Mr Hall, you are one very VERY talented man. I fell in love with you as lead singer/keyboardest with TOP. You are one bad-ass super soulful vocalist, master musician (keys, drums, bass) and a great song writer "Some Days Were Meant for Rain" and sir I bow to you in gratitude. THANK YOU for all the years of practice and sacrifice to master your instruments and for entertaining people like me who truly TRULY enjoy your talent. Flip, Flop, Fly, Soul Street,The Spirit Lingers On.... You're one talented man, touched by God

Incredible. This was the lineup (era, from '85 to '87) that kept the band alive. Ellis Hall is an amazing song writer and the band delivered as always.

@@danakirkwood7516 ... They played at my college's gym. Couldn't believe only about 200 people showed up. It felt like a small party than a concert.
Short story; I was late getting to the event. I was rushing trying to find a parking spot, when suddenly someone walked in front of my car. I braked hard. The guy looked familiar to me. It was Emilio Castillo!! He just waved. Later I thought "Man, I was that close to canceling the concert!" Phew!!
This is my ALL-TIME band. Never get tired of hearing them

This is awesome! So many gems in this one... I mean come on, they dropped "Baby's Got the Power", "Boys Night out" and "Doggin' at the Cathouse" on them! If that's not enough, we get a drum solo by Ellis Hall, a LIVELY crowd, and a double encore! Rare stuff. Thank you for this - tak for at uploade!

This is sooo great for me. I have seen Tower probably more than 20 times in my life and I play bass in a TOP tribute band. I have never heard a recording where I could hear the bass as well as this concert. At first I didn't even think it was Rocco the sound on this is so different from what I'm used to hearing. So much better.

Great recording of this lineup thanks! Heard them in Montmartre a couple of times, we also made a video recording, but only one camera, and lost it long time ago. There was so much expection built up because they had cancelled several times, but it sure lived up to the expection - SMOKING!

There are many more videos that are definitely better than this one. Better sound quality. Better video quality. And a better musician lineup. Emilio and his original crew are hard to beat. He has had a multitude of different musical members, and they only seem to get better.
You'll be wowed with their blu ray releases.

@@oldschoolfunkster1 This was a great lineup - and I've heard them all. I preferred their organ and conga flavored sound from their Top 40 charting days, but they still had great players during their '80's synth period, that I also loved; not better or worse - just different.

    Love TOP!!!!!!!
This version is a more “In-Your_Face” version with the tempos faster than what most people are accustomed to.
Some people (see below) love the others more laid back (relativity speaking) Mr Braggs to the late Rick to Lenny to Hubert, etc but they provided and allowed Ellis Hall maximize his awesome talents by giving him a dedicated spotlight wheee TOP became an awesome Black Show Band with a version of Stevie to Ray singing lead
Rocco was BADASS. Imagine the next higher stage of FUNK if Mr Garibaldi was on the skins. Whoever was the drummer was basically playing straight time where Rocco said I will laid Da Funk Down!!!!!
Arrangements of the songs were slightly different where Doc was more involved and the faster tempos made the horns’ syncopated rhythms kick butt
In this concert, Ellis and the band totally connected with the audience.
    Who was the guitarist/singer
