    Boa tarde! Grato

    Good afternoon! Congratulations on the excellent explanation about the FX Crown Mk2 regulator. I need help because the regulator valve of my FX Crown mk2, when pressure is applied, both pressure gauges show the same pressure. I have already replaced all the seals without any result. Can you advise me on what I should do to fix it? Thank you.

    Thank you Newman! I have a very early Crown mk1 in .22 and your video really saved the day! I has serious reg creep and those two tiny orings on the adjuster screw where it! It's back in the game! One thing was odd, I had twice as many spring washers in mine, arranged as pairs, so two up, two down, etc. Have you ever seen that?

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs

      Likely you have a pre-AMP regulator, which typically came with 16 washers rather than 11. If the washers were thin, more may have been needed. Glad the video helped!

    Hello! Thank you for the video. I'm having problems with my new Maverick.. The 1st reg on my gun passes all the pressure from the bottle back to the second regulator. This happens even if the 1st regulator screw is all the way at the bottom. What O-ring should I change on this case? 😀

    Thanks for such a good video and info.
    I have upgraded my fx mk2 fac regu to hima-air reg high pressure 110 - 165 bar. After installing the new regulator I faced some problems as follow:
    1st was the washers arrangement. regarding the manual they said I can put 14 - 16 washers when I tried 15 for example the reg itself didn't close very well and it stuck in the trigger.
    2nd was I found that when I did my arrangement as 14 washers and adjusting the reg to 115 I faced 2 things when I fire a pellet the regulator gage returned back to 115 very slowly 🐌 may be it takes 15 - 25 seconds.
    The other one was when I leave the gun for two or three days I found the regulator gage becomes 120 or 125

    Thanks for your videos. I have a perplexing problem with my Crown AMP reg, I have problems with the reg pressure rising with every shot. I have checked the reg screw to see if it moves but it stays put. I've checked all the orings seem to be fine, checked the spring washers fine too. Could not figure out what was going on. So I put a Huma reg in and everything is working great. But I'm still wondering what would cause that problem?

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  5 років тому +1

      Sometimes an o-ring can be bad or faulty, even if it looks perfectly fine. The pressure rising with every shot is a more rare form of regulator creep. Even so, the culprits were either the regulator piston, or the lower o-ring on the regulator screw. Hope this helps!

    I am replacing regulator on my Maverick, after i have tried a Huma one that dident work well for me.
    So as putting in the Huma one was easy i assumed it would be the same with the original FX one, but no it leak thru the atmosphere leak hole, so i replaced the O-ring at the bottom of the housing, and it still leak.
    So i try to put in the Huma one again, and now it also leak thru the atmosphere leak hole.
    Starting to get a little frustrated here.
    Regulated pressure do not creep or bleed but it will bleed the whole bottle dry overnight so there are 0 pressure in front of the regulator ( .177 so reg set to 100 BAR )

    Thank you very, very much for your videos, they are very useful. I would like to ask you how I can repair an FX Dreamline that leaks air at high speed in the area where the bottle is screwed in (not in the area of the adjusting Allen screw). And also if the origin of the problem could have been a dry shot to lower the pressure of the regulator. Thank you very much.

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  2 роки тому +1

      A dry shot can cause a leak from the atmosphere hole, but that is very rare. More than likely, if it occurred after a dry fire, then the O-ring around the Delrin regulator piston is what is damaged (4x1.5 nbr70). Might as well change the same size o-ring inside the bottom of the regulator housing as well while you have it apart, though.

      @@910AirgunTuningandRepairs Thank you very much. This problem happens within minutes, hours or even a day after removing the bottle. But, if I leave the bottle connected with its pressure, there is no air loss and the regulating chamber maintains its pressure.
      The question is: is it convenient to leave the bottle connected at 230bar or is it better to remove it every time you put the gun away?
      And if I leave the bottle connected keeping the pressure stable in the regulation chamber, but there is a damaged o-ring 4x1.5 nbr 70, can this damage the shots??
      Do you have any way (paypal etc...) to help you with a donation for your help?

    when iI remove the 580cc air tank, the air from Reg 2 gets out through reg 1 so rapidly, I changed reg 1 thinking it might be damaged, money was wasted, I have a spare reg 1 now lol.
    do u think its reg 2 that needs rebuilding ( or upgraded maybe to HUMA gen3 Extreme)?

