Hey everyone. As someone who fortunately already achieved this state of mind I can tell it is actually the best thing ever. You are constantly in peace, whatever happens around you don't make nervous or anxious in any kind of way. Even in situation like death of my grandmother I was standing there on funeral, feeling full peace in myself while watching relatives cry. The more you study this topic the easier your life will be. I would HIGHLY recommend a book named "The power of NOW" by Eckhart Tolle. It will explain your brain work in more details with really good explanations and details. Maybe audiobook is even better, you can listen it whenever you're doing things which you can do in autopilot like cooking, tiding up etc. And don't just listen it once.. do it over and over... Everytime you will learn something new. Make it your primary goal to achieve this state of mind, and you will be unpenetrated for ever. Good luck for you, this is the first and maybe last comment I wrote on UA-cam, sorry, too busy to learn and improve myself.

There are pieces of truth in the red pill and pickup artists, but there are some major failings with both groups that leaves their adherents not much more fulfilled than before. These guys end up in better shape, make money, what have you, but they still have a mindset that holds them back from being complete people. Hamza's advice understands that life is a complex system, it isn't just about women or social dominance.

Dude the way you described yourself before you got it together is exactly how i've felt so so so many times. Overeating, now i have stomach issues. Almost a manic obsession with video games and creature comforts. Smoking weed from sun rise to sun down. I'm also very prone to addiction. I was doing LSD every single day for 2 weeks at a time. Would take a few days off and then go right back to it. Forcing myself to work out again after 6 years was the best decision I've made in a long time. I've been contemplating removing myself from all social media for a few years, until i'm "complete" and have a reason to be there, I don't have many friends since i washed my hands with low quality friends or people i don't really know.. and I don't see any point in having a facebook besides to stare blankly at the news feed full of things that i don't agree with, things that are good for a brief laugh ,things that made me jealous, or depressed, or angry, anxious... nothing worth anything. And you just reaffirm the process i've been putting myself through. I'm gonna keep going, thankyou for the support man.

@@markh4604 well I have an addictive personality and I was in an abusive relationship at the time. I was younger and my priorities were pretty fucked, but I knew about tolerance and all that. I would just take progressively more every day, with large amounts of dabs it still has an effect lol. If it's not visually tripping it still alters your emotional state. At least it did for me. And what do you mean it doesn't hit you for 3 days? The trip? The trip usually comes on in about an hour within dropping, but I always felt mine 20 minutes in normally. I could be a neurological outlier tho, I've wondered as has my family, if I could be high functioning autistic. Never had serious enough issues to go looking for an answer and I excelled on sports and academics so it just kinda a shot in the dark. But it was a crazy situation either way. I was doing whippets on acid at one point as well. Not heavy addiction, after seeing steeve o's documentary. But I would compliment my weekly trip with 10-12 cans. I did that for a few months, weekly trips with some whippets. But a while after I got to the point where I was just eating tabs on tabs everyday. That shit fucked me up for a while. I'll never do acid again tbh.

And I'm more ripped than i was in high-school now lmao. I can do about 80 push-ups steady pace, a 2 and a half minute pushup, 12 hand stand push-ups and I'll hold horse stance in basically deep squat position while I watch Tv for about 5-8 minutes at a time, depending on how my joints are treating me. At 6' 1" 190 pounds I think I'm doing pretty damn good. I switched to an all organic plant based diet with some intermittent fasting every now and then I'll switch back and go stretches where only eat quinoa, steak , spinach and sweet potatoes for a few weeks to just load on carbs and protein to go fucking ham in my workouts. Slam a huge bowl of chicken bone broth with some chicken liver and pass out. I feel like a god right now. I'm training in karate now too, my step dad is an ex navy seal and 5th degree black belt, I decided to finally take him up on his offer to train with me.

You can go on and argue that the proportion and amount of dopamine is only reduced and it is still released, but then food can also cause the release of dopamine during starvation. Today I was just playing a wrestling game based in history I looked at myself thinking that I would be a wrestler I just thought you are literally playing a game
That's it if you can't understand what I'm saying I understand I don't really know how to really express how I'm feeling.

