Hey thanks for watching the video!
Jan I was so pleased to see you post a video today, I’ve missed them. Enjoy your time in California and be sure to take a few videos while there.
It will be nice for you to escape the winter weather in Canada for a short time.
Thank you for the video. Have a great time at the Expo. Travel safe
Hopefully one day you can come down to the Royal Agriculture Winter Fair in Toronto
Good to see a video! I have had the unfortunate pleasure of a five day stay in the hospital and am now home recovering. Needless to say I have missed you not posting as much, as well as other You Tubers, who have decreased video productions, and my increased time available to watch them. You are one of my favorite content creators and I always look forward to watching them. Glad to see you are back!
Why what happen to you
@@calebmanuel17 I had a bad case of Ketoacidosis. Thus, now I am an insulin dependent diabetic.
@BA Pike Thank you, slowly, but I am.
@@michaelmonthei8019 you will be recover
He may not do very many videos but when he does there long compared to other videos. That's what I notice. I wish you well on your recovery.
Another interesting video. But all that snow !!! BRRRR!!! Greetings from Australia
Millennial Farmer just said he will be there in Cal, too!! That would be a great meet and greet!
16:25 "It seams not safe but it'll do" OSHA workplace approved
Jan Thanks you for sharing a nice video 🤟🤟
Just would like to say thank you to you and your family for all that you do...
Thanks for all the hard work you folks do.
May you meet many friends at the world expo , enjoy
keep up the good videos i love em
Hands down. It makes my week when you share a video, Jan. I love to watch the ladies go into the barn. The cows are huge! Your cow technology is fascinating. Here in Indiana we have an outstanding vet med school and ag engineering etc! I love watching but keep the cold in Saskatchewan!
I'm sure that the ladies are more comfortable with a tag in each ear now, they won't have to fight against walking in a circle, always being dragged down to one side. Plus, those big bright look like LED headlights, and who doesn't like that?
Reminder: the ceiling in the pack barn drops going into the old part; you may want to teach the loader bucket that its verboten to kiss it even though her yellow lipstick won't show as much as Ms. Case's would.
That ladder is way cool and a nice alternative to the typical platform- and step- ladders. I'm always impressed by how clean, organized in every way, and quality-built your entire operation seems to be. Sure, that's all one huge Dutch trait, and the buildings are new/er, but it's also an extremely easy discipline /habit to fall out of, "freeing up time" (only on the back end of every job/chore) yet also slowly eroding the processes and facilities one little bit at a time.
-20℃ is cold, just not as warm if its ℉. (That's positive thinking that even John Calvin would approve of. Maybe, on a not-bad day and the sun wasn't too bright, lol.)
Millennial Farmer said he was going to that Ag show as well. Maybe ask him for a collaboration video. Would be interesting.
I miss seeing your videos everyday, I like watching them
I always enjoy your videos, learn a lot. Your dairy cows look so healthy.....you take good care of them with all the systems in place. Thank you for another informative video 😊👍💕
I hope you enjoy your time in sunny (and warm) California next month 🌄
I would be down for a meet and greet, but I could only come on that Thursday (10th). I live about 3.5 hours north and would totally drive down to see one of my fav. UA-camrs. 🥰👍
Your dad's more graceful in that front loader than I am on my feet most of the time.
I would love to do a meet and greet! There will actually be several UA-cam farmers there it would be great to see you join in with one or all of them. It would be great exposure for your channel as well. Larson farms, millennial farmer, Peterson farm bros, welker farms and others. You will have a great time!
Great that you're coming into our area (I'm Bakersfield - one hour south) - but Tulare is pronounced Too-Larry
Always good to see a new video!!! Have a good time in CA. Hope you get to tour a farm or two.
You are a good content creator my friend and I am one of your followers. I am from Algeria. I wish you success
I wish I was going to be in at that ag show i'd love to meet you. Oh well, some other time. If you are ever in South Carolina be sure to put it in the video. We got our first measurable snow in 7 years in the part of the state I live in and it was 2 inches and thar triggered a state of emergency. Thanks for the video.
The Millennial Farmer will be there as well. It would be great to see you meet up with him.
Enjoy all your daily routine, definitely enjoy you trip south 🙂👍
Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream is made with cream from the local and surrounding dairies here in Tulare. Worked there for 26 1/2 yrs now retired.
What an awesome idea to meet your FANS! Have a great trip.
