I like your taste in watches. Not overly pretentious like most watch guys. You can appreciate fine craftsmanship along with the low and mid range brands.
Hey Marc... Last watch, add your logo in blue and if it can be day/date (NH36A SII) with white print on black background, for me resistance would be futile! 👍
Just ordered and received a phoibos quartz dive watch from you guys. Love it. Fast shipping. I will certainly be buying from you again. Love the vids. Thanks Mark!!
Thank you so much for sharing your Divers Collection, I love the fact you have a Seiko SKX009K1, so not even the Japanese/Homeland version, says so much about you and THAT watch, truly EPIC! I love you're channel and collection, I feel my first Islander Watch coming 'home' this year?
At 6:12. Love how you casually stuck it to the disgruntled watch buyer! It’s now a collector’s item & there was nothing wrong with it in the first place. Poetic Justice at it’s finest!!!!! Happy Holidays Marc. I’m a Subscriber & Customer. Best wishes to you & your loved ones!
In November I purchased a Seiko SKX 009J from you, and had it modified to my liking. Great job. I wouldn't have even though about buying one until I started watching your videos. Glad I did and couldn't be happier. Will be highly recommending you to my friends. Keep up all the good work!
You're actually a real cool guy Mark. You've got some really nice pieces there and very down to earth even though one or two are rather expensive. No boasting or bragging, just a down to earth vid sharing some of your charming watches. Thumbs up dude.
I've had to correct the folks I work with on this point. The customer/client always gets what he wants, but if he was always right he would have my job. I'm paid to always be right FOR him.
Love the Yachtmaster as well. I hadn't thought too much of it until I saw one in the flesh, and then I was really impressed. That dial really is first rate.
Hey, you and I have the same watch! I have one of those blue dial Orient original, discontinued divers. It's a daily wear watch that's beat to hell and still works great, but like Orient is prone to the bracelet sucked and I replaced it years ago. I have the same model Orient diver with a black face and the gold trimmed stainless case and bracelet. That one is in new condition, it hasn't been on my wrist more than 40 hours since I bought it. I bought both of them together, one for a daily wear watch and one solely for dress occasions, in 2008. Neither has ever been serviced, neither has ever been opened. Both "live" in a cheap ($40 +/-) watch winder and both run as good as the day I took them out of their packaging.
Hello Mark ,that's a superb collection. Well ,my favourite piece you got is the one you don't like !!!! I just love that black Seiko Turtle. Wish you luck.
Love your custom SKXy. Hope it sees the light of day. Right in that opening group shot of your collection that is the one watch that caught my attention. Nicely done!
It is really nice to see what a watch expert has in his collection. The one that I really love is that blue Squale. Surprised seeing a lot of Orients, nothing against them, I own a few myself. Great collection, look forward to seeing more
So cool that you kept your first analog watch, and it was a diver. 👍 I still have my very first watch, given to me by my father in 1966, a mechanical Caravelle diver, long since worn slap out. 😉
This was a great video! I like the faster pace because most reviewers will go on and on about the most minute details when all I want to see is the basics. It also gives an inside view of the watch business. After a lifetime of stereo business it’s interesting to see a lot of the same type of things go on in my latest passion business.
Outstanding video mark, great collection I mean hopefully we can see the rest of your collection sooner than later let's just say it's definitely on my radar
Fascinating! I like your choices. Very nice grouping. Until you mentioned it, I thought for sure that we'd see the Matic on the white Barton, but we see that one All. The. Time. so it wasn't a disappointment. So it looks like the best way to give you a watch is to buy one, keep it for way too long and send it back and say "there's something wrong with it". I'm taking notes. [wink]
That Seiko White Knight is like a hidden gem! I think you just gave me the urge to find a white diver to add to my collection. The Mako USA might be it.
I wanted a white dial Mako USA but couldn't buy one as a European and recently got a white dial Heimdallr/Sharkey SKX homage instead just to see what it is like. Funny enough it completely cured my Mako-lust somehow. They're not perfect by any means, but I just fell completely in love with this watch. It is so gorgeous and accurate and affordable that I have no problems forgiving it its quirks, or maybe love it even more because of them..? Definitely look in to them if you're looking to buy a white dial diver. They come with a two year warranty and have a superb customer service too.
