We are 100% home schooling and pushing our kids toward trade schools when its time. I am raising my daughters to be wives and mothere and Godly women, my husband will teach our sons to be strong, courageous, providers, and to always fight for righteousness, no matter how lonely the path may be. That is a good decision. I don't understand how so many Christians can send their daughters to colleges, where they will be staying in dorms, unsupervised. Where they will be exposed to ungodly influences and be pressured to participate in their debaucheries. In my opinion, it is one of the greatest evils that our society is currently facing. What really came to mind in hearing all this is how this is all built on worldly wisdom and has nothing to do with Christ!! Christ is the head of the church and all authority in heaven and on earth have been given to him. Let me give you the political parallel of this. Senator John McCain was beloved by the media and the democrats because he was willing to "reach across the aisle." I think you totally missed what Jesus and the disciples taught. At least 15 time the scriptures explicitly tell us they taught "the gospel of the KINGDOM". Look at the parable of the tares carefully. The Church is NOT the kingdom. The kingdom has unbelievers, the church does not. "The gospel" is not of salvation, or the church, it is about the KINGDOM. Since politics, by definition, is about the activity or study of governance of people, and the throne is Jesus, and it is HIS kingdom that is the subject of everything biblical. Seems to me there is no way to keep Shabbat on a Gregorian calendar. Even if you begin with Saturday on the Sabbath. After First Fruits and those days not counted it would shift from the Gregorian. The algorithm developed by a brilliant rabbi has IMHO a major flaw in that it seems to ignore the first directive that we begin to count from the ripening of the barley in the mountains of Lebanon. As for a parallelism I would agree that on this calendar the seventh day is more acceptable since it is the seventh day. And it is the opposite of what the Pope decrees his Sabbath. This is very scary. It's so subtle and very clever. First they started with Catholicism around 100 years ago - think Bella Dodd, Liberation Theology and Pope Francis. Our family left the Brethren church specifically bc of secular ideology. I grew up in that denomination, my family has a long history in the brethren church with even pastors in our family within the denomination. However the Brethren church especially the ones in the mid Atlantic district, have grown extremely woke support lgbt and blm etc. and “love is love” and “God doesn’t judge.” Its like they have never opened the Bible. They are also pacifists which I just never agreed with personally. We now go to a non denominational church that is amazing, the preach straight from the Bible, and they guide the congregation through the cultural/political and societal issues of the day according to what the Bible says about it. I pray for everyone struggles especially on the left that they let Jesus into their lives and wake up and see the truth so they can be free.
I sugned up and paid for a 6 week bible study. The program had strick criteria for the teaching. It was excellent. Then the next study was offered which I was interested in signing up for. Details revealed that Beth Moore's study guide would be used.....completely violating the teaching/study criteria. When I pointed this out to the teacher of the classes, she said, "I like Beth Moore."
Imagine being that prideful and arrogant that when no Christian financial backer would pay for their pet project, these three went to a secular, God-hating source instead because they believe their little Bible study curriculum is that good. No brother or sister in Christ being interested in their endeavor should have been the first clue that whatever this is they are pursuing does not align with Christ.

Don’t be afraid to walk away from churches if they begin teaching stuff you don’t agree with. Stand by your instincts. Don’t back down.

What really came to mind in hearing all this is how this is all built on worldly wisdom and has nothing to do with Christ!! Christ is the head of the church and all authority in heaven and on earth have been given to him. So anyone who doesn't point us back to him and the mind of Christ should be very vehemently avoided and exposed as false brethren and doctrine.
How about gather the church fellowship together that are against this and present your case to the church leadership. If church leadership don't want to listen, then leave and create your own church with the members that want to leave.

I don’t attend church. There are too many false teachings. The church I attended first over so years was bringing in false teachers and teaching the enneagram. My friend attends a church that flies the rainbow flag and has gay/trans people leading worship. I am safer not attending.

I think you totally missed what Jesus and the disciples taught. At least 15 time the scriptures explicitly tell us they taught "the gospel of the KINGDOM". Look at the parable of the tares carefully. The Church is NOT the kingdom. The kingdom has unbelievers, the church does not. "The gospel" is not of salvation, or the church, it is about the KINGDOM. Since politics, by definition, is about the activity or study of governance of people, and the throne is Jesus, and it is HIS kingdom that is the subject of everything biblical. You are as far off base as is possible.

