WHY RADIATOR COOLING FAN KEEPS RUNNING AND WON'T TURN OFF

- In this video I explain why your radiator cooling fan keeps running and won't turn off after shutting off the engine. It is normal for the fan to keep running for 30 seconds when the vehicle is turned off. However, if the fan runs more than 5 minutes the problem could be something else.

I have Mazda 6 2004 I’m not sure but I think the fan is always on and when I turn of the engine the fan stays on for 30 seconds to 2 minutes?
Is it ok the bypass the cooling fan sensor and have the fan Connect straight as I switch the ignition on?
Good video 📹 👍 i do have a question my fan works at the beginning but then stops working completely do you know why?
Hi
I have 2011 Toyota highlander limited edition. I have problem with air conditioner, it doesn’t blow cold air in a slow speed, when you stuck in traffic or idle,
The pressure is perfect, it blows cold air when car is drinking normal.
I took it to a few mechanics and they keep saying you need to add refrigerant.
I know a little about hvac for he but not for cars.
Please let me know what can i do.
I don’t want to take it to the dealer before i talk to you
I am in Maryland, i wish you were closer
Thanks for your help

This makes me wonder how hot companies are running their engines
Hi .. I have a Kia optima 2012 and it’s radiator fan I always on can anyone tell me what’s the problem with it and the solution 😕😕
I have an 2009 bmw 328i fan stay on high and radiator been replaced, AC blow cold and still running hot.
What if the fan cuts off but keeps coming on?
Great video and tutorial. How about coolant always get full in the reservoir and not going back in the Radiator?
That is caused by a faulty radiator cap.
@@Top5AutoRepairs I have the same issue. Changed rad cap, thermostat, sensor, checked wiring etc. Only when I turn on AC and get fans going doesn't happen. Why? thx
What happens if its not moving at all? I just noticed that
For my car, it was the faulty radiator cap that leaked coolant.
whats considered a few minutes? i just got a new to me car...2021 buick encore, black on black... its been unusually hot here in FL.. 100... ive never had a car where i have heard the fan continue to run. it ran roughly 25 min after shut off.... is THIS normal?
It's definitely not normal. The fan should run no more than 5 minutes. It also depends on outdoor temperature. The fan may run a little bit longer.
clean those 2 fans
Can that happen if you don't replace the engine oil for a long time?
You gonna have bigger problems than that
Hi I have golf5 gti 2007 radiator fan always on
👍👍
Just replace or click the plastic cap more times!
👍⚘
I removed the fuse 40 amp and replaced it did not work, I replaced the relay it did work until I went for a drive and it kept running when I turned off the engine. I have to check the wire diagram I hope it's not the wire.
Check your coolant thermostat housing with the sensor in it
@@framirez4770 did you fix the issue?
@@joycedelarosa9304 not yet I'll let you know when I get it done.
Hey it was a wire issue I got a mechanic to fix it I hate messing with the wires. It's another thing that can be wrong with the fans.
RELAY GET STUCK IN ON POSTION SOME TIMES
When engine if off nothing should be running
After driving around my car fan stays on too way too long (hour) that it killed my car battery 🪫
Yes mine also..what cause it?

The same thing happens in my wife's CRV.
My mechanic told me the issue is the fans. The car has TWO fans. One is supposed to always be on when the car is running. The second one is supposed to turn on when the AC is on.
However, if that second fan won't turn on (bad motor maybe) then the car will only cool down when the air is blowing through the front.
So basically, replace the fan.
