Wow, this is one of the best gear demos I've ever seen - musically captivating in its own right and yet highlighting the character of each pedal. I cannot believe this channel has less than 1k subscribers, this was top shelf content. Fantastic composition and playing!
The best demonstration of these pedals on UA-cam. It would be great if someone did a side by side comparison of the first 12 of these against the presets of the same 12 pedals in the Mooer Preamp Live.
Hard to see a guitar who can do it all. I think you are the first guitar player I’ve ever seen in my life that can shred any musical style... that was incredible!
Mooer surely paid you for this!? Hands down the best playing review of the micro preamps out there. The cheeky wee chord at the end of all the tracks....epic!
Hola! 👋 me llamo Rodrigo! Desde Argentina! Sos asombroso! Genio total! 👏 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
rodrigo andrade muchas gracias amigo! Yo soy Ingles, y yo estoy apprendiendo el español. Estoy feliz que tu gustar el video!! Gracias, y lo siento por me escribe mal!!!! Sort of?? 👍👍👍👍👍
Proof, if you needed it, that it's ALL about the talent, and not the gear. If this guy used these pedals on an album, nobody would question the tone he's getting. I tried, but I can't say "the Shred Shed" 10 times without messing up. Damn you with your clever name!
Memorable, yes, but makes you sound drunk when you say it. :O) Listening all over again, and if anything, even more impressed. If Mooer haven't given you money for this, then purely out of the kindness of their hearts, they should... you're doing them big favours. If this is a paid-for, then you have earned your money many times over.
Great playing! The recording chain would be interesting to make it a fair comparison for the bedroom guitarist. The pedals sound pretty different in the loop or in front of an amp. I like the pedals a lot. They are awesome!
Hello. How to use it in a pedalboard at the end of the chain, or distortion/ocerdrive before and modulation and delta/reverb after? Thank you very much for the finished ones. Regards
HI, Love your demo clip. Can you tell me what a bride pickup do you use in you tele, please? I am going to replace mine for minihb but not sure which one to choose. Will appreciate the answer ;)
Yeah sure thing. It’s the Richie Kotzen DiMarzio set, the neck pickup too. Splittable via a little mod on the tone control that splits the coils via a push pull. I love it. Thanks for saying you liked the clip too - I hope you get your tele screaming the way you want it too. Cheers J
@@Jamiemccredie Thank you! I was looking at all of DiMarzio but wasnt sure which one to choose. Im looking about sth on the gainy side but same time was afrais od SD pickup. Looks like RK is perfect :)
Superb video and playing !!! My amp (Roland JC-22) is not really complementing my OD/DS pedals , so I am planning to get one of these preamps, not ony for their amazing leads, but mainly to use their clean channel for my OD/DS pedals. Which one would you recommend for that purpose? Was thinking the Cali 008 one, but I can't hear them live where I live. Any suggestion? (my OD and distortion pedals run the whole range, from light rock to heavy heavy metal). Thanks
I would go for the U.S classic I think. It’s a good solid Fender Twin sounding preamp, so a nice place to start as a bedrock for your pedals. I’m guessing the reason your overdrive pedals aren’t doing it for you through the Roland is because it’s a solid state amp? OD pedals are designed to run an analogue valve circuit a bit hotter and therefore “overdrive” it into a sweet gain with more harmonic depth. An OD pedal in front of a solid stare amp will usually sound very fizzy and digital, which actually loses signal when it crosses the 0-dB threshold. Amp-wise you’d probably be best getting a low wattage valve amp like a blues junior, and then putting anything you like in front of it. I honestly think these mooer pedals are great though, and superb value for direct recording, altering an amp, or running through a P.A. Good luck finding your vibe! And shout if you need advice etc. j
First of all, that was incredible playing. Oh, my goodness. Secondly, have you tried any of these with OD pedals in front them? Just curious how they take pedals.
Lucas Sousa yes absolutely. I quite frequently use them in front of an amp to alter its character. I do a lot of touring with various artists and sometimes you don’t know what amp you’ll get in various countries etc. so there’s always a couple I carry in my bag. 👍
I finally found a pedal to sounds and does what it says it will do I trade a zoom5gn for my moore 200 and man oh man it's the real deal yes it is in Mississippi
Amazing demo! Can you advise if the 1st channel breaks up as you raise the gain? Or would I need to use the 2nd channel to get a small amount of break up??
Wow.. Excellent playing and demo. Loved it. Which one would you recommend for jazz and blues tones. I am on a budget and can only get one. Kinda torn between Classic deluxe and day tripper. Cali Mk3 for versatility perhaps? Thanks in advance for your help.
Hey bud, thanks for the compliment! Much appreciated. Probably the US classic Deluxe for jazz, with a bit of treble & mid rolled off, and either the Regal Tone up high, or the JCM 900 down low for blues. They're quite applicable to more than one genre if you're up for tweaking. Good luck!! J
Get the funk out! :) Was looking for a two stone demo, but I'm not complaining. Where you at, and do you ever play localy? Oh yeah, Mooer should hire you!
Alan Betz, I got a list from #001 to 010 on musicradar website: 001. Diezel Hagen 002. Marshall JCM900 003. Koch Powertone 004. Vox AC30 005. EVH 5150 006. Fender Blues Deluxe 007. Tone King Falcon 008. Mesa Boogie MK III 009. Engl Blackmore 010. Two-Rock Coral
So I had a look, and it goes, treble - 7, mid - 4, bass - 5. It’s all about the mid scoop. But an important thing about getting that sound is to use 2 reverbs. Use one very short plate reverb, like 250ms then the usual spring reverb. That’s how they did it back in the day... good luck. J
coccoslash Hey mate. They're the Dimarzio Ritchie Kotzen set I put in a few months back. Coil splittable humbucker via a push-pull tone knob too. Really nice and thick tone, without losing the tele twang you'd want. 👍🏻

