You're an absolute legend! This worked for me as well. Was considering replacing the entire tonneau cover so you've saved me a few grand.

Great information, thank you. I called the dealer and they said I had to bring it in, about an hour drive for me, I asked could I do it and they said no it was covered under warranty. I appreciate the video.

THANK YOU! For doing this video! Bought a 2019 Silverado LTZ with one of these on it. Day I drove it home it was unlocked and rolled up before I got home. Thing was really pizzin me off till I saw this video and did the same fix. Now it’s working like it’s supposed to. Appreciate you taking the time to make this video!!

Just bought a ‘22 Silverado High Country and had the dealer install this cover and it keeps opening up while driving back roads (which are rough here) and it was driving me crazy! I suspected bedside flex was the culprit, and now I am more confident AND know how to adjust it.
    Thank you!!!

Anytime, yeah my roads are the same way and it did it on my brand knew truck and I thought the same thing at first was the bed flex. After looking at it closer I realized this was what was causing it. Glad the video could help

Can you show how you adjusted the metal pieces after loosening the screw? I loosened the screw and my metal "L" bracket doesn't move much. I appreciate if you can show how you adjusted those. Mine won't move as much as yours did.

Hey Tate, thanks for the video! I recently ordered the same cover and had the same issue but at the various locking points. I’ll set it in one position (not all the way closed) and within a couple minutes of driving it recesses all the way back into the canister. I contacted the supplier and they said it’s not meant to stay in those positions when driving, they’re only for loading and unloading… Has that been your experience? Doesn’t make much sense to me to have those other locking points if it’s not meant to stay there.

I have always had it all the way open or closed. I haven’t hauled anything that I only needed it part way open.

You may need someone to help but if you can’t get to the lock due to it being roll all the way in you can take a L-shaped pick or a smaller L-shaped allen wrench and feel the outside of the rail where the pins come through and use the pick or allen wrench to push the pin back through the rail and have someone lightly pull on that side and do the same to the other side to get it pulled out. If that doesn’t work send me pictures of the lock on top and underneath if you can and I will do what I can to help

Do you really need to see him loosen the bolt>move the rail 1/8” inboard>tighten bolt ? Pretty self explanatory.
