Hey, Welcome to the OFD Watch Channel. My name is Aron Dunlap, and I’m nuts about watches. What’s OFD you ask? Well, one of my best friends coined this term. It stands for “Only F@#*ing Dunlap” (sorry kids!!) due to some of the ridiculous things I can come up with, including watch collecting.
I have loved watches for years, but in the last few years really got into the collecting and studying aspect. I mainly buy Seiko and Orient watches, but I love everything out there!! (Omega, Oris, Rolex, Squale, Timex, Casio, Steinhart….and on and on and on)
Please like and Subscribe, Thank you!!
I Love Blu Shark Straps, best NATO straps I have found. Check ‘em out.

Mr. Dunlap, good video. I have had a couple Seiko in my lifetime, but now I'm old and retired on a limited income and I thought just for the fun of it I would start buying watches and collecting them somewhat like you do. I am saving this video into my archives because looking at your collection gives me good ideas for what to buy in the future. Nothing high-end just an interesting collection. Thanx
Mark Walters Thanks to you Mark for watching and your kind comments! I hope you enjoy these types of watches as much as I do. Cheers :)
that last citizen ny0040 was my favorite
Well chosen logical and balanced collection. It's making me think again about my own collection strategy. Great video!
Very nice. I just ordered the skx011j I think they will appreciate in value with time and they look great.
Great collection. Thanks for sharing.
What a nice collection aron! Dive watch is for people with a sensible, durable, functional yet stylish needs for a watch in one package. I own the citizen ny0040 and i love it really much. Great review, keep up the good work man!
Thanks So Much Dimas!! Have a good one; )
Fantastic collection, all affordable bur still all good quality thanks for sharing 😊
Love the Seiko from the early 80s, that's a piece to cherish forever.
Thank you. It's something I'll pass down, and hopefully it will stay in the family, cherished. I appreciate the comment!
+Aron Dunlap yessir, dive watches are also my favorite type of watch, cheers
Love the collection. Nice to see affordable watches that I can buy. Had no idea they had diver watches rated for 1000 meters. Now I want one.
rave16912007 Hey, thank you! So much stuff out there to enjoy. Thanks for tuning in :)
Cheers Aron, great vid! You got me into the skx011j so I purchased one and it gets PLENTY wrist-time! I didn’t want the 009/007 and I love the orange ! Thanks!
Thanks Andy!! Love the 011j1. Still have mine on a factory jubilee 😁👌👍 Take care and stay healthy my friend!
Amazing collection, Aron. It's nice to see you contribute so much to the Japanese exports. I love the story about your 1982 Pepsi Seiko. If you don't mind I will mention this great video in my next video, people need to see your collection. Best regards, Anders
Thanks Anders. No problem! Cheers buddy!
I LOVE that blue Mako !!
I do too. Great watch. Thanks!
A very pleasing collection you have there Aron.
+Station Plaza Thanks! ! It's grown a little bit since this video. Maybe a follow up is in order 😊
Beautiful collection of divers mate👌
excellent collection sir. 👍
Just happened across your videos and subscribed I like your kinda of laidback regular guy presentation style. I also love diver watches! I was going to pick up a turtle but now that the baby/mini turtles will be debuting in 2018 I am holding off, although I like the turtle look and could pull it off on my 7 inch wrist I want to wait and see what new version looks like. hopefully you will get a review comparison in on this much anticipated watch!
Great video! I LOVE them all!!!
Love the orange face watch , and the white face yeti, thanks Shane uk 🇬🇧
I have an SKA identical to yours. I love mine so much I wear it often and it holds at 6 month charge. I heard once if it won’t charge fully, drop a new Panasonic battery in it and you will be good to go. Even though they are kinetic you still rarely have to change a battery. I’m told the best batteries are the Panasonic and they run about $13.00
Very nice collection and presentation. I will be back for more.
Thanks Mike! I really appreciate it. Glad you found the channel ; -)
Really nice collection, all your watches are really nice.
Hey aron, nice collection bro, have you ever tried Deep blue watches, check it out, very cool and lots of lume..great video aron, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing! Great collection!
Thank you Dave!!
Great collection Aron. I am down to one Orient and one Deep Blue among some others you did not mention. I need to add a Seiko and you gave me some good ideas. Thanks.
Hey, thanks Mark!! Love Orient. Great Value to dollar ratio with these. Deep Blue builds quality pieces at a very reasonable price and should not be overlooked. Thanks for watching and your kind comments. Have a good one!
thank you for a great vid on your diver watches
Truly a beautiful collection!
Thank you sir, very much appreciated!
Nice collection and video, thanks for showing them. The way that you moved the watches during the video was fine. It was pretty much the only way to show us all sides of the watch. Is the band that is on the Deep Blue an AlphaShark or the regular BlueShark?
