What a great show! I grew up in the 70's and always remember my parents watching this show. I own the series on DVD and put it on occasionally. It's in the top 3 or 4 shows of all time in my opinion!

See he doesn't really hate anyone. He's grumpy but he's not a malicious human being. He believes heavily in stereotypes and is a high school educated man. People nowadays don't understand that a character like Archie isn't meant to degrade people, it shows that he's largely a buffoon, but he also has redeeming qualities, because many like him exist in this world.
