I bought the wrong harness for my wife's 00 limited. I've been wondering I was doing wrong. Thankie for this video and description! She's at 389k and still chugging! The truck! Not my wife!
Watched this video prior to doing my own installation on my 2001 4Runner. Biggest trouble I had was feeding the wires from inside the car, through the factory grommet and up inside the gate. You need a reasonably stiff wire to run up through the gate or it will just get stuck and bunch up. Tried speaker wire first and it just got stuck every time. Then I used 18AWG twisted pair with jacket and fed It through and once it peeled through, I taped the AV cable to it and pulled both wires through. It is crucial that you tidy up all the wires inside the gate or the back window will get stuck and either pull your wires apart or burn up the motor. Either way, wouldn’t be a good situation. I zip tied the camera wires to the exiting factory wires in as many places as i possibly could. Other than that, nice video. Oh and one last thing, the manuals don’t really spell it out, the wire that powers the antenna to go up and down is the red switched 12V wire so tie the reds and the blue (it was blue on my car) antenna wire together and you should be all set.
Man, I've been struggling with this exact issue - trying to get those wires through the gate (after getting them through that grommet). I've tried thick weedeater wire, a hanger, a fish wire tool (that ended up getting stuck in there). I've sliced my knuckles up all in that gate trying to push and pull wire, and I'm about to call it a day and just use electrical tape all over the place inside the gate as best as I can. Somewhere along the way, I must have ripped some wire inside the gate because now my blinkers no longer work. The 'ole "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" saying never rang more true.
Thanks for putting this up. I just got me a 2001 4Runner and this helped out quite a bit with the install of a new unit and back up camera. Though I did things a little different in running the wiring from the back of the car higher up in the side panel and then followed it down into the floor boards and so forth. I also hooked up my camera power to the accessory on the stereo and only my reverse trigger to the reverse tail light. This way I can monitor out the back while driving if the need ever arises, such as monitoring a trailer load, etc. Those rubber grommet tubes were an SOB to fish anything through though, especially the the one at the top of the hatch. I endured a lot of frustration before figuring out how to pop the lower end of it completely free to make it more straight and then learned how to apply a bit of dish soap to really make the fishing job slide right through. Anyways...gotta love Classical 89!
Will Wickert can you say more about how you powered the camera? You said to the accessory on the stereo... do all stereos have this? Or is that specific to your unit? How would you view the camera input on your unit while driving? Is that an option from the unit itself?
@@cmto85 It's been a few years now, I don't remember all the connections I made, but yes...I do remember bypassing the reverse lights and tapping directly into accessory of the stereo unit or something like that. I can't say if this is doable with just any stereo unit out there. And there is a button on my stereo menu that allows me to select "camera" to actually activate and display the camera feed regardless of being in park or drive mode.
Will Wickert yes! I found this out. Most stereos have the button to see reverse camera without being in reverse . You just need to make sure your camera is getting constant power and not only powered when in reverse. Thanks!
What a great video bro.. just what I need it to start my project.. also noticed that the video was recorded in Heritage court Apartments.. I used to live there and park close to that spot if not the same hahah I lived in 116 and then moved to 339, but I'm not there anymore, now north provo... thanks for the video!!! :D
Great write up as im installing my touchscreen next weekend. On the backup camera cable there is a red wire sticking out of one rca connecter. Isnt that red wire sticking out the reverse trigger wire. I believe it is so I can tap into the tail light like you did and eliminate the extra wire to the radio backup wire in the conector.
I watched this entire video and what I came up with, is that I would probably lose my religion in my drive way and so to keep myself from showing my neighbors my heathen side.. I will just have a stereo shop do the installation.
