Here’s my quick thoughts on the new SDCC Avengers Doomsday announcement. Tony stark is doctor doom… kind of? Okay in this video I proposed the idea of pivoting to doctor doom, I wasn’t expecting them to make him a tony stark variant. Now I can see why marvel think this is a good idea, there both smart guys with an army of drones or doom bots, they both pocess a mechincal suit (with a similar kind of face plate now that I think about it), there biggest similarity however is that there both pro change, as rdj pointed out, new mask, same task, protect the world. Often with the mcu the villains are prochange, thanos or killmonger being strong examples, what makes them villains though is there radical approach to change, generally through destruction. Now that speaks to doom, seeing as his goal is to save the world, similar to Tony’s, heck there may be a decent story there, being - this is what happens when Tony’s ego goes unchecked, if he didn’t become iron man, but doesn’t it feel like a what if episode, what if tony became doom, it feels like where undercutting dooms actual charcater here, what makes him such a unique and interesting personality if all we can say is the best he’ll ever be is tony stark adjacent.
Yeah even if RDJ is playing Victor Von Doom, not a Tony Stark Variant, Doctor Doom will ALWAYS be perceived as an “Evil Iron Man” in the MCU, to the audiences and to the existing heroes. Which just kinda feels cheap and disrespectful to someone like Doom.
it would honestly be kinda cool if in the end doom faces tony, like you are faced with evil and good but booth is yourself, as it is in real life but maybe not, maybe it's best to let tony rest, but I dunno
I'm so sorry about this. But I have to um actually this. The symbiots were made by knull. Also we can't put the different universe different symbiot origin because knull is a multiversal being and the symbiots are multiversally connected by a hive mind.

Bro cooked. This is the best critique of the MCU I’ve seen and I like how you actually bring up ways to fix these issues instead of just ranting while offering no solution.
They don't need to be into comics, but it should be part of the work to read it and use what is there. If they don't like that idea then they shouldn't get the job...
If I remember correctly, it was said that they'll cut down the amount of films and shows they'll make from this point onwards. And considering most of the stuff we've got so far with Phase 4 and 5 was during the Bob Chapek era of Disney, where they rushed out content, regardless of quality, I do have hope we'll get back to how things were with Phases 1, 2 and 3.
@@thadmaster7yeah if they don’t do good on those movies and shows in 2025 and 2026, they can kiss marvel goodbye because after that, it’ll be absolute terminal brand damage. Marvel may end up like Star Wars is now
I think if they release a good and steady track of good, not amazing but just good movies that don't waste your time, then I think Marvel can make a recovery. Deadpool and Wolverine might be the first step to that imo.
I’d even go further into the next saga with a core number of characters for each pillar of the MCU. Spider-Man (Street and being the main character to bring all the different sections of characters together) Captain America (Sam Wilson)- Avengers Scott Summers (X-Men) Reed Richards (Fantastic 4) Captain Marvel (Cosmic) Doctor Strange (Mystical)
“Supernatural” would be a better term for doctors stranges area. That word can apply to werewolf by night, ghost rider, blade, moonknight etc. some of which bleed into street level which is good. Blends the different sections together
@@stevenmcburney8167werewolf by night would hold up maybe a mystery branch of the mcu? But even then he’s not a guy who interacts with any other characters in the mcu. Then also every other character you mentioned would be strictly street level as it’s the threats they face and not their powers that he’s been categorizing them in to. Like hawk eye and Tony stark would be grouped together under tech or some shit like that when in reality Tony stark is always taking on everything that gets thrown at him and hawk eye only gets dragged in when he needs some avengers money and is a street level hero the rest of the time. Doctor strange and Shang chi are definitely mystical while moon knight in the show is mystical but in the comics he’s mostly just a street level guy unless he’s dealing with how he got his powers. But anyways if you knew what you were talking about you’d understand that in the comics and the movies doctor strange claims to pull his powers from a mystical source and they use that word very intentionally as they use it with the mandarin as well as some others. It’s a legit part of the lore basically so there’s no point in arguing about the categorization when it’s been done by the writers.
this would be cool, but i think this will come after the end of the multuiverse saga. i don't think the avengers and the fantastic four will be together a lot before the big final movies.