Thanks! Very much appreciate the comment. Good catch, that is indeed the Alpha from BluShark. Works really good on the big Deep Blue. Have a good one!
I have just found your channel and have subscribed. I have a similar diver collection to yours and as I can't afford Swiss divers I am very happy.
robbiecox Thanks so much Robbie, very much appreciated! !
A fab collection. Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks Manish!!
Very nice collection. I like it!
Thanks!
Great collection and video Aron. Useful to view in several years time against your (then) current collection. I have a fair idea on the watches you will retain. ;-)
Thanks Brian. I totally agree!
Wow. That's a lot of divers. Very cool collection!
Peter Drysdale Thanks Peter. I have a diver watch obsession lol!
Hi
I have just bought a all original Seiko 7548-7000 from Japan.
I wanted a nice seiko quartz and your video convinced me.
I think a vintage seiko divers have more character than newer versions.
Nice, congrats!! The 7548 is s battery operated version of the 6309 automatic movement by my understanding, all metal quartz movement. Mine has been dead on since I bought it way back then. Everything else in the collection could go away, and I'd be happy with just that watch. Thanks for watching! !
Nice collection Aron! I'm purging 4 watches from my mechanical collection at the moment. My digital collection is growing faster than the speed of sound though ;)
Hey Harry, thanks! There is so much neat technology out there, I'm not surprised you are growing your digital collection. Very cool. Have a good one!
OFD!!! I would just like to confess if my country sold all these brands I'm afraid our collection would almost be the same lol thanks for sharing. The yeti still going strong!! have you tried the oyster band off the 019 tuna it gives the silver shroud a more filled out look thanks again.
Thanks Mike! I have not tried the metal bracelet yet. I'm not that into bracelet as you can see, but I agree it does even out the size of the case. Thanks for watching buddy!
Well I have to comment. Your Seiko's, Orients and Deep Blue are amazing, It's not hard to see your love for your watches by the way you care for them,. Your straps are amazing. I need to do a state of the collection of my Divers I to love the Nato Straps. Shout I love all the Straps. Strapcode has a Tial Blue kinda Bond looking strap I am looking at. It's gorgeous however 40 bucks shoot me. Great video and as always thanks for sharing so many of your precious Jewels..They are amazing.
I am very honored to see your collections.
Thank you so much. I very much appreciate that. Thanks for watching!
nice review and watches keep up the good work.
Thank you Nick. Very much appreciated!
I'm looking forward to the review of your next Vostok. Thanks for the videos.
me too!! :)
very nice collection ! subscribed
Thank you Adam. Very much appreciated. Have a good one! ! ;-)
great collection!
Arnold delos Santos Thanks Arnold! !
As soon as I saw your Seiko 7548 in immaculate condition, I clicked the thumbs up button.
I don't care if its crystal was replaced. Great video!!
Thanks so much Mark. It means a lot. That watch has been with me most of my life.
Nice modest collection, i really like it. The smart man's watch collection: Seikos, Orients, Vostok. What else? Maybe a Steinhart.
Cheers,
Giorgio
Giorgio Versace I had a ocean one gmt, I miss it! Thanks for your kind comments. Cheers
Hi Aron! Great collection there. For your next state of the collection, do a lume shot of all watches?
p.s: That "Yeti" moniker is superb, nice to hear it again :D
Your right, lume shot would have capped it off. Thanks for watching, and yes, I love the "Yeti" moniker also!!
Defiantly some lovely watches there buddy, I have started collecting late in life, at 54, my collection will be slow in the making due to only working part time following a heart attack 16 months ago so have limited funds and a few hobbies, I really want to try and get a orange dial seiko next , love the looks of that ,, have recently bought the skx009 Pepsi j model ,,, but if I’m honest theres a lot on my list ,, other than Rolex ,, never want one of those ,, but that’s another story take care buddy and slowly getting through your videos night by night cheers shane England 🇬🇧 uk
Cheers, and here's to your health man!! I'm 48, so not too far behind ya. Enjoy, slow growth is the best. Buy what you enjoy, regardless of what any of us UA-cam poets😂 have to say. Stay healthy, and enjoy the hobby without letting it burden you 😎👍👊
I liked your video. Nice watches that anyone could have if they wanted.
I have the same Vostok. Good review 👍
Nice review ...thanks
Art Silk Thanks for watching Art!
where do you get your dive watches from
justin miller Amazon, eBay, mfg's as well as online watch store. I try to shop around. Hopefully this helps. Have a good one Justin!
Very nice collection! Love the orange SKX😊
Thanks, me too! !
Underfighter73 I got me one and I love!
Excellent state of the collection video.
Thank you Nav. Very much appreciated.
Very good job
Hi great video! I cant seem to find the seiko u stated was the "sbdq003"?? Please help id like to locate one if possible!