Believe me when I say that the scope of this job is huge. I only spent $25 on the back up camera but it took me three days. The only way that I was able to get it done was because I dabbled in car stereo installation in a former life. Because of that I do have some of the specialty tools that you will need to undertake a project like this. I actually had other tiny projects that I accomplished while getting to my goal of adding a backup camera to my aftermarket car stereo. From removal of the seats to removal of all the interior dash components and the interior door trim panels I also removed the carpet and laid down some soundproofing. My carpet is in pretty good shape because I have some rubberized mats but still took the opportunity to shampoo the carpet all at once since I removed it. Running the wires was pretty easy since I had all of the carpet and interior trim pieces removed. Still, A lot of care had to be taken while removing and reinstalling 20yr old plastic pieces. By far, the hardest part of the installation was running the wire from the interior cabin to the rear gate to its destination at the license plate. Wire hangers are always a good thing to have when trying to fish wire through a tight space. Cheers and good luck!
@@charlesthames5626 This makes me feel better. I struggled with this and almost gave up so many times and would finally get small successes here and there to continue on. Another one of those "this shouldn't take long" when my wife asks, then days later "mmm hmm, that's what I thought, why don't you just pay someone" (b/c it costs a lot of money!). That cavity in the hatch just about drove me to the insane asylum. After trying a coat hanger, thick weed eater line, a fishing line tool, etc., I finally used a long zip tie (had to attach two together), and it worked like a charm. Once I had it all buttoned up, the dang reverse camera wouldn't come on (and it had been working when I tested before the button up).
Just did this install. The back up camera alone took me 4 hours. I started from the back forward fishing things out left and right. I used a Nakita camera from Amazon and that required no extensions although the fitment is tight. Cut some slits into the rubber grommet at the hatch and then re taped everything.
You can actually hide those GPS receivers inside the dash right behind the middle air vents while you have the thing apart to put in the stereo unit. I've done it that way a couple of times and they work just fine. It makes for a nice clean looking install.
Hi - I just finished my stereo install on my 3rd gen and your instructions were awesome. I am ready to reinstall the climate control trim panel and I see a wire harness that is not connected...Ouch! It's the two that look like a light bulb and another that looks like an L. You can see it when you are in 2:59 minutes into the video. Do you happen to know where these go to? Thanks, Venvert
I have a 96 4runner and I am thinking about going from a single din radio to a double I have a kit to do the single or double din but not sure what all I will need to use to put in a double din radio
I'm having an issue. The harness With the 4 wires. Where do I hook those up to? They say to connect color to color but there's no colors matching them.
if you can respond please do. my 4 runner has subwoofers that where there when i got the car. it used to play bass but now it doesn’t and idk why. everyone i know says the wiring is perfect and good and the amp is on buzz i don’t understand why it’s still not working? whys that?
Did you have any issue with no sound from any speakers or any function from the radio? I used a metra harness and had to remove the factory Amp but I have no audio at all. Not sure if I wired wrong or not so any help is good help
Was this wiring harness able to bypass the factory amplifier? (everything works correctly). And what do you do with the power antenna wire? I saw in another video that you could just “tie” the wire up with the power wire.
Well we removed the factory amplifier completely to bypass it. We just used the standard sized Motorola side of the antenna and plug it directly into the radio. If you wish to use the smaller connector, you need to pick up a Toyota Diversity Antenna adapter. The power antenna wire (blue wire) just needs to tie into either the red wire on the harness adapter or the blue / white wire.
Thanks so much for your video! Will this work for a 2002 Toyota 4 Runner SR5? I am thinking it will, but just checking. Also, are there other places to mount the back up camera to besides the license plate or is that standard?
Yes, it will work. To mount the camera, the least invasive is to mount the camera on the license plate, however you can also purchase cameras that can be screwed into the sheet metal itself.
Also, do you have any back up cameras, that have a cd player, blue tooth, and SiriusXM radio that will fit a 2002 4 Runner SR5? If so, what brands do you recommend? I have a license plate frame on my license plate now. Could I put the camera on top of the license plate frame that covers the license plate or would I have to remove the license plate frame for the camera to work correctly? Thank you so much for your time!
