I wish that they wouldn't have such good guitarists demo these things. I need someone who plays more like me so I know how it's really going to sound. LOL😆

I have enough of listening bullshit reverbs or delays during testing gear. I know nothing from this movie clip. I have been testing couple of mooer preamps. I have chosen 009 which I love the most. 019 is my target number two but I still have to wait for proper test.
It's you again, isn't it? The guy with enough chops to start a Karate school :O) Another STUNNING demo of the Mooer Micro Preamps. Thses guys are bringing out so much good, and more importantly, musically useable gear. I'd really like to spend a week with the Preamp Live, as I have a feeling it's a songwriter's dream. Right, I'm off to Jamie's website to check the guitars :O)
@@Jamiemccredie I'd really like to see/hear a 1/2 speed video from 1:02 for about the next 10 seconds, because I literally couldn't SEE what you played because it was all a blur.
Well, if I remember right (because I don’t work the solos out in advance, just improvise them..) It’s an E-shaped A major sweep in 5th position, up to a C shaped A7 in 9th, then an A shaped A7b9 from 10th... bending up the b7 at the top and doing a cheeky tap. Something like that.. when I get a minute I’ll write it out and stick it on my website or Instagram if you like. I’ll let you know! Glad you dig it, it’s a bit silly to be honest, but in the style of the music I was referencing, so GAME ON 🤜🤜
@@JamiemccredieYou just improvise them. Phhh.... If I was a small minded man I could like you less right now :O) but I don't, so I'll work on this over the next few days.
@@Jamiemccredie Okay, after wearing out the left arrow on my keyboard to go back 5 secs each time, I still can't work out exactly what you're doing, and the "E-shaped A major sweep" doesn't look right. Your fingers are simp[ly faster than my eyes :O)
Hello Jamie, I received the UK gold plx today. All in all it sounds good, but I notice a strange response on the low e string. It sounds like there's a kind of octaver in background, masking the attack of the low notes in a crazy way. I tried many different settings and different guitars, with either single coil or humbucker pickups, but things didn't get any better. Did you get my same experience when demoing your unit or should I think I got a DOA and send it back?
Roberto Comolli hey bud. No I’ve not come across that problem at all. I’ve found their behaviour pretty predictable so maybe something is wrong??? If in doubt I’d suggest you take it to a shop to A-B two of them against each other. Hope you figure it out. J
Hi Jamie, thanks for replying. I actually did the A-B test in a local shop and i realized that I got a faulty unit, so I sent it back. Anyway I noticed on the good one some strange flubbiness in the lower end. It's something you don't perceive in the mix, but annoying to my ears when I play by myself. I ended up swapping it for the uk gold 900, which has a tighter bass response. Thank you again for your kind help and, last but not least, let me say you're an amazing player. Hats off! 🙏🙏🙏😎
I hate that I called the 020 Blueno/Bruno Underground 30 on July of this year (gearpage). Everyone thought it would be an awesome metal amp, I hoped I was wrong...
All of these do, just like guitar amps do. Speakers, not so much. I personally use the 010 two stones for my active bass and pedalboard. It sounds amazing...
019 is Tracii Guns' (LA Guns) 1967 Marshall 50w Non MV "Plexi" Lead Reissue (JMP 50 Model #1987x) and 020 a Bruno UG30. It was sad to hear Tracii didn't have an original or the JTM version with Tube Rectifiers. These had way more sag and response... I am grateful nonetheless. @@OllieNCS do you know how Mooer is producing these? In other words, how close are they to the real thing? Are they digital emulations like a Helix or are they profiled?
@@andrewsmall4865 Profiled. Just listen to L. A. Guns' album The Missing Peace (002/005 pedals through a Bugera 1960 power amp section). I couldn't tell the difference... I have the first 15 Mooers and compared them to the originals and (when used correctly) you get the same response, dynamics, etc. as a Kemper would. Preamp only though, as you will still need a good power amp to give it that last nudge. Not perfect, but then again, not a $1,000 to $4,000 difference worth buying the actual amps. Also takes well to pedals before/after, which not all amps do...
Ale Ingolfsson Very little. As I mention right at the end of the vid, just a little subtle compression to bed everything together, and conventional use of reverb and a touch of delay to imitate how an actual amp would be recorded in a real world situation. I haven’t EQ’d much at all, only a little reduction of the very very low end 50-100hz to clear up the crossover from bass & guitar. That’s about it really. Hope that’s helpful 🤜

The problem is the reverb sucks and people that never hold a Note a dont need a plexy and b dont care about tone.
I'm really impressed with how that clean channel sounded on the UK Gold. Nice tone and playing.
This guy is honestly such a fucking insane guitar player.

This is how the preamp sounds plugged into an interface in DAW?
Aquila Rossa yeah exactly. Nothing else, just guitar into the pedal, then the pedal into the interface. 🤜