Seems to me there is no way to keep Shabbat on a Gregorian calendar. Even if you begin with Saturday on the Sabbath. After First Fruits and those days not counted it would shift from the Gregorian. The algorithm developed by a brilliant rabbi has IMHO a major flaw in that it seems to ignore the first directive that we begin to count from the ripening of the barley in the mountains of Lebanon. As for a parallelism I would agree that on this calendar the seventh day is more acceptable since it is the seventh day. And it is the opposite of what the Pope decrees his Sabbath. This is very scary. It's so subtle and very clever. First they started with Catholicism around 100 years ago - think Bella Dodd, Liberation Theology and Pope Francis. Most of the mainline Protestant denominations are now progressive, save for some of the Baptist churches (don't know as much about them). Now, on to the Evangelicals. Remember Jerry Falwell and the Moral Majority? I can't believe how much things have changed. It seems like it just happened yesterday!

This is 100% an attempt to attack the Church from within. I do call their Salvation questionable. The Red Flag to me would be that repentance is missing from their dialog. Without repentence for the sins Jessus spoke of there can be no salvation.

This curriculum that's being discussed can't be joined to Christ because it isn't of him. It's based on the world's wisdom and seeks to distract us from our sincere and pure devotion to Christ alone.

Satan never gives up and is using every person who loves the praise of man/seeking the accolades of man to accomplish his goal. Some of these people were never true believers....their hearts desire to be in a position of authority no matter what the position was, led them to religion. Many stand in pulpits today who "called themselves" to be preachers, teachers etc. They talk a good game, and those who sit in their congregations do not know the Word of God themselves so they are easily decieved.Thank you for bringing this new deception to light!

Do any of you realize "afterparty" was coined in the gay community in the nineties. It referred to a dance party that started after all the other dance clubs closed at about 4 am. It was another dance party for those who were drug users, and wanted to party and dance all night until noon the next day. Why religious groups would use this term is odd.
Allie, what you’re seeing here is a reshaping or rebranding of Enlightenment “upper story/lower story” pietism (see Francis Schaeffer’s ‘Escape from Reason’) for the the feel-good, seeker-sensitive, “apolitical” nondenominational sector of the Evangelical church. Fits in well with “Jesus Gets Us.” (See, e.g., Ben Shapiro’s comments on this year’s Super Bowl commercials.)

Our family left the Brethren church specifically bc of secular ideology. I grew up in that denomination, my family has a long history in the brethren church with even pastors in our family within the denomination. However the Brethren church especially the ones in the mid Atlantic district, have grown extremely woke support lgbt and blm etc. and “love is love” and “God doesn’t judge.” Its like they have never opened the Bible. They are also pacifists which I just never agreed with personally. We now go to a non denominational church that is amazing, the preach straight from the Bible, and they guide the congregation through the cultural/political and societal issues of the day according to what the Bible says about it. I pray for everyone struggles especially on the left that they let Jesus into their lives and wake up and see the truth so they can be free.
Anything with Russell Moores’ name on is a no go for me!
I sugned up and paid for a 6 week bible study. The program had strick criteria for the teaching. It was excellent.
Then the next study was offered which I was interested in signing up for.
Details revealed that Beth Moore's study guide would be used.....completely violating the teaching/study criteria.
When I pointed this out to the teacher of the classes, she said, "I like Beth Moore."
Imagine being that prideful and arrogant that when no Christian financial backer would pay for their pet project, these three went to a secular, God-hating source instead because they believe their little Bible study curriculum is that good. No brother or sister in Christ being interested in their endeavor should have been the first clue that whatever this is they are pursuing does not align with Christ.
We shouldn't be taking any counsel from the ungodly.... period!!!!

There is another testament of Jesus Christ the Book of Mormon. In the Book of 3 Nephi 11, Jesus Christ visits the people soon after his resurrection. The people see and feel the wounds in his body, They testify that he is Jesus Christ!
