This was such an emotioanlly heavy edit for me to work on, but I'm very happy with it. If you enjoyed, please do consider leaving a like to support the video! Thank you!
@@alisonwhite3624, me too 😢. It’s was a hell of a shock. I only watched because Yellowstone had vanished off our screens. Thought it was going to replace it for me, but it was short lived 😢
My heart broke when she died because she made the movie. I wish she could be brought back for a sequel. Loved, loved this movie and would love for sequel after sequel. One of the best movies ever made.
To see Isabel go from Alexa and Katie to something as profound as 1883 is amazing, I'm so proud of her. I hope she becomes one of the defining stars of my generation!
She was just beautiful.... The lighning with yellow hair. She lived intensively, it filled my heart to know that she lived on her own way and no one else's. She was free. She is one of the greatest characters ever created in the history of cinema. Whoever inented her, kicked ass. Cheers from Brazil Elsa Dutton!
1883 is one of the best tv show experiences I've ever had. There is not a single dull moment, the dialogue and acting is fantastic and the story is so heartbreaking. This edit captures that sentiment, thank you!
My prayer for all is that Elsa live in all of us. The daughter, the lady, the high spirited, the adventurer , the loving, the loved, the killer and the warrior. To live life without rules only freedom and consequences.
Oh, Elsa. So strong, so admirable, so untamed... The soul of the Dutton family. An inspiration for every young person boy or girl. 1883 touched me deeply and so did her character. All the actors killed it in their roles and Isabel May was a revelation. Hopefuly she gets more good roles and recognition. Those final moments with her dad the both of them laying agains the tree that would become the cementery of every Dutton from that moment on have been imprinted in my memory forever. I've been strong enough to watch this entire show 4 times and the 4 times I cried my eyes out in the final episode (the first time I watched it I think I cried almost every episode) It's just such a beautiful story. It's like Elsa describes it, lots of pain and despair but also adventure and wonder. Not only that, so much important stuff about life in those 10 episodes too. This video was gorgeous. 1883 and Elsa need way more edits on UA-cam (honestly it tells a far better story than Yellowstone)
I came here seeking more of Elsa. A reminder even. I just finished the show the other day and likewise, that end scene against the tree, and her story in general, really hit hard for me. A beautifully tragic story. Seeing this bright doe-eyed girl living her best life out on the trail, while everyone else around her is depressed as shit waiting and hoping for their dream. She suffered pain but seeing that girl happy and free was wonderfully touching. Then to have it ripped away so tragically.
We just finished the series lastnight. Left a distinct feelin lingering in me man. So cool you put this together, it’s just what I needed. That accent kills me.
I cried soo much!I still hea her voice!!My great grandmother was a full blown Cherokee indian! She walked the t4ail of tears.I heard ND felt her pain. She nailed her role.Such a beautiful child.❤❤😢
this is so lovely!!! elsa's monologues were really thought-provoking, & you've done such a good job compiling them into one lovely & thoughtful video. 1883 is SUCH a good series
A beautiful rendition of a true harsh but beautiful portrayal of what our ancestors went through to discover new lands, well done. I will a,ways remember this version 1883, Thank you 🥲🙏❤️💚🇺🇸
How do you discover something that was never missing to begin with. Discover you say but its, concur steal, murder and colonise land that didn’t belong to them.
I enjoyed the show, fell in love with the ideas in it. I've always said I was born in the wrong time period. There is no freedom any more. I hear my own thoughts echoed in the words of the characters, especially her. It brings it to life more for me. The writers did good.
There is freedom. It's changed it's form. But it is there. You have to follow your heart, no matter what. And then one day, you walk right into what you've been looking for.
I remember watching this series, so many highs and lows, but what I appreciated was that it showed that, yes, that time had cool moments like gun fights and exploring unchartered territory and so on, but it was also a dangerous place where a simple mistake could cost you your life and these mistakes would come out of nowhere too. I'm so glad that someone made an edit of this pretty underrated series as I haven't heard anyone talk about the Yellowstone Origin stories and have instead talked about the main show, which, of course, is incredibly good but I do feel that 1883 is highly underrated, sure depressing at times but if your a fan of the main show, it kind of shows you how important the actual ranch of Yellowstone is to the Duttons. As for the edit? It was incredible. It gave me that same feeling I had when watching the show, that feeling of dread, but also a small feeling of hope.