Pioneer usually is my go-to, you can get a few that have all those features and will fit just like the one in the video. Head over to our sponsor sonic electronix and shop all pioneer units. Use coupon code ProvoBeast for 5% off your purchase. If your bolts for your license plate are long enough, it should fit with the frame fine. There are also cameras that are also frames themselves too.
head over to sonic electronix and use their vehicle fit guide. based on your year, make and model, you then will be able to determine what kit exactly is needed for your 4runner. Use our coupon code too, save some cash at checkout.
I have a 2002 limited. I'm assuming the install should be the same? Looking to add a double din receiver for my son. Metra 70-1761 is the only harness I need? Regards to 2 antennas, I saw a post about using Metra 40-UV43 Male to Female Motorola Antenna cable to be able to use both antennas. Sensible to do? Does it improve reception? GPS must be visible? Do you have any videos on Bluetooth speaker install? I'm assuming you run to rearview mirror? Thanks! ( first post/question using youtube )
Same install, yes. The metra harness is all you need and from my experience, purchasing the antenna kit really hasn't improved reception so it is totally up to you. yes, GPS antenna needs to be on the dash for best results. Bluetooth speaker install?
How did you seal the grommets back in place? I fished the wires through and let me tell you I ALMOST gave up what a pain in the ass that was but once I got it through both ends I'm not sure how to seat it back in place it won't stick and there is nothing to wrap it around on.
It sure was a pain, no discounting that, i just took my time and finally got it to stick. Honestly it was a while ago and this was a customer vehicle, so i can't really remember how i got it on but it will go back. Just take your time and keep working on it.
I'm Installing a Boss double din into a 2002 4Runner and looking at the Metra wiring harness I have unsure of which wire the orange/white wire is to be connected to on the radio harness
Great video. Thank you for posting this. I just ordered a very similar double Din deck w/backup camera and GPS, and I too have a 2000 Toyota 4-Runner!! So, this video gives me hope!! :) Question...about how many feet of backup camera wire will I need from deck to camera? I'm wondering if I'd be better off just buying a new RCA wire that is the right length and install that instead. OR I could do what you did and buy that extension ahead of time. How long should the wire be/or the extension wire? Thank you again!
I work on all that ,I plugged everything up ,and now clock, cigarette lighter, and stereo not working ,What did I do wrong.? Thanks you !Help! (Great video)
I am looking at purchasing this same stereo/backup camera for my 4runner as well. Now that you have had it for some time do you recommend the stereo or is it not very good?
This was a customer vehicle, i only had use of it for a few hours. I don't really have a recommendation on this radio, but in general, i would encourage a better brand such as Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, etc for better results. The camera is fine.
Your radio doesn't come with the vehicle specific wiring harness, visit Sonic Electronix and use their vehicle fit guide and they will tell you all you need. wait just to make sure the blue reverse wire was hooked up from the reverse wire from the harness to the red wire on the rear backup light? and the video yellow input/out put was hooked up from the stereo to the camera? and thats it if i want a reverse backup camera on my stereo? Also what is the blue wire called going from the reverse harness to the rear lights? and how do i know which wire is the reverse when has no label?
The blue wire from the radio to the tail light triggers the radio into reverse when the reverse light is on. Tap into the red wire on the tail light for that power signal. Depending on the radio manufacture, the reverse wire color on the radio may differ, so i would verify with the brand. The red RCA wire is what carries the video signal from the camera to the radio.
Great video. I am starting my install this week. do I need the amplifier from Toyota or can it be removed as you showed? Any difference in quality of sound?
Remove the one as showed, your radio will provide more power than that factory amp can output anyways. It actually will increase the sound quality based on newer technology and components. If you want more power, consider installing an aftermarket amplifier.
