You need the bigger rams for those birds

You could mount a heavy duty track (like for down rigger) right there and then get the ram ball/track adapter and you'd eliminate the movement by spreading the weight across the entire piece of track

Ditch the ram mounts they absolutely suck. Go with some ballzout mounts. Expensive but they don’t move an inch. Definitely worth the money.

I have a helix 9 and 10 and used the larger ram mounts (2” ball I think) they are rock solid and no wiggle. I wanted to used the smaller ram mounts you have because they are like 1/2 the cost. Nice job on the install.

You could have ground a flat on the round base to fit the flat space

I think you might have vibrations issues on those tall ram mounts. Especially while transporting boat on trailer