If they're not going to retire the brand entirely which I get why they won't. It's still a very valuable asset but I think that's where there should be putting their energy. The MCU is done, the writing is on the wall. I think they should just cancel the upcoming unmade projects, cut their losses with anything in the can as direct to video and put a freeze on new movies for 5-10 years. But animation can be a more manageable medium for low stakes entertainment, though I'd recommend making them available on both streaming and cable.
@@mutalemwananshiku4098 idk, the rings are magical and Wong was already in the post credit scene. I’m sure they could’ve pieced together some type of story.

@@sahilmehta3703 Feige is the problem. He is just as much of the problem as Disney is. After Endgame came out, he was, unfortunately made President of Marvel Studios and he turned The MCU into The MS-he-U and ruined it's reputation.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to hiring competent and passionate people for these projects who will not only respect the source material, but also actively push for a quality and well written story while humbly presenting it to the audience (WITHOUT having to talk down on them, or blame the audience for their flops & failures). If Marvel, or heck, even any other studio doesn't realize this... Then Hollywood, and the MCU included, is still truly bleeding dry. After all, no one's trying to heal or stop the bleeding. Everyone's just trying to "justify" why it is without trying to solve it.
I agree. I love Marvel. But in every era, not everything they touch turns to gold. Marvel is great for the most part. But they do need to drop the woke crap. Hire white men again, disney. It's not racist to do so.
Pretty good. Critical without being hateful or obsessed with the type of actor being cast. It's obvious that Kevin F was stretched too thin and had no backup to ensure quality control for some projects. First: Make Good Movies is a great place to start.
1) Less projects - Let the movies deal with important stuff for multiverse Saga, while the TV shows could have more isolated projects or some small sagas involving others places from the MCU (kind like what Netflix did with the street level heroes like Daredevil and the Defenders). 2) Not hold on too much on the jokes. I don't think they are terrible, but the problem with the MCU comedy post- Endgame is the fact the films either repeat the same jokes or just hold on to them for too long, that makes the comedy goes from fun to just annoying. 3) Variety of tones and styles - After films like The Batman and Gunn's DCU projects (like Suicide Squad and Peacemaker) it's pretty clear that the public has already moved on from Marvel traditional style. The know their troopes that makes the films feel bit repetive and tiring. Marvel needs to make films more like Civil War, Infinity War, the GoG sequels or NWH (all films that have stakes, consequences and big impacts for the characters and the larger universe), that play with the people knowloge of tone and subvert their expectations. 4) Less world ending threats - Not every super hero films needs to have the hero saving the world or multiverse. Sometimes it's cool to see them dealing with small but still significant problems. The last great MCU film, GoG vol 3 was basically the Guardians just trying to save Rocket's life and evolve in them saving the prisioners of the High Evolutionary. The focus was on the heroes being heroes and saving lifes then punching bad guys and blowing stuff. Let's have a bit more of stakes like these. 5) Have an actual plan - Every since phase 4 begun it feels like Marvel hadn't idea of what direction to take after the big blockbuster that was endgame. Some project feel like they are trying to make things more isolated and not build to anything yet (natural move and allows their films to have a rest) but other feels like they want to rush to another epic film like Endgame. The fact their next Avengers film would be a two parter without even establishing who the new avengers will be it's sign of bad planning. Better slow down, breath, establish who the main characters are and then figure how to lead this films to Secret Wars.
2. Aside from thor 4, quantumania and she-hulk i dont think they go overboard with the jokes. 3. Gunn dceu projects and the batman arent in the same universe. the suicide squad also bombed. the batman did well but wasnt a dark knight hit. 4. Black widow, shang-chi, thor 4 and strange 2, hawkeye, wandavision didnt have world ending threats. 5. I dont think them having avengers 5 and 6 be a 2 parter is a sign of bad planning because those are in phase 6 and im sure by the end of phase 5 we will get a clear idea of the new avengers.