Dude. you guys are awesome. I have pink says illumi on the radio and on the harness is says dimmer but has white stripe. is that a match? its the only one left except the other stuff. excited to have tunes in my ride. thanks again fellas for doing awesome. anyone want a back up camera? hit me up,
+Josh Dierker Typically its only a pocket. Check out my tacoma install on my page, it will have the install parts used on that truck which are identical needed for your 4 runner. I used the *Scosche TA2154B Dash Kit Pocket.
Do you have to remove the factory amp when installing a new head unit. I have a 96 runner and so far my truck is the only one that has factory tweets in all the doors. The swap looks to be fairly straightforward just don't want to loose any noise makers. If it's not worth keeping please let me know Head units have come a long way. The last one I put in was in 1984 in a 1978 Toyota Corolla. Good vid man Thanks for any kind of help.
Thanks you guys that puts my mind at ease. My daughter grew up in that truck. The all ways was you drive it you get to pick it. She's a great mix so I know classic rock will help ease the Man She's Driving My Baby nerves. Great luck with plenty of business guys from Phoenix Az and thanks for the quick response. Time to get started.
Hello, loved this video, very well put together. MY question is, how do you like this particular unit you've installed? Recommend this or a different one???
Yes, you will need to remove it. Your replacement radio puts out more wattage than the factory amplifier can, and the adapter harness for Toyota does not retain the factory amp.
Hey so i just made my own harness and my single din unit works and everything but only my tweeters are playing any sound, any suggestions? Should i go through all the door speakers/ what else could it be? I matched all wires
Awesome video; gave it a thumbs up! I'm trying to install a backup camera on my daughter's 2002 4Runner but I'm getting stuck at the grommet part at the top. How are you getting it up through the first grommet so the wire isn't coming from the outside but the inside? How are you using a coat hanger to run it through? Also, when I popped off the second grommet, it was completely sealed on the inside except for the batch of wires that are coming out of it. I'm so confused. I really want to install this for her but I'm about to give up and return it.
I used a coat hanger to pull the wiring through. You can also use a very long zip tie. Regardless, it will help pull the wiring through the long grommet leading into the rear hatch. Which second grommet? If you are referring to the grommet that goes to the rear light, just cut a hole in it and push wires through.
I may be misspeaking. I'm looking at it like there are two grommets on either side of the hose at the top of the rear hatch that you have to feed the wire through. I'm referring to the bottom one as the first grommet and the second one as the second grommet. It's the one that is at the top that is sealed. I would post a picture if I could. It looks like the batch of wires that is coming out of it may be surrounded by tape and somehow sealed to the grommet.
I recommend Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, and Kenwood for head units. Usually the most durable and long lasting. There is a whole lot of choices out there for radios, but typically the ones above are the most reliable from my experience. The Wiring would be just about the same, regardless of the radio.
Thanks for the video, it will be a good guide for me when i install mine. However, what did you use to fish the wire from the top through the liftgate and out to the license plate?
On3, you still have a switch located on transmisson. You can tap into wire there. SET YOUR PARKING BRAKE FIRST, AND BLOCK YOUR WHEELS! One wire will have power, when shifter is in reverse. Wrap and protect this extra wire along same path as other wires.
Provo Beast Audio Installation connected where? I have this harness for my 2000 limited and I’m trying to connect it to a kenwood bt772hd harness. There is no solid blue wire or orange/white wire on the kenwood harness. What do I do with these?
I mean I have the same head unit and eincar reverse cam but I have it mounted on the left side of the car as I have a split boot and can't position it central but the camera screen is out ?
Provo Beast Audio Installation I'm going to have a play with it now thanks for the quick response :) we don't have any audio electricians around my area so we have to mess around with things :/ unless u drive 40 miles out
The long 20' blue cable i used, one end was connected to the "reverse wire input" on the new radio while the other end of the blue cable connected to the positive wire on the reverse light in the rear. So when the car was put in reverse and the reverse light turned on, it would send a signal to the radio to cycle over to the reverse camera view.
anybody with a 1996 and the older style plastic bezel with the cup holders up top don’t listen to the plastic bezel parts there are 4 screw holding it in and i pulled mine out and broke all 4 thinking there were no screws
im so fucking confused, how do you have manual 4wd shift with auto trans??? I have a friend with a 2000 T4R Limited and he doesnt have it, his dad has the SR5 model and it doesnt have it. Is this one base model or something? I have a 97 SR5 and the only reason my 4wd shifter is manual is because my trans is manual.

