The fact that Ufotable have added more scenes to the fights to really flesh them out and give them so much more weight than the manga genuinely makes it one of the few cases where the anime is better than the manga. Most of the final fight scene between Uzui and Gyutaro is unique to the anime and it elevates it to another level.
its good that they did it and yeah the anime is better than the manga but thats also good cause the world and characters are on another level and the coloring so its only nice to see that ufo gave demon slayer this chance and they didnt regret it
Demon slayer is really what I wish we could see in the future of how anime production is tackled. Taking your time and creating an amazing product is so much more worth it that producing actual mid like MOST anime are.
And I wish that anime fans had the same thinking as you! Like i feel like it’s hard for certain studios to get decent production schedules with big companies and impatient fans constantly rushing them. And there’s nothing more blood boiling 😠 than fans complaining about “BaD aNiMaTiOn” when it’s actually ‘bad’ art, due to having production issues. I don’t watch Demon Slayer but while it’s clear that Ufotable loves DS, it’s their production schedule that allows for such eye-candy. Hopefully going forward, anime studios can make workplaces a lot safe and healthier like Ufotable and KyotoAni
they still have a budget but its insanely large. some of it is also funding from the prime minister of japan who is a demon slayer fan and pledged to fund it financially in any way possible
I think you bring up a really good point with its simplicity. I was having a conversation with my friends and how one of the oddest thing about Demon Slayer was that there was no true internal falling out in the organization. There was no Danzo or Orochimaru, no Aizen, no corrupt world government, no secret assassination in the jujutsu organization, no spies pretending to be heroes. Shonen series love having these big organizations having huge internal strife in them and Demon Slayers are just like, nah, the Hashiras got each other's back.
@@ヴィラ34 almost like they have personal vendettas against the demons or them being a descendant of demon slayers and just want to continue to honor their family legacy 😂.
When Nezuko jumped up to spike Ume's head like a fucking volleyball and proceded to give her a biblical beatdown, I damn near jumped out of my chair, and that was like 4 episodes before the finale. You really cannot overstate how incredible this show is at this point.
@@kingwilliamlobo this anime’s humans are just stronger and faster than normal, with abilities of course but they’re bodies are still human. Really surprised that he was able to do that
Season 2 of Demon Slayer reminds me why I like Shonen stories. Yes, the characters and story are simple, but sometimes you don't need depth to tell a good and entertaining story. Sometimes, I just want to watch our heroes struggle to overcome the impossible. I want to see them push themselves beyond their breaking point because they absolutely have to win. I want to see them earn their victories and celebrate.
Hero Aca has something similar going on. There isn't a single character development moment in that show that I don't like. Every single time you see one of them push beyond their limits it's ALWAYS exciting and feels fantastic. Even something as seemingly simple as Kirishima reaching a new level of hardness is so well set up, animated and sound set that it makes you jump in your seat and spontaneously root for him.
The zenitsu theme is so cold 🥶 it just hits the classic dopamine receptors for me for some reason, a bit nostalgic for me now already I guess, you know what I mean by that, everyone had felt at least something similar like when you get goosebumps from in this case music, but it can be from other things too
As Garnt said, you’re gonna get beaten tf up for stating your opinions about any show. Except if it’s about complimenting Demon Slayer’s music and animation.
Yea cool but still isnt anything special to me. The story gives nothing to look back at follows the formula and is simple yes but all that does for me is turn me off whenever I see something cool animation and music dont make a show for me and they never will something is only a masterclass when it masters all aspects and delivers hype through animation and hype through connection and emotional weight. The latter kind will always be better than shallow hype with good animation and music to me. And now start beating me up because Imo, demon slayer is still just good nothing more 7.5/10
I agree Demon Slayer's strength is in its simplicity. There's no one shoving some philosophy down your throat or anyone with some clearly overcomplicated plan. You just have relatable, fun characters (Both heroes and villains), a pretty clear power system and a solid plot. I read the manga after season 1, loved it and yet, the anime surprises m over and over again, deepening that love
That's what I like about it. And can we talk about its power system? Like most Anime/Manga those systems can make or break it. Bleach or DBZ/Super is a prime example of that. And we also see exactly how hard our protagonists actually work to get to their level and we also get to see what the peak levels are by existing characters. We don't have Mary-sues
And that's exactly why I dislike it. There's nothing engaging about the show if the story is generic and follows a very typical shonen trope and quite frankly, I don't care enough about the animation for me to invest my time in it.
Gyutaro is honestly my favorite Demon Slayer antagonist yet for how his relationship with Daki mirrors Tanjiro's relationship with Nezuko. He serves as an excellent foil and with his offer to turn Tanjiro into a demon even makes Tanjiro realize that he and Nezuko could've been the same had they gone down the wrong path. I also like just how unrepentant he is. Even saying that he knows even if he was reborn he would still be a demon. He wishes his sister had a better life but he knows that he isn't redeemable and never pretends otherwise.
Honestly i think he's the only demon in the series that you can totally understand them becoming a demon. Rui had an extremely weak body but at least he had parents who loved him however, gyutaro has almost nothing he's poor, he's filthy and he gets bullied by litterally everyone for his looks. The only thing he has is his sister but even he thinks she's better off without him because she ends up getting burnt alive because of what gyutaro taught her.
Why do people forget about the effing orchestra of this anime - the music in this anime is one of the best I have ever heard. And this is coming from a music tech engineer. It’s so good in every detail.
Yes! The music is fucking amazing too. That's what makes those jump out of your seat screaming moments. If it had a paint by numbers score it wouldn't work.
The osts are amazing and the fact that every character and upper Demon have their own theme songs, when they battle their themes intertwine to give off a musical storytelling element that I’ve never really heard done. Most shows utilise an iconic main theme for huge moments, Go Shiina mixes the battle themes to give them a unique feeling and sense of urgency which is amazing. Especially for people who love listening to osts. Severely underrated score.
So many people these days just don’t know either how to keep they’re opinions to themselves or want to be trolls and inspire hate in every fandom they touch for me unless i really find an anime deplorable and not good every anime for me is always okay some people are too high on pride tbh
My favourite part is that Ufotable's "One weird trick" is just having a Director of Photography to make sure all the scenes LOOK NICE AND GOOD. Obviously there's more to it but that's really the core
Shows like Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer are rarities, and honestly I wish a lot of our old favorite shows would get the same treatment with great animation and no filler
i think the problem is the japanese system for promoting new ideas. I'm willing to bet there were ALOT of authors with amazing ideas that got scrapped bc of the system
What I love about the action scenes in Demon Slayer is that even if things get real chaotic and every colors are showing up in your screen, you can still see what is happening in the action. The fight is choreographed really well that you don't need to watch it at 0.5 speed to follow the action. And of course the artstyle man...
Mhm, i didnt even know there was a season two tbh *i read the manga after season one* and god even the manga stands quite high but that animation! Jaw is dropping!
@@triggeredfishthepug yeah and any slower episode like the training montage after mugen train all pushes plot forward and has super relevant scenes like talking with rengokus brother and tanjiro and the silent girl
I think that there's something beautiful to the simplicity of Demon Slayer's story. It's just sincere. There's no pretension or trying to act smarter than the audience, and there's a beautiful sense of compassion for every character. What you see is what you get in the best way. It takes a lot of humility, I think, to just tell a story like this without trying to over complicate it. Because it might not have sprawling intrigue or impenetrably deep themes, but it's the Shonen series I've most consistently been able to emotionally engage with. I think that there will always be value in a story that can engender empathy like this, to let you just be happy for, or sad for, or get angry on behalf of its characters. I think we'd lose a lot more if we forgot how to write stories like that than if we forgot how to write densely esoteric stories.
No, S2 is utter shit, 11 episodes of constant fighting, and whenever it should be over, it aint. It is just cash grab poor writing series with great effects. S1 was way better.
@@AnteBoss nah even as a one piece avid fan myself, your statement is kinda over the top. I agree without that goated animation, s2 wouldn't probably be as hype but it's an okay storyline. It's simple and perfect for casual non-anime watchers
I'm happy that Ufotable has been getting the hype it deserves and I hope a lot of people also check out their previous work to see their improvement over the years.
@@wombat4583 yes well know that. But my how point is this show is overrated. I seen the moive the anime . Sorry that can see that show cant just be carried by animation alone.
the entertainment district arc was damn beautiful no matter what haters say! Demon Slayer deserves the hype for being this well animated and not skimping on any details.
I think the incredible accomplishment of this series so far isn't just that the animation is "over the top;" rather, their accomplishment is that they've actually embodied all of their passions and care in Demon Slayer. Like, I would love to be able to say something like, "Man, if only One Punch Man (or insert any other battle anime in here) were animated like this." The problem with that kind of statement is that Demon Slayer's style is so iconic and unique that the same visual effects wouldn't have the same impact in other stories. However, what CAN and SHOULD be replicated is the top-tier love and attention this studio has given to their work. We can't expect every studio to conform to this kind of style, but we should expect studios to care about how their decisions impact the reception a story or fight will get. Any anime can have a similar, jaw-dropping effect if it's animated with enough intentional awareness and attention to the finer details. Demon Slayer is the embodiment of an anime that the animation team really cares about.
@@RuneKatashima definitely. There were also some impressive moments in S2, but it generally fell short of some of the hype and detail that S1 left behind.
Exactly. That’s what everyone misses. You don’t need it to be “complicated” to be good. If anything, the “complexity” of a lot of animes are super convoluted and unrealistic (even within their universe). Demon Slayer is straightforward in a simple, beautiful way. The story and motives are great enough to make it a classic and all time great.
What's great about this is that the simplicity of the anime made a huge room for animation production, which made a huge compensation for storytelling. It's not best in the story, lore, and plot, but it makes up for a great eye feast and entertainment.
100% true! Not every series needs to be so freaking complex and deep that needs a 5-page essay every episode to understand what's happening just to be considered "yep, this anime is good". The animation and music compensated for the simple, straightforward story *reaaal* hard.
For me I felt like season 1 was extremely overhyped because of episode 19. Mugen train got me more invested in the show and the Entertainment district arc finally had me obsessed with the show. I really despised the main 3 in the first arc because of the shouting especially when they all did it together which very much improved in s2 😅 but the show has really grown on me to the point I probably overhype it now haha with how much I love it. (PS overhyped doesn’t mean hate I’m just referring to how a lot of the time people reference ep 19 in everything about s1, I’ve really enjoyed Demon Slayer overall especially after this last arc)
It's so sad that people like you would hate on an anime just because it's popular. 😒🙄😡 (Jesus fuck, I thought that this reply being sarcastic was glaringly obvious, especially In the ones after this one I made it as obvious as I can, but anime fans are just mentally slow, I guess because I got my notifications blasted by 50 anime fans running on 8 braincells, so please stop.)

