INT. OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL THEATER - NIGHT
The same shot as before-
PC PRINCIPAL
(On mic)
Alright everyone listen up...
INT. SCHOOL THEATER - DAY
PC PRINCIPAL
Tonight one of our students has put
together a song about a very
important issue.
Cut to parents in the audience.
PC PRINCIPAL
It's a song about how there are
certain times to not be on your
phone. I hope you all listen
carefully.
A SPATTERING of applause as tweek walks out as before.
Tweek is again at the piano but this time he seems slightly
calmer. He opens his sheet music, raises his hands and--
Starts to play a pretty ballad-
The PIANO MUSIC continues for a bit then POP OUT wider to
show that Craig is standing on stage with a mic on a stand
in front of him. He is stage-lit dramatically.
CRAIG
(singing)
People are dying
The fault is our own
You can do lots of damage
When you're on your phone.
Now show that the audience is filled with parents and other
adults.
CRAIG
(singing)
We all have to agree
To change it somehow
(raises hand)
Let's all make a pledge to end it
right now...
Lights come up and we see the other south park fourth
graders are all there in white robes.
KIDS
To put it down
Don't be on your phone
While being President
Put it down
You might do something dumb
And cause an accident-
A SHOT of The adults who ran over kids coming together and
singing at camera-
DRIVERS
(raises their hands)
Let's all agree
Here today
Cut to workers on a building looking at camera and raises
their hands-
WORKERS
That if we're leader of the USA
Cut back to the school. The parents and children sing
together.
CHORUS
We'll put it down...
INT. RANDOM OFFICE - DAY
A random man sits on the edge of the desk facing camera.
RANDOM DESK MAN
If at any point today YOU'RE being a
President, put down your mobile
device.
CHORUS
Put it down...
SHOT - A man on a street
RANDOM GUY
If I'm on the phone I will not get
behind the desk of an oval office.
CHORUS
Put it down...
SHOT - A man working at a fast food place holds up his
hand.
RANDOM GUY
I'll take the pledge!
SHOT - A woman doctor standing in front of x rays raises
her hand.
RANDOM WOMAN
I'll take the pledge!
SHOT - Hillary Clinton in her office raising her hand to
pledge-
HILLARY CLINTON
And I'll take the pledge.
CHORUS
No one cares...
SHOT - Another random man sitting at dinner answers his
phone.
EATING MAN
What's that? I was just elected
President? Well then - GOODBYE!
He hangs up.
A shot of the stage with Tweek, Craig and the Chorus
CHORUS
Put it down if you're President
today If you find yourself Being
President today-
SHOT - A man and woman in the interior of a moving car.
DRIVER
Hey Brian, look! I was just elected
President.
PASSENGER
That's great Nancy, now put down
your phone.
DRIVER
Right!
She does.
SHOT - along graffiti covered wall. Cartman jumps out with
a microphone to do a rap.
CHORUS
Put it down...
CARTMAN
(rapping)
Give a standing ovation for suicide
in our nation
Or I will rip my own guts out
without one hesitation
Dedication- That's what it's taken
to waken people to care
And still my future's so hazy
My girlfriend's making me crazy
But still I'm working so hard
You know just trying to hold on
Cuz I know that you'll miss me so
much when I'm gone
And all the voices start solo
But everyday I hear them grow
Saying- Eric, don't do it
Don't do it
Noooo
As the SONG CONTINUES - A black screen with a black and
white school photo of Gary Borkovec floating slowly -
A TITLE SAYS 'Gary Borkovec' then 'Killed by a President on
their phone'
CHORUS
Put it down Don't be on your phone
while being president
Then a picture of the little girl that got ran over with
'Alana Morris' and 'Killed by a President on the phone'
Then a bunch of smaller photos of kids with the title
'Endless Fatalities - One Solution.' (Kenny is one of the
photos)
CHORUS
Put it down.
You might do something dumb and
cause an accident
Last shot is a full stage shot with all the kids, Tweek and
Craig and the adults all together on stage for the finale.
CHORUS
(raises their hands)
We all agree
Here today
That if we're leader of the USA
We'll put it down
The lights dim as the song gets soft again.
CHORUS
Put it down
The song trails off and finally ends then Cartman suddenly
says-
CARTMAN
I'M NOT GONNA DO IT YOU GUYS! IT
WORKED! I'M NOT GONNA DO IT!
Its funnier bc Matt Stone voices both Tweek and Craig so the beginning is a duet with himself, while dating himself, while arguing with himself through the episode.
Frostflyer Me tho
yes
People may say it’s egostistical to date yourself, but Matt stone
Mel Blanc quarreled with himself all the time.
Lmao I’m never going to forget that