Good welcome to Tulare.
Enjoy your trip to Tulare, California. Was there 5 years ago and we had a great trip. I hope you find time to go see the Redwoods, they are fantastic. Since you been there before you know what the weather is like that time of year so bring your shorts and a t-shirt because you are used to cooler weather and the folks their will be wearing coats because it's winter to them and also hat and mittens and boots if you drive by a school yard. Enjoy your channel very much. My husband installs Delaval milking equipment and right now is working on 128 rotary parlor in northern Minnesota. Also fantastic barns to go through and see the technology. Huge operations. The best to you. And by the way, you talk just like us Minnesotans. LOL
Hi Jan, good to see you again. Enjoy the World expo. Hope some day you can come to the ploughing championship in Ireland one of the biggest in Europe. Also host's the World ploughing championship from time to time, check it out. All the best from Co Cork Ireland 🇮🇪
Have fun in California be safe.
Great video. I like your stick-to-it-iveness in getting things done. Where there is a will (or a Jan) there is a way!
I love that job excellent greetings 👍
Glad to see you. Really enjoy your videos. I have learned so much about Dariy Farms so interesting. I would be interested in a videos from your trip to Fresno CA. My son live in that area. He not a farmer. God bless. Have a good trip.
that was a very interesting episode, thank you, I cant imagine how cold -20 is, living on the lower south-eastern coast of Australia our lowest here might get to -1.
Good to see you it's been a spell!!
Always busy on the farm. The days are not long enough!
Jan. I don't klnow if you saw it but in your video, some monstrous hing snuck into your caw-barn and started eating hay - Look at 07:53. Have a great time at the Expo. Hmm.It is understandable that you don't know too much about being pregnant. After all, you are a healthy, average, young man. Damn - that stuff in the corral looks like really solid stuff. That must be quite a task. Jan, We don't see much of your Father in your vids. It would be nice to see you working with him. WOW, that crown gate ride You should open it up and sell tickets. It is not every day that you can tide a crowd gate. Take care Jan. Great Video as always. Be safe, stay well. Get vaxed before you go to California.
Well done stay warm and enjoy your trip!
SURE would always good to hear different view
I am glad you are getting to go to California thanks for the videos
I always used automatic transmission fluid in the oilers at a factory that I was maintenance supervisor at and would go through about 5 quarts a week
Have a great trip! Stay safe!!
Nicely done 👍👍👍Thanks for sharing
Wish I was in California, but I’m all the way across the country in Massachusetts! Safe travels!!
Nice video Jan! I suppose you have a lubricating/greasing scheme, would be a good reminder. Also smart to take off the old grease and worst dirt before applying new grease. You also have automatic lubricating systems that work on battery power for the most critical parts. Love your video’s.
Very nice how you explain it all Jan.👍
Just a tip for the lube on the chain, buy a refillable air powered spray can if you want to use engine oil on the chain, downside is that you have to pressurize it more often if you have alot of oil in it. Can be used with a lot more, break cleaner and so on
Can you recommend a specific product. I searched with your words but couldnt find anything that could spray oil. Could I use a cheap automotive paint gun to spray oil?
@@deshaunjackson8188 I think Sure Shot is a brand name brand sprayer. I might drill out the spray nozzle orifice to a larger size. Not full bore.
Tulare California is pronounced Two-Lair-ee. I was born near there onto a Mennonite dairy farm but dad and grandpa sold it many years ago so can’t help with a tour. Have a great time! Temperature lows likely in the 30s f, nothing like your home😉
we dont do Fahrenheit, bro
Enjoy warm CA! Blessings!
See IG message
Use an old paintbrush to smear the oil on the chain while you're pumping the oil can.
alway's great video's thank you
Good see u again sir.... God bless u
This is all so interesting, I wish you'd post your videos more often! 👍😁
Glad to see you back Jan , hope everything was ok with you great video my friend
Jan -- For your chain get some Waxoil ( used to rust proof cars -but not a underseal ) warm it in hot water then paint on or spray , will lub and coat chain and last long time .
Thanks for the vid. Like how the ladies are, checking out the camera. They don't seem to mind the loader in there, I guess they know their getting new bedding. Sounds like a fun road trip. Just you going? Also, get as many meet & greets with the other farmer youtubers, if you can.
Tulare is pronounced with the "E" on the end and is not silent. it is pronounced Tular-E with the E being prounounced. I am from the area, and want to help you. BTW, love your videos.