Well i liked demon slayer but i just fall asleep in most of other popular animes Like jujutsu kaisen Aot Spy family Edit: now that i have seen aot season 2 i take back aot from list more edit: after seeing season 3 , aot is definitely better than demon slayer
Watching demon slayer makes me feel at home. While i do like complex stories, ideas, and complex characters, I feel demon slayer has that element where you rest on your sofa after a long day work and just chill with your friends with a bowl of ramen noodles. You know the bad guys are going to go down. the story is amazing for me. every time i watch this anime I feel like tanjiro, nezuko, inoske, zenitsu are my friends and I am hanging out with them in the country side while killing some bad demons. it is a great feeling for me and i think this is where demon slayer's strength lies.
As someone who finished the manga, I gotta say, Demon Slayer is one of the best simplistic stories I've ever had the pleasure of reading through. It definitely earns its uniqueness along the way with particular choices that I've never before seen in Shonen, and the characters do have a good level of depth to them (which is impressive consider how simple they generally are). Where I think it delivers the best tho is at giving a great complete story, a full journey, of not just the protagonist but of the world he submerged himself in. It keeps getting better story-wise from here, and you have epic battles yet to come. If UFOtable manage to get all the way to the end with this as an anime adaptation with THIS level of choreography on multi-layered fights with multiple people... holy fucking shit the future is BRIGHT, its SHINING, you think you got your eyes burnt yet? You have yet to stare at the sun itself.
I loved that Gigguk mentioned the team fights. I was impressed with it in mugen Train arc but then those back to back episodes of tengen and the gang inter mixing was amazing. It also made me very confident that I can expect the future team battles to be as dynamic as this ones. I can’t ducking wait!
While we know that most demons will be defeated by the slayers, the Mugen Train arc showed us that the Upper Six are not to be taken lightly. Just when you think one is defeated, it turns out he just punched thru a man sternum. The Hasihra, while powerful, struggle quite a bit to match the Uppers. Before the final slice, I wasn't even sure if they would claim a solid victory. Even after they beat them, there's no promise that the hashira would survive.
I just wish that when Tengen was trying to give his final words, everyone wasn't drawn chibi. I read the manga so I knew, but I would've loved just a few more seconds of "is he going to make it?"
The thing about Demon Slayer is that it's not only a beautifully animated series, it is also filled with simple, but meaninful messages. When I started watching season 1, I was in one of my lowest points. I almost died cause of kidney complications, a doctor raped me while I was in the hospital, then my ex boyfriend left me, and I also was having family issues. My life was in shambles and I was thinking of giving up and almost took my life. A little later in the way of recovering I discovered the series, and heard Giyu say: "Don't grovel like that and give your enemies the chance to kill you. All your doing is making yourself vulnerable... The weak don't get to make choices, all they can do is be relendlesly crashed by the strong... Don't cry, don't succumb to sorrow, this isn't a time of despair, I know it hurts, I understand. There's no way to turn back time. Feel the rage. The powerful, pure rage of not being able to forgive will become your unswerving drive to take action" it was almost as he was saying it to me, and I swear I felt a shift in my heart. Now I live by those words, and three months after of almost dying, I'm finishing my bachelors degree, going to therapy, went back to work, and going to the gym. This show was trully life-changing for me. I devoured the series, identified with Tajiros's heart, and fell in love with so many characters! PD. Honary mention to Rengoku's last words. And sorry for any spelling errors, english is not my first lenguaje :)
It must have been hard for you glad you cross Through this series... It really gave so many meaningful things to listen which made me cry too... The trust between brother and sister 😭 I love it
One of my favorite moments (spoilers) Is when Uzui went full sound ninja mode and counted the beats to Gyutaros attacks. That entire scene was so damn good.
The reason why Ufotable's work stands out is because they have a dedicated digital team that blends their 3d animations with their 2d animations. Their studio has a lack of walls, allowing each department to work closely together on creating visually appealing frames and to build a strong sense of rapport. Before anyone says it, no, they don't have unlimited budget, they get the same amount as any other studios. Ufotable focuses on quality, not quantity. Canipa Effect videos cover a bunch on Ufotable and the interview with Yuichi Terao, Chief of Ufotable's Digital Team on Anime News Network. Also yeah the CEO did pay back the tax evasion scandal. He did it to invest in his animation team and to keep his animation company afloat, while its bad it makes sense.
There are 2 or 3 shows this year which have the ability to surpass or stand equal to the KnY animation or better to say the 6 layering composting +digital fx+ photography + art direction. These shows are Mob Paycho and CSM. And bleach maybe
Does anyone dislike the cartoonish face art for silly or funny moments in Demon Slayer? Fir me, it stands out way too much from the normal Demon Slayer art and gets me off the hype.
I read the whole manga before the show really got picked up and thought, "this was some next-level stuff, can't wait to see it animated" and they really outdid themselves in every area making this one of the best anime ever produced (and I thought that wouldn't happen tbh) I cant wait to see the Infinity Castle Arc with all the upper moons animated
Bro how do you read demon slayer and think it's next level stuff, as a manga it's so mediocre to decent at best. The anime is another level but absolutely nothing stands out in the manga besides the style. SPOILERS Not to mention the ending is boring with a weird Harry Potter ass epilogue lol
@@KingR098 I feel you on the ending, it was kinda wack, plus they killed my favorite dude too, but I felt like the manga was pretty crazy altogether, maybe that's just me tho
@@KingR098 I liked the manga. The themes and story weren't anything super complex, but it was well carried out. Characters were likeable and fights were exciting. Actions had consequences, but not to the point that it makes the story depressing. Akaza's arc really brought on the feels. I wouldn't call it next level, but it's a good manga. In fact, I'd call it the Harry Potter of manga, not the best in the genre, but it serves as a good starting point for newer readers wanting a good read.
@@flamelover1746 i think harry potter is an apt comparison. it's not really anything special, but it does the fundamental stuff well enough to garner universal attention - only for Demon Slayer the visual medium really REALLY elevates it whereas harry potter movies were cool but no one would argue the movies are better than the books lol.
I wasn't 100% on board with this anime until like, episode 13ish when Inosuke joined. at that point, it became another level with the comedy and chemistry between the 3 young slayers. The art and combat was just BRILLIANT. And S2 was ALL GAS no BRAKES. I was for real hooked because there was no stop action for like 7 episodes in a row.
Same! Inosuke was the one that got me to cave in and watch it. Glad I did, he's such a gem. The anime really took off for me once he appeared. Tengen just took it to the next level. They're definitely in my top 20.
My favorite part in Demon Slayer Season 2 was the scene with Tengen and Gyutaro just screaming and slashing at each other towards the end. It just felt like, to them, nothing else mattered except the next slash. Their faces showed how absorbed they were into the fight, and how badly they wanted to win. It was something that simple, and that pure, that would make me look back on Season 2 fondly. That and the whole character dynamic with Uzui and Rengoku, and how Rengoku was essentially a Symbol of Peace like All Might.
Something I'll never forget are coming back every Sunday for another Demon Slayer episode and watching it to come back on Twitter and talk about the sheer hype with everyone around me as if we all just watched a movie, if Ufotable somehow keeps this up then this series without a doubt will end up staying one of my favorites of all time and I wouldn't trade it for anything