If the point of the Multiverse Saga is to end in Secret Wars, then the main protagonist should be the Fantastic Four, with the New Avengers being a red herring. Since the public already expects the next avengers to be the protagonist of this saga, Marvel could play with those expectations, making appear the New Avengers will be the protagonists of the Multiverse Saga, while the Fantastic Four could be just a secondary team, having their adventures on their side of the MCU (kind like what the Guardians of the Galaxy were in the pre-Endgame films), only to pull the rug out and the New Avengers being defeated by the main villain and have the Fantastic Four being the ones who will save the Multiverse. Ps: Speaking on the New Avengers, I think the line up should be: Captain America (Sam Wilson), Captain Marvel, Hercules, Shang Chi, Shuri (Black Panther), Hawkeye (Kate Bishop) and White Vision
Spider-Man SHOULD be the new leading character for the MCU, problem is Sony just wants to keep bastardizing the property with shit like Venom, Morbius, Madame Web etc. because they hate the audience.
Excellent video. I think Marvel’s early success came from making unique genre films with a superhero lead. Captain America is a war movie, the sequel was a thriller. GotG was a sci fi romp, Thor was a Shakespearean family drama. They need to rediscover the stories that made these great. And appointment filmmakers who understand that. I agree, there needs to be a trio of leads, and agree that Spider-Man should be one, but what it really lacks are leaders. They all feel like good fighters, but leaders? I don’t have an answer (save introducing FF), but I really hope they find their feet again. Meanwhile, excellent video. Keep ‘em coming!
Also Mitch, good job on the video buddy, you sound like you care without at all being hyperbolic or cynical. Passionate but not angry. Hope Marvel really knows that you want the best for them like The rest of us.
It would be really cool to see Spiderman grow up, and become a more mature individual. We can watch his storyline from becoming a kid into an adult, and start following the leadership Tony stark had taught him. I think it would be really great character development for him, and he can eventually lead to the next avengers. In the first phase, many hero's didn't take spiderman because he was a kid. Then the other hero's perspectives of spiderman start to change and they follow behind him. It would be absolutely impressive to see unfold in the theaters, I think.
12:05 Knull, God and Creator of the Symbiotes, is a big antagonist for the cosmic side and has huge ties to the Celestials. He was the one who killed the Celestial that formed Knowhere, using the Necrosword, the first Symbiote. The issue being, Venom. Sony does not easily let Marvel use any character, let alone ones they plan to use for their films, in MCU Spidey films and especially in other MCU films. (See Kraven in Black Panther)
They fucked Marvel up so bad that in my opinion the best way to fix things is to completely start fresh. All this multiverse and time mumbo jumbo has gotten way too complicated. Starting fresh could mean, simpler stories with complex characters. That could result in good fucking movies again. Like, why was Marvel good at first? Because it had few characters on screen and could actually explore their personalities, their pasts, etc. A full rehash and everything might sound very impractical and exhausting especially for those that already know all the stories, but they could take some creative liberties with good ol' characters and tell new stories. Maybe.
Ye i agree for them to revive marvel with there current universe we're asking for these writers and kevin feige etc to basically be perfect and thats not possible. Just start fresh make these characters loveable, likeable. Standout and not be these charismatic always joking tony stark bots. Stop always trying to make the universe connected. If it happens it will happen.
i think they should give a decent shot at finishing what they started with the multiverse saga, but i do agree that secret wars, whenever it comes out, should end in a clean universe reset to start fresh with.
From ny readings on marvel. It's always been about smaller groups (x-men, fantastic 4, avengers, the defenders, the inhumans, and so on) and the vigilantes (spiderman, jhonny cage, daredevil, ghost rider, and so on) and how they deliver on the world as a whole. The first era was mostly about the avengers (and in a small portion the guardians of the galaxy with a little help from wanda) and focusing on another group would be the target. Fixing marvel is hard... and I'm more of a dc guy so... thats my take hehe 😅
Phenomenal video essay brother. Perfectly articulated what so many fans have felt over recent years. The mini edit at 9:30 got me hyped. Beautiful work!