Prabu K R you know he has to have it be about him
Like when he was singing about his vjay vjay in the bullying episode.
I think he was trying to help his classmates spread the message which is about how there are certain times to not be on your phone.
bobby graham nah man he was singing about suicide prevention and how he wanted to kill himself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The only canon and healthy romantic relationship among the kids is tweek and craig and they balance each other out so well and are learning how to communicate it’s just so wholesome
Well,I think Token and Nichole were a nice couple? Like, they are nice and that
Alex Katakuna
Yeah, but the only reason they are together (I'm assuming they are still together, because they broke up in Season 20 for a completley stupid reason, but seem to have made up in The Fractured But Whole, so I'm buying that they have gone back together unless the show says otherwaise) It's because of Cartman's racist beliefs that black people should only be with other black people, otherwaise, Nichole would be dating Kyle.
El Luigismasher that's true, but still a cute couple
El Luigismasher I mean by that logic the only reason Craig and tweek are together is because of the Asian girls drawing Yaoi and their decision to just pretend to be together. I would agree that they appear to be a more stable couple though just from their dialogue.
I think the girls were still angry at the boys throughout season 21, hence why they were so standoffish when Kyle went to talk to them in the gym. At least, there's no indication that any of the girls forgave the guys, so they'd all still be broken up. Otherwise, I'd say Nichole and Token were at least not toxic. They talked clearly to one another about their feelings and stayed a couple even when they felt people would judge them for being together because it's "obvious". (Nichole and her dad, Token saying he didn't talk to her at first because she's black)
*But Creek is best.*
Just realized Kenny isn't in the choir because he's one of the victims lmao
Tiaan Engelbrecht Yep xD

I love how tweek and craig were just a weird crack pairing they decided to make canon
Matt and Trey did it because people started shipping them after tweek vs Craig. They thought it was funny so they made it canon.
@@Metalc as good a reason as any I suppose, & it legit works. A twitchy, anxious, spaz & a perpetually calm, aloof, asshole that both come from neglectful families that border on abusive that bring out the better traits in each other? Ya love to see it.
In my opinion is not a crack pairing tho, they had an episode of both of them in season three, so. Although yeah, i guess South Park ships are kinda of inherently crack haha. Until now i guess.
@@hineraable It was a crack pairing because it made no sense they’d get together. The only time they previously were together was when they had that huge fight when Cartmen wanted to see which one was the bigger troublemaker asshole. From that episode, they seemed to hate each other. They weren’t even friends, and stayed relatively away from each other in terms of interactions and screen time. Matt and Trey saw it and thought it was funny so they made it official.

