Do _not_ teach that thing karate 💀
... and bulletproof!
It already knows all types of martial arts and it can decapitate a human in seconds
How is it going to protect you when someone breaks into your house? 😄
Unitree is Chinese so it would be Kung Fu
Real steel about to get real
0:26 Opens the soda bottle with so much aggression,it spills out half of its content .
Yeah, I noticed that too. Yikes. Not what I want in my robotic assistant.
I think it's more for the meme, and less about the practicality. there is a tiktoker who does this a lot.
2:04 It drops bread on the second flip too, before they cut out the video.
@@ssukhdevinto the pl
@@ssukhdevnot really, it aims at the plate.
Actually, I would really like to see robotic guide/assistant "dogs" for the blind. Those would be very helpful.
Would really make a lot of difference 👍👍
Until you have to charge them.
Ya but they can't do the doo doo on that guys front lawn you don't like
@@theflowpowa42oshow That's ok. I'll just carry some D-cell batteries in a baggy and drop them in the lawn.
Not only assistants, but bodyguards as well.
It costs 16K ? I can finally give my friend a thumbs up to start his restaurant . Get 4 of these and you're good to go
💀 They don’t even have proper hands yet. These definitely cannot run a restaurant in place of a human (yet), but okay 😂
@@Hattori6486 Of course you will still need a human but not 5

Hands are $100,000 each.
Yep ❤
Make sure you know where the kill switch is
before powering it on.
a remote killswitch in case it bugs out and starts helicoptering or something
1:48 One hundred pounds!? Is it my imagination, or did that guy just flex a 100 robot like it was nothing?
That guy could be a robot too.

Wonderful Presentation it's going to be Amazing to see Humanoid Robots Evolution and perspectives
I think people need to remember Boston Dynamics holds many military contracts, so just think about the things they don’t show you….
Imagine that Unitree is only a private enterprise and allows public purchase.
Then the US military purchased Chinese machines. From drones to robotic dogs
unitree has mounted a machine gun turret on one of their dogs and sold it to the PLA, it's no secret that both BD and unitree make weapons lmao
Whatever he’s picking up at 1:49 does not weigh “a little over 100lbs”.
Just checked, they say it weighs about 77lbs, but that dude must never skip arm day at the gym.
Yea that was a pretty clean lift for almost 80 pounds. Especially because he pushed it like diagonally upwards
Probably they removed the battery.
@@reymy99no. Simply, bit Is a lie??? That stupid thingnis made plastic and It Is more of a kid Toy than a serious thing. Aldo trasformerà Toy robots do what It does. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣The key Is AI, without It these things are useless.
@@raffaelecafiero3608AI and moveability are the two equally important parts of these robots. There is a time and a place for both to be shown off. In this video they show the moveability. That does not mean they lack in AI. The 2 parts are not mutually exclusive
@@mackan7086 the problema Is that they lie. That thing is very light. It doesn't weight 100lbs, ma sybenit weights 50lbs. This Is important because to have smooth movements on a lighter robot Is much easier .

Robot: Caber tosses object on platform
Stop tryna to kick the robot fella! He’d fight back someday.
Universal basic income 👍
Yeah welfare for everyone!!!!
That would be a big help to seniors clean the house , clean the yard , help getting dressed, and a good chess player , and a great camping buddy to gather wood and welding and fabrication, 16,000 is pricey for seniors
I wonder if these new robots will be able to be taken into stores and amusement parks to go on rides.
I wonder why no one has tried to put a backpack on a robot because that's the simplest thing you could have a robot do. A robot drink cooler would be interesting
Since all the factory in producion line areas have flat floor whitout step a bipedal robot is stupid just put 3 or 4 weels, less component more easy to mantain and fix
Gizmoduck is the best!
16k for a robot. That is less than an employee working minimum wage part time. I mean once these things can actually do real human work it’ll be incredible.
You mean it'll be incredible if we'll be able to find any job after that?
UBI here we come.

We won't have to anymore.
Thanks for posting
I see more manufacturing automation coming with these robots, and with the help of AI they can also be used in agriculture/farming etc. 2 of these humanoids working on alternative shifts (while one is charging) could easily replace a worker for about $32,000 to $40,000 total, and obviously the investment would pay off within less than a year, given that they can work double the human hours per day to say the least. Furthermore such technology could be used in space and inhospitable environments, for example building a base on the Moon or on Mars, or just building stations in Earth orbit. There are so many advantages of such technology, and I'm very thrilled to live at a time that it's developed and implemented.

