@thebodybeatdownDiTi Well, by now you know that I just can't leave anything alone. That's why I like these tools so much. There is only 1 other tool on the market that is modular but it is not refined enough yet. It is called the GOAT. Strange name!
Loving the Flex Companion. I'll probably pair it with a Roxon M3 which frees up the scissor and awl slots. I'll replace the saw with a diamond file which frees up the small crosscut file slot. Because it is modular with a lot of options, it will an excellent "companion" to a lot of other tools. For example, a Victorinox Ranger. That would free up FOUR slots in the Companion for specialty tools (crosscut file, saw, scissors, awl)!
@ParkerBinion I think the Companion will pair well with any multitool. The overlap of tools can be avoided. Right now I have my Flex setup with the tools that I need daily and the Companion has tools for working with wood.
The Flex multitool and the Companion are really neat. I have been playing around with different tool loadouts depending on what is planned for the day.
There was talk about a little set of plyers, but I have no idea of the status or if it will ever be made. I think it was on maxlvledc's channel where it was talked about.
I just bought one of these and it should be here in a few days. After loving the KS2 Elite and a longtime Victorinox fan, I am super excited for this. Might make a few videos of my own comparing the scissors to those found on the 91 mm Vic.
The KS2 Elite is a very cool tool. I love those scissors and D2 blade. I have had several Victorinox tools over the last 20 years or so and have a ton of their pocket knives. They make a high quality tool, probably even a bit better than Leatherman. Although Leatherman has the edge in flexibility. The Roxon isn't quite as good quality wise, but it is not far behind. It is just awesome that it can be configured any way you want. It has been a long time since I was this excited about a multitool!
@@LastChanceKnivesoh me too! What Roxon has been working on for the last year or so you can see the evolution of what they are building on and the direction they are going is absolutely a good direction. They are filling a need. When you present a product that’s built to solve a problem, it’s destined to be a success.
Thanks! The bit driver is permanently installed. It would be a nice option to exchange it, but the tool would have to be bigger in order for that to work.
@@07Arpegius I haven't found a good double sided bit yet. I did find one that work decent for Phillips, but is too wobbly to use the straight bit. I am still looking. If I find something it will be in a video update.
I preordered the Flex Companion unfortunately they sent me a left handed blade i did reach out to them they are sending the correct right hand blade . The Companion is a really nice multi tool really great quality . I do wish they would have implemented the pen & tweezers into the Scales the same way victorinox & others do instead of wasting a slot on those little tools .
@LarryReynolds591 True, but that is not what I am getting at here. In Oregon, the latest innovation is new colors for a premium price and in Switzerland it is adding a pocket clip to a tool that has been in production for 20 years! Innovation and listening to customers is the point. I believe they are an American company having their tools made overseas. I would love to see a premium version of their tool with upgraded material made in the US.
There are a lot of people including me that modify Leatherman's. Many have been asking for this for years. If Leatherman would add a custom build to go along with their custom colors and engravings they would make a lot of sales! When I saw Roxon's tools I just had to have one! It is so nice to be able to configure the tool for what you are doing.
These are great. First video you did a few weeks ago i thought it was great then. But the companion makes it the true dynamic duo.

Thanks for your review. I like the Flex Companion. It's a very clever design. I replaced the saw blade in mine with the long diamond file.
Do you have the Flex Multitool? The pair of them are so fun to play with!
@@LastChanceKnives I don't have the Flex yet, but I will probably get it at some point.

@LastChanceKnives I definitely can see the advantage. Especially if you have all the blades.
I wish they made a little pair of pliers for this. Amazing tool!

So, in the back of the flex companion, there is a bit driver that can't be replace by another short tool ?
Thanks! The bit driver is permanently installed. It would be a nice option to exchange it, but the tool would have to be bigger in order for that to work.
@@LastChanceKnives Thanks for this precision.
If you find a versatile bit, it's cool (one side flat head / one side philips).

@J2k1980 Your right the accessories should be in the scales, it would save 2 slots. This just may be a future 3D printing project!
I wonder what it would cost if it was made in Switzerland or Oregon.

@@jeffjackson5331 How long have people been asking for a build your own Leatherman? This even tops that. I just love how the tool can be customized!