To add to your point of some scenes just "taking your breath away", in my opinion the demon slayer's power system being all about breath is by all means a perfect choice ... if maybe only for the anime adaption. On several occasions when the hype is rising and the scenes get intense, that one "*sucks breath in before technique*" will draw in the audience to do the same, as if trying to prepare them for what is to come, drawing you into the scene even further. It is, in a way, managing to extend the reach of a scene beyond video and audio to an almost physical level, you somehow feel what the characters are feeling. And to me, your average weeb who can't help but whisper along with "Ito Shura" or "Bankai" when it happens, that is as perfect as it gets.
I fell in love with...everything in the entertainment arc. Loved Gyutaro and Daki story. Loved Gyutaro especially like, good antagonist writing and the voice acting!

I read the Red Light District arc a few months after season one ended as I was extremely hyped up. I was satisfied with the story, however season 2's animation amplified the story to new levels and, thankfully, I forgot a few key moments and was left in a state of shock / awe. Grateful to be alive to witness such a fantastic piece of work be adapted so lovingly.
There's a reason why Ufotable get this amount of respect. Just look at the work they've done. I still remember well watching the Mugen Train movie with my friends, the chills I got during the final moments of the Rengoku v Akaza fight, the last dying speech of Rengoku and then his final smile of pure joy . Ufotable made Rengoku my most loved anime character with just a 2 hour long movie even after I've watched like 250+ animes. Ohh gosh, THANK YOU UFOTABLE FOR EVERYTHING ❣️ P.S. - I'm a big Fate fan too
I remember shedding a tear when Rengoku died (in theaters). I purposely didn't watch demon slayer (the show) for years (at this point) because I was saving it for (idk). Watching the Mugen train arc again after seeing the build up of the characters reminds me that THE REAL WORLD needs more Kyojuro Rengoku.
This may be a small factor for its appreciation, but the characters are designed so well. Everybody is dripped tf out and looks so cool ESPECIALLY the upper moons.
I think what makes Demon Slayer stand out is that its simplicity just feels right. There is no need to fully immerse yourself in anime mechanics like in Dragonball, One Piece, or Black Clover. Its a story of a young boy who wants to turn his sister back into a human and ends up joining an group of demon fighters.
If you think about it, it actually kinda needs it, breathing techniques are really important in Demon Slayer but the thing about it is that you don't need to know all the names of all the moves
Because Demon Slayer at this point is still at it's infancy,, and it'll die before it became matures. There's sign that the author wanted to expand the "breathing whatchamalit" eventually like how Tanjiro can mix the Sun and water breathes, or latter info-drop about breathing being branch or shit.. but like most demon slayer plot point it'll get discarded and forgotten due to the rushed ending. But if the story keeps going on I won't be surprised if each of the member develops their own unique breathing techniques eventually
@@JeSt4m "It'll die before it matures", my guy the manga is one of the most sold in the planet and it already ended, also Demon Slayer's popularity at this point is self sustaining so it's not gonna die anytime soon
Honestly this anime adaptation is basically what anime was supposed to achieve in the end; breath actual life into the manga, Demon slayer has done it again
It didn't just breath on the manga, it fucking proceeded to ejaculate on the manga and then started adding the most amount of air as possible, and it became a masterpiece
Before, when Mugen Train came out and I watched it, I thought Rengoku's demise was just for shock value, but the development and effect on Tanjiro in season 2 makes that initial shock value abuse worth it.
@@notacannibal4718 which is good, we spent the whole movie seeing praise to rengoku on his skills, just for an uppermoon to pull up on him, and absolutely merk him with no effort.
@@Randomidkmaybeit also gives our characters extra motivation. It has an effect on Tanjiro which lasts all throughout, but also has a profound effect on Inosuke as well which is a neat touch, and a good way to utilise a classic Shonen trope, by executing it well beyond from the start.
To me, the reason Demon Slayer is so well received is because it is so incredibly sincere that it almost hurts. All the Demon Slayers are so damn convicted to their goal of destroying the demons and saving people that it's honestly so heart warming in our day in age where everyone always has an angle they are trying to exploit. The characters care to such a degree that people can't help root for them even while making jokes about the show being "cringe". Demon Slayer is a show that makes you stir in your seat because you can remember a time when you believed in something so deeply and purely as a child does, before we became calloused and disillusioned.
So many series do that they is literally so many series like that which asks the question why is this series that really is not special apart from the good af animation topping the charts and causing so much controversial
I think Demon Slayer's simplicity is what made it explode in popularity. When every shounen anime headed into weirder (JoJo) and more complicated (JJK) plot elements, nobody else was trying a sure fire way to rile up every weeb. Katanas with elemental powers? Why is there not an anime of that yet? It's so obvious and ufotable animating it only made it more popular.
I love how even though it is a clear cut good-guy / bad-guy dynamic, the bad guys are still presented as people, sure, twisted, evil, and broken people, but people never the less. The fact Tanjirou can see this, and accepts it, but he never lets it cloud his judgment, and even if he feels compassion for them, he wont forgive their crimes, THIS, just makes his character all the stronger and more realistic to me (Though to be fair, the guy has something wrong with his head, nobody is that extreme without being atleast a little broken inside, in the traumatic sense).
I do wish there were more enemies that had history with the protagonists that wasn't established in the same episodes they came into conflict. I love when the fights have layers beyond 'demon gonna kill we gotta survive and kill back'; it's a shame we usually only get the full backstories of the demons when they die instead of before the battle. I'm anticipating that the eventual showdown with Muzan (and Akaza) will have much more emotional weight than this arc, not saying that these fights weren't emotional or incredible to look at.