My first watch and only watch from 16 years ago until a couple months ago is a dive watch and although I appreciate my new watche, it made me appreciate the lume and the bezel.
I thought I had a watch problem ! That's a lot of Japanese activity happening there although some nice pieces. The experiment at the end looks pretty good actually. I've had a few Seiko watches myself and found that they are hard to move on in the pre-owned market, can't give them away, but I still buy one occasionally.
I currently have 9 watches and 7 of them are divers. I've probably had 30 or 40 dive watches over the years and have one on my wrist 99% of the time (rocking my skx 175 right now) and I've never been diving in my life :)
Hello Mark, great video with a bit of background on the watches. Oris on blue and yellow Nato, cant go wrong with the coulors of Sweden :) I got talking to neighbour across the street and he was wearing an Oris Aquis Bullhead 500, of course I told him about the store and channel. Happy customers spreds the word.
Awesome collection Mark. Your SKX with the blue hands would look perfect with the blue ceramic bezel, and dare I say the Island Ray would be stunning with a Yacht Master style bezel...or maybe a blue Triton???😊 Really great variety in your collection. As always Mark, watching your videos inspires me towards my next purchase...or two! Speaking of Yacht Master's would love to see the bezel on the last watch done on a Ray Raven. BTW. Your help in assisting with your Squale donation was exceedingly good form. It is this type of generosity and care for the customer that shows in the way you do business and brings me back to LIW as well as making you my first recommendation to anyone looking for a watch.
No Damasko? The SUB2 is a beautiful diver from a first rate German company. That Sinn U1 is my favorite of the bunch. Thank you for all your very informative videos.
Yours last watch is a killer! Please start a production of it. BTW you are one of few watch collectors that I respect, owning Rolex and Seiko. Not of those rich snobs who are "ashamed" owning Seiko besides their Pateks, Rolex etc. Great collection. Best regards from the Croatian coastline, seating one my terrace in a nice summer evening, drinking beer while watching yours video, wearing my Citizen Marine auto😀.
hello mark, what a really cool collections you've got there. my personal favorite is the orient 100m diver. really resemble like submariner. is it wind and hack?
Interesting collection. Although I am the other side of the pond keen to see your coming new brand? I guess a diver with a twist? All the best for your microbrand.Cheers.
Hey Mark! Great collection of awesome divers! Definitely check out the Victorinox Dive Master 500, they make quartz and automatic versions, I picked up my automatic DM500 for $350 on bracelet, used. It houses an ETA 2892, sapphire crystal, and is a great value for what I paid! I'd highly recommend it! Also check out the Victorinox INOX Pro Diver. It's quartz, but you'll love the build quality and the fact that it can withstand a tank running over it
Great collection! Thanks for sharing. I wish I still had my first diver. It was a Citizen with a pepsi bezel and steel bracelet. I think I bought back in 1991 or 1992 while in college. It sadly took one too many beatings.
I liked the Rolex YM, the Marathon, the Seiko w the white dial and the turle. The last one was very close to my ideal diver, hope you get to make them some day.
I like your taste in watches. Not overly pretentious like most watch guys. You can appreciate fine craftsmanship along with the low and mid range brands.
It must be really difficult NOT to get 'high on your own supply' when you have such a great supply! ;-)
I guess nobody has watched Scarface.....
💯
That last watch was sweet! Def looking forward to your line and creativity!
Well, thank you!
Hey Marc... Last watch, add your logo in blue and if it can be day/date (NH36A SII) with white print on black background, for me resistance would be futile! 👍
That last watch looks amazing, have you brought it out yet?
I too have a white Mako USA II. :) Your "Makos, Ray's, and USAs" video was the deciding factor!
Love that video, LOL, thank you!
I LOVE the White night!!! Wow
Just ordered and received a phoibos quartz dive watch from you guys. Love it. Fast shipping. I will certainly be buying from you again. Love the vids. Thanks Mark!!
Thanks for the business!
That's a very nice collection you have there Marc. Very much enjoyed you sharing with us.
Thanks for taking the time to watch.
I've been watching your videos for years and I just want to say that you're a genuinely nice guy. :)
Genuine, honest, engaging, articulate, knowledgeable, said noone about me, ever...
I'd love to wear the last one (no name assembled) you showed.
Looks great and functions well I'm sure.
Sharkey / Heimdallr make a SKX homage with MM hands. Check it out...
Thank you. Hopefully it will see light of day!
Missed opportunity not calling it marineyacthmaster
@@islandwatch "Manta" would be a nice name, the color scheme is similar. Best regards from Brazil!

