Very helpful video like always Greg!
Maybe someone can tell me how to render in place in mono without creating Mono Output and routing it, but just to have a render in place file of midi track straight in mono with few clicks? Thank you.

It would be great to have the ability to render specific outputs from a multi-output virtual instrument, i.e., I want to render in place 3 outputs only of the available 16, but without having the other 13 rendered, too

I have rendered but have found I get an unexpected result, it’s not a straight forward action, basically you need to assign the outputs, in the Halion, you need to assign a MIDI track for the inputs, and you need to ensure in the project page, on the left side pane, the Halion out puts are assigned to the correct output. That’s the tab with the Halion name that the audio out, hope this helps👍

Hi Greg, I’m using Halion Sonic7 in Cubase12, I have setup Halion With 3 inputs, the main input 1 and 2 Midi tracks input 2& 3, I have loaded 3 sounds, I have assigned the outputs I/P main to output main I/P 2 to o/p 2 I/p 3 to o/p 3 inside Halion, I have in the inspector on the Halion tabs assigned the correct out puts to the correct place, I play Midi on input 2, Midi track it shows up in the mixer going out on the activated second channel everything as expected. To clarify, I have 3 separate inputs going to 3 separate outputs working fine, now I want to render in place a MIDI track, I select the MIDI track, highlight the MIDI track and render, what I actually get then is the 3 tracks rendered, my track has the correct data the other two are empty, what `I can’t fathom is why all three render🤷‍♂😂😂

When I render midi in place, the audio is blank. I've tried numerous suggestions but it always produces a blank audio file. Any ideas

Please add an option to render MIDI parts without adding (R) to the audio track name. I get this for rendering audio to audio as you wouldn't want 2 audio tracks with the same name. But that's not an issue with MIDI to audio.

Feature requests: Why not rendering Instrument tracks with inserts in the background by an option. Any changes will use the original material and the system will pre cache every inserteffect, but not the one is currently edited. (Eg an eq, reverb or what ever). If the user close or brings the vst in the background only the last edited vst will be rendered and added to the pre cached parts.
