I read somewhere that when she is riding off on the horse with sam at the end, apparently, he had already died from an attack or something. Hate how they ended, but that is what I read.

I like to think sam probably died sometime after she left with her family, he did chase around bandits and murders so it would make sense why at the end you see her ride off with him in her heaven because he is dead as well i mean her parents kicked the bucket like 10 years later damn crazy how hard and fast people lived back than

😢Si me dolió es que no volvería a ver a Sam en vida ,ni Sam la volvería a ver y la estaría esperando donde acordaron en primavera.
Aunque para mí parecer dieron a entender que Sam murió en algun enfrentamiento es por eso que ve y se encuentra con Elsa y cabalgan 😊❤. De otra manera no sé cómo Sam la ve e interactúa como si ella estuviera viva ,más bien se encontraron en el más allá ,así cumpliendo Elsa su promesa.

That's why the ending is great, because it shows the true tragedy of our lives and life on the Oregon trail.

I am sorry to disagree with most of the comments, but I watched it and its my favorite by far and its so deep and the music doesn’t fit at all. It should by much slower and more emotional
Thank you for the conservative criticism, but I choose this song because it had a western flare and the video is not intended to be emotional or sad. It is meant to convey a happy part of Sam and Elsa’s story.

Awful vacuous rubbish which I watched to keep my girlfriend company. She seemed to enjoy it, but the only highlight for me was when the dreadful Elsa passed on in the last episode.
