I just got an analog heat and literally learned it in the first 2 minutes with no manuel truly an amazing piece of gear it adds a really nice depth super warm
Great video! Got an analogue heat a month ago and fell in love with it. As Dataline says, it felt like the missing part in my production process to get "that" sound - warm, fat, analogue, alive feeling. Also seeing a lot of inspiring ways in this vid to modulate the sound which i did not yet use; so thanks for the inspriation!
Awesome how the noisy audio leak from the video chip VIC-II joins the Analog Heat in the MSSIAH demo. I always thought that was noise from the SID or RF mod. A great watch and enjoyed it to the fullest! :)
Thanks for the video, and also for the humor. Seeing as you have a 'Vilnius' patch saved on your master Analog Heat, I should probably check out that Lithuanian video. Have a good holiday.
Thanks for sharing your setup and process. A little peek into your insanity :) And dude, you killed me with the C64. God that brings back memories. Just pure awesome!
wow, what a collection of musical gadgets, great demo Cenk ... cheers from Australia ... thanks to your videos I want an Elektron Digitakt and now also an Analog Heat and use Overbridge for each :D
Great video and demonstration - and also a lot of humour, love it! Running all that equipment without external mixers - even the Volca chain? See you at NAMM, I hope!
WOW. yup, i should be envious ... 2 x heat 2 x Octatrack, rytm, A4 etc etc.. but your'e so chilled Cenk - you should be Mr Humbledata... and you have a bald head - so do i, this is good! I have A4 and RTYM - i love the sound possibilities already but im waiting for a digitakt cause i guess this will be a good link to add samples and sequence other gear. Thanks for the vid but not so much thanks for making me spend so much money on this gear!!
The analog Heat is an amazing machine/ set of circuits that should have been done long ago. I have always though digital keyboards and workstations would benefit from real analog filters and envelops instead of digital emulations, it wouldn't even cost more or o=possibly as much, it is very expensive to model analog circuitry accurately and they ALWAYS miss by at least a little bit.
Hi Cenk! Fantastic stuff on here. I was wondering, does the Overhub USB hub reduce latency? I understand that it is a Multi TT vs Single TT USB hub. Just wondering if that helps reduce the overall latency. Thanks for your time.
I really appreciated this video Cenk ! Would you consider make a new one with your current setup and workflow ? Do you still use the Heat as much as you did there ?
üstad, 21:52 you need a noise gate between the compressing analog heat and the noisy output of c64. such a shame that analog heat doesn't have it. I'm sure it could be fixed with a firmware update.
No VST inst on this setup buddy. You need an OS to run a VST (computer). You missed the whole point of this video and that is "to ditch the computer" The Octatrack is a great sequencer that replaces the need for a computer.
Eric, I did not miss anything. I was merely curious about the Heats capabilities as a sound card. I understand his setup pretty well since I have the AK+Octa+Rytm.
Petty, Petty Sweet I just wonder if an iPad Could get more interesting with an analog Heat ? Besides working with stems from pro‘s i asked myself if the mix i end up, is actually my mix? If i spend an amount of at least ten Hours with it, i end up in similar phrases... do i more pay as a Amateur producer for the quality of a longer signalchain, or a big Studio with great machines? Or is this just my feeling about buiz of Electronic Music?
Hey Cenk, will you please answer my question? All of your videos are major inspiration for my music writing. Do you run your TB-03 or TR-09 thru the Analog Heat? If so, which one or do you run them both thru it. Also, how would you say Analog Heat has worked for making the TB-03 sound like more like original 303? Lastly, Sherman Filterbank 2 or Analog Heat? Thanks man.
I like this videos, when Mr.Dataline explain how AFX do that...:D only joke of course, but I must upgrade my equipment with ELEKTRON machines... looks like usefull tools...
great demo, thank you! so how many tracks/channels are you recording in your DAW simultaneously? Are you recording your instruments separately or only the final signal form Heat?
Marek M I can do both, all the instruments shown on the control panel can record individually on ableton, i personally just recording the main out from the Heat shown. I think I mention that through the video :)
Hi there! love the video, and I'm very stoked about the new version of Overbridge. I have a question, regarding your use of the Octatrack, at 15:20. You unmuted the tracks 2 and 3 and they started playing on the downbeat of the next bar. I own an Octatrack (and a Rytm and a Analog Four and a Monomachine - fan boy!) but I have to say I never used my octa this way. How did you set up these tracks to behave this way? Thanks in advance!!
Thanks for the nice vid. As far as i can see you don't use the internal soundcard anymore. According to the overbridge 1.15 a "Professional, low-latency audio interface with low jitter" is required. What would you recommend?
hey Dataline. Great video ! Just a question : isnt it a bit of a waste to record you wonderful elektron machines trough Overbridge than trough a great soundcard ? I've noticed a significant quality loss betweenthose two techniques. But of course with the sound card the input number is important...
MrPeyghman hmm, you see I am not the right person to comment on sound cards... What I can say that using analog heat in this way to record master output has been working really well for me..
Hey Cenk! I'm curious, in your setup do you usually use the OT for sampling and sequencing? If so, I'm guessing Ableton just winds up being used for recording?
Y is all his stuff working so nice. I have nearly the same setup: octatrack, AR, A4, AH all into overhub. But it's always a struggle with overbridge. Don't get it. I searched trough all the threads on elektronauts but no one can help me. Aaaaaa why?!? By the way merry Christmas peeps!!!
@ Johann Ostertag. Same here, whatever settings I try with overbridge, at some point it's like someone puts a huge ringmodulator on the masterbus. Don't know what I am doing wrong .... Still love those machines ofcourse ....
I have a broken op-1, Three pocket operators and a cracked copy of ableton. How do people afford setups like this and not feel like gearheads? Two Heats? Id feel guilty if i bought one of them.
Love u mate! Great stuff. Happy xmas ⭐
I just got an analog heat and literally learned it in the first 2 minutes with no manuel truly an amazing piece of gear it adds a really nice depth super warm
I love the fact that he's using a TR-09 and TB-03! Love my TR-8 and TB-3! More importantly, the music he's making sounds and feels great. Love it!