I have a pitch of my own. Sokovia is so instrumental to the MCU narrative. It was the battleground for Avengers Ultron. It was the impetus for Civil War (the Sokovia Accords). It was a nation marginalized and forgotten by the world. MAKE SOKOVIA THE MCU LATVERIA. It's such an organic intro to Doctor Doom, a perfect way to introduce a strong man savior who will champion his people. And surely there is Ultron tech just lying around that place for him to assimilate into his techno-wizardry position.
As a life long superhero comic film fan who is now in the middle of writing an original superhero short film based on a mixture of themes from the X-Men, Spider-Man, & Watchmen, this video has made me realize that an important element for modern day superhero filmmaking (arguably established by the MCU) is intention. I feel most recent superhero films have failed overall due to the right intention or lack there of to create these stories.
I want Michael Giacchino to make a sequel to Werewolf by night or better yet a follow up movie based on the Legion of Monsters or Midnight Sons characters a movie based on those characters that gets theatrically released it'll be cool if it's a black and white movie that would be a cool experience in theater man
If Deadpool succeeds in these 3 things, then marvel might have a chance. 1. It is an enjoyable movie that doesn't entirely revolve around comedy but creates a Deadpool balance of story and humor. 2. Semi set up a new face or possible team for the MCU. 3. Tease a new big bad/ avengers level threat that actually poses a threat on something other than the multiverse.
Well after Deadpool and Wolverine I have hopes for marvel. They slowed down, decided to take their time on projects, and now divided their ip to grounded, tv, cosmic, and multiversal stories now
I’m really excited for Reed as well! Cyclops too! Though it would be cool if secret wars allows them to recast cap and iron man so they can interact with them and Wolverine etc…
I still follow an animated series that started in 2011, which originally featured a shorter pilot season and 2 full-length seasons. Since then, it has been through 3 reboots, and has been expanded from 2 seasons to 18 as of July 2024. The latest reboot features a multiverse (of course), multidimensional new characters, fresh character arcs for legacy characters, and revamped worldbuilding. The best aspect (in my opinion) of the newest reboot is that it also functions as its own story, independent of its preceding seasons. Successful reboots are more than possible, but only if enough time, effort, and care is put in during the production process.
Im genuinely happy with probably ending My MCU journey after Deadpool and wolverine. 1. There's SOOOO many movies that i can't keep up plus i crave something different every now and then. 2. Yes I LOVE marvel but even i get tired of the same stuff. And i say that as someone that loved guardians 3, black panther 2 and no way home. 3. I agree, they need to make me CARE again. And to an extent Yes im hopeful with Deadpool and wolverine. But like I said it's where I may end my journey.
One way (which is not happening anytime soon but i hope for it to happen) is for Marvel to buy Spider-Man rights and make him the face/one of the faces of MCU
Sony won't sell. And he's had his trilogy as well as 2 avengers movies. The mcu needs to move on to its next arc. Best bet, move onto magic & monsters, blade, elsa bloodstone, werewolf by night, ghost rider, moon knight, man thing. Build an avengers monster hunters edition
@@sandmaker47 I really need a Midnight Suns movie. That's the things that's been getting me. They already laid out pieces for the different crossover teams, yet they haven't acted on any of them sooner.
@@sandmaker47Yeah they definitely could use the Midnight Suns as the R-rated supernatural/mystical horror side of the MCU. Utilize characters such as Wong/Strange, Blade, Moon Knight, Black Knight, Werewolf By Night, Elsa Bloodstone, Man-Thing, Agatha Harkness, Nightcrawler, Magik, Ghost Rider, Scarlet Witch, Nightmare, & Mephisto. They also need the Heroes for Hire/Defenders aka street-level Avengers: Spider-Man, Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, & Echo Mayor Kingpin would make a perfect big bad for that team in a gang war plot.