i agree with gigguk...i don't understand why people are like "dEmOn SlAyEr is fOr nOrMiEs"or that it doesn't have a great story ....like i don't think that's the most important thing in art at all ....i think the most omportant thing is how it makes you FEEL after watching to it ...and story, music, animation, etc are all just tools to make us feel something ...but if a show can make me feel entertained without a story or depth then ..it's perfectly fine imo
THIS. This is exactly what I try to tell my friends who think demonslayer is basic or forgettable, or the story is too vanilla or simplistic. It is BEAUTIFUL. It has a beautiful world, amazing animation and incredible character designs but seems to be lacking in every other aspect.
Those animators deserve all the respect they can get, they really busted their asses this season man and What’s even more impressive is how the characters aren’t simple at all, almost all the characters have somewhat detailed appearances and that my favorite character inosuke got the most character development. As someone who (as with 99% of other people here probably) started out with Anime when I was a wee lil' lad with Shounen like Naruto, I must say that Demon Slayer also feels fresh. It doesn't feel like this grand meandering journey through this insanely large world, but like a carefully curated show that moves from set-piece to set-piece. The thing that is definitely going to come around to bite my ass when the next season drops, is that I don't really remember the show for its story - it's the HYPE moments that really sell the show to me, which makes it really hard to remember what drew me in, when looking back a few years later. Hell, for this season I took so long to even REALISE that it was up, that I could binge every episode except for the last 2, and it was just absolutely marvelous. Shout-out to the author for not turning Nezuko into some weird gimmick mascot like Sakura was in Naruto, but actually have her have a ridiculous fighting moment. From what I understand, currently Nezuko is hands down the strongest member of the main squad and I loved when she got to show off how strong she actually is. Hope she doesn't go back to getting the Sakura treatment in the future.
See thats where I find my issues with Demon Slayer. Animation is cool and all but a lacking story just pulls me out. Inosuke is like a saving grace and some others but overall I just find this lacking with a hidden potential that just won't get touched and its sad to me cause I can see so much better in it.
@@zenbuantanosei8599 how is that? the story revolves around the bijuu and doujutsu, representing naruto and sasuke, how does sakura have any relevance in it?
@@Devilelf i used to think the same way until i watched mha funnily enough, i think that not everything has to be a super deep story to still have narrative and emotional value, and if the story still has it without the depth then i don’t see the problem. ds manga i was kinda sad about rengoku’s death, in ds anime i was distraught and cried literally 4 times split between 4 episodes, if the animation and simple beauty of the series can make me feel these feelings without the narrative mastery of a show like hxh i still think it’s still a good show. then again maybe i’m just a pussy whose way into art and animation lol
".. It doesn't feel like this grand meandering journey through this insanely large world, .." - read, Hunter x Hunter (which, is STILL my all-time fave anime).
The sheer cathartic release they gave the audience with that double beheading is not only a masterclass in animation, but directing and writing, too. The plot of the show might be simplistic, but the execution of that story is anything but.
The simplicity is what makes it so lovable, it doesn’t need some 10D plot, it doesn’t need to be complex and impossible to understand, because overall, they executed the plot in a way that makes it great
No, S2 is utter shit, 11 episodes of constant fighting, and whenever it should be over, it aint. It is just cash grab poor writing series with great effects. S1 was way better.
I used to love anime and then stopped watching because nothing really caught my eye. Until Demon Slayer came along. It absolutely captured me from episode one. It's so well balanced. You feel for every character, the story is amazing, and what caught me most: There's actually something at stake. Hashira aren't invincible, the threat is real, and the main characters HAVE to improve and get stronger. It's makes you laugh, it makes you cry, and it makes your jaw drop with how beautifully it's animated. It deserves all the hype and praise it's getting. Ufotable outdid themselves and dragged me right back into enjoying anime again.
Perfectly said 😎💚❤ (only thing I would have said aswell is it has the best 1v1 Fight I've ever seen in anything... Ep 19 since I'm watching the dub and s2 might even top it)
I think what makes demon slayer work is that the story is, very easy to follow and digest with the seasons being broken up. It gives the viewers amount time to digest and anticipate.
Based on my analysis of the manga, I have concluded that Demon Slayer does not meet the expectations generated by its popularity. While it is unrealistic to expect perfection from all anime series, Demon Slayer exhibits significant shortcomings in fundamental storytelling elements. It is questionable whether the Mugen Train arc would have achieved the same level of acclaim if it were animated by Studio Deen and JC Staff, rather than Ufotable. I suggest that you consider broadening your anime repertoire, as your strong affinity for Demon Slayer may be limiting your exposure to other series that could provide a more comprehensive understanding of the genre. Engaging with a diverse range of anime would enable a more informed evaluation of Demon Slayer's relative quality.
One thing I really appreciate about Demon Slayer is how it makes every big fight genuinely feel like a desperate struggle for the heroes. The upper rank demons are way stronger individually, and the only chance the humans have is through teamwork and pushing themselves to the absolute limit. Plus there's almost always a major sacrifice made by someone to win, whether it's their life or just being horribly injured/maimed.
Exactly. DS doesn´t do anything special, but everything it does do is executed perfectly. And the animation helps a lot of course. I can´t wait to see what the final arc will look like
Uzui Tengen lives rent free in my head. His fighting style is gold and the high level of the anime's graphics complements it. I just wish we saw more sound breathing forms.

