"Buy the ticket, take the ride." Taking a close look at my fairly affordable (most watches are sub $1000, cheap by watch collector standards) watch collection as of spring 2016. The advantage of a bigger collection of course is variety so there are pieces from a number of areas of the watch market: Swiss, German, Japanese, microbrands, vintage, modern, automatic, mecahnical, quartz, tool watches, dress watches, pilots, divers, chronos, conservative, and wild-- they're all here! It's about as big as it's ever been, so I though I should document it while it's still here (generally I'm happy with 3-5 watches). I'm enjoying them and am happy to share them with you today. Let me know your favorites and the ones you want to see a review for down below! I will do a follow up video on my grails and goners so stay tuned!

unpretentious, not over priced, sensible, and down to earth! thanks for sharing.
+Threads, Suits & Timepieces UK thank you and cheers!!
Excellent job. All are so nicely presented. The only idea I would put to you is that the second watch shown would look absolutely exquisite with a black croc band.
Great video. Love them all, but wow the Sinn keeps tempting me.
+Geekanoids would be great compliment to some of your other fine pieces!
Geekanoids Dave plz make your watch collection video. You have some really nice stuff.
Geekanoids I
Cool collection.Really like the vintage Omega,Hamilton and the Seiko Alpinist.
I love your attitude to collecting in terms of versatility, styles and the the in-control size of your collection. I particularly like the Oris, but then I'm an Oris fanboy!
Great collection! I love your videos
Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing. You know what I thought about while I was watching your video and listening to your emotional and excited voice describing sentimental values of many of your time pieces? I was thinking that even though you and I have very different tastes and would not choose many of these watches for my collection, I was thinking that I also (as most likely everyone else) choose watches mainly based on the emotional feeling I experience when I see them. Well done, sir!
Your Martenero is a stunner. I will definitely be checking that brand out! Thanks
love that collection omg !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! excellent
I have the Hamilton Khaki Field with H 10 movement and you were the one that convinced me to pull the trigger on it.
2 great vids in a row!!!
+dom007bond nm thank you very much!
Love the vintage Oris. Cool collection of watches with some humor sprinkled in (i.e. AVI). Keep up the videos.
Love your collection. Alpinist is top of my list, absolutely gorgeous watch.
A very nice collection! Subscribed!!
Awesome collection! You are very right about Seiko 5's being a gateway drug to automatic watches. I got my snzg11 2 years ago and now I'm full blown addicted!
+GooooldTF2 haha right on!!
Great Video. Highly interesting & enjoyable.
+alittleolder thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great Videos. Where would be the best place to interact with you? On your FB page?
Phenomenal collection. Like some others have said, unpretentious, down to earth, and a nice variety of well-built pieces. I've never personally handled a Sinn, but I've only heard good things about them. Looks a little too thick for my skinny wrists, but it suits you perfectly!
Loved it!!
+Justin Olds thanks!!
nicest collection I have seen this year :) my fav is the Sinn and until seeing the Turtle on your wrist I was prefectly happy with my SKX007 :D darn u
+EDC Gunner thanks man! You'd love the Turtle I bet.
Awesome collection! Nice variety in there, I think this collection needs a Fortis :P
Nice collection, cheers.
Great vid man!
Not a pretentious collection, just someone who loves and surely know his watches lol
+Tony Yip I love em for sure!
lovely watch collection never seen collection like this best within budget watch collection ever
+Maher Ali thanks!!
I'm a newby to your chanel but like the way you collect ,you get watches that are interesting to you and your not one of the sheep that look down their nose at non high horological pieces, if I see a watch and can spare the cash I buy it .I buy to please myself not others, I love sinn excellent tool watches and yours looks brilliant. thanks for sharing 👍
Love your Sinn and pretty rare with the panda dial...
This is a unique and awesome collection
great collection. good value watches.
Hey loved your video, Any recommendations on where I can find your Sinn watch? Did it originally come with the brown strap? Model #? thanks :)
I absolutely love your collection!!!!!!!!!
+Jacob Kim thanks!
Beautiful Sinn chronograph!
Very nice collection. I've had my eye on an Alpinist for awhile.
+Aron Dunlap very nice in person. Lots of details.
Loving the seikos
Nice collection. You got pretty interesting timepieces!
+John Doe thanks!
