- As we move on from a rainy car park, things start to improve and the sun comes out to say hello. Here is a bit more of 'what goes on' during a bike launch and as you can see, there is quite a bit of faffery. Dont get me wrong, its amazing, but its harder work than one thinks.

'Merica f*ck yeah
Hey Baron! Just bought my first bike, its a F650GS. Your bike's little baby brother!
I'd love to take it to America sometime too and head down the west coast (best coast)
I'm thinking of doing a bit of vlogging on my bike also, walking in your footsteps!
+BaronVonGrumble FUCK YEAH MERICA, FUCK BRITAIN!
+BaronVonGrumble Do we get a video of the Baron "Jacking it in San Diego"? :P
You should definitely come back to the states and ride Highway 1 from San Francisco to LA. Most beautiful road in America imo, especially the stretch through Big Sur. I recommend to anyone considering it that you go from north to south because you'll be on the side of the road closest to the cliff sides so you get a better view.
Also, when you're in Cali, fuck all fast food except In and Out. Double bloody double.
The great BARON and BXD with SUB D would just be jizztastic
Next time you come out we'll make it happen!
The Baron needs to meet Klaus!
+SUB. DELINQUENT He can borrow my 1098 if it isn't sold by then.
+SUB. DELINQUENT that would be so awesome
Here in the US, at a stop sign you give way to whomever arrived to it first. If you arrive at the same time you give way to the person to your right.
Hahahaha, I love the juxtaposition of the American "Morning!" and the British "get the fuck out the way…". And your American accent is pretty good.
Thanks for the great videos!
I've visited California twice, but I must admit I instantly fell in love with the place. I was told on several occasions that CA people were shallow and arrogant, but I found that once you got out of the city centers, this could not be further from the truth. I am most definitely going back there again. California is awesome for riding a motorcycle. And the climate in the winter is perfect for us northerners.
I love your videos baron! That is all.
P.S. That helmet is fucking sweet.
+RYNO v4 10:48 - 'Jizz Machine' : )
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit- I saw Coronado, Silver Strand, Otay Lakes, Honey Springs, and Hwy 94 all in there. There's a ton of roads out that way that you can spend all day riding on and always have a big smile. Cheers!
"USA Gasoline? That's an imaginative name, isn't it?", said the British man who gets petrol at British Petroleum
I dont comment much but I do watch all your videos Baron, and this one is my favorite so far. Thanks for sharing and I'm glad to see you enjoyed my home state so much!
I rarely comment on UA-cam videos but I have to say how good this content is. From the early days of shouting at people in London to this series in San Diego I have seen the channel evolve and grow, some ways artistically and some in maturity. This content along with 44 teeth is some of the best you've done Baron. Kudos!
Awesome video...I thoroughly enjoyed watching this.
You keep outdoing yourself, Baron! That ending was priceless!
Like you said in your last video, you wanted the sun for the second bike, and you got it aha awesome videos man!
Beautiful video. Love the cinematic at the end
Yall come back now ya hear. Seriously, I'm happy you enjoyed California.
crack me up as per usual, Grumble! love the ending. your helmet is sick, must've cost a few bob!
Hahah. You had me cracking up at the "morning" part about how everyone is rude in London 😂
Excellent Video Baron love the montage at the end
loved that musical bit at the end!
Some of those roads and views look beautiful, will be tough to ever find something in the uk that'll even give you a similar feeling... Looks like an amazing experience
Nice Video!! Awesome place - have been there years ago... too many though. Was maybe 4 and can't remember sh*t :'(
you just made me escaped from reality for 11.34min - thx man!!
Cracking video Baron. I am a nervous traveller until I get there and settle. Good luck with it
Last bit epic :) Nice combo with the music !
Great vid Baron looking forward to more :)
I cant wait till I can hit up San Diego :D ........ Looks like fun :D .........
Cali is about as good as it gets for motorcycle riding. Perfect weather most of the year, lane splitting, massive national parks, and decent road surfaces. Once you get out of the cities it's completely empty. You can be all by yourself in Angeles National Forest and find a vista to look down on a metropolis of millions. They rent motorcycles at LAX if anyone is interested in a fantastic spring ride up PCH. I just checked the weather in LA; 80*F and sunny in freaking March...
The ending was very artsy Barron. good job sir.