Hey mark, can’t wait for you to stock the new seiko 5 watches! Been awhile since i bought a watch from you. I’m starting to save now

Great to see a seller that personally owns watches he sells, it shows a true passion.
the last watch! what a cool piece! it’s nice to see the predecessor to what we know now as Islander Watches!
New into Seiko. Just got a Seiko Prospex Land in Black metal. Love it!
The customer is not always right!
True!
Most of the time the customer is an asshole LOL not nice but definitely true
I've had to correct the folks I work with on this point. The customer/client always gets what he wants, but if he was always right he would have my job. I'm paid to always be right FOR him.
A.J. Hart just curious what kind of work do you do?
That phrase is only used by entitled assholes.
Love the Yachtmaster as well. I hadn't thought too much of it until I saw one in the flesh, and then I was really impressed. That dial really is first rate.
Nice collection, that Yacht-Master and that Seiko with the integrated bracelet are both sweet! 👍👍Of course the 2nd gen Monster is too!
Thanks Steven. The White Knight is a winner1

Love Your amazing collection. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Mark! Nice if you too share this part of your collection. Love the backstory behind each watch.
Hello Mark ,that's a superb collection. Well ,my favourite piece you got is the one you don't like !!!! I just love that black Seiko Turtle. Wish you luck.
Marc, you’re living the life man!!
All these divers!! My favorites are the 2 Rolex and the Sinn U1!!
Squale are amazing dive watches! Dive watches are by far my favorite type of watch
Me too, thank you!
The no name one that you had put together is perfect imo. The components were chosen to tastefully. It would definitely be at the top of my wish list
Wow, thank you
Not One Watch in there I didn't Love!
Awesome Eyecandy selection, Beauty LIW.
Thanks! As someone new to thinking about and collecting watches this was a great tour of your collection.
I found my Q&Q quartz! This was my first watch and after a fresh battery it was cool to see it working after 18 years.
Nice! Glad you rekindled the relationship.
Mako USA ll has those great drilled lugs as well! Thanks for sharing Mark- you have good taste, but we already knew that! :)
"None of my watches are daily wearers, because I have so many I can't wear them everyday." Well, now Marc, that just sounds like a challenge. :-)
Jeremy Smith ‘wrist check’ *shows 2 watches ‘Ankle check’ *shows 2 more watches :)
Impressive. Some really nice pieces.
All your watches are beautiful..thanks
The Marine Master hands on the Frankenwatch is a nice touch. Thanks for the video.
Love your custom SKXy. Hope it sees the light of day. Right in that opening group shot of your collection that is the one watch that caught my attention. Nicely done!
Your watches are awesome, Mark. “Your watch your way” Seikos are my favourites.

Yes let us know when you release that no name black face diver. It's looks very cool! Good job.

I have the Mako XL same colour same watch. It's a quality watch. Never had an issue and never been serviced and running since I bought it.
The blue dial on that Yachtmaster is beautiful! Great video!
Thanks so much. My fave!!!
Thanks for sharing Marc. Damn, that Seiko White Knight is something else. Now I’m gonna be turning over every rock to find one.
The last one, the "thrown together" watch, might be the best mod I've seen. I would feed my Long Island Watch habit one of these!