Andreas Hofmeyr Thank you for such gracious words buddy. V v much appreciated
I came to see pedals. I left needing to practice.
It took a time to notice the design of his amp on the pedal xD
Corey Mccall it's the scarf......it's all in the scarf
Me too. I've got the 002 and the 005, and jamie just makes them sound SOOOOO good. Maybe it IS the scarf? Nah.
15 seconds in and those were my exact thoughts

Excelente Jamie! Cual de todos te gustó más como Lead? Un saludo desde Argentina!
great demo❗️
Great demo on these Moorer pedals! There are a few of these that I want to buy. I think I know why Donner discontinued their line of preamp pedals.
Really nice, man.
Wow! Super excellent phrasing/licks! Enjoyed the vid a lot. \m/

Sweet indeed!! Rock on!!
Complimenti per come suoni!!! Bravissimo

This guy can get a good sound with a calculator even, no need of pedals :)
Hako Thanks man!!
Amazing!
Bravo!
Nice playing!
Fantastica demo !!
Se puede conectar directamente a un mixer y a una PA sin utilizar ampli de guitarra ?
si, puede!
Nice, really nice !
Mercyful Media thanks x
great Man!
Dat fifty-fifty really reminds me of Van Halen tone... wow.
You are a legend !!!
Milton Daniel For that comment you are too! Thank you !!!
Now I know what they're supposed to sound like. Nice!
Benko Marjanovic cheers fella!
Which one was your favorite?
I decided to buy the 005 and 008 after this video
More licks that I need to steal. Oh, woe is me.

What's your favourite for clean funky ? 006 ? 007 ? 001 ? And for lead : 003 ? 005 ?
Probably the 006 Deluxe, and for lead the 50/50. They're both excellent.

First of all, that was incredible playing. Oh, my goodness. Secondly, have you tried any of these with OD pedals in front them? Just curious how they take pedals.
the lead tones are all sooooo similar IMHO, but at last musician demos then, rather than some god awful drop C metal muther, great tasty playing man
You should have done the gain channel on the 001 gas station, it's the most brutal of the lot. I bought one. $165 AUD, laughing!
which pedal prefer more for modern metal tones? 005. 008, or 009?
Can you set up these guys when you have a combo amp?
Lucas Sousa yes absolutely. I quite frequently use them in front of an amp to alter its character. I do a lot of touring with various artists and sometimes you don’t know what amp you’ll get in various countries etc. so there’s always a couple I carry in my bag. 👍

Mariano Luis Leiva hey bud! Glad you like it, thanks. No cabs at all. Just each pedals’ own cabinet simulator. 🤜
wow... really impressive guitar skills on loan going on there. Any idea where to get a list of which amps these pedals emulate?
Alan Betz, I got a list from #001 to 010 on musicradar website:
001. Diezel Hagen
002. Marshall JCM900
003. Koch Powertone
004. Vox AC30
005. EVH 5150
006. Fender Blues Deluxe
007. Tone King Falcon
008. Mesa Boogie MK III
009. Engl Blackmore
010. Two-Rock Coral
011 would be based on Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier
012 would be based on Friedman The Brown Eye
013 would be based on Matchless C30
Amazing playing and tone! Have you used amps or it is the direct sound?
Eder Freire thanks bud. Really appreciate your kind words. No amps at all, just straight into an interface & a bit of good reverb. X
what are the name of the tracks?
This guy is SO good, makes you feel unworthy of this pedal. (Alice Cooper, Wayne's World here)
