Fun fact: the marker at Chatham is in the wrong place, and the marker at Gillingham is there, however it is just inside the building you stopped at. Great video though, I like going back to re-watch these in the hope my brain will finally pick it up xD
+Moleman978 I would never have known that lol XD Thanks for the info. As for the marker at Gillingham, I will check inside that building the next time I drive on this route. You can do it mole, keep trying! XD
What is the furthest you can drive in class 375 from Faversham? Because in my opinion, you should be able to drive from Faversham to London Victoria, but I'm not sure if that is the case at all - after all, this is Dovetail Games we're talking about!
True what you said about the route being longer, but what do dtg go and do for tsw? They also stop the route at rochester instead of a bit further 🤷🏽♂️ I watched this back then when you first recorded it, and remember thinking driving this train would be a myth lol, but since we’ve done tgv now it doesn’t seem so difficult. But one thing that annoys me about tsw is that they lack too many things, maybe by 2024 when they been around for about 6 years alot of things will become more authentic
a nice variation of AI in this scenario, I enjoyed seeing it go by, Armstrong powerhouse have done a good job with this. and as always you are very knowledgeable of this route and the tilbury route would be very nice aswell, maybe also a link between the GEML and hs1 could be a thing with the different lines coming from fenchurch street!
Kirkinstein AP pretty much always do a good job with their scenarios. And thanks, I agree with you. A way to link them together would be great! The route out of Fenchurch Street is near the top of my list for routes I would like to see made :)
Just to correct a comment you made about Eurostar - when they used to take the classic route before HS1 they were cleared for 100 mph in between Ashford and Tonbridge, and Sevenoaks tunnel and Hildenborough, and possible for a stretch between Ashford and Westenhangar
Yep. They did a lot of work in 1993 to upgrade the track. They also remodelled a lot of stuff including the western approaches to Tonbridge, and making platform 1 the through platform at Sevenoaks, all intended to get the Eurostar from Ashford to London in less than an hour (just).
Nicely done as always, though you did miss a couple of whistle boards near the end :-) It would be great if the HS1 line was extended down to Ashford at some point and be able to have a proper high speed run :-)
William Mankelow Haha, I find it too easy to miss whistle boards, especially if I glance down at my notes for a sec! I agree with you, I'd have preferred it if they went down to Ashford in the first place lol :)
Hello, the Class 395 is also setup with the french KVB system (left hand side of the cabin): according to some web sites, the section between St Pancras and London tunnel 1 is under KVB in stead of AWS. More over it is a requierment on HS1: it checks the TVM status and if TVM breakes down, the KVB will apply emergency brake.
why does the emergency brake come on... i'm not breaking speed limit.... it just comes on. i can't turn off and train wont go forward. I have no choice but restart. Bloody annoying :)
Lol good point.. Funny how the line branches off to go to rochester, but if they had actually let us go to Ashford for example, it would truly be a high speed route
+Cody Sayle Of course. When this video was made, it was on my old PC which was: AMD Phenom II X6 3.2ghz processor, 8gb DDR3 1333mhz RAM and an AMD Radeon HD6970 2gb graphics card. Since the release of TS2016, I'm now using: Intel Core i7 4790k 4ghz processor, 16gb Kingston Hyper-X DDR3 1866mhz RAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 4gb graphics card :)
Dovetail Games is based in Chatham, hence the routing.
now soon coming to tsw 2
@@mr.haitian2729 yup
@NathanEntertainmentYT I'm using this video cause I wanna drive without the hud haha
Peter, another most enjoyable video. These 395 trains are truly big boy's toys. Many thanks, Roger Crick
Roger Crick Thank you Roger, I am glad you enjoyed this video :)

+Moleman978 you.
Moleman978 Oh why is it in the wrong place
does not really matter

Josh Fowler If you have Chatham Main line too, you can make your own scenario using a workshop map which combines the two routes.
You are right Eurostar left Waterloo in December 2006. Can you please do a video on the Bristol to Exeter Route but using a class 158? please
+the ship spotter I will see what I can do in the future :)
The traveller no 2007
The professionalism. Could you do more high speed lines and trains at speed please
NingaTuna TheCakeisaLie Thanks! I will certainly be covering more high speed routes and making more trains at speed videos in the future :)
Watching this in prep of TSW 2 release at end of February 2021
Looks like an interesting route!
Same a noticing some mistake aswell but can't wait for tsw 2 version as should be modern
Wait, so you don't actually go up to the top speed on the line, you only go 225kmh? Aren't Eurostar trains supposed to go faster than that then?!?
Not at this section after ebbsfleet I goes to 186mph
True what you said about the route being longer, but what do dtg go and do for tsw? They also stop the route at rochester instead of a bit further 🤷🏽♂️

Wow I always thought the exact same about those points at Ebbsfleet, deffo a cockup!
Joe Loughlin Certainly so! They are no way 60mph points, so either they or the speed limit is wrong lol :p
It's 60 mph there on TSW too, in and out of Ebbsfleet
a nice variation of AI in this scenario, I enjoyed seeing it go by, Armstrong powerhouse have done a good job with this. and as always you are very knowledgeable of this route and the tilbury route would be very nice aswell, maybe also a link between the GEML and hs1 could be a thing with the different lines coming from fenchurch street!