18:05 the other ship...thats amazing! all....thanks for sharing music staff and connections...great! big hug!
Thanks for the tour and showing us your workings. Analog heat really brings things together and makes it feel alive doesn't it
Thanks for the video, and also for the humor. Seeing as you have a 'Vilnius' patch saved on your master Analog Heat, I should probably check out that Lithuanian video. Have a good holiday.
Inspirational on both technical and creative levels... Thanks' for sharing Cenk!

Really appreciate you showing this behind the scenes bit. Thanks a lot!
awesome. have a Merry Christmas
I hope someday I can shake your hand, u r a very awesome person even before being an amazing producer. THANX
You made that transition seem so easy. Really nice job.
wow, what a collection of musical gadgets, great demo Cenk ... cheers from Australia ... thanks to your videos I want an Elektron Digitakt and now also an Analog Heat and use Overbridge for each :D
Fantastic machine setup, great studio and nice demostration. C64 is a big one ...my second PC :-)))
Great video and demonstration - and also a lot of humour, love it! Running all that equipment without external mixers - even the Volca chain?
See you at NAMM, I hope!
Haha, keeping the patterns in a booklet! Absolutely awesome :)
Thanks for sharing your setup, really informative!
this is not the Dataline studio, this is simply the heaven.
I love all your music and vids. Thanks for posting all this stuff and explaining and answering question. Very cool.
Quickshot Pro 2 joystick! Takes me back.
I like your videos because you always show new possibilities.
Wow I am impressed- I had a Commodore 64 years ago and wish I still had it!
WOW. yup, i should be envious ... 2 x heat 2 x Octatrack, rytm, A4 etc etc.. but your'e so chilled Cenk - you should be Mr Humbledata... and you have a bald head - so do i, this is good!