    • @Hamza97
      @Hamza97  3 роки тому +44

I understand what you are saying Alexandre, you're overthinking as a rationalisation of inaction. You do not need to decide boxing or music. If both give you enjoyment and you see a potential career out of them, pursue both otherwise I am certain you will regret leaving one behind.
What happened whilst playing the wrestling game indicates to me that your mind is currently looking for ideas. Fantastic. Be grateful for that. And now allow your mind to think without external stimulation. This will be the best thing you do all year. For some time just sit around with a pen and paper in front of you and nothing else. Switch off all the screens. Just allow your brain to think about what it wants to think and write down anything important. I wish more young people did this. Give it a try and come back to me when you have done it. I'll be waiting Alexandre.

Hi I'm an aspiring neuroscientist. Found the title of this one interesting so I had to give it a watch. Can't say I can relate to the whole addictive personality thing. I personally strive to make things like partying, weed, social media, video games, etc a beneficial part of my life. Doing all that I still hit the gym 5 days a week and get my prep work for PhD done (usually). But ofc I am not perfect and am still working on procrastination, proper sleep, and organizing my thoughts. Don't really agree with the philosophy of dopamine detox stuff but I should really get back into meditating. Also killing your 'lizard' brain would probably be a bad idea lol since it controls your breathing. The amygdala is in fact the mammalian brain. A core part of my philosophy is getting the pfc and these regions to have a synergy rather than competing against each other.
Either way congrats to the those of u with the patience to make it to the end of this paragraph and good luck on all of your journeys!

I agree, its all about balance. There are so many activities, that could be beneficial or turn into addiction. To put it into perspective, being loved or accepted is also an addiction.
The issue is, people are not thinking consciously anymore, they cannot focus. Random thoughts going through the mind shape their life, like they would be an animal. Brain do not see diffrence between reality and imagination. If you do not control what you think, you do not control how you feel or do. It should be tought at schools. Hi my name is Finn walker I’m 13 years old and I have adhd and I would like to say that over the past 4 years or so I’ve struggled with goals and with the lizard brain holding me back. Back in 2020 I had the worst year for me I was struggling to eat due to my eating disorder and I had a massive addiction to social media, as well and gaming. I wouldn’t go outside and I was struggling to get out of bed due to the thoughts in my head. 2021 I was in year 6 and I was 12 when I started to change a bit, I was still gaming a lot, started eating a bit healthy and did swimming training, running training and started to feel good, but little did I know that I started to get worried about being judge by school mates friends family and it got so bad that I had to see a therapist for the social anxiety. Now 2022 I moved into year 7 and there are 79 new students coming to my school, and this was a really hard thing for me since my social anxiety grew worst and I was to nervous and couldn’t go to trainings because I was to scared that I was going to be judged, and later on around the end of term 1 I had to go in for a surgery on my ear because I was 3/5 out of my right ear, but sadly it got infected and they said it will be ok just take these antibiotics and you will feel better, after the first day I just started vomiting and it got so bad that I was vomiting blood and it was horrible, we went back to the hospital around 1 week later to find out that I had a kidney failure so I was in hospital for around 8 weeks which is a whole semester of school which meant that I was very very far behind in school work. September 2nd 2022 I’m now better and my cousins Levi will and Lucy Ashcroft came down to Byron which is wear our beach house is, and because my cousins are very fit and they do a lot of training that meant I was going to have to do 2k every day on the beach and it was hard but I kept pushing on and when I wasn’t training I was watching ur videos on how to get in the right mind set. October 8th 2022 I was going back to school and that meant my cousin were leaving to go back to the coast, and because it was semester 4 that means all my tests had to be done within the next 8 weeks for me to pass year 7. 4 weeks later, I started to feel that eating junk food wasn’t good for me and I wasn’t doing well with my mental and physical health so I decided to put a screen time on my Xbox and a screen time on my phone to stop me from watching social media and playing rocket league, around 2 weeks later I started to go to the gym I wasn’t in the best shape but I wasn’t fat I just was quite skinny around 4 weeks later it was the end of school and I started seeing the results of the gym work and my diet that I have been working on very strictly. And that’s my story of how ur videos changed my life and put me in the right mind set so I would like to thank you for everything 🥹

Hamza, I'll always remember you. I just found out that I have Free Floating Anxiety, and the older I am, the more complex my problems, the scarier my symptomp gets.
I will come back to this comment, once I conquered my mind. I went to psychiatrist, psycholog, preacher, etc, and what they told me, in the end of the day, only ourself that can help us.
Starting from this day, I'll bee your follower (not as God obviously haha, but I believe we share the same God). I've been watching your contents fpr few days, and it really help me to understand more about my Anxiety. Mark my word, I'll come back, stronger, bigger and better. And if God allows, I'll visit you one day. No worries, I am straight