      The air escaping once you remove the tank is not a problem, that is normal. There is no back valve on the regulators, so there is nothing to prevent them from bleeding out once the tank is removed.

      first, the guns are best stored with air in them. I had same issue when i degassed mine to add a hammer weight. I had a bad Oring located in the parts schematic C section #39 fx part number 19790 oring (mentioned in this video). I tried to fix it myself, and it was an absolute nightmare to remove a hardened oring in that location. After 2.5 hours i was able to take the old ring out in 2 pieces. After i replaced everything id lose 1 bar per hour on the tank side. So i must have scratched the oring seat, the replacement part is $270. So send it out man don't take a chance. Every other oring in this area is easily serviceable and if you want to try all the others first get some spares 1x19696 6x19731 1x19109 1x19225 in addition to an oring rebuild kit. Also FYI the Captain o ring kits are only durometer 70 so i wouldn't use them in this area of the gun. Good luck

    Excellent Work!! Your video is one of the most complete and comprehensible review of operation , type and parts of the FX Impact regulators. Thank you so much; I'm most grateful for your post. I have a few questions though, at minute 8.33 you counted 15 washers for the 8mm reg, but in the pictures at the end you show only 11 washers are used. So with the 8mm reg we can use the shorter piston with 11 washers or we can use the longer piston with 15 washers? Is this correct?
    My gun has the 8mm reg with short piston, identical to the one from your picture, which means is not AMP therefore I can't adjust it to lower pressure when the gun is under pressure; is this correct?
    I replaced all the "O'" rings in my reg, put new washers and new piston (the shorter version), I pressurized the gun to 130 BAR, and the piston O ring blew up with a loud bang. That O ring came with the new piston from FX. I replaced the piston O ring and made sure everything was installed correctly, and the second O ring blew up just like the first one, (split the long way like you would cut a bagel in half to put it in the toaster) All the air went out through vent hole. Do you have any clue why is this O ring blowing up?

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  3 роки тому

      Thank you for watching! I apologize for the confusion with the washers. The 8mm regulator had two versions, a short piston then a long piston. The short piston naturally comes with 11 washers, the long with 15 washers. If you have a short piston, then you can only use 11-12 washers.
      Yes, you are correct, do not lower the regulator pressure while the rifle is pressurized, or you can very easily damage the regulator.
      From the symptoms described, it sounds like you rifle may actually need the longer regulator piston rather than the short.
      I believe I remember talking with you on the phone at FX USA about this very same issue. I hope you were able to get the new parts and repair the regulator. Please let me know if not. Thank you again!

Yes, FX is taking care of me. They promised to send the parts so I'm waiting to receive them.
      In the meantime, I figured out an undocumented feature, :) of the Impact 8mm reg. If I install 13 washers with the short piston instead of 11 washers, the gun works fine, it doesn't blow the piston O ring and has no reg creep. The only downside is that it's hard to make finite adjustments; within half a turn of the adjustment screw, the pressure goes from 100 to 160 Bar. But otherwise, it works fine. Thanks again..

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  5 років тому

      Adding a washer will make it to where you do not need to back out the adjustment screw as far to reach higher pressures. For example (fake scenario), if before, 1 full turn out gave you about 100bar on the regulator, when you add a washer 1 full turn would give you about 120 bar or so. There is no exact measurement on how much it adds, just a knowledge that it allows you to achieve a higher setting faster. You should never ever go over 150 bar on a first gen, unless planning on replacing the regulator within 1000 rounds.

      @@GillesQuennevilleGQ you can change the regulator if you like, but to get higher velocities over 155bar regulator pressure, you will need an aftermarket hammer weight to properly open the valve. The FX regulator can do the same as the Huma, just won't last AS long as the Huma, but if you are running 160+Bar on that short piston set-up, parts are going to wear out faster than at normal pressures for either brand. You will see vast improvement from adding the hammer weight and 6.3mm titanium valveseat, the Huma will just last longer than the FX at the high pressures. Where does the bigger 10x1.5 oring go ? I have never seen this before , I also have had 4 leaking dreamline bottle adapters , I get air coming out the vent hole , can any one help

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  4 роки тому +1

      The 10x1.5 goes into the threads of the bottle adapter, where the reg housing threads into. You may be able to see it if you shine a flashlight into the regulator bore, but you can certainly feel it if you run a cotton swab or dull toothpick up the reg bore threads, you will feel the o-ring about 1/4 of the way up.

    Today i have changed that o- ring which is very difficult to removr at the cave of regulator in my fx impact . When a started to fill it the air blown away from that tiny hole upside of grip . I opened it and change piston o ring and i tested it again . Same problem i got . Air blew from the same hole . I dont know the problem. Where A regulator screw was flash 😔

      You may also need to change the oring inside of the brass housing. Either that, or one of the prings you installed was a bad oring unfortunately. Sorry for the bad news!

If it was not originally full power, I'm guessing the spring washers are thinner/weaker to match the gun. That's the only reason I can think you cant get over 90 Bar. Or you have a fault regulator gauge.

    Didn't catch it but what might cause a reg to leak pressure down..

    • @910AirgunTuningandRepairs
      @910AirgunTuningandRepairs  5 років тому

      The regulator will only lose pressure when 1) The tank pressure falls below regulator pressure, 2) the regulator is leaking, or 3) there is a leak after the regulator (somewhere in the valve assembly), but the regulator has not opened to accept more air. Let me know if this helps!

    How to recognize generations of FX Impact?

      Gen 1 is produced before May 2017 (serial number will start with 15. 16, or 17). Gen 2 is May 2017 until serial number 183543 (has longer 16mm piston). Gen 3 is serial number 183543 until MK2. Gen 4 is MK2. Gen 5 is Power Plenum. The AMP regulator is in Gen 3, 4 and 5.