wow. 19:00 with the commodore 64 is a blast. i am living on SID sounds even these days. =)
Thats an amazing studio! Hope to have something like that someday
Master of Machines ...super work.
Love you and all your videos! Thank you for sharing these amazing insights.
this is amazingly smart stuff. Thank you for sharing your secrets
I'am soooo happy that i spend this huge amount of money for the heat mk II ---- it makes everything just better ^^
Amazing sounds, thanks for sharing.
Yes its magic...i need this! at the end...just before the speakers.
C64 Overbridge - haha! Love it!
Love the video man!! C64 4-EVA!!!
awesome studio!
I can hear that crunch all the way here in Detroit!
awesome demo, thanks
this was f..?&ing inspiring....thx dude!
I also want a Machinedrum as a coaster for my Overhub
C64 + Datasette + Joystick? Amazing

Where are these older computers at?I want an Atari,Amiga, or Commodore...I'm in NYC...
Very beautiful! What's the name of the song starting around 05:09 (and is this available from Bancamp)?
üstad, 21:52 you need a noise gate between the compressing analog heat and the noisy output of c64. such a shame that analog heat doesn't have it. I'm sure it could be fixed with a firmware update.
Am I understanding this correctly: he does not use any soundcard except for the Analog Heat?
BoBeats yes, analog heat is the sound card in that setup :)
MrDataline thanks mate! I am considering picking one up... but how is the latency? Is it really viable as a sound card playing VST instruments?

wow I need more stuff

brilliant video my man. appreciate it :^)
Love this man!
so the overbridge doesn't work with Sierra Mac?
Masterclass
Nice work as always.. can you use multiple instances of it for diff tracks?
What I want to know is ... what is that blue mechanical (computer) keyboard? : ). Awesome studio.

I'm so inspired by you man ! New to synths - do you recommend first synth(s) to get going ?? I trust you judgement ;)!
Analog Rytm is a good start :D That will keep you going for long time...
5:22 BEAUTIFUL
Id like to know what song it is
Beautiful video. One question: the audio routing is all done via usb for all the elektron machines or you are also routing audio?
What a cool video!!! OB Developer!! :) :) :) Great Video!
simon krusell correction :) Adeveloper

Thanks for the nice vid. As far as i can see you don't use the internal soundcard anymore. According to the overbridge 1.15 a "Professional, low-latency audio interface with low jitter" is required. What would you recommend?
ah, i just realised it's the analog heat :)
How did you get the green OLED with the orange non OLED of first edition of Analog Heat? Are we able to change out the old screen with new green?
what IO box are you using to get the different nintendo and sega console controllers into your pc?
hey Dataline. Great video !

MY GOD.

does the analog heat work as an audio interface aswell?
what's that speakers in a studio and a headphones he got?
ADAM speakers and Beyerdynamic headphones i think
please can you make a separate video on how you can afford all that gear
Working for the company that makes most of it = free!
did you ever try a sherman filterbank?
Grymt!!!

That's some serious Autechre stuff going on there
I want someone to run a gameboy running lsdj through an analog heat. omggggggggg
thanks
when playing live, do you use heat on master?
Got enough gear there?
I bet he has a few more machines in his bedroom and the bathroom just in case lol
He has a bed in his machineroom, yeah :D
What is the Track ID???
i want to like the video, but it's 999 right now, how could i?

Its got sync out, run a real 303 from it....
Analog rytm...
how did you get a job at Elektron?
I have a broken op-1, Three pocket operators and a cracked copy of ableton. How do people afford setups like this and not feel like gearheads? Two Heats? Id feel guilty if i bought one of them.
C64 Overbridge. Ha. Ha. Ha. 🥱
Paint brush.
Is this even legal ???
