why don't you give your animals heated or warm water in the winter- build a circular like corn cob storage, with chicken wire, put a big water tank inside plumb it so run cold water in the bottom and hot water out the top, put down a layer of wood chips then a layer of manure, or just all manure. this preheats water you can use this water for your shop, or even run it to a heater in your house, they do this in France and Germany. Free heat from composting chips or manure. Water gets hotter than 90 degrees in the winter. you now have th e idea, cheap , easy, a free heat.
