at Polaroid in Cambridge, MA with a Engineering Degree from M.I.T. You had me go back and check my work! This is all correct. I don't know what part of that you think is not accurate. It was while working at Polaroid that Tom lived in an apartment house which is where he built his recording studio in the basement.
@@boosuedon The parts that are not accurate:
- Released album was the demo with some overdubs
The demo and album were completely different recordings
- All instruments except drums by Tom Scholz
Barry Goudreau played rhythm guitar on all tracks and lead guitar on Foreplay/Long Time & Let Me Take You Home Tonight. Fran Sheehan played bass on Foreplay & Let Me Take You Home Tonight. Brad Delp played acoustic guitar on Let Me Take You Home Tonight.
I'm so glad people are still listening. God bless.
Songs hit different when you listen to the lyrics. Never really listened to this song but heard it before also
Boston is 🔥🔥🔥especially their debut album from start to finish. Highly recommend headphones/earbuds & CRANK IT UP 🤘The vocals, the instruments...will give you more than a feeling 😊Hope y'all had a blessed & Merry Christmas 💚☃️🌟🎄❤️
I absolutely love your reactions!! I have asbestos poisoning in my lungs so I don't have a lot of enjoyment in life anymore, so it's nice to know that every time I go on youtube that I can watch your reactions and know that I will get to smile, even if it's only for a few minutes....thank you Half and Jai for enriching my life!! Btw, Jai, I think you are very beautiful person, inside and out!!
One of my favorite bands. You can't go wrong with Boston. Id like to send a song to that beautiful lady ... Something about you - Boston.
Yes!!!!! Jai would love it 💕
This was one of the more popular cruisin albums of the day. Very iconic for the late 70's.
ACTUALLY This was from the MID 70s ,1976
I was a trucker when this was out. I used to head east on I-80 through the Mts across PA at 3am. This and AC/DC, cruising to rock, stayin wide awake.😎
Bad Company - Feel Like Making Love. Trust. 🤘💜
Yes! Paul Rogers!
Awesome song!!
Or can't get enough, bad company two grest tunes by the great band
"Don't Look Back" is one of my favorite songs. Boston was so good they named a city after them!
My 1st concert in 1978 at Washington State University! They blew us away! It was unbelievable and Brad's voice was so freaking awesome!
i'm in love with this song since 20 years. it gives me such good, positive feelings EVERY fucking time i listen to it! no matter if i know nothing about that band, i will be thankfull 4ever for these feelings and music is able to do that!
Love Boston! Man...I jam with them! All the time. 😊😊👍👍💯💯💯💯
Did the 1970s ROCK OR WHAT ..
My daughter is now 34 but in her high school years I walked by her room to hear this song playing loudly and knocked and walked in and she was like MOM I’ve heard u listening to this but never really paid attention but OMG just WOW!! This is my era and as a huge music lover both my children are very well versed in all genres of music but it’s moments like those that make me proud
And ur beautiful wife got it going on! She’s got that FEELING with the head bopping. She be jamming!
Boston - Foreplay / Long Time is a feel good classic. You’ll love it. Boston has a ton of great songs and quite a number of radio played songs from back in the day.
The drummer in this band Sib Hashian has a daughter named Lauren Hashian who is married to Dewayne "the rock" Johnson.
RIP Sib.
WOULD U 2 PLEASE React to The song Hair of the dog by NAZERATH A huge banger from 1975 YOU WILL Thank me I PROMISE , Take care
rattnroll84 more importantly Sib was on PFG tv with Scorch
Oh wow
Boston is amazing please do Amanda
I live in Watertown, MA right next to the house where Tom Schulz wrote and recorded this album in his basement!! And good lord.. Brad Delp on those high notes is just mind blowing..
Boston, the best rock band live performance I’ve ever seen.
47 years later and it NEVER GETS OLD
I love you guys you always put a smile on my face!
Let's Go....welcome back to the channel Baby....Damn!Jai blastin'...🤣
All of this music besides the vocals was done by one guy, Tom Scholz, in a basement apartment in Boston, MA!! Every instrument played, recorded, engineered, and mixed! Amazing! I love your show too, great chemistry, never stop laughing! Thank you!
Boston's debut album which includes this song is to me, the best album of the 70's. This is the only album I have heard every single song on the radio. You need to do Piece Of Mind, Foreplay/Longtime, Rock n Roll Band, Something About You, Smoking & every other song on this album lol. Another Journey down the rabbit hole
Love you 2 reacting to this. The talent and groove are undeniable
Space Invaders is the Atari game Half speaks of which came out in 1978....This song came out two years prior in 76
That was fun watching you guys jammin' to that classic song! She seemed to be really digging that one! Good job!
I got a big smile on my face watching you young folks listen to the music of my youth. We were certainly blessed. I suggest you react to more Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, early Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan and Stevie Ray Vaughn. So much blues and soul and those artists.
By the way, your hair looks great girlfriend!
All great choices!!!
We use to blast this album in the gym while practicing our gymnastics 🤸🏼♀️ it was awesome!!
Merry Christmas 🎄 guy's. Boston is a awesome group. R.I.P Brad. Do Amanda or Forplay longtime. You'll love it
Now that you're down the rabbit hole and have done Boston, you have to check out "Boston - Peace of Mind" Such an Epic song
a true classic guys, rest in peace Brad Delp, legendary singer.
This was our jam back in the day. Mr and my hubby if 49 yrs love 70s rock. Turn up.
They were from Boston, 2 GUYS in their basement, they had to make a band to tour.
About 20 miles from me. Watertown, Ma. There's a great vid on UA-cam where Tom goes back to the house. Check!!