What you have to do is tell character driven stories. Wanda's story arc has been driven by tragedy and how she deals with it. That is the reason that she is one of the most popular characters in the MCU. There are still so many stories they can do to continue her story arc. How does she regain the respect of her peers? How does she regain her self respect? After WandaVision and MoM, her reputation has been shredded. In the comics, Wanda has ties to the multiverse as she is a nexus being. She should also be one of the faces of the Multiverse Saga. Love and Thunder should have been a powerful story. Jane is dying of cancer. How does she process the fact that she is dying? She should get a resurrection arc and she decides that helping people is more important than living in paradise. Not being a comic book fan is not a bad thing. Jac Schaeffer created one of the best MCU projects in WandaVision. It was almost completely original. It did have a loose relationship with the House of M but it was largely original. I would rather see someone who is a good dramatist developing these shows.
What I think could revive Marvel is the advice to just 'Keep it simple' and not make it some unrealistic and cringey galaxy warfare story of some sorts. Just make it realistic & relatively easier to understand for once, since not every viewer is willing to do some research on what they're viewing.
Super Frame: *suggests Holland’s Spider-Man is the natural choice to take over Iron Man’s role as the MCU’s new anchor* HiTopFilms: *overwhelming screeching*
Their biggest roadblock at the situation is that they don’t have enough time. Doomsday is coming in 2 years and the big finale, Secret Wars, is coming in 3. That’s not enough time to properly develop characters to make the audience care about them. If marvel wants to get back on track, they need to delay the 2 avengers films to flesh out characters like Spider-Man, Shuri, Captain Marvel, Captain America, etc.
At this moment in time I am just here for Spiderman and Deadpool films. I couldn't care less about everything else but hopefully they might be able to turn it around if Deadpool and wolverine booms. Because they are most likely going to soft reboot it.
Make Peter go head to head with Doom the Tony variant and I'm back in the MCU game! I honestly think if they play their cards right they might just have some of the most emotionally packed dilemmas and conflicts there, which would be enough to gain back people's trust in the direction the new avengers are going. We love what both of these characters represent and they could lay a strong foundation for the old fans to follow even if they're not into the new characters. (Extra points if they get Spidey to work with Daredevil and Deadpool, specially now that he has to start everything over after No way home, fans have been killing themselves for that for years now)
The best and easiest solution is to make the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Spider man be the new focus of the MCU. They also need to make more stand alone movies that aren’t as interconnected so that when a team up happens, it actually feels special and necessary to stop a looming threat. Those are the three biggest IPs that marvel studios has and they need to lean into them. I think the Avengers story concluded and they need to get away from that. Building an “avengers saga” style narrative focused on entirely new stuff using X-men, FF, and spidey would be great. I say abandon most all of the phase 4 storylines and start with brand new stories centered on new characters in the MCU (and spidey). Spidey is even kinda new because no way home left the door open to start over and have nobody remember him existing in universe. It could essentially be like starting a new phase 1 of the “Mutant saga”, or something similar.
Great video. Seeing how many people involved in Marvel don't know anything about the comics is off-putting. I'm not really big into the comics myself, mainly because it feels like a lot to get into but I'd expect producers and directors at least respect the source material. Especially with a brand like Marvel, where every story intertwines with one another. My sister and I are more casual enjoyers and are mainly tired of every story now involving traveling to other dimensions/timelines. It makes us feel like there isn't many stakes. If x person dies, why not just get them from another timeline? or timetravel to before it happened? I'm aware this also happens in the comics and that there's contradictions because that's bound to happen once you have this many issues published. However the movies are a second chance to present the stories from the comics and to see them wasting that chance feels sad. I'd like to see a story where we stick to the character's own timeline so I can focus on their reality and their feelings and so said stakes return again. I hope Marvel steps their game up, as I've really enjoyed their movies.
I think its a mistake that they aren't doing an avengers film until the big endgame type film. This i why they feel so disconnected. Avengers and age of Ultron made the team feel like an actual team.
There is no saving MCU. One or two good films won’t repair the overall damage done to the brand Agatha All Along is a clear example of how they usually do things. People tend to forget that the creators of D&W had to fight Disney on many things to make the movie what it was. What do you think will happen to projects run entirely by Disney?