I know you posted this video a long time ago , but was wondering if you could tell me what instillation kit to use for a 1999 4runner? Thank you...
head over to sonic electronix and use their vehicle fit guide. based on your year, make and model, you then will be able to determine what kit exactly is needed for your 4runner. Use our coupon code too, save some cash at checkout.
Ok so where did u get the wires for the reverse? Like the blue on isn't factory
How long did this take you
how has the deck been working for you? bluetooth work well?
Good question...It was a customer vehicle, so i unfortunately don't know how well it's been holding up.
My JVC stereo says it needs to be wired to speed sensor to use CarPlay? Not sure how to do that. Any ideas?
Very usefull, The DD in my 4Runner is broken ,
I have a 2002 limited.
Great video!!! Does this new stereo have Sirrus/XM radio capabilities? Thx.
Hello what exact model stereo is this?! thanks
HOW do I find a reliable 4runner radio wiring diagram?!
Mine won’t work sometimething to do with my illumination light when I turn on the headlights says miswiring dc and won’t play music
Does this have android auto??
Where did you purchase the male connector for the wire harness of the car ( the black male connector from the other end of the metro wire harness )
We didn't purchase that separately, it came with the radio we installed. All aftermarket radios will include a wiring harness.
I'm
Installing a Boss double din into a 2002 4Runner and looking at the Metra wiring harness I have unsure of which wire the orange/white wire is to be connected to on the radio harness
The orange white is the illumination wire. If your boss radio doesn't have an illumination wire, then just tape it off, it wont be used.
The video helped out a great deal as well! Thank
You!
“I’ll put the discription in the link below”
Great video. Thank you for posting this. I just ordered a very similar double Din deck w/backup camera and GPS, and I too have a 2000 Toyota 4-Runner!! So, this video gives me hope!! :)
Question...about how many feet of backup camera wire will I need from deck to camera? I'm wondering if I'd be better off just buying a new RCA wire that is the right length and install that instead. OR I could do what you did and buy that extension ahead of time. How long should the wire be/or the extension wire?
Thank you again!
I would guess about 25' would be Adequate. You can go the extension route, or just purchase an RCA cable to the correct length. Totally up to you!
Is this the same for a 5 speed manual ??
I work on all that ,I plugged everything up ,and now clock, cigarette lighter, and stereo not working ,What did I do wrong.? Thanks you !Help! (Great video)
Sounds like you blew a fuse. I'd start there.
Does anyone know what that type of radio is called or something like that to send it to order for a 1999 4runner?
It’s in the description
I am looking at purchasing this same stereo/backup camera for my 4runner as well. Now that you have had it for some time do you recommend the stereo or is it not very good?
This was a customer vehicle, i only had use of it for a few hours. I don't really have a recommendation on this radio, but in general, i would encourage a better brand such as Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, etc for better results. The camera is fine.
Provo Beast Audio Installation ok thanks
How many inches is it
Thank you for the video, nice job. Do you think that same stero would fit a Tacoma Toyota 2004?
Its a standard double din, so with the right dash kit, yes.
where can you get the wiring harness that's modified for your new stereo? does it come with it or do you need to find that specific one?
Your radio doesn't come with the vehicle specific wiring harness, visit Sonic Electronix and use their vehicle fit guide and they will tell you all you need. Get 5% discount on all car audio items at www.sonicelectronix.com with coupon code ProvoBeast at Checkout. See the description for more details on the video!
wait just to make sure the blue reverse wire was hooked up from the reverse wire from the harness to the red wire on the rear backup light? and the video yellow input/out put was hooked up from the stereo to the camera? and thats it if i want a reverse backup camera on my stereo? Also what is the blue wire called going from the reverse harness to the rear lights? and how do i know which wire is the reverse when has no label?