There's nothing wrong with disliking a show because its not for everyone, nothing ever is but there is no one more annoying or insufferable than someone who constantly talks about how they dislike something popular. They think they need to open everyone else's minds shoving their opinion down the throats of the people who do like it and convince everyone they're right. Demon slayer is an amazing example of this because it has reached a level of popularity that no other anime ever has and the words of people who dislike it fall on deaf ears.
The worst part is you ask those same people what their favorite show or thing is and it’s something a normal person would consider absolute trash. They take pride in their trashness.

@@loreleimonn3220 I am aware that this video is two years old, but I feel compelled to address the ongoing overrating of this show. In my opinion, it lacks writing quality, and I urge viewers to explore other series that demonstrate superior storytelling. While the animation may be impressive, it cannot compensate for the show's narrative shortcomings. I have read the manga series and was underwhelmed by its quality, failing to understand the hype surrounding it. The show's lore relies heavily on familiar tropes, giving the impression that a child wrote it. I question whether you have watched other anime series, as your response suggests a defensive bias towards this show.
I was like, "nah, how good can season 2 be." Then I finished the 2nd from the last episode. If I were to imagine how I looked, probably like a deer in headlights. Found my self staring blankly deep in thought as the credits rolled. I was speechless. My thoughts now, dont sleep on Demon Slayer, S2, Entertainment Arc. It is a masterclass of Anime. The story telling, the pacing, animation and stakes being at its absolute highest. It was level of its own. With that said, Id say, undoubtably, the best anime, Ive ever watched.
sometimes a story doesn't even need to be deep to be good, demon slayer is just a good story with some good characters, and amazing fights, the simplest stories can often be the best ones
Garnt's take on anime team battles at 5:00 was exactly what I was thinking while watching the series. There are times on usual anime team battles where I'd get bored because fights are separated and usually a battle between characters needs to be finished before it moves on to the other battle and this might take 1-3 episodes each which becomes a repetitive pattern and you'd lose interest wanting to get over to the main fight already.
I think the closest thing to an actual team fight in an anime other than this one that I've seen in recent memory is the final match of the Regiment du Cuisine in Shokugeki no Souma.
Like holy heck this season really gave me insight into what these characters feel during battle. i felt the stakes. I felt their emotions. I really feel like I understood how bleak their situation was. How devastating these fights can be. It wasn't just another shonoun fight that ends and that's that. Even when it ended, it really didn't. the characters still had more to do, and they never knew whether they really had won until daybreak. For one brief moment, when Tanjiro was crying and asking if they'd won, and Tengen was screaming at him to run, I felt my whole soul quiver. I'm not exaggerating when I say how much this season impacted me, and felt as though even if they are the main characters, and they have plot armor regardless, they feel real, the stakes feel real, and the consequences feel real. Ufotable you really are a genius.
I love how this show really pays attention to how exhaustion works, sometimes when i see an anime they would get severly wounded and then just get up and get a new power and loose all the previous exhaustion from before.
honestly kny is such a breath of fresh air. no supernatural strength, we get to see how the characters train themselves to death. the outcomes are soo worth it.
@@vaguewint technically it’s supernatural. Humans can achieve higher highs, but if they lose a limb, not train enough or even lose focus they get majorly fucked up fighting
@@cypher7031 Yea they kinda create sonic booms when accelerating, get slammed through walls and still get up, and jump as high as a 10 story building, the strength is definitely supernatural. I used to think that no animation will top the final fight of Heaven’s Feel, and then it was topped in Demon Slayer by Ufotable themselves. What absolute legends.
I think choreography wise I would still go for Fate Heaven's Feel. (fvckin Saber Alter vs Rider is still godly) In the visual effects department and fast paced fight KnY takes it.
I agree, the simplicity is key and the animation is glorious. I've been watching anime for 29 years and I've never seen anything like the standard we got in the second part of the arc.
Simplicity is stupid. Go watch My Hero academia, eveything in anime today is simple - beautifull effects + constant fighiting. Every single show. Demon Slayer could have been a great series with S1, but S2 ruined it. It is made for kids.