Whose ready to have these things do all our work so we can all stop arguing and be better people yayyyyy
Dream on
@@victormarshall7109 oooh ahhh this time it’s gonna work!
But then who pays you for work you no longer do??
@@donb3026 the government will have to implement UBI. It’s quite literally the only way forward, if they don’t then the people will demand it just as every other social or economic issue has been protested

Erm......
Lets be honest, Boston Dynamics are on a whole different level.
16000$😂
boston is cgi
You are honest and dumb
Unitree has only copied the exterior aesthetics of Boston Dynamics. The most complex thing about a robot is what goes inside. The Chinese have done again the only thing they know how to do: COPY
Even if so, but what's the use if no one can affort it. Unitree is a very young company and has made progress rapidly beyond anything Boston dynamics can ever dream in such duration, I think the future is brighter for Unitree in what's possible for consumers.
Both are 20 years away!
Even more impressive is how this guy is casually lifting 100+ lbs 1:48

Roger! Roger! 🤖
They should ALL have an emergency OFF SWITCH!!!
:44- that is a painful way to pull a dog back😂
to be honest, we haven't really seen much of Boston dynamics new atlas, if at all anything, since they JUST announced it, so we can't automatically assume unitree wins, but so far, in terms of smoothness and looks. Boston dynamics definitely beats unitree, while united is shown to do lots of very impressive things, Boston dynamics has been doing robotics in bipedal work for over almost a century. but, I do see that both will have very different pourpuses, unitree's robot is most likely and will be used for public and civilian use, due to its lightweight design but low motor dexterity, while Boston dynamics design is more bulkier, and its far more dexterous control, as shown in uprighting and walking. Will be used for manufacturing and high stressed jobs, most likely, heavy duty industries and work. and for all of you bots who comment "unitree is just better, or Boston dynamics is just better just because it looks cooler or because I said so. most robots are in fact revolutionary, and could change the way the world works forever. hope this debate helps "ps, I meant both robots are in fact revolutionary"
Boston Dynamics was founded in 1992, why do you claim a century of work in bipedal movement?
Why does NASA send these robots into space to explore the Moon?.
The robot could set up the platform on the Moon to receive humans. Julio
These robots rely on really high-end computer chips that will not survive a single minute in space. Look up “cosmic rays” for more info.
That Is what elon musk plans to do. SpaceX, tesla Electric Cars, humanoid robots are all parts of a big plan. Cannot you see It???
That’s almost a good price point!
Waiting for a robot sonic
What could possibly go wrong?
Everything : strong , dangerous 😮
Two companies changed the way they show their robots.
jurnalist: this is a trend
Future is both exciting and scary at the same time
Boston Dynamics' Atlas robot looks a lot like Mav1s from the movie Love and Monsters
More like J.Jonah Jameson's robot used against spider man in and old comics
I wonder how much work I can actually do.
Nobody mentions the. Charging port..its on its side...🎉🎉😂❤
It doesnt surprise me honestly that we are taking science fiction to non-fiction. How comfortable or uncofortable do we want our lives to become? Another game theory environment with these included or perhaps depopulate and send these with our offspring to other worlds, transforming our existence completely and occupying other galaxies.
Uni-who? Some shop without a Wikipedia page? Have they shipped anything?
Lots of people shilling that we are at the verge of robots replacing humans to pump stocks. Automation has existed for a long time in big factories and trickle down to smaller factories overtime
I mean elok musk is now saying working will be a hobby because robots are going to do all the work and everyone will get an income. Sounds insane but don't think corporations won't replace every human if possible.
Those new robots could be our saviors.
No, they are going to kill all humans. Terminator is born ! 😢😮
Or our dimise.
@@craigcornock1071 the belief initially, now maybe not so much.
I am wondering how this could effect Amercian manufacturing.
Well I want one. I wonder if they would build me a special one, trained to be a bodyguard, laser rangefinder, radar detector, gas detector, carbon dioxide detector, bug detector, hidden camera detector, smoke detector internal fire extinguisher first aid kit pouch and last but not least bulletproof chest plate"something you could hide behind. Oh I forgot the sound recorder with a parabolic dish ear and a video recorder . Night vision thermal vision all Bluetooth compatible.
Competitionis good
Give Unitree robot chat gpt 4o and that's complete robot for me.😅
Then someone will tell you tesla optimus has a chance against these.
The Thing ist Not Walking or climbing Stairs to be usefull. The Usefullness lays in the handcoordination. And so far Teslas Optimus is ahead of Both.
Tesla is a real company with factories to make actuators and motors and batteries
Funnily enough Google sold Boston dynamics to Hyundai a serious car company
As the purpose is to eliminate the general assembly line of a car factory first
But BD actually copied Tesla with an electric only version of atlas bot hydraulic so it proves Tesla Optimus was the right idea
The Tesla thesis is its car AI takes camera input, builds a 4D model of the agent's surroundings, and then plans and executes a route to safely accomplish some goal. That ability should transfer well to a humanoid robot, one that also benefits from Tesla expertise in actuators, batteries, and power management.
We'll see.
Does it attack intruders and protect my house/cars while I sleep? That’s great for $16,000
El precio, es ridiculo😂
@@cristoferdelacruzhiraldo no es para un robot. La mayoría cuestan más de $100,000
CHAPPIE!!!
How come they look almost identical?
Because cinese copied from BD, obvious.
Instead of competing between companies, they should all collaborate together in the creation of something more modern, dynamic and advanced.
I like you video very much
Plot twist. You're a robot.
from the very beginning, Chinese engineers know that Hydrophilic power doesn't work well for building complex robot, they choose to go electric power, Boston only realized it recently, who is the winner is obvious now.
Can’t wait to meet the first real robot
Wait until Germany has its new high-performance batteries ready, then you can make the robots bigger and more powerful! :D
Would America spend billions to build a giant fighting robot? YES for sure xD
im sure they can handle an aK47.
Limitations?... Yeah.. Politics
In 50 years time it will be a war between humans vs robots….I called it here first…
They should make it mandatory: all humanoid robots torso must be made of soft gel, so bullets can penetrate their main components.
G1 vs V1
AI and Robots are taking over
Put A.I. in that robot and human are doom
Isaac Asimov's "Three Laws of Robotics":