Looks so good. Do you think mid range laptop from 2018/2019 could run it?
Yep, it could
thank you +ptgrail
Jacob O'malley No problem :)
it seems so counterintuitive that you move the handle forwards for braking and backwards for power
On the left of the line at 18:26 is Ensignbus' Purfleet depot, albeit with TfL buses instead of what they actually have!
+Omar Diab (LilNetworker) Thanks for the info :)
Just to correct a comment you made about Eurostar - when they used to take the classic route before HS1 they were cleared for 100 mph in between Ashford and Tonbridge, and Sevenoaks tunnel and Hildenborough, and possible for a stretch between Ashford and Westenhangar
***** Thanks for the correction. I didn't realise they were cleared up to 100mph on those sections. :)

Reading this comment 7 years later while riding the HS1 in TSW 3 ist quite astonishing haha

SimTrain you are right I have the official southeastern manual about TVM and KVB
why does the emergency brake come on... i'm not breaking speed limit.... it just comes on. i can't turn off and train wont go forward. I have no choice but restart. Bloody annoying :)
Wish they didn't decide to scrap 373 there engine sounds bae unlike 374 :(
I much prefer the 373s :p
36:29-37-04 - that is the best 2 views you have had back to back that iv'e evr seen. Both of them would be amazing screen savers.
There is a southeastern class 395 and a Southern class 377
13:50 i prseume then went via dover to tunbridgewells and then to waterloo
Notice that near the beginning of the video, both javelins are slowly rolling backwards...
Lol 😂
how far apart are the tvm pennants supposed to be?
The point joining Ebbsfleet to mainline before Gravesend is not that sharp in reality, it's much smoother!
I like how in tsw2 they are calling is south eastern high speed but it’s more low speed than high
Lol good point..
Funny how the line branches off to go to rochester, but if they had actually let us go to Ashford for example, it would truly be a high speed route
I like how in tsw2 they are calling is south eastern high speed but it’s more low speed than high
That’s what I was thinking.
is it just me or does the class 395 look a little derpy with the headlight configuration at 41:44
Very nice video, fantastic commentary!
Can't wait to drive this in TSW2! Great job, enjoyed the video 👍
Wait I watch this guy too. Woahhh. Remember me? But ye it will be amazing

Lol I remember you! Nice to see you here
And yeah it's gonna be amazing!
Back in the mid 80's I used to live in Strood, somewhere above the tunnel at approx 33 mins :)
+Nik Bartlett That's cool! :)
+PTGRail what will happen if you use the class 395 on a normal mainlines overhead wires e.g wcml. Would it say km/h or m/h
AndaBoss Overhead lines said km/h third rail said m/h
thank you
thank god u made this vid i now know how to change the trains mode
Would it be possible to do a World of Subways: Circle Line route learner?
***** I don't have the World of Subways game, but it's something I may consider in the future :)
Man This game should be rated E10 or Pegi 7
Nice to see a route that I've travelled on in real life :)
Is this available for ps4
How do you get your camera zoomed out that far? Great videos by the way!
+Peter Bushnell I made a video to answer that very question :)

Samthesnowgolem I will see what I can do. It will be a while before I come back to covering that route :)
Help me out I travel along side the high speed line on a c2c, rainham is only operated by c2c
+Rshaan pottinger there are two Rainham stations, one in Kent and one in Essex.
+PTGRail ah okay thanks

Cool,i like it,but how to have this station for example?.to see London? Please.
Kader Kadi What do you mean? :)

Barry Lawrence My favourite loco is the Class 91 :)
May I ask what is your PC you use to play Train Sim?
+Cody Sayle Of course. When this video was made, it was on my old PC which was:

Why not do a Dartford to Victoria via bexleyheath service
Unfortunately the route to Dartford hasn't currently been modelled in Train Simulator.
Can you please do the Edinburgh/Glasgow route in a HST?
_____ IBXGAMINGSHEEP _____ I don't think an HST would suit that route.
Ok
It’s 4 years late but how 4 years changes everything
Oaky can u do any southeastern class 465 services
I've done two already, and I'm planning another one very soon - from London Victoria to Sheerness in a combined Class 465/466. :)
So in-depth, keep it up!
LT1 is just over 9km in length not 7.5 😜 Great vid.
7.5km/4.7 miles according to the info I have?
simon allen is 4.7
The nostalgia 😍
When will you do another scottish route?
DJReecyBoy I will be concluding the journey along the Kyle line to Inverness in my next video :)
F
Can you do a video with the Class 375 on this line?
XboxGaming187 I will see what I can do :)
+PTGRail class 375 would be Faversham-Victoria but I don't know it that's possible
375s have pantographs but it would not be very realistic since they don’t have TVM
Well done pgt
1:00:52 u didn't sound ur whistle
I guess I must have missed the sign lol :p
There is a london to shenfield line on the geml