If I was in charge of, my plan would be: 1-Make endgame the true end of the MCU 2-take a five-year long break 3-During that break, search comic-book writers and filmmakers who are actual comic-book fans, NOT Rick and Morty writers, who could be seen as trustworthy and up for the task 4- Make an entirely new storyline for the people producing the movies and series to follow. Yes, I'm talking about rebooting the MCU. 4- Give Disney the finger
Exactly ON POINT. The END was Endgame and I checked out afterwards. Bring in commonly known characters (like Wolverine?! next week) and things will feel worthwhile again.
Loved the video, and also have been following for a couple of months now. Do you have a formula for editing? I really got hooked with the way the editing goes and the narration that runs smooth with the whole video.
hey man, yeah the basic 'structure' of my editing follows one simple rule, Am i asking a question or providing an answer, keep doing either one of these to keep the video engaging

Not sure if it’s solely my country but Spider-Man was always the most famous Marvel character which is loved by everyone. So, I agree with your theory. Btw it would also be fun to get a Spidey / Deadpool story in the future as side kick.
I think the idea of having the three leaders being Cap, Spider-Man, and Strange that is a great idea. Cap can be the leader of the Avengers, Spider-Man be a street level leader for the younger heroes, and Strange can lead the new Illuminati with Reid and Proffesor X.
I’d love to see a version of the Bendis New Avengers - Doctor Strange - Spider-Man - Wolverine - Luke Cage - Iron Fist - Ronan - Echo However considering Luke Cage and Iron Fist aren’t really MCU proper as of yet maybe have Sam Wilson (Captain America) replace him and Shang Chi replace Iron Fist and if Jeremy Renner doesn’t come back then maybe Kate Bishop or Yelena could replace him as Hawkeye/Ronan
Well written and made video. I was 21 when I started watching marvel movies in 2008 and here I am post ENDGAME, trying to figure out wtf happened to them. Deadpool and wolverine looks promising, but like you said, they need to build more characters than just make movies. We got to know Tony, Cap and Thor before the Avengers actually assembled.
I couldn't agree more - Marvel has to show audiences that they care and acknowledge the comic book material they're adapting. I also found your review on the Spectacular Spider-Man series to be one of my favourite videos on your channel, being a fan of the show myself.
We're hitting a payoff era now though. Deadpool & Wolverine, Thunderbolts, and Young Avengers ties together a LOT of characters and setup from otherwise disconnected stories
Frankly, I don't think we should save it. It had its moment but it's done. Let it die. There are other things to enjoy. I'm personally getting back into The Hunger Games fandom now that Collins is writing more books. Also, and this might be a bigger element, A lot of the fans aren't kids anymore. I was 16 when I became a fan. I'm 28 now and I have a full-time job that takes up so much of my energy. I don't have time to obsess anymore. I don't have summer vacation or winter break or any real free time unless I get it approved for PTO because if I don't I starve. And I have a feeling it's the same for a lot of former fans. My best friend is similar. She works a part-time job and is finishing up her Masters. It takes up all of her energy and we meet up do you want to know what we do? We go hiking because we would rather be outside. It's okay to let things end, cause I think we're seeing that keeping things past their sell-by date doesn't work.
I know that this is a lot to ask, but I would love to see your plan for the MCU moving forward. i.e. What should they scrap, what specific stories would you tell beyond what is planned
The problem is, making shows and movies no one asked for. We still have Agatha, Ironheart, Wonderman, Vision Quest coming out. All of those will have ballooned budgets with very low viewership. Then Brave New World and Thunderbolts will most likely preform like Ant Man 3 did which will result in box office failure.
Watching this after D&W and he definitely brought back my love for the MCU especially with his jokes of it being at a bit of a low point lol.. but we do def need a "main character" that can guide the story in a way that the general audience can follow since after No Way Home and Loki (Greatest MCU project imo) I honestly haven't been keeping up with all these projects they bring out.