As a 55 yr old woman, I LOVE seeing the younger generation enjoying the music as much as we did! Music is timeless & it unites everyone. Really enjoyed your reaction. God Bless!
So good to see the classics still burning brightly. Just like you two. Classic.
Did you notice that the " space ships " are upside down guitars.
With city skylines in the top bubble.
@@Pixelologist yup.
And the planet Earth exploding in the background.
@@Pixelologist the Boston skyline
I had this on cassette and never noticed the guitars upside down .
Representing Massachusetts properly! Great band.
Much love from the East Coast! ✌🏼Hope you're enjoying the holidays!
There are some things that are the top of the chart of beautiful. 1 - your wife on your wedding day 2 - a newborn baby asleep in your arms, 3 - a beautiful woman headbanging to great rock music!
Loved your reaction to this song - a staplepoint of any good rock music library. You just haven't discovered yet enough just how dam good this band was - and this album specifically.
Every single song on that album was a hit and had radioplay EVERY song. Its among the top selling albums of all time list - and this was their DEBUT album. Never before heard or known, from jumpstreet these guys were stars with these songs. You can't find a bad song on this first two albums for sure.
But most love: Peace of Mind, and Foreplay/Longtime as their favorites. Rock and Roll Band and Smoking are both fantastic with a little more pep in them.
Yes they're from Boston.
How could you watch these two people in this video and not get caught up in their infectious love of this song. The way she smiles and looks at the camera is just so much fun. The way they check out each other speaks to their own love for each other as well as good music. I mean, isn't that the first thing most of us want to see when we discover something awesome - does the person we love enjoy it too? If so, its just that much more fun. Yep, these guys are great fun and are the kind of people I'm sure I'd like to know.
That was popular when I was in high school! Yeah, I'm old. haha! Fond memories! I just discovered you guys yesterday! Y'all are too cute together! :D
Yeah. I was a sophomore when this came out.
Basically this entire album is complete 🔥🔥🔥. EVERY SONG ON THE LP IS EPIC!!
Love this song
Legend has it that Brad Delp is still holding that note to this day
Best Boston comment ever!
Boston & Rick Derringer were my first concert-1976. Great song!
How was Derringer? The Derringer Live album (8 track) was in the player for a couple of years straight. clickclick :)
@@432b86ed Rick Derringer was fantastic. I remember he was taping for live album that night.
This was recorded about 20 miles from me in Watertown, Mass. In a tiny basement. You've prob had many other comments on this. Check out THIN LIZZY!! The JAILBREAK album to start.
Underrated band....love them
Love Boston and miss mass. hate floriduh where in mass from the south shore Stoughton. The night my First Grandkid was born this was on the radio and I had it cranked and my foot on the floor. Miss Home loved the music concerts all over N.E.
This is the album that turned me from a bubble top 40 fan to a rock & roll fan and I never looked back.. I was 15 when this hit the airways. I'd turn out the lights put on my head phones and be in another world...
Boston was so far ahead of their time. Soooo good. I got to see then in Detroit for their farewell tour. Yes I’m old. 😁
Look closer...those spaceships are guitars.
And you get a double like for being a Chiefs fans!😊
I love it when y’all love a song as much as I do.
Dave Ghrol of Foo Fighters once said that this song sounds like what it feels like when a dog sticks it’s head out the window of a moving car.
You guys are great together and Bro you’re a lucky man with a woman who’s smile lights up the room and infectious laugh.
More than a feeling!, that song will never get old!, its part of history and it should be legendary. High energy vocals and amazing rock for it’s time. I was probably 13 years old when this song came out and It still rocks this world.
That was a double barrel BOOM!
Jai, you keep bangin' like, that those braids are knock Half tf out
bwahahahahahaha, I liked those head bangin' braids too, to the beat of the music. Barry Goudreau was real good on guitar, huh?
@@wurlitzer1955 Yes that solo and song is a rock standard.

This song was featured in the movie "Zookeeper" with Kevin James and Rosario Dawson. The animals sing it at the end.

It's that song you want to play on your home security system alarm.😁😁😁
next boston tune...foreplay/longtime
This is a perfect rock song. It's perfectly constructed, everything maximizes the build and drama; the vocals are totally on point, the guitar is rocking (and when it came out, no one was processing the guitar like Tom Scholtz); the build, the drama, the memorable tune. Perfect rock song.
Boston, another rabbit hole to go down.😮😉😊👍
Yo, this is one of my top songs along with stairway to heaven and hey you by Pink Floyd (I’m a hip hop head but I’m saying, I got a top rock song list, too.) Y’all should do Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf. I know y’all got mad requests. And if you ever do hip hop again, can y’all do “The 3rd World” by Immortal Technique? Again, I know you got like 5,000,000 other requests in front of mine. Love the channel, and your reactions! Y’all got a beautiful relationship 🙂
