Nella bici so fare pratricamente tutto, ma devo prendere una bicicletta con ammortizzatori e imparare a fare questa manutenzione. Grazie per il video lo vado a salvare tra i miei preferiti.
My zoom masera has preload adjuster and that preload has stopped working when my bro fully turned it and broke it and now my suspension is kinda tight so how do i loose that spring without buying a new preload cap any idea?
Ło! No właśnie restauruję nieboszczyka Krossa Hexagona V2 z takim widelcem. Resztę ogarniam, ale ten amortyzator mnie dobił. Przywróciłeś mi wiarę, że to się jednak da rozkręcić od środka. Dzięki!!!
I have similar zoom fork (even older and more primitive) whenever I make a turn my wheel makes contact with v-brakes for some reason! It's really wobbly too... dunno if there is a sense to do something with that
This is great, it's exactly what I needed to get the idea of how to actually do it. The one thing is that I don't know where to get the tools or grease
Should always turn a crescent wrench with the moving jaw on the inside of the turn. Why not use naval jelly to remove the rust, rather than an abrasive? With all of the shxt in the forks, maybe the fork seals were bad? Forks should be rebuildable. What a waste to throw it away a whole fork because you can't buy new fork seals. I'd rather rebuild a fork than buy a new one for $200. It is incredibly stupid if a fork cannot be left in the rain. Bikes are not for sunny days only.
Amazing job. Those are probably feeling like new 👍😃🙂 8:55 what are the threaded rods for that are hanging out of the suspension inner stantions / pipes, and that bit that you slide up under the one?
I purchased a new Aventon Level E Bike in Mar 2022, after about 2 weeks the front fork makes a clunk sound when going over some bumps and it's pissing me off, it does not do this when it's locked out though, does anyone know what the issue is? Or even an upgrade fork the would fit this bike? Thanks John
expensive good quality forks work perfect, and dont have this problem, but here is the cheapest fork so quality is very poor. Generally you have to know that this fork dont have service since few years :D garbage
Zoom produces cheap steel garbage. There should be at least rubber covers on fork. I had to use so much force that fork bent, after a lot of beating and it freed up. Can I still bend back fork legs?
50 euro can be for some suntour fork. this can cost up to 30euro. The 2 or 3h spend in refreshing this fork can cost a service shop at least 30 euro. But with doing the service yourself it is worth the experience one can get while doing this.
Dont be angry bro 😎, look how was this fork before - agony , and after remove lots of mud, cleaning and lubrication, is working good , of course thia is totally budget fork but maybe this video can be helpful for someone 🙂
@@lonerbikes brother if you remove more dust from where you use abrasive sponge if you more scratch the suspension rood the remaining rust will left from fork and your suspension will work like brand new and works smoothly
Stupid restoration of not working suspension at all... Better throw it as a rubbish... Such suspension no needs to restoration it is single use and throw out far away and forget you used it ever.
Are you sure? Video might be just helpful for someone. It is dramatic condition fork but as you can see, its is still rapairable, this is only example for beginners. How to unassembly and restore this single use suspension 👌😁
Hello thank you for showing me that masterpiece of Restauration. ❤
*Was a perfect mix of value **Latest.Bike** and functionality for my 17 year old. Priced better than Mongoose with same build quality of better.*
Excellent. I took my old zooms apart watching your video, and I think the manufacturer forgot the coils. Haha.
Amazing, you have encouraged me to restore a few shocks that are from 2001 ha. Thanks! Great video!
Thanks bro, its very nice to help you 🙂

Nice job, thanks for the tutorial !
Thank you for this video, my friend's MTB needed to be restored, and you taught me how. Your channel is underrated man keep it up. 👍
Great video. I am going to try this on my zoom forks as I have most of the tools apart from the long screw driver bit
Brilliant! Very well filmed and edited. Great to see someone is encouraging restoration rather than throw away. Keep up the good work Polska.
Is glad to hear it , thx bro
I try to improve my movies and skills all the time 😉

Thanks you for tutorial of the best for me. Do all zomm forks open the bolts using a 5 mm L key?

Yes you are able
Bro can you pls provide the link of the 5mm Allen bolt ipeaner for suspension
You need to search just long allen 5mm key for cars or exactly bike suspension, but i use standard allen key with extensions from HONITON Set
Looking for a place that sells parts for the genesis v2900 factory ground force fork. Needing the rubber outer wipers.

Will the stanchions safe for seals? Will it actually need replacement eventually?
can polishing paste prevent rusting in the rain?
If you use paste for aluminium, they prevent metal by thin coat, or you can use some wax after polishing

usually compression and rebound dampeners but in this case, they just look like long bolts to thread the lowers onto
How to remove white colour plastic part of the shock absorber ?

I would have strapped vinegar to the legs with tape or plastic wrap and then used very fine sandpaper after...
Good idea, but i think that sandpaper can make some scratches, o prefer steel wool

Бессмысленное и беспощадное восстановление вилки zoom, она мертва с завода 😁
нет сначала,пока не ржавая,она работает,а вот после такого ржавления,да уже особо и восстанавливать смысле нет,если только на продажу .
😂nadie te cree , que estaba abandonada y afuera 😂😂😂😂
Bike suspension forks are such a flawed design, as they allow water and debris to flow down into chambers and seals can't stop all of it.

Should've removed the rust by electrolysis, it's fast and non abrasive.
