- This walkthrough video looks at the new FX Modulator in Cubase 12 Pro, a very creative Cubase tool with six modules and 14 different effects for the modules. The FX modulator workflow is very flexible and intuitive, for example you can draw s-shaped curves or generate random curves for volume or modulation, quickly change the rhythmic value, create stutter, staccato or ducking effects, smooth a harsh sound, create ducking and much more. There are also additional functions for working with triggers, working with side chaining, etc.
We hope you find this video entertaining and useful. If you like what you see, please leave a comment and tell us what you think. Thank you.

Greg is my preferred master explainer. That was a real trip, thanks.
Thanks, great tutorial and demo 🤟
very well demonstrated Greg Thank you
first time see an interesting presentation of that new effect, thanks
GREGGGG!!!!!!! THANX A LOT!!!!! MANY DETAILS!!!! SUPER!!! GREAT JOB
THX! ✨
Overall it is a welcome addition in V12. Please consider adding a Ping Pong Delay to this. Maybe redesign it as a carrier for non-Steinberg VST effects?
Totally agree, would love to use other VSTs with this! Hopefully they'll release a pro version or another type of chaining VST
Wow how have I slept on this powerful effect???
Perfect demo, as usual. Extremly useful, thanks Greg.
Hey Greg! Thank you for making this tutorial. Wouldn't be great if we could use these automation curves as modulation sources for the Quick Controls? I would love to have it!

Late to the party! I was really looking for info on using the MultiMod in FXModulator ... but haven't been able to find a complete explanation anywhere. I so wish you'd covered it here.
so it is inserted as any other effect?? As an insert or fx bus. Right?? Thnxx brother ❤
Hi, i need to replaced my old desktop computer, can you tell me the specificaties for a strong computer?
Thanks in advance.
Is it possible to use the pitch effect for some cent instead of a complete note?
Interesting.. I like to zoom into the editor window that displays the curves as well
In the last example, why use compressor and not simply just volume?
Majority of people want CUBASE eventually having complex modulation matrix to modulate every parameter of every VST plugin. Like Ableton does, or Bitwig. It´s a real pity, Cubase doesn´t offer that. I am waiting for this since decades...when, when, when? I am on Pro12 and will likely not update any more as long MOD-MATRIX (any cable anywhere-style) and DUAL MONO will be implemented. Those two features are essentials today.
When can we expect that?
Beside, the missing DUAL MONO function really gives developpers unnessecary headdaches and take longer development-phases, if they want their Cubase using customers being able to enjoy this feature within their plugins. Cubase is THE best DAW imo, the Control Room alone is a bless. But the missing mentioned features leave a bad taste in my mouth...
while its a great fx I kind of love the static pad, reminds me of Being Boring
Lol