Love the full carbon AGV helmet
Love seeing notifications on my phone that there is a new barons video
mate you've got a subscriber for life. come to portland oregon sometime will show you our beautiful summers and great, great beer.
Yo Baron!! That lake is Otay lake off of Otay Lakes Rd. I rode that area at least once a month if not more. Damn you were so close to me, I'm so bummed I couldn't have met you when you were here. I ate at that Burger Lounge many times and there's a great coffee and gelato place on the left not too far from there.
Loved the video. Keep em coming.
Murricaaaa!!!
+Boris on Bikes next time sir, next time!
the grey skies are making it feel close to home lol
Yes Baron, I've felt your pain. I've been over in States recently and although I didn't ride out there, I did hire a car and yes it's an adjustment understanding their road protocols. I must say I do enjoy their big cars on their big roads tho and of course the Florida sunshine! Props that you know BakerXDickhead and Subarban Delincunt!
It's fascinating that folks from Europe come to the USA and always rave about Florida and California , two of the parts of the country that Americans dislike most.
BVG, another great vid... You mentioned more than once you wanted to come back to the states and enjoy the riding in California. If you wanted to take a much shorter flight and do some great riding try flying into Atlanta, Georgia and hook yourself up with a bike. Ride north to the Georgia mountains, North Carolina up to Deals Gap (aka The Tail of the Dragon). I'm sure you've heard of it. 318 turns in 11 miles. The entire area is fantastic for riding. Good luck and be safe.....
awesome as ever baron, keep up the good work.hopefully catch up with you at loomies or bahnstormer one day for a double bloody decker and a good chin wag.
I really enjoyed that. Ride Safe.
I remember when I first started watching your videos that I didn't want to see your face. But now that I have I think your videos are a lot better (quality) and more interesting. Thanks for proving me wrong :)
+Dark Rider he's hot, just say it
+Cydro12 just want to jizz over those sexy eyebrows
o_O
You guys look like the cutest biker gang ever with the matching bikes lol.
HOLY SMOKES! That's my route on the weekend! The lake is called Otay Lakes road and you rode a partial route through the "old 94 highway" into Jamul.
Super cool ride in the last half. Love the ending with the music. Nicely done. Isn't the west coast gorgeous? I've lived in London and loved it for 6 years, but nothing compares to the energy here in western North America. I live in the Okanagan Valley, B.C., and it is similar to northern California -- except in the winter; we have one. And we have pines not palms.
2:35 - 2:45. Dude please i am crying here. Keep it up.
I'm going there in June! Please come again!
That helmet of yours is badass
Looks like you had a good time....
Rather jealous. Been stuck in work for the last 600,000 hours, by the feel of it anyway.....
Loved that ending man, hope to see you with BxD and Sub in videos at some point ;)
Southern California is a bit like Spain, and many people speak Spanish. However, the state is bankrupt, so those bad roads are only going to get worse. If you ever desire something very different in the USA, try the Blue Ridge Parkway in the eastern mountains. Not far from there is the Dragon's Tail, although I think there are better roads to enjoy. It seems to draw people from all around the world.
Agreed. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive will knock your socks off scenerywise. 50MPH speed limit makes it less of a rider's challenge than it could be, but still a lot of fun. Natchez Trace Parkway is also nice, though not nearly as dramatic as the BRP.
California has some beautiful scenery but a clusterfucked place to live. If Baron thinks the UK is bad, California will drive him mental.
Glad you liked my city! Hopefully you come back to visit us West Coast Mericans soon :)
Love San Diego. Gaslamp was brilliant. Still think Yanks are a little crazy. Love them to bits, but crazy none the less.
Great vid!
I dont know if you have any plans on coming up more north into the Washington area but i'd gladly show you around for some good motorcycle riding adventures. Both on and off road. Great video as always!
great video as usual. Imagine doing a commute across Noo Yawk City or Some other 'Murican metropolis. Might put Lahndan Tahn in some perspective.
San Diego is a great freaking city that's for sure!
Wouldn't be a Baron video without a "stay there fuckstick" haha love it, great ending too!
THAT WAS AWESOME
If you come back and want to avoid all them people, head north. IE: north of LA up to Oregon. Tons of FANTASTIC riding, 10% of the population. Southern, Eastern Oregon also stunning...just depends where you want to fly in and how much time you have.
you need to get to Santanas or Albertos and get you some CARNE ASADAS and CALIFORNIA BURRITOS!!