They seem very rare. I think i was lucky finding this model. I bought used on Ebay out of Tokyo back then. Ive looked numerous times since with no luck. Good luck!!
@@OFD oh thnx, i just found one on ebay for like 450$ amazing buy for 106$!! I wish i had one.
the seikos are nice, citizen too
I subscribe ,I collect mostly seiko dive watches automatic. Also I like the guitar on your Backround.
Thank you Richard. I love Seiko divers. I love to play around on my guitars also. Thanks for watching and subscribing, more to come;)
That’s a nice looking 12-string in the background. Which brand and model is it and how does it sound?
It's s Fender I bought back in the late '80s. Sounds great, but it needs a re-string which I'm embarrassed to say it way over due!! Thanks for watching!!
Aron Dunlap-OFD Watch Channel thanks for the reply! :-)
new sub..I enjoyed the video.
I have several of those watches in my rotation..
I think the blue dial of the mako is the most intense and beautiful blue dial on the market bar none..
the vostock is truly the ak-47 of the watch world..and like you stated a great value..
in my honest opinion the watch in your collection that offers the greatest bang for buck is the casio mdv-106 duro marlin .
that watch is my daily beater.
I enjoy it so much I purchased a second one just to have one it better condition then my daily wearer..and for $40.00 how can you go wrong.
I regret that casio killed the other models..the mdv-105 in various color dials was a beautiful watch..I'm trying to locate both a red dial and blue dial version .not having much luck..
in closing. enjoyed the video and ty for the time you put in
Thank you very much. I love my Casio Marlin, and the blue dial on the Mako is truly stunning. Thank you for subscribing!
Wow beautiful collection. Orange Skx is beautiful and that ak47 haha
😎👍👍
hey how's the lume on the Vostok watch?
The lume is Decent. The hands on mine glow faintly through the night. The hour indicators die off pretty quickly.
Hey man did you ever check out the citizen BM8180-03E Eco-Drive? Nice looking watch, just wondering if you could do review
Timmer Klotz Good looking field watch. I have not checked that one out yet. I'll have to keep it in mind! Thank you :)
Where did you buy the seiko for $109?
Ken Peck Hey Ken! It was a late night ebay pick up straight out of Tokyo. Can't remember the seller, but amazing bargain. Thanks for tuning in :)
The only watch I would legitimately call a "Beater" (I hate that title haha).. Would undoubtedly be a G-shock..
Very nice collection by the way..
Hi there, may I know where do you order your watch?I'm hesitating to buy it online because I don't know any trustable sellers or websites.
JoshuaCCH Chong I buy from multiple places. Ebay, Amazon, etc. It's very important to know who the vendor actually is. Read all reviews, making sure they have obviously good ratings as well as a history. Long Island Watch is a great reliable source, I have also purchased directly from Orient USA. It's really about doing a bit of homework before purchasing. Many vendors encourage questions, those who don't are suspicious to me. Hopefully provides some insight. Thanks for watching! !
Aron Dunlap thank you for your reply ! But I think I'll consider buying the steinhart ocean black/one :)
Cool watch. I had an Ocean one GMT. I have a review of that up. Cheers
You have a very nice collection.
Redskins Pride WGIL Thanks so much!
That Ray Raven is really nice. Stick a military green Zulu on it with PVD hardware and it's $$$$$
A very nice collection of dive watches. The only technology missing from your collection is the Eco Drive (from citizen) or Solar Powered (from seiko).
I couldn't agree more Rasheed. I really want to add an Eco Drive since I'm so Seiko heavy, and I do feel it deserves recognition. Thanks for watching, cheers buddy.
I have an SKX in my collection because that's an icon, you need to drop the rest and buy a seamaster or something equivalent.
Thank you for tuning in.
Great dive collection , ray Raven looks wicked👍
Thanks Chris. Love that watch. From the day I received it. I bet these V1's can be had for quite a deal now that the new ones are out.
Chris, you really should get one. The new version has the hacking and handwinding and not that datepusher. It's awesome!
+Harry Ireland I know I'm looking into that and mako USA 2
Interesting what you say about 'beater' labelling. Either all watches are beaters or none of them are, imo.
BigDuke6ixx That title mildly irritates me.. I have a small collection of watches and they all have different functions or whatever. None of them are particularly expensive (by any stretch.. ) but also none of them are [what some would call] "Beaters"..
The only one in my collection, that I don't mind wearing, ie on my mountain bike, away fishing for a weekend etc, would be my G-shock. Without a doubt Guaranteed to be the toughest watch I own, but it ain't a "Beater", it was simply designed that way..
I personally feel "Beater.." has quite a distasteful snobby vibe about it.. And I cannot abide snobs.. Just sayin' ☺️
Very well done, I have a deep blue sea ram and love it, can you tell me are they i s o certified?
