You could paint the drones green, call them RotFlies, and theme the whole ship around Nurgle!
Imagine, a swarm of vile, toxin laden flies, rising from a massive carcass to visit disease and joyous decay on the trespassers!

Oh, I know! Have the main ship be mostly plain with a simple colour set and then have the different types of these swarmlings modeled/painted after each of the chaos gods. That would be very cool, seeing all of these different coloured strike crafts go after the enemy PLUS it would also make it easy to identify their damage type at a glance which would make it easier to keep up when watching them fight. Remember, there is likely going do be like a dozen of these things in the air, if they're all the same colour it would look a bit boring and cluttered.
The frog on the ship makes it have more sense
I really like the particle cannon "eye", it gives them a more drone look. Can you mimic them for all variants ?

The idea of this floating drone turret staring down the enemy with it's purple eye until the AI is consumed by fear (or EMP if you're boring) is just too good to turn down. I'm all about those sinister cyclopes

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is, it obtains a difference or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is.
Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows: because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is, however, it is sure where it isn't (within reason), and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vise versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and it's variation which is called error.

I think it'd look really cool if you put a decorative crane-type thing on top of the drone spawning bunker.
I very much like the little "construction bunker" being its own building on the ship, rather than being attached to the bridge!
Also, the idea of this carrier coming into fights and using many, many minions to do its bidding sounds absolutely fantastic, the true overlord ship of the Legion!

Just an idea. Probably a really expensive and impractical idea, but I think it would look really awesome.
Now that we have an aircraft carrier, I suggest making smaller ships like frigates, destroyers, and corvettes that accompany the carrier and serve as support ships. These ships are equipped mainly with defensive armament but could also be equipped with cheap and weak guns like auto cannons or small cram turrets.
The idea is that the carrier serves as the main offensive weapon with its drone groups while the other ships are tasked with protecting the carrier and serving as additional side damage to weaken targets.
You don’t give yourself enough credit for the amazing builds you create! Hope all is well!

I adore the aesthetic of these little guys! I hope your other drones have different color schemes, like a military green for missiles, red for lasers, grey for advanced cannons, red for CRAM... Of course, I don't expect you to make a drone for each type, but it would be cool for each drone to have their own color.

I think the bunker being separate from the bridge looks great, you did a really good job with the drones. The different types could be painted differently and as many people commented already, Tadpoles would be a great name for them

Hi Lath, The bunker is fine If you go for the lore that it's not an aircraft carrier but one stolen by your faction and is now one of the floating cities of your society. Oh and the particle canon version for sure :)

I like the separate sort of bunker area instead of having it merged with the main bridge.
The swarm has awoken to strike down though who thought they can harm there mother.

Hello Lathrix. I used to watch you about two years ago and loved your vids. Recently I was thinking about your channel and couldn’t quite remember what your name was. Thankfully I found you and let me tell you that you haven’t changed a bit. Your intro is still the exact same! The vids are also still amazing and it is awesome to start watching your vids again.
I like the separate bunker, also the plane turrets things staring be like, "Try me, I dare ya" love it. Also I rly like both variants, maybe have like a 2 layer defensive perimeter?

id honestly like to know if you could rotate the vertical lens and make it a horizontal lens and what kind of effect that would have
For the Area between the Bridge and the Spawn-Bunker you could make it look like an aircraft elevator.

I think "blue scarab" is a nice name for the tiny blue lazer-craft.
i say you should do a mix of both variants of drone, 3 particle, and 3 missile. emp to stun them, and missile to shank them while they're down.
Keep it separate from the main superstructure except for maybe a sort of bridge to an simple weapons AA gun mounted to the top of the bunker. (the 40mm make *excellent* AMS weapons).
I do think you should put some more 'creation bunkers' at the front of the ship so you've got more than 4 drones at once though.

I have a GREAT idea for a new type of disposable craft! a really small airplane with a blueprint spawner that spawns small nuke bombs. the nuke is just 1 engine, a small amount of fuel and the nuke. no turning.
if you like big drone swarms than you will surely enjoy the game 'Drone Swarm'.
the demo is currently featured on steam and the full game will release on the 20th i think.

you should try expert difficulty in the camp, they don't bankrupt themselves as much and can make fleets instead of single ships

i think that you should a defensive AA gun on the top of the bunker just in case plus i think it would look cool and some bunkers did have AA guns on top of them historically

I don’t think the drone looks weird. I especially like the first iteration with the main blade on the bottom and the top flush
