    I love FX airguns. While they are amazing rifles. The design and complexity does lead to much more maintenance. I have since sold my FX guns and moved on to rifles with higher reliability. Again Loved my impact but grew tired of always having to service the rifle. Great informative video.

    Great video. Solved my problem of the puff of air coming out of the magazine area. Turns out after removing the barrel, I didn't seat it all the way home...didn't know about that internal O-ring. Loosened the grub screw and gave it a shove and *thunk* it seated all the way. Problem solved. Thanks!

    not sure if You'll come back to respond to this one, i tuned my maverick to 170/150 bar with 13gm hammer (previous tune was 120/90 with 10gm hammer. After making sure the tune was all good, filled the bottle to 250bar. next day i found the air had leaked off and there was only around 10bar press. remaining, indicating on both manometers.
    I filled it and right after, i wasn't done over even 80bar, a hissing sound was noticeable... after thorough checking found, air is coming out of the barrel...
    Major issue? I'm ordering a set of Maverick O-rings. anything else should i consider buying along?

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  2 роки тому

      Out of the barrel is a valve leak, so more than likely will need to replace the Valve pin, if not also the valve leak. A high pressure fill or 1-2 dry fires may resolve the valve leak without disassembly. The dry firing may damage the hammer though

Brand new FX I got in the mail yesterday 11/05/22 I got about 20 shots and I decide after that to tuned the regulator. I watched about 8 videos following every single step and nothing worked.

    I think i need seal 11. The second plenum to the tube adaptor. All i did was take off my bottle to store for spring and summer as i use thr maverick for fall and winter because i have a night scope on it. Anyway, when i screwed my bottle back on air was gushing out the back of the plenum. I could eveb see an oil film coming out the connection there. Can i ask, what is the easiest way to get to that seal vs needing to pull the whole gun apart. Thanks!!

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  3 місяці тому

      I always recommend storing PCP rifles pressurized, just above regulator pressure.
      As for the leak, you will need to drop the chassis, loosen the barrel/tube clamps, remove barrel and scope rail, then you should be able to twist the plenum free from the action and replace the o-ring.

    Great explanation , I'm still learning, always learning. I wanna know the basic rules to bottle swapping. I can do the sniper set-up or the 300cc 500mm compact. Where do I find a slug kit for the .30 ? Cheers to all !

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs

      Unfortunately they do not have a slug kit for the .30cal because you will need a bridged transfer port to be compatible with a pin probe. I believe Huma has the pin probe. I have a bridged transfer port and so does Huma.

    After fully degassing my Maverick (bottle empty too) and then start to fill it up, it’s leaking air from the hole in the middle of the valve housing. Changed all orings and valve seating, still leaking. Is it possible that the valve doesn’t close? Any other ideas?

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  2 роки тому

      The leak from the middle of the hole is the o-ring inside of the valve housing, under the spring seat, that seals the outside of the rear of the valve pin. May need to polish the rear portion of the pin, or use another o-ring. Just because an o-ring is brand new doers not mean it will work unfortunately.

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  2 роки тому

      More than likely the o-rings associated with the valve housing. If coming out of the barrel, then it is the valve pin and seat.

    • @ronb386
      @ronb386 3 роки тому

      Mine also leaked in that area, less than 6 months old. When I took off the reg screw, I noticed the first o-ring was busted possibly by me changing calibers and constantly retuning for the different calibers/speeds. Changed it out and no more leaks.

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  3 роки тому

      If the leak is coming from the regulator screw, then it will be the 1st o-ring on the reg screw (the one in the middle of the screw). If you need help identifying this, I suggest watching my AMP regulator tutorial video. 😁

    • @kansasairhunters2057
      @kansasairhunters2057 3 роки тому

      Yes. I replaced that oring twice,TWICE, now it leaks from the same spot but only if I adjust that 2nd regulator past 115 bar. Every time. When I pull that screw..the oring looks intact..I don't have a magnifying glass but they look good. Any other ideas?

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  3 роки тому

      You may need a completely new screw, maybe there is a micro-imperfection in the brass causing the o-ring not to seat properly.

    Hi do you hear rattling sound on your maverick below the chic piece

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  2 роки тому

      If it sounds like a large part, then it is most likely your hammer, which is correct to slightly rattle as it is free-floating. If it sounds like a small screw or ball bearing, one of the screws from the spring holder have most likely come loose and need to be reinstalled. Other than those two ideas, I would guess a foreign object/debris.

  • @sariphunter
    @sariphunter 2 роки тому

    I have a small leak when I shoot from the hole in front of the reg barometer is it normal ??Where the hammer strikes only when I shoot is the release of the hammer air

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  2 роки тому

      If it is a very small puff, then it is slightly typical. It may just be a result of the tune. If it is enough to effect you shooting, then probably the o-ring on the tip of the valve pin needs to be replaced.

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs

      That is a regulator atmosphere hole leak. The regulator will need to be removed and resealed, specifically the 4x1.5 NBR70 and 10x1.5 NBR70 o-rings, to fix that leak.

    Hi mate , how many 'O' rings does the rifle have ?

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  3 роки тому +1

      Excluding the bottle and the barrel, the rifle itself has 26 O-rings, 23 of those are seals. The bottle has 2-3 more and the barrel has 7-10 more. With these numbers, the full set-up can potentially have 35-39 O-rings.

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  Рік тому

      If you have an FX maverick, then a leak near the trigger will be associated with the plenum or 2nd regulator, that happens to be facing downwards towards the trigger, as there is no air pressure within the chassis, where the trigger is located.

    My brand new mav with 50 shots through it started leaking today. It’s coming from the rear plenum and leaking out of the barrel when the bolts closed and when it’s open you can hear it coming out from the plenum. Also when I remove the tank the gun empties itself completely of air. It’s going back to FX and honestly I want a brand new gun because this is ridiculous on a BRAND NEW GUN. I will never buy another FX product again.

    Why put a o-ring in the way where a pellet or slug can catch a hold of ....

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  2 роки тому

      Unless there is damage to the o-ring or the o-ring is the incorrect size, the ammo does not catch hold of it. It is the only way to seal the probe in this configuration. Very very rare for the seal to ever be an issue if the seal is good as I mention.

  • @jamesbowskill362
    @jamesbowskill362 3 роки тому

    Very interesting ! But why would I buy a very expensive rifle that contains SO MANY potential problems with enormous amounts of sealing rings to replace ?
    Really, I will not bother buying one of these, as I dont want to spend endless time repairing issues that should not be there in the first place.
    Thanks pal for highlighting the problems.

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  3 роки тому

      To each is own, but this video is not highlighting guaranteed problems. This video is overviewing POSSIBLE leak areas that, yes, may be immediate, or may be 10 years down the road. You would only have to replace the problem seal, so at least there is a video out there helping you find where the issue is if one is to occur. All PCP air guns/ all O-rings will eventually leak. There is no way to determine how long that may be if the product and installation is correct.