I will too buy the seiko alpinist the 6r15 movement with it's 50 hours power reserve is a deciding point. We have the same tastes in watches i too love the classic style. Subscribed.
love your collection! stand out pieces for me are the sinn and oris👍
+Kev123G love those ones too! Cheers
Perfect speed on this review
SINN is sort of a "hidden gem" among watch brands. I see SINN getting more popular as time goes by. Would not surprise me if SINN will be the next big thing in luxury watches. I know will get one any time soon. Great collection you have, man
+AjaxForever I agree about Sinn! Thanks for watching!
Great collection. Love your style
+olmmedic thanks for your time!!
Only found your channel today and I'm enjoying your content. I've a sizeable collection from my first small manual winder from 1968, heaps of vintage, some cheap, some not, and around 13 new modern watches. I've only 5 Quartz, having tossed a few back when they were thought cheap and disposable, and when I didn't know better. Anyway, your reviews and comparisons are well put together and fluently presented. Liking it, from Australia. Thanks. BTW, Hamilton don't sell here, only through eBay, Amazon or other online dealers. No idea why?
Very good collection. I'd like your opinion of the Maratac pilot watches from CountyComm.
I like your style- subbed.
Did you sell your Seiko Sumo I just watched your vid before I bought mine a few weeks ago?
Excellent Collection :)
+fepowson thanks! 👊
You have a great collection
Thanks for showing us your current collection, Andrew. I like watching those videos. If I allowed to pick one piece of your collection, I would have a hard time to choose between the Hamilton and the Sinn.
Best regards,
Claus
+Claus-L. Müller (CLMac66) thanks for stopping by Claus. Great choices, easy for me to say I suppose! Cheers, Andrew
hi there, do you plan on doing a review on the seiko srp775? i'm debating between that and the skx. appreciate it!
I like your collection. Is there a website or shop you recommend to get your watch bands. I wanna get one like that light brown leather one in your video.
Nice collection
Good collection!
Where did you get the watch case?
nice collection! where did you get that beautiful box?
Nice collection, not pretentious at all and yet you have some lovely pieces. I'd love to see your digital collection
Where did you buy the first watch box in this video? good collection
You have a Martenero Ascent. Surprised the hell out of me with that one. I have a light blue dial version of this. Great watch. I don't wear it enough.
+Nick Mango it's a really nice watch, very understated!
Was hoping to see a digital watch or 2 in there. Saw your subtitle there at the end.
Great collection and always interesting to hear your thoughts as to "why". Talk to me if you get tired of the Alpinist ; )
+CampfireTalk I'll let you know about that Alpinist! I'll have to fit in my digital watches in another video
Hi,
How often do you have them serviced as I only have quartz watches but I am thinking of getting a hamilton jazzmaster auto crono
I always enjoy your watch review videos! Keep it up! I just acquired a new Shinola Chrono Runwell and would love to know what you think of them! Love your Avi 8 Hurricane. Definitely thinking of pulling the trigger on that one!
+Jamie Cheslo thanks for your support! Let me know how your Runwell holds up!
Smart Collection!
Hey! I was looking through your videos and noticed you had a Timex Fly Back chrono, wear is that at now? I'm actually looking to by one or something in its similar price range, any suggestions? P.S you should totally do a video about quartz vs automatic you mention it a lot in your comparisons !
I have the same vintage constellation...currently trying to figure out what type of strap to get for it
Very nice collection. Have you ever considered to purchase the intra matic from Hamilton?
Great collection, thanks for sharing them with us. I was wondering where you got your big watch box from?
+Joseph Fitch thanks, that is a Wolf case from Massdrop, check out my vid on it!!
nice collection. if i were to add anything it would be .. patek gc, breitling navi, rolex gmt / sub, tudor black bay, iwc big pilot. i have the sinn 104 sta, omega seamaster diver (black ceramic bezel, non wavy dial), and a few others. sinn is a great brand, very well made watches for the money you pay. stepping it up from there you can see why you pay more for omega and some other watches that i have.
Gateway drug! That's for sure. It's my first and only automatic so far and I love it. It's not perfect, but it does the trick for a severely limited budget!
+wpherigo1 Same here.
+wpherigo1 excellent choice, enjoy!
The Alpinist and the Avi-8's look great!
+Daniel 2506 thanks!!
Nice collection. Someday I will top that.
Just a suggestion, add names in the video itself and arrange the description's list in the order they are shown in the video. Not everyone is familiar with every watch :)
+v1d300 thanks for the tip!