"When a human punches or kicks you, kindly redo the favour, at threefold strength, as token of appreciation and giving this respect back."

Causality, it sucks, when justice is implied, doesn't it?
I’m just waiting for one that has a proper, firm, yet gentle and soft, woman’s grip
"The Robotic Manipulation" Big Bang episode where Howard Wolowitz designs a robot arm, then gets caught in its grip and has to go to the emergency room!
It is the destroyer from thor movie 🎉
If I see ONE more dancing robot video...!!!
Do robots run on electricity???
Many do
Let's compare robots from their promotional demo videos... Yup.
Let’s be honest these firms will be human beings nightmare. Not us but our grandchildren will live terminator’s age.
Why does atlas kinda look like v2 xd
0:26 all products made with the finest Chinesium
This thing will replace Chinese army 😂
Hi
Shouldn't be any limitations. I know people FEAR change but its change that also creates innovation.
Ie. If we can replace most jobs with robots, this mean LONG TERM the economic model for the world will change. Because no ones going to hire a robot over a human unless a human gets paid so they have money to buy whatever the product being made is.
So perhaps eventually a company only makes a 3-5% profit annually and pays governments most of the profit and when you add all of these up and pass the profits back to the people they get a free living wage for just being a consumer?
Anyway you see my point. This capitalist model will always destroy itself just like everytime in history. But whatever model we move to we can learn from those failures and try to be better.
Give us more and more features because while your still working on that I'm just finishing on our global problem
Men of culture all thought the same thing at :03 seconds don't lie 😆🤣😆
Pay license to keep it active.

The technology is cool cool and all. But whats the point of all that? Is it just to fulfill some SciFi fantasies?
For now I don't really see the use.
Except Boston dynamics shows a video of this actually doing useful stuff that industrial robot can't do
Or doing stuff better than human.
Or lifting better than human.
Because I don't think they can handle delicate stuff.
But if it can lift more than a man, then it's useful.
If it can't, it just waste of money.

Who asked for this and why do we need?
People are scared that A.I. and Robots will take their job, yes they will but on the other side advancement in A.I. will open doors to new jobs too 😊
But the AI can do those new jobs too, right?
According to Elon musk yes. He just said it will replace all jobs. The media and ceos always say it will create jobs to not scare their people. Even sam Altman or another top ai person said it's not a matter of if but when the first billion dollar company will have no employees.
@@michaellaurenzi6054 Sam Altman also said he doesn't know any large company that increased profitability that didn't hire more employees. I can't remember if he said human employees though.