@@stevenmartin164 Same feeling with the manga, I was trying to sleep but I was on the Infinity castle arc. it was like 3 am and I just couldn't put it down until I finished it.
I will say too, the minor tweaks to showcase the anime is well designed. In the manga, Tengen jumps in front of Tanjiro and it's pretty much just a shove and a "Tanjiro, jump and kill him." But in the anime, Tengen has a MOMENT to showcase his skills and give the animators room to show their skills. When I was waiting for this fight from the manga I was hopeful. My expectations were rolled up into a ball and shot out of a cannon, into outer space. P.S - Can we get my boys over in Tokyo Revengers some insane animations pls pls pls
Ufotable's use of both 2D and 3D animation is top tier. It's pretty easy to screw up adding 3D elements to a 2D show, as it typically sticks out like a sore thumb. Yet for this, the 3D effects of the abilities add to the scene rather than detract, giving each attack more weight. Don't get me wrong, 2D animation is great. But there's a lot 3D has to offer, and it seems like Ufotable is pushing the boundaries of what animation can look like.
What i like the most about demon slayer's animation is the fact that they don't cut corners, or uses cheap tricks to save money and effort. The way they animated Daki's ribbons is my favorite
limited animation due to overwork, crunch, budget limitations and various more compromises are "cheap tricks" apparently you have no respect for the artists behind these works.
Yep, Ufotable gives them bonus based on how good the end result is and they always pick a limited number of projects to work on and it will always be something they can use their animation style to the fullest. The one currently killing their workers is MAPPA.
It's simple but so meaningful at the same time. It gives you more than pov (for demons and humans) but instead of forgiving and forgetting it delivers justice. Heartwarming and unique series that what Demon Slayer is.
I think Demon Slayer Entertainment Arc is the first anime that actually was so HYPED and intense that I was standing and screaming omfg most of the episodes! It was that insane!
Concur'd about the simplicity. But one other thing I like about Demon Slayer is that when it comes to plot, it does as much as it needs to. It's so easy to have a villain-of-the-week format full of quirky minibosses. Just, like... have the Hashira kill each demon, one by one, till they get to the big bad. But Demon Slayer... doesn't do that. By episode 15, we're fighting a member of the quirky miniboss squad. By episode 32, fully _half_ the quirky miniboss squad is dead, and we got a single climactic showdown with one of them that's easily worth six 1v1s. The show doesn't waste its time... or at least, it knows how to use its time SO well.
To be fair, a large reason for that is because it was almost gonna get axed multiple times and in the long run it created some legitimate issues with the plot and pacing by the end. But I do also agree.
@@TenkDDyeah, I can see it. Stuff like Nezuko’s blood demon art and ESPECIALLY the Hinokami Kagura had sort of a plotkai vibe. Still. To a dood that grew up on Bleach, this is a nice change of pace lol
@@QuantumLex SE looking at this comment in their sponsored video like motherfucker but to be fair Kingdom hearts was simple before now it isn't for sure
Something can be simple and still have deep themes. I would argue that is Demon Slayer in a nutshell. The reason so many people love it is because the themes ARE deep, but delivered in a simple, easy to digest way. Rengoku exemplifies the path of a hero, a symbol of human willpower, giving it his all even if it means death. Uzui fights, loses limbs, to protect the younger slayers and those that he loves. Tanjiro fights to help his sister, to right a wrong that he had no control over. Zenitsu trying to live up to his grandpa’s expectations, trying not to cower in the face of fear. Inosuke, wanting to be the best, even though he never had a fair shot at proper training. Wanting revenge on someone who spoiled his young life for him. At some point, ALL of us deal with these types of themes, even if it is not in the exact same way. That is why people love Demon Slayer, even if they don’t know it.
None of what you wrote come remotely close to deep. Literally nothing but surface level basic analysis, similar to how every character in demon slayer is one dimensional and boring
@@Mirristal how would something transcending time make it deep? Sorry for not finding helping people and anxiety that magically cured when you sleep deep themes bro
one of the things that drew me towards demon slayer was its simplicity, there's no over the top power system or anything like that, just fun characters and villians with an enjoyable plot and amazing fights
Even though the storyline is simple but when it comes to fighting the big villain,it has not only the beautiful animation but the voice actors along with the music, sounds and the tensions always brings out all the emotions in that particular fights which makes us really engrossed in that scene, i think that demon slayer's ability to make us feel the heavy stake of every fight is the reason demon slayer is top tier and this was not or hasnt been replicated by any anime yet
Rohan is 100% correct. The story is generic. And I do believe the only thing keeping this show as popular as it is, is the animation and SFX alone. Everything else is pretty mediocre and generic.
I kept wondering when I was watching Season 2, "How are they topping themselves every episode?" and then they kept doing it. I'm trying though to think, god if its THIS good now, I can only imagine where they are going to go from here. I'm not a manga reader but I'm assuming that bigger and better fights are coming, and I just don't know how Ufotable can deliver a higher and higher standard as time goes on. How? How do they keep raising the bar on themselves and THEN keep topping it? Somebody better pay each and every artist at Ufotable like double, no quadruple what they already earn! Hell, I know with how the anime industry is plagued with horrible working conditions and crap pay, we owe it to Ufotable to ensure that they are well compensated. I dont know how we do that, but anime fans the world over really need to raise our voices to ensure actual change in the industry.
Bro as a manga reader, It will get so damn good. Just thinking about the future makes me so hyped and feel like I'm about to have a seizure and my whole body is going to explode. No, seriously, I might have to call an ambulance while watching the last season.
I'm both afraid and exciting at the same time for what's coming. Yes, bigger and better fight are coming butI don't know how Ufotable gonna surpass themselves, The rest of the show demands more complicated animation imo
I don't mean this lightly when I say that Episode 10 of the Entertainment District Arc is my favorite episode of anything ever. The animation, The voicework, the hype, everything about it was phenomenal and it, and the entire series, deserves the attention and praise it's been receiving. And the craziest part? There are even bigger fights ahead. Thank you Gigguk for discussing this as clearly and accurately as possible, and bravo UFOtable for creating the most astonishing animation I've ever seen.
What makes Demon Slayer sooo great in my opinion is that the story is pretty straight forward and it’s not no complex complicated figure it out on your own anime. And I love that you added HxH in it to show pple how some of the things they do with HxH doesn’t really make sense