I agree with a previous post. You need a Vostok Amphibia 710 ministry case watch.
Vintage watches I would recommend are Pobeda Russian watches and Hmt pilot made in India watches. The Oris is great. I am looking for one at the moment.
Just a wind up 17 jewel would do nicely.
Keep up with the videos.
Finally a lume shot!
Highly enjoyable vid which will affect my next purchase.
+Reviewer of Stuff! Cool, happy hunting!
where did u get the watch box??
My favorite from your collection is the SINN. Thata it. 👍🏻
Love the oris
Good job
where did you get those sharp watch cases?
Where did you get the bronze AVI-8?
Which manufacturer is that watch display case? It’s eye catching.
Thank you, The Sinn looks just great, Super, yes the brand is overlooked brand, by the way how much u paid for it?
Is the Avi-8 Hawker Hurricane MKI automatic (hand-wound)?
Nice watch box where did you buy it
Great video, awesome collection. You have what will be next in my collection, the Seiko Alpinist. What do you think of the strap? Others who have it swap it out for something more robust. I was wanting your opinion on it and if you would replace it and what you might replace it with.
+airmandan916 it's a terrible strap for the watch but I want to break it jn before I take it off, I guess I'm being stubborn lol
Where did you buy your Hamilton from
What kind of strap is on your Hamilton Khaki Mechanical?
I have a mechanical as well, but your strap brings out the best of the watch!
+Pericles of Athens actually that's a Hamilton OEM strap! Very good combo I concur!
I need a case like yours
You have a great collection , real manly stuff
Where do I find the same Watch Box?
LOVE your collection, it's funny you have that "second watchbox" I think, I already have one of those... it's like this little sack of weirdo watches that I can't throw away, but they aren't in my "collection"... I wonder if other people have these "second watchboxes" It's like a JV team in sports.
+Fred T haha I certainly have a B squad, box or not lol
Great video! I love Hamilton, the Sinn, the vintage Omega, the wabi SKX. I own an 009 and Khaki automatic myself. I've owned the Alpinist a couple of times; I love the beautiful sunburst dial, the classy size, and the screw-down crown (rare to find on a non-diver Seiko), but I've ended up flipping it because the internal bezel is gimmicky (imo) and I don't like gold plating. That being said, seeing your collection tempts me to add it back to my collection! BTW, would you ever consider adding another Omega or a Rolex? Any particular reason why you sold your modern Omegas?
+chillwill120 Great questions, I'll make sure to cover it in my follow-up vid! I hear you about your issues with the Alpinist. I'll be discussing that my review video of it for sure!
Great video! Just stumbled across the channel, subscribed for future vids. Keep up the good work and don't let anyone tell you that you have "shitters". A lot of people don't buy watches for the resale value. I have my fair share of Seikos, Bulovas, etc. :) I bought them for the enjoyment of wearing them, not as an "investment"!
+Mason Delpino I agree they're missing something completely. Thanks for the sub!
that pilot bronze AVI-8, ohhh man
Nice collection! Just out of curiosity though, did you get rid of your Sumo?
+Michael Lockwood thanks! I'll answer that jn a future vid
fantastic collection, but you should try a squale, amazing heritage, superb quality
+Caspar Green would love a Squale in my box!!
Kermit has a great collection!
how is the flyboy man?
i'm non english and i don't understand all therefore I'm asking
keep it up man!
I love the Seiko Alpinist! Where did you get it? It seems a bit difficult to track down
+Jeremy Galloway Massdrop!
555 Gear
I recently found your other video where you revealed that! thanks!
Gosh that sinn has a flyback chronograph
I'm considering buying the Hamilton Khaki handwound watch, but do you think it would be possible to have the bead-blasted finish it comes with taken off and have the watch given a brushed finish instead? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
+nevermind2886 the right modder should be able to do that...
What strap is that on the SINN
Good to see the Alpinist. It's my latest and current daily watch. The dial is just stunning. You need a new strap though. That thing is just bad, lol.
+Chris Mays wow it has been terrible breaking it in. Keeping it on for the challenge but will be relieved to make a switch
+555 Gear haha, good luck! I tried a worn and wound mil strap but it was too thick and didn't fit. Looked amazing though. I'm just using cheapest nato straps for now and I like it.
Is the movado bold a good watch for the price
What do you think about Swatch? I reviewed one.
