Larry is like the cream of the crop. He's my all-time favorite TOP lead singer!

My favorite band ! But I really don't appreciate that singer, with his creamy, annoying and powerless high voice.
Brent Carter or Tom Bowes were much much better according to me, more percussive, more powerful, more funky.

Larry Braggs is one of the greatest Voices in R&B Soulful for sure. can hit all the notes. and very powerful. Not sure what you are NOT hearing?!

@@ericwilhelm2941 well he has a very nice voice indeed, but I don't think it suits that kind of music, it's too soft and "creamy" for my taste.
I prefer from far Brent Carter or Tom Bowes. Just listen to them for the same songs, you will clearly hear the difference, they are much more funky.

@@mouzicka ask Mimi and the all the band members. Larry covert it all. and yes i liked what Brent brought to the band, DEFINITELY

@@mouzickaBrent Carter is one of my top 4 TOP singers and he definitely owned “I like your style,” and Tom Bowes owned “How could this happen to me,” but as someone who has followed them since late 1970, with possibly the exception of Lenny W., no one has been as strong as Larry Braggs. He can be smooth, gritty or however you want. Check out his videos doing Tower’s best ballads.

@@marcossaenz2169 sorry I disagree with you, Larry's voice is way too smooth, too soft, to cheesy, he is almost constantly singing in head voice...
In the name "Tower of Power" there is "power", and Larry doesn't have enough I am sorry.
For this kind of music you need a percussive and strong chest voice, such as Brent Carter's who is definitely one of my favorites.