The blue wire from the radio to the tail light triggers the radio into reverse when the reverse light is on. Tap into the red wire on the tail light for that power signal. Depending on the radio manufacture, the reverse wire color on the radio may differ, so i would verify with the brand. The red RCA wire is what carries the video signal from the camera to the radio.
oh ok thank you so much
Great video.
I have pink says illumi on the radio and on the harness is says dimmer but has white stripe. is that a match? its the only one left except the other stuff. excited to have tunes in my ride. thanks again fellas for doing awesome. anyone want a back up camera? hit me up,
Yep, tie those two together and you are good to go.
Provo Beast Audio Installation - thank you. Much appreciated.
I have a 2000 4 runner what kit do I need that plugs into my Existing wiring ?
All parts listed in description
I'm having a bit of trouble finding a dash kit to mount a single DIN radio in my 1999 4runner. Do you have one to recommend?
+Josh Dierker Typically its only a pocket. Check out my tacoma install on my page, it will have the install parts used on that truck which are identical needed for your 4 runner. I used the *Scosche TA2154B Dash Kit Pocket.
+Provo Beast Thanks so much!
Josh Dierker o
I have a 95 4runner can a 98 dashboard fit in it?
Do you have to remove the factory amp when installing a new head unit. I have a 96 runner and so far my truck is the only one that has factory tweets in all the doors. The swap looks to be fairly straightforward just don't want to loose any noise makers. If it's not worth keeping please let me know
Head units have come a long way. The last one I put in was in 1984 in a 1978 Toyota Corolla. Good vid man Thanks for any kind of help.
Yes, remove the factory amplifier. You will not lose the functionality of your tweeters, they will work fine with your new radio!
Refer to 4:23
Thanks you guys that puts my mind at ease. My daughter grew up in that truck. The all ways was you drive it you get to pick it. She's a great mix so I know classic rock will help ease the Man She's Driving My Baby nerves. Great luck with plenty of business guys from Phoenix Az and thanks for the quick response. Time to get started.
My pleasure! Be sure to subscribe!
Hello, loved this video, very well put together. MY question is, how do you like this particular unit you've installed? Recommend this or a different one???
Never mind, I just read the other questions and comments
This was a customer vehicle, so he purchased the radio. However, i recommend a pioneer or kenwood over the unit we used.
good day. I will like to know the size of the car stero for Toyota 4runner 2002
It is a standard double din size, 4" tall.
do you remove the factory amplifier for all aftermarket head units?
No, but it is necessary on these year 4runners.
yes i am referring to these years....i have an 01 4runner and will be buying a Clarion touchscreen soon.
Yes, you will need to remove it. Your replacement radio puts out more wattage than the factory amplifier can, and the adapter harness for Toyota does not retain the factory amp.
thanks
Mike Akins I was able to keep my factory amp in my 04 Lexus with the kit that I bought. sounds much louder with the factory amp.
what kind of stereo is that?
i realy want that same one
EinCar 2531 GPS Touch Screen Radio
Hey so i just made my own harness and my single din unit works and everything but only my tweeters are playing any sound, any suggestions? Should i go through all the door speakers/ what else could it be? I matched all wires
I have a 2001 Toyota sr5 4 runner i would like to have a back up camera
I think i understand, you may need to make a small incision where the wires are sealed in order to pass through the RCA cable through the grommet.
So this install is just using the head units built in power, no external amps?
Correct
You running stock speakers?
First of all, this isn't a personal vehicle, so the owner may have changed them, not sure.
Ok I didnt think you would use those crimp terminals on you own, would you?
hi, what head unit would you recommend and are the installation the same as far as wiring?