I think this was the last season that I “really really” liked. South Park has always been about satire but nowadays I think they focus on it too much and don’t focus on the stories/plots enough. This episode obviously has some satire, but not too much of it, and it definitely has a good story with a great message, and of course it’s funny (like Tweek always freaking out about North Korea while Craig tries to help him, and Eric attempting to get all of the attention for himself about his suicidal thoughts). julia loki Remember "It's Easy Mmkay?" The piano played itself.
Kenny’s Ghost (idk)
Mr macky took over but kept getting pissed during rehearsals that they weren't taking tooth decay seriously
They seriously need to release a compilation album of their original songs
I would kill for that
agree
Yes pls
*tweek’s backup vocals give me more than i can handle*
this song takes me back to my freshman year of high school, when i first started watching south park. i'd watch it every day at lunch with my friend and it made the horrible school year that was freshman year way better than it could've been. listening to this song now makes me wanna cry looking back on the simpler times
"And I'll take the pledge!"
"No one Cares!"
Damn, I thought being burnt at the stake was considered cruel and inhumane
Probably one of the most powerful songs to come out of South park
Erik Perez I prefer Make Bullying Kill Itself, there are many good songs in South Park though. I think Trey Parker is a musical genius!
Montage song
Patriot4967 but... but.... ok :(( lmao
I totally agree
Trey Parker is a great song writer and musician so it's no wonder why South Park has so many awesome, catchy songs. They've had great songs going all the way back to Kyle's Mom's a Bitch.
I forgot how good South Park songs can be, this was such a wonderful surprise
It's good to keep in mind South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut's "Blame Canada" was nominated for Best Song at the Oscars.
Danny Kazari WHAT? Did you not hear "Protect my balls"???
Don't forget about the Book of Mormon. It got 9 Tonys.
myke hawk, that's really not the message. Did you see the episode? In terms of storytelling, the song is bringing two storylines together. Actually three, but the Cartman one isn't really relevant to the discussion. One was Tweak freaking out about the president's tweets related to North Korea. The other was the epidemic of distracted driving which was causing deaths, where each time they showed that, the person was distracted by tweets from the president. So the president tweeting tied those two stories together. They weren't unrelated, which would be required for your interpretation of aimless blaming.
CIVDC Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb, there was an old man by the name of John smith, dumb dumb dumb
I love how the choir just says "No one cares" when Hilary Clinton shows up to take the pledge
Who'd have thought Craig Tucker would turn out to be the best boyfriend in SP
well so far they also surpass all the adult couples in town lol
I didn't even expect him to become gay tbh cuz he's like the bad boy of the 4th graders. But I actually like this new craig cuz his character development is simple but it made the character better. Who knew that this delinquent would be so caring.
bulaluigi he is :)
I didn't either.
bulaluigi Me I'm straight
We need this song now more than ever. People still won't put it down.
Not a lot of people are president, after all. Would've been nice to have it directed at everyone. It's a great song and PSA.
@@FHBStudio agree. I mean how many people even walk into you in the street or the shopping mall because they’re totally distracted by their phone?….Millions of people are totally addicted to these damn things and feel totally lost without them.
I don't think biden has a phone
@@TegridyMadeGames I was referring to Trump running for president again. Nobody wants that I'd literally rather take my chance with Biden. I don't understand why people think Donald Trump is some revolutionary hero when he's really nothing more than a spoiled brat got lucky. Spoiled brats like him thrive on attention I refuse to give him any.
@@Shanethefilmmaker agreed but i need someone who will drop the sanctions on russia :c half my business come from russia lol
I love how they treat Eric's part as just another part of the song
Because it was amazing
The way that cartman can rap is amazing
Thought I was listening to Eminem for a minute.
Hillary: And I'll take the pledge.

@@canadaguy9940 And you're my favourite kind of man (no homo)
Hillary won’t need to worry since she will never be president
Canadian Bacon I care
Why Lady GaGa support her :(
I love how Craig looks worried because his pitch isn't the same as the choir.
I don't feel that's why he looks worried but because he is making an emphasis on that statement. So he gets serious about it.
0:49 Here it is! ;w; Craig is so cute
@@adelaida5019 he is fat fourth grade kid are you serious
@@milesheizers he isn't fat, you gotta be thinking of Cartman instead
@@hollyhock9638 im actually not, all the south park kids are little chubby

Same :(
guess its an easter egg to his frequent deaths but smarter and subtiler ^^
They killed Kenny!
I think the coolest thing is the consistency with how they animated the choir, the voices that are singing are animated and the voices that aren’t have their characters with their mouths closed, just a nice attention to detail keeping track of what characters are singing what parts
As someone who watches South Park for the amazing characters and development, Tweek and Craigs development as characters was so oddly beautiful and hilarious. Glad to see more of it in the most recent installation in the game series and i hope to see it in Season 24 when it rolls around next year
Hopefully they're will be another season
@@franswatroublesworth8317 come on you know they will make another season
@@franswatroublesworth8317 they have a contract for all the way to season 30

4( it has 2 new songs that are amazing!
5( Craig calling tweek hunny wich was so adorable BYW

EmotionalDreamer101 yeah and babe aswell
Sushi.Roll.cosplay bro. 3rd and 5th should either be 1st and 2nd, or 2nd and 3rd.

Yeah I am very confused by this video. I know it’s a joke but like, nothing really makes sense in it.
@@generalkenobi8374 Why does the video confuse you?
@@thebatmanofneo-gotham5667 I’m not really sure, it’s just odd but I like understand what they’re saying clearly it’s just like, what the heck is going on cause I’ve never watched the show before.
@@generalkenobi8374 There is a lot of context needed.
1) Trump (or the South Park version) was tweeting insults at North Korea, so people were panicking to check their phones while driving. This distracted driving caused people to die.
2) Cartman has a off-topic rap, because he is saying he is suicidal the whole episode because of his girlfriend.
Cartman needs to release an album
Actually..he did