I'm a clinical Hypnotherapist, since 1974 and have come across this video by pure chance...I'm glad I found you and your enlightening advice... Well done you for fighting your inner monologue and telling the negative to shut the F@*k up... a very good and informative video. Congratulations on getting rid of the self-destruction lifestyle and kudos for helping a new generation of people to realise that there is a light at the end of the tunnel that isn't a train coming to run you over... Procrastination is rife and these motivational videos will help some to get up off the couch and do something with their life. Best wishes and keep up the good work.

actually the lizard portion of brain controls basic fear, for example fire...run away..... this part of the brain does reactions. The voices in your head do not come from there it is your mammial and frontal cortex that cause these problems. FOMO etc is a higher brain function. The lizard brain is lower brain functions tbh.

A close friend just recommended me one of your videos and this is the second one I'm watching after the first one. I have to say I really appreciate you and your videos. You give genuine life advice, giving us honest thoughts and sharing honest moments of ups and downs. It's really life-awakening watching you talk about this stuff and I feel you on the social media part. They KNOW. That's why the internet is so cancer nowadays. But, getting back to my point, good for you for turning your life around, I'm genuinely happy for you.

Watching this video was the exact moment when I started self improvement. Its been 4 and a half months and I have failed a lot since then but what amazes me is I have this newfound spark of getting back up every single time. i have no way of explaining it by something has woken inside of me and it won't just give up. I just hope that a few years down the line I somehow come back to this comment and think to myself 'I made it'. Best of luck future Sion, I got high hopes for you.

Sometimes it’s cool to develop some control or awareness over your urges. I’d say, you don’t have to stop fapping, but if you have to watch something very hardcore to get there then you’ve gone too deep. Same with the idea of doing something multiple times for the same gratification you got doing it once when you weren’t addicted. Exercising self control, abstaining from some pleasures for some time can help for future moderation so you can have balance with the PFC and amygdala.

Can you read books for leisure while on a dopamine detox? I have recently replaced the habit of videogames with reading. I just got done with The Institute by Stephen King, but since it's for leisure, does it still need to be avoided?

    • @hypermangi8265

Well... I'm against a full dopamine detox, where you avoid all stimuli as that would permanently fry your dopamine receptors, in which things would be the same no more. I'd still stimulate dopamine, but at a lower level. So, e.g. read books instead of being on social media, go for walks, etc.

Wtf ive always thought that these 2 voices came from me being bipolar but I'm so happy to hear that that's not the case.
Cos i know your telling the truth. I grew up in a pretty messed up family with 2 heroin addicts and fighting everyday.
I started playing so much video games that i didn't go to school, ate so much junk food i went up 15 KGS in 2 months from 11-12, i was so depressed so they sent me to an institution to "get help" when i was 13 but i just started using drugs mostly meth in the end and other types of amphetamines. This year after having a ego death on shrooms I've lost 30 KGS and travelled Europe by my self for some months to get away from criminality and to better myself. Cos i felt like the "devil" in me who is impulsive and does whatever he wants was getting too far away from my "angel" so much so they felt like 2 different people.
And today i learned it was only my amigdula... Something and my ph... Something.
I even use to play songs on repeat till i couldnt listen to them anymore that could mean i played a song for days almost always on repeat to satisfy that amigdula.
I'm so happy rn. cos everyone always told me Stefano your bipolar u can't change this but now I learned that i can.
thank you so much words can't discribe how much you just helped me.

have you had a lot of workout buddies you socialized daily with during that time in your life when you were high all day? let me guess: you didn't.
the workout clip you showed reveals that now, you're not doing this alone, but have connections with whom you can pull each other up.
this is massive, and I think a much greater factor than meditation and dopamine detox.

I was fighting with lizard brain. He wanted me to sit in a home and watch this video when i had to go to the gym. After around 20 minutes playing around, distracting, going autopilot, i finally got from my home. Lizard even told me that i cant go cause i have finger burn. I came back after 6 hours of gym and completing many diffrent tasks to now finally sit and finish this video. I've done everything i set myself to be done. I've started being aware of this fight taking part inside my mind. And catch myself wherever i hear the lizard voice then immiedietally i catch a wizard voice and let him win. End up conversation on wizard by doing exactly what is meant to be done. Last 6 hours of my life are life changing. I' ve noticed that shit before but now i tooked it very seriously. Lets beat this motherfucker!