I agree on the point of oversaturation... Same with Star Wars, too much will make it seize to be magical and special. It would be like if your birthday or christmas was celebrated every two months...you wouldnt even have enough tome to build up anticipation and enjoy experiencing it.
I don't fully understand how you want the world to change, the world of marvel in this case. Yes, good character drama and story is what really these movies need but can you elaborate on the part about changing the world and moving it foward?
Spiderman a recast black panther when chad died and Dr strange before they kept dumping on him every change they had. What should have been the next trio.
I think recasting Chad would have been too disrespectful. But I agree, Disney kept messing around with Doctor Strange 2 which was okay but just didn't feel it was very good (Disney did not like the violence planned in the movie, they changed the red blood to black)
@@mutalemwananshiku4098 Wanda Maximoff was originally supposed to have blood splattered on her face, Disney felt it was too violent so they change the blood to black blood from the robot blood splatters (and they changed directors)

One writer not being into comics at first is fine. But that's way too many writers not being into comics working for the MCU. Lol.
Some of them said that Marvel Studios told them not to read any comics. It's a two-sided issue.

I think the next two years are gonna be the true make it or break it for the franchise, seeing as those projects had plenty of time in the oven.

I’d even go further into the next saga with a core number of characters for each pillar of the MCU.
Spider-Man (Street and being the main character to bring all the different sections of characters together)
Captain America (Sam Wilson)- Avengers
Scott Summers (X-Men)
Reed Richards (Fantastic 4)
Captain Marvel (Cosmic)
Doctor Strange (Mystical)
“Supernatural” would be a better term for doctors stranges area. That word can apply to werewolf by night, ghost rider, blade, moonknight etc. some of which bleed into street level which is good. Blends the different sections together
That looks like a good lineup for the MCU’s Illuminati.
@ThaUltimateHunterare we still bullying this woman 😭 it’s been like 5 years
@@stevenmcburney8167werewolf by night would hold up maybe a mystery branch of the mcu?
@ThaUltimateHunteryeah I just don’t think captain marvel is working. They’ve given her enough chances and it’s just not it.
Personally, I think Reed Richards should be the Tony Stark, and Peter could be captain America, and they could butt heads similar to the comics

maybe a new avengers team with pedro pascal and tom holland, though new avengers is a stretch as chris evans and rdj cant be replaced.
Or maybe Spider Man starts a new food truck. Anything is better than what it is now.
yeah! they should first make fan 4 movie!!!
this would be cool, but i think this will come after the end of the multuiverse saga. i don't think the avengers and the fantastic four will be together a lot before the big final movies.
Honestly, after X-Men 97, I'm investing more in the animation side of Marvel.
Shang-chi should have been in strange 2 and maybe another one. He’s a good character who could be a Hawkeye type level avenger

Every franchise has its highs and lows it'll get better for Marvel eventually I'm still enjoying everything man
Agreed.

Yeah….i sort of see Iron man to Endgame being the main story with far and nowhere home as a sort of epilogue
I’d add Guardians 3 and Deadpool and Wolverine to the epilogue as well.
Thats actually not a bad idea.
Spider-Man SHOULD be the new leading character for the MCU, problem is Sony just wants to keep bastardizing the property with shit like Venom, Morbius, Madame Web etc. because they hate the audience.
Venom is not on the same level as morbid and madame web
More Special Presentations would be nice hour long content that’s jump right to the story
I feel the special presentations are too short, they should be an hour and a half at least, instead of 40-50 minutes. Not enjoyable if it's too short.

8:52 [stark] should stay dead 😂 RDJ is now dr. Doom
Spiderman? No, the correct way to save MCu is good stories, not a mere character, even the greatest characters can be disaster if the stories is bad,
Yea but for right now it’s a need at this point look at the other comments as well
From ny readings on marvel.
This actually makes so much sense
Imo the pov character should be Read richards/FF
As a life long superhero comic film fan who is now in the middle of writing an original superhero short film based on a mixture of themes from the X-Men, Spider-Man, & Watchmen, this video has made me realize that an important element for modern day superhero filmmaking (arguably established by the MCU) is intention.
