This is a Whites Stainless scoop. This was on the shelf the last day Whites Electronics was open in Sweet Home Oregon. I had to get it. It was the last one on the shelf.
I know people have to live that way but God helps those who helps themselves. Living that way is no excuse for trashing the area for others. That may just be why they live like that way... Too lazy, no one can dispute that. Nobody needs a handout if they don't care about others.
I really hope they come out with an update to stabilize the VDI on that machine. Im new to detecting and i went with an xterra and i think thats my biggest complaint about it. I dont look at the numbers too often, but it really destabilizes the tones for me.
@@detectorguy4565 I don't want to sacrifice sensitivity for stability though. Thankfully most of the places I detect have low EMI so I can get my sensitivity up to 20-22
I've came across 2 places like this now in the woods. 1 I found the guy was asleep in tent. Had washing line camp fire. Everything.. Next time I went I took him food and he asked me not to video or post so I respected his wishes.
That large target was way too big to extract from the creekbed. It looked like an old truck rear end or gearbox. That is probably where some of the slimy oil was coming from. That water was super nast. We only hunted in it for about 30 minutes until both of us came to our senses and decided it was too much of a risk getting cut or stabbed by some nast metal or syringe. That abandoned homeless camp had several holes in the ground toilets full of TP just 15 feet above that creek. We never going back there.
Relic. ??? It's still being Made and Drank but not by me and I don't drink and I have still seen on the Shelf at a Big City Grocery Store.... and They still have Falstaff, Hamm's, Schlitz, Miller Pony, and Olympia Beer and ALOT More that I thought was gone but aren't
What was the big target you found in the stream. You guys got to start digging that stuff. You will always wonder. I do if I don’t and it will make another video and tons of views. Thanks
We will not be going back there because the water is very polluted by the homeless camps on the hillside. That big target felt like something so heavy we would not be able to lift it out of the water.
we got it bad here. And our shelters or whoever hand them clothing and stuff and they take it to the bush and it ends up there for life. Although couple places had all trash in bags cleaned up. Wont take long before raccoons get to them. Sad.
This is just a drop in the bucket. That whole hillside is full of abandoned camps. This is what turns us off on metal detecting the streams in my area. The homeless have completely destroyed our streams!!
It is sad what has become of our streams and rivers in the big cities of thde US. All big cities are the same now...the waterways have become a cesspool
Restart the Civilian Conservation Corps to house and feed the homeless who want change and help them become productive citizens in our society. Probably just a pie in the sky idea though?
That was English ivy that many people and myself are not sensitive to. English ivy has very small amounts of urushiol. However I am always on the lookout for poison oak which is very common here and I am extremely sensitive to. Western ivy which is poisonous is only in eastern Oregon. I an always on the lookout for stinging nettles too.
I am sure if somebody gave them a chance...some might get back on their feet and keep a job. I do agree, society makes it easy being homeless, free tents and food. Too many handouts. Let them work and feel needed, they will thrive!
Yeah, that looks like a place I could have hours of fun…..NOT! Leave river metal detecting to AquaChigger, he’s the master ! You should take your 250 metal detectors back to the tot lots…😵💫
Nice new scoop ,haven't seen it before😊

Awesome stream brother 👍😎
Thanks for the visit!!

If only they could feel needed again.

I have that same problem, it makes it very hard to pinpoint. I heard the XTP is not updatable. I think it does very well in the water!!
I find that if you run your sensitivity around 12 it is more stable

Thats just fucking disgusting they destroy the woods like that. I have to agree with you put them to work. imo.
Very sad that people have to treat the grounds that way

So what was in that metal box you couldn't get out? will you try again it's too good to let go

It had a square or rectangular shape so maybe some day you can find out
schlitz malt liquor...thats a relic.
Yep. If it was a full can of beer, it could be valuable.

What metal detector do you use?
I used the Xterra Pro that hunt. I use many detectors.
What a mess!
It is like that all throughout our city on our streams and river.
Breaks my heart

The CCC would be a great way to reduce homelessness. It worked very well in the 1930's.
Might be my eyes but i thought yr vid very blurry ! Couldnt see detail !??
It may have been your internet connection. This video looks like it has 1080 resolution like my other vids.
You know that’s all poison ivy that you’re walking through😮 And you just threw your detector right in the middle of it😮

If they got hungry enough they might work. Too many handouts. They need jobs but nobody wants to work.

You got that right! That water was super nasty oily. I will not be going back there!!
I really feel for the homeless but the mess there gives the homeless a bad name.Pray for them.