Thank you Mark. I know that on articles I've read, Stan Besche (sp?) has mentioned the need for his watches to meet ISO. Are they submitted for testing, I'm not sure. They meet all the requirements. I'll try to do some sleuthing. Thanks again Mark.
Very nice collection brother! Now tell us you top 3 out of the group.
Neal Rogers Thanks, it's grown a little bit, maybe I'll have to do a top 3. Thanks for watching :)
Excelente colección !!! muy buenos relojes !!! Saludos desde Argentina ...
Muchas Gracias!
A lot of nice watches.. !
Thanks, it's changed a bit since this video😎👍 Cheers
Nice!
Thank you!
Didn't know you had a channel, just subscribed.
Felipe H Hey Felipe, yeah I'm out there lol. Thanks for your subscription! Cheers buddy
Have a couple of those actually.
Very cool video
Thank you John. Very much appreciated!
no monsters!....I have 2 & really like them
Herb Wandrei I do now! There are more divers, I'll need to do an update video lol. Thanks for tuning in :)
Cant stand Seiko but very nice Orients .You need an MForce tho .All Japanese triple iso pro diver ,you cant go wrong .
Nice, reviews for the common man. Speaking of man i could only take so much of archie luxury watches i could never afford channel
Ray Ortiz Thanks for your kind comments Ray. Cheers
I like the citizen
Late to your channel, nice collection
Thank you Oscar 😁🙏
Nice group.
Thanks, very much appreciated! !
Where you bought the pillows?
Thelokriz The pillows came with my songmics watch cases. Top shelf products. I have a review of one up. Thanks for tuning in!
Aron Dunlap oh thanks! haha didn't expect that quick reply! i'm gonna check that brand out
i ordered and vostok amphibia scuba dude in 710 case, i don´t expect so much about this watch but there are so nice ...i have and skx007 and its soo cool!
Hope you enjoy. The Vostok is fun. Glad you love your SKX! Cheers
its an iconic watch with history , when arribes im gonna say my first impressions, thanks
I have videos up of my Vostoks check them out. Cool watch
ok thanks, i ll take a look at videos
Maybe you're shocked if I put in front of my diver collection a clone. Yes, by € 50 the OMEGA "Seamaster" Professional - 300m., being a fake watch is amazing their isochronism I think almost like the original coaxial and for the same price . . . Waterproof.
Not scuba diving, of course ! !
(I think).
nice collection! !!
Thank you Andres! Have a good one!
coming soon a seiko 007
Excellent, I'm sure you will enjoy. Trustworthy timepiece! Cheers Andres.
I already have it!!!
What are the other types of watches do you have in your collection?
Some GShock, Orient Bambino, Older Swiss Army Officers model, etc. Nothing too exciting. Looking to broaden my horizon a bit. I've got too many divers??
I have many divers in my collection also. Been branching out a bit lately with some dress, field and pilot / aviator's watches.
Yes, field and pilot watches are a exciting new area I'm looking at also. What do you think of the Seiko Alpinist?
Its a very beautiful watch. It can pass for a dress watch also. You will need to change the strap though, it is bad.
Thanks Rasheed. Your input is valued. Maybe I could do a subsciber review of some stuff you have(pictures)? ? Would be a new direction;-) Cheers
Any Swiss watches?
Not in this bunch Brian. Thanks for tuning in.
Needs a tuna.
I concur; -)
Yes this is 4 years old lol but great solid fkn collection.
You need an Orient Triton/Neptune.
Awesome collection Aron. Love the Orients. Haven't owned one yet but they are at the top of the list. Thanks:)
Thanks man! Much appreciated. Orient watches are most accurate to date. Great stuff
Today i purchased and received the Seiko Zimbe SRPA19K.... and yes i stated before, i returned the Turtle with the gold markers on the bezel because it wasn't my cup-of-tea. But the Zimbe.... when i first i saw it i fell in love. Just that simple.
Awesome watch, congrats!! You know, we all have our own taste. I Completely get it.
...and now, with them discontinued, they are gonna shoot up in price...!
👍
SirPablo2Pablo Thank you :)
no OMEGA?!
I just had a 2011 Seamaster for a short stint. 2nd I've owned since '98. Traded it towards a Explorer 2.
Very nice, but please put them on something or hold them steady. Shaking them all throughout the video is making it hard to watch.
I hear you. Thanks for letting me know. It's hard to think about others perspective, good to know.
there are no professional divers that use such watches in the 21st century...everybody uses digital watches with HUGE symbols on their screens, with a lot of useful info for the diver that such analog 19th century watch couldn't provide
I like d chrono fro Japan..
Jonathan Vasquez Yes!! Special little diver. You don't see very often! Cheers
Orange.