Ufotable really achieved godly status with this season. Everything was so beautiful. The environment, the characters, the battle scenes, the music, literally everything. U can damn near screenshot any section of the battle scenes nd it looks like a masterpiece. I was baffled from start to finish.
You forgot to say that they use one of the best songs and sounds at fighting, dying or any. Its so dramatic you just cant take eyes off, like when Tanjirou was falling and Zenitsu wanted to grab him and episode done. People who needed wait till next ep prob asked WHYYYYYY STOP NOW
I think people including myself love it so much cause Tanjiro is such a deeply kind and open protagonist - theres no macho bullshit or anything like that he's so genuine and compassionate and I definitely needed that when I found the anime and I think a lot of people needed that in the last few years. He's gone thru a lot but it seems to have just made him more determined and kind and I found that a great comfort to watch in the last few years. Plus the storylines and other characters are really amazing and the art defines itself enough to be interesting but not jarring - the last shonen I remember talked about this much even outside anime circles was attack on titan and thats pretty dire mood wise but demon slayer is so just lovely in a lot of moments that you feel lighter after watching it not like haggard 😅
Attack on titan already has a war theme. And when you compare it with demon slayer. Attack on titan loses with the main theme. Cause everyone is so fed up with wars especially the wars between humans. It was an interesting anime cause you didnt know titans were actually human. And you kept being curious whats gonna happen next. But after the sessions you realise this is not a titans vs humans. This is a war between humans. And thats what makes it less interesting. I mean I can get the deep meaning in every scene but. Everytime I watch AOT I feel so depressed and leaving no curiousity behind (talking about the Last session).
@@larissa4608 noone is fed up with wars cause aot is the 4th most popular series(not only anime) in the world right know. Also what made aot interesting was not the humans vs titans but instead it was the plot and the mystery behind titans. In conclusion your opinion is way off the mark.(Side note:I love demon slayer and im not comparing, just saying facts)
Naruto, Mob, Asta, Luffy. I wonder if they are all macho. Well even if they are at least they aren't as 1 dimensional and boring as tanjiro is. And they change throughout the series. Maybe slightly, but they do.
@@etlanime First I’m not saying I don’t like other shonen leads this is just why I think demon slayer might hit different for some people. I can’t really give an opinion for all those characters but for Asta I find him a less relatable than Tanjiro cause his goals are more world specific like I don’t aspire to be the wizard king (or equivalent high up role in the state) 😅 whereas tanjiro is trying to help his sister and protect people which is a goal that is a lot more relatable at least to me as a sister. I would also say that some of the basic personality traits between a lot of these characters are extremely similar and kinda basic to make it easy to like them and easy to put yourself in their shoes.
Though demon slayer's story is just like any other shonen anime, I like that the writer kept it short, easy to follow, charming, and entertaining and I just missed watching an anime that isn't so complicated and one that has an ending. Then ufotable just made it a hundred percent better with the animation. Definitely one of best anime out there.
The story isn't like any other Shonen anime tho? I honestly doubt the main factors of Demon Slayer's popularity is the animation and its simplicity. It'd be arguably easy to replicate Demon slayer's success if the main factors in its formula for success is a usual shonen story, simplicity, and great animation.
@@paytonogallagher3284 I mean what makes it great isn't limited to what I just said, I just pointed out the main reasons why I think it was able to penetrate the market a lot easier compared to series that took the shonen formula and made it unique with complicated story and nth amount of arcs to go through before it ends. But of course that's only my opinion.
@@paytonogallagher3284 it kinda is. There is a main villain with his underlings, mc trains, barely beats enemy, trains again, fights a stronger enemy gets powerup in fight, fight another stronger enemy, rinse and repeat
As much as I think that the story and the characters are as mediocre and generic as they could possibly get, I have a weird feeling of appreciation towards Demon Slayer. Because it knows what it is and doesn't try to be, or worse, pretend like it's more than that. It has cool ass fights, and Ufotable's production quality to turn these cool ass fights into cinematographic art. And as we can see, it doesn't even need more to be a damn fun show to watch. Not everything needs genius 7D chess plot, characters or world building, sometimes it's enough if the show just awakens that lost kid in us who just wants to have some dumb fun without giving it too much thought. And Demon Slayer does that unbeliveably well.
I wouldnt go as far as calling them mediocre. Yes they are not top notch, but they all are compelling and solid, and by no means can something mediocre be compelling imo or solid.
@@MrXav94 maybe if they go easy with the plot armor for the main 3. or at least find better ways for explaining why thy survive things they shouldn't t survive
@@MrXav94 You're not wrong, maybe it's our different definitions of mediocre. My point is, even if the writing of the show was capable of carrying it on it's back, without the really well done fights and production I heavily doubt it could have stood out amongst the countless forgettable shounen anime. It'd have just been another "It was fine, I guess" show in an insanely oversaturated genre, with some very quickly passing relevancy and no staying power whatsoever. This kinda goes back to "I appreciate it, because it knows what it is". It doesn't have a top notch writing because it only needs it as a foundation for what it's genuinely good at. And yeah, I definitely give you that, the writing, despite all of it's shortcomings, serves as a solid foundation. Shounen plot 101 with shounen characters 101. The problem of most generic shounen anime which get forgotten as quickly as they come, is not that they wouldn't have a solid enough foundation but that they lack a real identity which'd make them stand out. What became Demon Slayer's main identity is it's insane fights and production and without them I feel like the show would just be another seasonal anime which gets it's 5 minutes of quick spotlight every time it airs, and would be forgotten right after.

Yea there's so many good movies without that much depth that people idealize yet so much shonen haters for the same reason.
There will be characters with deep stories in Demon Slayer in the next seasons.
@@runokati3668 ??? Who? Akazaka?
Hero Aca has something similar going on. There isn't a single character development moment in that show that I don't like.