I recommend Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, and Kenwood for head units. Usually the most durable and long lasting. There is a whole lot of choices out there for radios, but typically the ones above are the most reliable from my experience. The Wiring would be just about the same, regardless of the radio.
How much if I payed you to bless my 01'
If you are in Utah, and wish to have an install done by us, head over to our website and submit a request there. Thanks!
What size radio is this?
Standard double din.
Thanks for the video, it will be a good guide for me when i install mine. However, what did you use to fish the wire from the top through the liftgate and out to the license plate?
A metal hanger, actually.
What wire did you tap into for the reverse wire?
Don't follow this stupid video. Tap into shifter switch. When [R] on your dash lights, correct wire will be live at switch.
@@aleksandrbmelnikov I don't have an auto so no R lights
@@aleksandrbmelnikov can you explain that a little better please?
Wiring is not the same in every car. You will need wire diagrams from a repair book and test light or voltage meter.
On3, you still have a switch located on transmisson. You can tap into wire there. SET YOUR PARKING BRAKE FIRST, AND BLOCK YOUR WHEELS! One wire will have power, when shifter is in reverse. Wrap and protect this extra wire along same path as other wires.
I installed a stereo duo din tanks.
Will this work for the Toyota White Camry? I think my car is a 1995 or 96.
Are you referring to the radio used? your Camry can accept a double din radio, so in theory, yes, it should fit.
Provo Beast Audio Installation This is great! How much is it though? Wouldn’t mind having someone installing it into my car
Call around different car audio shops in the area and get bids.
Provo Beast Audio Installation Alright wouldn’t mind ordering a backup camera for it. What camera model were you using for the installation?
What size radio was that?
Standard Double din 4" tall.
Did you clock still working after the installation?
Yes, it did. Be sure to plug it back in when you reinstall the dash bezel
Ok I'll check again. I check like 3 time and don't come back on
But thanks !!!!
I figured it out, it was another outlet so I plug it on the wrong one, thank you very much for your helping
Should my power antenna still work after install?
yes, as long as the solid blue wire on the wiring harness adapter is connected to the new radio, it will.
Same issue. The radio works, but gets fuzzy reception at times. Did you get your antenna to work?
Provo Beast Audio Installation connected where? I have this harness for my 2000 limited and I’m trying to connect it to a kenwood bt772hd harness. There is no solid blue wire or orange/white wire on the kenwood harness. What do I do with these?
Can you provide the video of wiring from wiring harness to aftermarket wiring harness, I feel like I have a bunch of leftover wires...
ua-cam.com/video/qf8gyciOZME/v-deo.html
For the reverse wire can i use 18 gauge?
Yes, it is a very low amperage. That should be fine.
Provo Beast Audio Installation ok cool
what was the total cost?
around 200 bucks
What size is that screen ?
Not sure, this was a customer vehicle and a off-branded stereo.
How much would a job like this cost
Labor, you are looking at around 2-3 hours at a shop. Most shops probably will quote 40-60 an hour, so around $100 for labor install, excluding parts.
how much do you charge for your service
Where are you located
Provo Beast Audio Installation what state you located this is to confusing for me
can u calibrate the camera ?
The camera is adjustable where it mounts to the license plate, yes.
I mean I have the same head unit and eincar reverse cam but I have it mounted on the left side of the car as I have a split boot and can't position it central but the camera screen is out ?
Good question, not sure. This was a customer vehicle, so i only had access to it for a few hours.
Provo Beast Audio Installation I'm going to have a play with it now thanks for the quick response :) we don't have any audio electricians around my area so we have to mess around with things :/ unless u drive 40 miles out
We're did you connect the trigger wire from the camera too ?
My 1998 T4R Limited Auto has this same setup for the 4wd
Is it Bluetooth?
Yes, but this radio is pretty low quality.
Thanks allot,for your help,it was a fuse, 👍👍👍
so the factory amp gets eliminated eh?
303Guppy yes
