I got the Gas Station preamp pedal two weeks and couldn't stop using it since. Now I want to try the Cali MkIV so I could get that beefy Lamb of God rhythm tone.
That's somehting I'm really confused about. They have these mini preamps, a digital amp processor in pedal format (the ge200) and in an amp format (little tank something something). And all of them have different knock of amp moddel names, no consistency whatsoever
Just a guess but... Phoenix: Diezel Herbert Cali: Mesa Mark iv Custom: Marshall Plexi/Fender Twin type of hybrid? My guess is the PT100 by Suhr, based on the description. The custom 100sounds like a Hiwatt tho, at least to my ears.
Custom 100 as in custom audio amplification/electronics (caa/cae) pt 100 (prototype) later suhr... But I think it's a step up from slo 100 (just my opinion) . A lot of artists have replaced their soldanos with this in the past... Give it a try and see what's best for you?
Cool…a video of some dude playing jazz through a bunch of high gain preamps, and then he plays anemic shredding and never once plays a chord so we can here how the pedal sounds
this video has the tendency that guitarists resign. the more guitarists resign the less pedals you sell. In Fact without appearing envious and shit, i do not know how the sound of that pedal is now. There was Reverb there was never a note or a chord played longer than a second or a half. But if i want to buy one it is because of the texture this does to the sound and not because a guitarist braggs with having no free time.
Xavier Schattel With respect, “Modern Metal” is the name of the pedal on the side of the box, it’s not a description of the choice of segment I chose to write. I didn’t write “jazz fusion” at the beginning of the first section to introduce that style, so that isn’t what I was doing in the last segment either. I do pay very close attention to all styles of music, so as I say, (and I really mean to do so respectfully) I think you’ve misunderstood the meaning here. But tell me what you’re into, I’ll check it out and hopefully you can introduce me to some stuff I might dig. Cheers. J
I think the other guys are mad ,,, you getting all the good parts ... So nice ... Something for everyone ... Thanks 👍👍👍 D ...
Cool demo. I personally like the Phoenix pedal the most.
I've got the 017. I put it in NY affects loop as a pre amp and use my Metal Muff pedal in front of the amp. Sounds pretty sick

I just got the same pedal it is sick!
Wow, incredible playing.
Excellent video, honestly you inspire me to pkay better...
I love Mooer! My GE200 is great!
Can we get the Preamp Live already so I can have all these in one box please??!
Doesn't the GE200 contain them?
kingstumble I dunno about the GE-200 but the GE-300 probably will.

Monster chops
Really would have been nice to hear channel 2 on the Mark IV on more than 3 strings limited to half the neck. Where's the chunky rhythm tone!?
Sounds pretty good 😎
Nice soloing!
4:23 This smells like Megadeth
Teneus Ha! Busted! I love them, probably a subconscious thing but Marty F is a massive influence.
Sweet
Do they fix the volume problem of the clean channel? Its way too quiet
Anyone know what the Phoenix is based on?
Engl fireball i think
What on earth is the Phoenix based on?
Can't figure it out. Framus cobra? ENGL fireball?
The Framus cobra is cosidered a metal amp too....
@@morbidalex666 fireball

Yeah, i think its probably that one. I wish they would make a Soldano SLO 100.
I actually thought the Custom 100 was the SLO when i saw it, but im second guessing myself

The first section totally threw me off and I was ready to give up. Then the metal Mk IV madness started. :D
Nice red herring there from Mooer

Elaborate please man, I’m not sure I understand your point? X
"modern metal" ahah go out and learn what metal today sounds like.
