I would have mounted them off the bed floor a little, or had some rubber in between. With vibration, the bed liner grit will eventually wear the plastic surface of the fuel tank…which is not what you want. 20k miles later you’ve got a problem. Last thing you need is a leaky fuel tank seeping fuel all over your truck. Love you videos though, just a small observation here.
Thanks for the idea! I haven't seen any issues so far - the rotopax mounts keep them firmly in place - but I'll keep an eye out and update if I need to change the setup.
Thanks for the recommendation. The panels look useful. However, most of the stuff I want to get to regularly is in bags in the Ram boxes on the side of the bed, so my use case is different.
Genuinely asking, is it a good idea to have gas containers inside an enclosed bed (when the cover is closed)? Seems like that could keep fumes inside, hence why most fuel canisters are in open air.
Most truck beds are not air tight, and the air from the bed isn't "inside" the truck, so people in the cab won't get overwhelmed by fumes. In my case, I tend to open the bed and vent the rotopax at least once a day, to account for temperature or altitude change. If there are any leaks I'd find them fairly quickly. I always carry spare rotopax lid gaskets to replace them immediately if they fail. Hope that helps.

Nice job
Thanks! I hope it was helpful for your projects.
You might want to check out Icky Concepts moelle panels for Ram Power Wagon. Very versatile and heavy duty. I have the bed kit in my PW and love it.

What size rivnuts did you use for this?
1/4" 20 - these are the same size as the hardware that comes with the rotopax.
@@goofingoffroad thanks. Doing this exact install on my PW and want to have the hardware in hand when the rotopax arrive.
Awesome! You *may* want to put some blue Loctite on the threads - just in case.