Welcome to California! I hope you take us on the tour of the World Ag Expo. I have family in Fresno so I'm very familiar with the ride through Tulare. Have fun!
I’m in southern idaho. We have 20-35k head dairies down here. They say they have sold out in SoCal and bought mega land for their mega dairies.
Could you imagine hand milking that many cows in a day?
Keep Canadians working, buy Canadian. We think alike, Jan.
finally get to see a video. Great video Jan. thank you
Wow, such a nice video! Your camera shots and video quality have really been I proving, so bravo to you! Some of the best shots I see in a video.
Been to Tulare twice, loved it! Not going this year or I would be looking for you! It will be much warmer that you have at home!
Jan, Jan, you are like a candy store with the door locked, show the clippers and not what you are doing with them.Lol we enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for posting about your farm and daily life. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. What is normal and mundane to you is fresh and interesting to me. I notice the vast majority of your cows are in excellent conditioning. every once in a while I see one that isn't in such good shape. For example, at 2:22 there is a white cow, #1130(?), who seems skinny. Her ribs are showing. Can you explain what you do when you see a cow loosing her conditioning or not at the conditioned level you desire? You have hundreds of cows to watch over. How do you keep track of those under condition? Thank you! Anne
Great video as usual Jan
Oh no there goes the heat!
Your cow is very healthy
We’re going to have some of our rigs there for Martin Milk Transport
If you attend, I'll fly down from Seattle to meet you for sure. It would be a great reason to attend the World Expo!
you can get chain oil in a can for motorcycle chains will work good to bud 👍
Hey Jan. How about doing a video on raising Holstein steers for beef. What are they fed? How long to market weight? What is market weight?
I just saw where Zach, the millennial Farmer and Randy the Master pipe layer are going to be at the same ag show in Cali. Maybe you guys will be able To meet up.
Jan!!!!! Where have you been?! Hope you are all well. Wish I lived in CA, if you ever come to UT let us know!!
Mooi bedrijf. En de koeien staan er prachtig bij! Groeten uit Groningen.
JAN!!!! Where have you been? Was getting ready to put your picture on a milk carton. LOL! Thanks for another great video. Stay warm and take care.
Would be fun to meet you in Tulare but it’s to far. Come on down to the beach in La Jolla some time. I’ll take you to the beach
The e in Tulare is said like the e in email. I hope you enjoy our California's central valley. I'll try to show up.
Jan, UA-camr Millennial Farmer Zach just announced he was going to the show, might see if you can meet up with him! He's a great guy with a great channel, you two would enjoy meeting, I'm sure!
You and sister are doing a great job on with vids
you will need to bring some sunblock with it will feel like summer here for you
Bus to the farm show five years ago and we wore capris and just a light spring jacket and we drove past the schoolyard and all the kids were outside swinging and they had winter coats on and winter boots and scarves and hats and mittens and we just thought wow. It's what you get used to, if you're winner there but in Minnesota here we or I should say a lot of people start wearing sweatshirts when it's 20 degrees outside.
Jan, I recommend eating at In&Out in California. They make the best hamburgers. When I lived there I always had a Double Double Animal style with fries and a vanilla shake.
Best hamburgers in the world
I hope too see u there I work at a dairy here in Tulare and hopefully I have a chance too meet u there
I'm assuming you've tried to drive down the feed alley with the bale chopper? I would think it would be much easier to bed the pen.
If you can set it up you should have an information booth at the Saskatoon ex.
My friend wants to meet and greet you at ur farm. He's currently in Banff but will be driving back to winnipeg. He's from the UK. Working in Manitoba. He's half Dutch too 😇
I find it funny that you think -20 is not to cold. Here in Texas anytime they forecast freezing or lower the whole state goes into a big panic.
Do dairy farms produce enough excess manure to run a medium sized biogas digestor? Or is there only enough to go back into the fields? Having the barns heated by the cows waste products would be a really good way to save a bit of grid natural gas.
From Bakersfield and will be at the ag expo, hope to see you
Watching the Philippines sir
Gosh love to see you but I'm in frozen Ohio! !!!who new that you could become famous being a dairy farmer! But you and your sister have done it! And a teacher too!
great video, great work ethic, Zack from UA-cam Millennial Farmer will also be at the same show/expo, have a great time stay safe😃
