CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Mr. Mackey (Trey Parker) teaches the kids how to "get back in touch" through song and dance.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The most tasteless third graders on television graduate to the big screen, as Trey Parker and Matt Stone expand their animated series with foul-mouthed humor that might breach the boundaries of basic cable. In the small Colorado town of South Park, good-natured Stan Marsh, slightly neurotic Kyle Broflovski, fat and petulant Eric Cartman, and perpetually doomed Kenny McCormick are psyched for the premiere of the first feature film from flatulent Canadian TV performers Terrance and Phillip, entitled "Asses of Fire." The movie is rated R, but that's not about to stop the boys from sneaking into the theater. However, when the boys' language gets bluer by the minute after seeing the film, their parents and school administrators decide that something must be done. Kyle's mother comes up with the ideal solution: blame Canada. Terrance and Phillip end up in jail for corrupting America's youth, while the Canadian Air Force retaliates with an air strike targeting the Baldwin brothers. The boys soon organize a children's underground resistance force to free Terrance and Phillip before they can be executed; meanwhile, in a sensitive subplot exploring relationship issues, we're permitted an inside look at the domestic problems of Satan and his lover, Saddam Hussein. As on the TV show, Parker and Stone perform the voices of most of the characters, and they also wrote several songs for the film; George Clooney, Minnie Driver, Eric Idle, Dave Foley, and Mike Judge contribute voices. Not to spoil the plot, but rumor has it that Kenny dies.

This movie was a huge tabboo here in Brazil and so hard to get your hands even on a bootleg copy, I found It on a thrift store when I was 12 and needless to say this movie blew my mind with both the profanity and How shocking It was, the hype was real, this movie was amazing as people were saying. Today with 30 years old this movie blows me away even more, It is way funnier then I've remembered.

Well basically in a season 1 episode, Stan fell in love with the substitute teacher, making Wendy feel like she's losing him.
It's amazing how Trey & Matt can sing under these different voices and still make it sound incredible

This movie is perfectly structured, a rare moment where a movie based on a TV show both lives up to its standard and delivers on an entertaining concept while staying true to the feel of the show. Great pacing.

Mr. Mackey is one of the most wholesome characters on the show if you think about it. He can be just as profane and psychotic as anyone else in South Park sometimes, but you can tell he genuinely cares about the students.

South Park's movie is one of the *very* few musicals I can tolerate, and probably the only one I genuinely enjoy.
Lefty Jones cause it all adds to the comedy. And it was supposed to be the end of South Park so the creators just said m’kay

Every song is in this movie has a reason it exist, it all links the story up while providing us with some of South parks best songs ever written.

He actually died after seeing Asses Of Fire AGAIN right after this song and Cartmans said you couldn’t light your farts on fire. to prove Cartman wrong, he farted onto a lit match to make a fire fart, lighting him on fire. He then got hit with a stick a few times and then got covered in salt. THEN got revived by the doctor who replaced his heart with a baked potato, then died again.

One time in 7th grade, I was going to a private Catholic school. The assistant principle and principle were both nuns. One day the assistant nun took all the kids to an upstairs auditorium and had us all sit down while she told us all the curse words that we were not allowed to say anymore. We were up there for 4 hours and I never laughed so hard in my life.