And now start beating me up because Imo, demon slayer is still just good nothing more 7.5/10
It's mid😜
I agree
Demon Slayer's strength is in its simplicity. There's no one shoving some philosophy down your throat or anyone with some clearly overcomplicated plan. You just have relatable, fun characters (Both heroes and villains), a pretty clear power system and a solid plot.
I read the manga after season 1, loved it and yet, the anime surprises m over and over again, deepening that love
it does it so right and knows exactly what it is. demon slayer KNOWS that it’s very simple that why it exceeded
@Yk On NOW THAT IS WHAT I CALL A GENUINE CRITICISM . THANKS BRO
So... We are starting to do this now, huh.
C'mon...

@@mc_3232 no dude one guy's writing fucking sucked man. It's tragic.
Agreed, Gyuu and Daki are far and away the best antagonists and that is a large part of why S2 has been the best part of the series.
Why do people forget about the effing orchestra of this anime - the music in this anime is one of the best I have ever heard. And this is coming from a music tech engineer. It’s so good in every detail.
Yes! The music is fucking amazing too. That's what makes those jump out of your seat screaming moments. If it had a paint by numbers score it wouldn't work.
the song from episode 19 gives me chills EVERY TIME
Go shiina
Fucking finally, that shit is so underrated istg, just the way shots are placed makes the scene so much more beautiful
Shows like Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer are rarities, and honestly I wish a lot of our old favorite shows would get the same treatment with great animation and no filler

I mean OPM S1 DID have good animation. It's why S2 felt lacking and lost popularity because S2 did not. People loved S1's animation a lot.
@@RuneKatashima definitely. There were also some impressive moments in S2, but it generally fell short of some of the hype and detail that S1 left behind.
OPM Season 1 animation is top tier quality, people got bummed when s2 came out because s1 was THAT good
The animators really make the most of the Taisho-era setting, too. It's pure art.
Ohh my god!I too had this same thought that if One Punch Man was animated by Ufotable wouldnt it have been so much better?
Yeah just like Doom you don't need multipel way to beat a stage you just need one way the fun way
What's great about this is that the simplicity of the anime made a huge room for animation production, which made a huge compensation for storytelling. It's not best in the story, lore, and plot, but it makes up for a great eye feast and entertainment.
Eh, I personally don’t see it being a classic because of its story. Once it fixes some stuff then maybe.
100% true! Not every series needs to be so freaking complex and deep that needs a 5-page essay every episode to understand what's happening just to be considered "yep, this anime is good". The animation and music compensated for the simple, straightforward story *reaaal* hard.
i mean its okayish but all time great? dbz, naruto, one piece, gintama, jojo, hxh, yu yu hakusho in front of these ds is just like just .. trash

I mean we saw Nezuko heal Inosuke already so there was no point in keeping that mystery up anymore.

Exactly
The first fucking demon slayer we are shown is controversial that it flips my mind.
I think Demon Slayer's simplicity is what made it explode in popularity. When every shounen anime headed into weirder (JoJo) and more complicated (JJK) plot elements, nobody else was trying a sure fire way to rile up every weeb. Katanas with elemental powers?

Inosuke is like a saving grace and some others but overall I just find this lacking with a hidden potential that just won't get touched and its sad to me cause I can see so much better in it.

the easy story is just poor writing lol

Yet for this, the 3D effects of the abilities add to the scene rather than detract, giving each attack more weight. Don't get me wrong, 2D animation is great. I almost have a breakdown when Inosuke got stabbed, shit was intense
Demon Slayer is Simplicity done right
There's no complex KH story telling. It's simple and captivating
One could argue that unlike KH, Demon Slayer's story is Simple and Clean.

@@QuantumLex i hate you (kidding)
this anime lives in my heart forever
@@judehaylesa you’re not too sharp. If a theme transcends time it is deep by nature. Almost all of these themes transcend time
@@Mirristal how would something transcending time make it deep?

Props to Ufotable for taking risks in picking up this mid ass storyline anime! Goated studio in my opinion
Episode 9 and 10 have got to be some of the best episodes of anime, ever.
I'll second that
Rohan is 100% correct. The story is generic. And I do believe the only thing keeping this show as popular as it is, is the animation and SFX alone. Everything else is pretty mediocre and generic.
@@Mk2kRaven Chad opinion. Hard to find the people who like DS, but don’t put it on a pedestal.
It's all animation, that's all there is
Doesn’t matter if the story is ok the animation has me stuck like glue
I think the entertainment district was my favorite. The rest is good just not as good as the entertainment district in my opinion.
I'm both afraid and exciting at the same time for what's coming. Yes, bigger and better fight are coming butI don't know how Ufotable gonna surpass themselves, The rest of the show demands more complicated animation imo
We’ll just say, if these two seasons are anything to go by, you can expect the remaining arcs to look just as incredible, if not, somehow even better.
glad you enjoyed it, its pretty much downhill from here
I don't mean this lightly when I say that Episode 10 of the Entertainment District Arc is my favorite episode of anything ever.
Seriously i can't wait to see the infinity castle arc getting animated!
You just explained it perfectly… the simplicity in the story is what makes it so beautiful and real and relatable emotionally
Eh its kinda boring
What makes Demon Slayer sooo great in my opinion is that the story is pretty straight forward and it’s not no complex complicated figure it out on your own anime. And I love that you added HxH in it to show pple how some of the things they do with HxH doesn’t really make sense
We thought we were spoiled by Arcane's insane graphics... and then Entertainment District Arc happened.
Btw, that's one sponsor message I can really get behind!
We are in a new era of high quality production animation
Respect Arcane wtf?
goddamit, first spiderverse, then demon slayer, then arcane, then demon slayer again
what a time to be animation fan
@@matheussanthiago9685 you forgot about the mitchels VS machines, Sony studios just like spiderverse and completely different artstyle but so many good touches and small details that set it apart.

Arcane just looked like a video game to me. I don’t see how it is more impressive than what Pixar has been releasing for years. Forgive me, but I just do not get the hype with Arcane, it was pretty boring and not anymore impressive than newer video games. I found Into the Spiderverse much more impressive.
It's cool seeing how the trash taste conversations are directly influencing the scripts. They had a long conversation about how saying something is mid is perceived as worse than saying it's bad, and now it made it into the intro.
It's still mid story wise

@@unknowntemptations1013 bro just search it up in the internet. Demon slayer is the top 1 anime rn. Im just explaining why aot is not the 1st.
Agree. The simplicity is perfect for casual non-anime watchers
Me watching haters who are fans of anime series with a billion episodes and 5 adaptations calling Demon Slayer trash >_>
@@daymi7300 Yeah, it is plot armor and it is not just this show that give plot armors to their main cast.
@@l3ossTharatep almost every show has plot armor but they always have good explanations if the story is good.