This show to me was my Introduction to the Dutton family and honestly, I am so happy that it was as I felt that everything after that I watch in this "Dutton universe" has a solid foundation. To me, this show, 1883, was one of the best-limited shows I've ever watched. I am a big fan of harsh, gritty and down-to-earth Western themes. And also, I agree with you, I hardly see anyone mention 1883 these days, let alone 1923. It's mainly just discussions around Yellowstone, which is fine, but as you said, 1883 feels underrated! And thank you for this comment, and I'm glad you liked the video!
Absolutely beautiful 💔💔💔❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻 when Elsa was dying my heart felt like it was ripped out. Now thinking about Elsa and Sam at the end and he said race you. They go riding off together beautiful
This story, the visuals, the music. It represents the ugliness of the West came from the people that inhabited it. But from those people also came a will to live, a want for peace. 1883 was an amazing experience for me. Thank you for this edit. Wonderful job.
Fantastic work. Absolutely well done and worth the time you put in. Great character to choose. You should consider adding the quote “ Out here, you turn toward the pain as it tears into you, and you let it. When you do, the devil gets bored. He seeks another soul to eat. And you get to live again.” I am not sure when she says it but great line.
Sometimes there is a woman that lives so large she obliterates all conventions. Even if she is fictional, and she more likely is, she inspires. That is what matters.
1883 was such an amazing story I loved the narration felt attached emotionally as a human I'm still living trying to figure out what life is. I served during war time in combat I'm a father I'm a person trying to make sense of my life. Elsa lived and she loved I love it
Ten serial to arcydzieło. Nigdy nic nie wywarło na mnie takiego wrażenia ja ten serial. Elsa oraz przemiana jaką doświadczyła powodują ze często wracam myślami do tego serialu.
One of the best TV characters since Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones in Lonesome Dove, and I put Elsa/Isabel on that same plateau, after about the 4th episode she hit the gas and made the series HERS....we grow with her and see the world through her eyes and to my mind she is at her strongest when she gets out of the wagon when Sam comes for her with a horse for her father and she tells her mother 'I'm allowing it!'.....THAT Elsa would not have taken being slapped around by her aunt like happened on the train, she would have been the one to do the slapping around! Beautifully played by Isabel May and I look forward to what she can bring us i9n the future, and hopefully we get to see her in Flashbacks in the as yet to be filmed '1944' Taylor Sheridan series as I have been hearing about!
I envy Elsa just like her mother did. Riding the Great Plains, be as fast as the wind and loving with every breath you have. Freedom. Elsa knew what it felt like. And I want it.
@EscathonEdits The fact that the message is so important and impactful because of the nightmare we live in and those that fight for it and those that want to destroy it. It hits me in my heart and knowing what I want for myself, and my family
When I see Isabel May I see her as Katie Cooper and Veronica Duncan I just can’t picture her as someone else 😅 she did an amazing job in this “lighting with the yellow hair”
Imagine having children back then, creating a person knowing that the likelihood of them surviving to adulthood let alone old age was so slim… but they still did it, knowing the pain of losing a child would be so great. In our world it is hard to protect your child, but nowhere near how darn near impossible it was back then 😢
I find it very, very hard to watch as she lay in her fathers arms in her final moments. Her fathers anguish, her final moment when she finds peace. Have yet to watch without breaking down.
Viva! Lighting with the yellow hair.👍 What a brave and beautiful soul ske was In those days there was nothing called influencers or followers. People were genuine and had their own identity and unique persolality. To day people are more and more lIke sheeps.

Thank you for the video ~ it is exquisite. I believe in reincarnation ...I feel her experiences stir in my soul. I must have been a Native American Indian in a past existence. This speaks to my soul.
The reason why Elsa’s story made me cry was because she was the few people in 1883 that enjoyed her life. She wanted to explore, get married, have children, and be so free. She reminded me of my little sister. when she died I felt heart broken lol. She had no children, and she was so young! How many Elsa’s were there in my family line? I had to remind myself it’s just a show. Wonderful actress!
Why after all those years Her story is repeating over and over again? People will say times are different. Yes... But We still didn't learn a lesson. Peace and Love ❤️

What are Elsaa's final words? 'I'm or I'm not scared of death'?
death, the cycle of birth and rebirth..