Thats probably the number one thing I miss from San Diego!
Hey Baron how's the BMW R100 going? Haven't heard about it for a while.
I believe it's broken
+McMuffinFluffin I know it was a project but it seemed fine in the Panigale 959 video
+luke marshall Looks good actually, that was decent timing
Took me way too long to realise the bikes were all the same. I should watch the previous episodes
Baron, if you ever get a chance to ride through the Redwood forests it's well worth the effort. Enjoy while you're here!
"Everywhere you go, always take the weather with you, everywhere you go, always take the weather!" =)
I really think you would like visiting Alabama. Or pretty much anywhere in the south.
Lovely Jubbly.
I think we need to see Baron ride across the US from the east coast to west coast. Maybe a 44 Teeth thing?
Baron should move here to Cali!
I am getting this bike!! Is there going to be a part 4?
Awesome man, just put a name to a name haha 👍👍👍
I was hopping you guys would make it up to Julian for some apple pie, Mom's is the best..Maybe when you come back you could meet up with Sub. Del. in Julian. The ride is the best, coming from south San Diego. The norther route is not so good...Cool that you went by the gas station I used to work at, was a Mobil back in the 70's..
Baron at the Ride of the Century. I'd like to see it^^
I love my diavel 1260s. I have added heated grips, a magnetic tank mount bag, and a rear bag with a two extra fuel bottles and a securing net. Oh. Yeah, and a full termignoni exhaust.
In America with a 4-way intersection, the person on your right who stopped first always goes :)
Cool vid :)
3:46 - You reminded me of Jeremy Clarkson there for a second... :P
Excellant film... :-)
@08:40 They're pretty good at getting out the way of faster traffic. Even when you catch them in a car :)
"the animals..." LOL Oh it can be worse; you are in a fairly up to date area. My mother would have told you that you were picking up trash (driving too close to right hand edge of the road); I got that a lot when learning to drive.
USA USA USA!! Great video!
can you ask Ducati when they will fix my 2016 Multistrada s :P been out of action 3 weeks in last month, only bought it in Feb! - great videos, love Ducati bikes generally, they have 'character' - interestingly my 2015 ducati scrambler had quite a few false neutrals, not many on the multi though.
Did the +BakerxDerek and +Suburban Delinquent meet happens? That would have been dope AF.
1:24 Hey! I see you doing the bakerXcheeeaaahhhh sign there!
+Arthur Sperotto You mean the almost universal 'ok' sign which has been used for hundreds of years...
The Kruxed No, I mean the bakerXcheeeaaahhhh sign.
"10/10 Waves" -Baron Von Grumble
If AGV makes a helmet that's my head shape, I would buy in a heartbeat.
How'd the suspension handle the shit bits of road? Sounded like you didn't enjoy that stretch. I suspect it's much like my Diavel Carbon. In dire need of a full Ohlins upgrade. Wish Ducati offered the DraXter Ohlins suspension as an option...
Man..Would love to see another S.D. video with BakerXDerek & Suburban Delinquent.
love the "team America" quote funny as shit
West coast is a beautiful place to ride.
If you do come back to the west coast, schedule a track day at somewhere like Chuckwalla or Buttonwilllow. You'll have a real jizzy time.
Nice ending
Assuming that I'm quite a noob biker, what's the difference between shifting with or without clutch? you just close the throttle and change gear?
Come to the SF bay area sometime Baron!
Overall, did you like the bike? Would you pay the price for one if in the market for another bike?
+XXXDeadhead lots of praise for it on +44teeth :)
+MotörMerc yeah - have seen that review a couple of times.
Hey baron. What visor do you use for your helmet ?
Those roads look far better than the east coast.
Had a quick glance to see if anyone else has asked, what backpack is that you have Baron?
I believe it is a Kreiga r30
I live in AZ...you coming down this way??
song @ the end? It is so jolly
Looks like a fun bike. How tall are you?
Road surface is bad? Come to brazil m8! Jokes aside, awesome video!
I started riding bikes around that lake at 5:50! le Baron so close to home
That was Otay Lakes mate, also let me know if I can put you in touch with my friends at San Diego BMW, they should let you take out a bike for the day.