I feel most recent superhero films have failed overall due to the right intention or lack there of to create these stories.
I want Michael Giacchino to make a sequel to Werewolf by night or better yet a follow up movie based on the Legion of Monsters or Midnight Sons characters a movie based on those characters that gets theatrically released it'll be cool if it's a black and white movie that would be a cool experience in theater man
Eyyy you used the sound clip from the Why Files! Love it!
12:00 Well, funny you should say that, as in the comics, Knull the god of the Symbiotes is an enemy of the Celestials.
They should have done X-Men and F4 in phase 4. They'd have no problems.
Deadpool is the anchor being of the entire MCU
I find Loki is one of the few really good characters left, except he’s now a little busy managing existence…
It will be good to see a project founded around heroes whose foundation is family, there's a timelty theme there about how family is defined
deadpool and wolverine was surprise hit not because of nostalgia but they stick to good humor and massy feel

Utilize characters such as Wong/Strange, Blade, Moon Knight, Black Knight, Werewolf By Night, Elsa Bloodstone, Man-Thing, Agatha Harkness, Nightcrawler, Magik, Ghost Rider, Scarlet Witch, Nightmare, & Mephisto.
They also need the Heroes for Hire/Defenders aka street-level Avengers:
Spider-Man, Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, & Echo
Mayor Kingpin would make a perfect big bad for that team in a gang war plot.
Wait, since iron man (2008) came out as the first MCU movie. Does that mean his the first MCU superhero to die?
Black Widow
The new trinity should be Captain America Cyclops and Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four
I still remember how long the lanes in cinema for endgame and infinity war. They just can’t do that anymore
Im glad to see you appreciating the decade of great movies we got. A lot of people see a few bad marvel movies and pretend theh were never good.
What I think could revive Marvel is the advice to just 'Keep it simple' and not make it some unrealistic and cringey galaxy warfare story of some sorts. Just make it realistic & relatively easier to understand for once, since not every viewer is willing to do some research on what they're viewing.

HiTopFilms: *overwhelming screeching*
the editing in the intro is top tier
Because they are most likely going to soft reboot it.
hearing ultrons speech in a future marvel movie with the change thing would be so fucking good.
It could essentially be like starting a new phase 1 of the “Mutant saga”, or something similar.
loved your deep dive into marvel as a whole man really great stuff keep up the great work
Great video.
Honestly I haven’t given up on marvel.. I’m just wondering why they would push so much content with characters nobody knows about
Great essay!
There is no saving MCU. One or two good films won’t repair the overall damage done to the brand
Agatha All Along is a clear example of how they usually do things. People tend to forget that the creators of D&W had to fight Disney on many things to make the movie what it was. What do you think will happen to projects run entirely by Disney?
If I was in charge of, my plan would be:
1-Make endgame the true end of the MCU
2-take a five-year long break
3-During that break, search comic-book writers and filmmakers who are actual comic-book fans, NOT Rick and Morty writers, who could be seen as trustworthy and up for the task
4- Make an entirely new storyline for the people producing the movies and series to follow. Yes, I'm talking about rebooting the MCU.
4- Give Disney the finger
you really called their pivot to doom
Exactly ON POINT. The END was Endgame and I checked out afterwards. Bring in commonly known characters (like Wolverine?! next week) and things will feel worthwhile again.

We go hiking because we would rather be outside. It's okay to let things end, cause I think we're seeing that keeping things past their sell-by date doesn't work.
personally, a part of me thinks they should reboot maybe even be darker and Rrated as a way to separate it from the old Mcu.
I know that this is a lot to ask, but I would love to see your plan for the MCU moving forward.
i.e. What should they scrap, what specific stories would you tell beyond what is planned
7:30 im upset now that ik the hawkeye arrows arent real
Only movie I liked after Endgame is No way Home and Shang - chi.
DP3 is goated
Your videos are terrific - never boring and always interesting. 👍
Facts ain’t nobody asked for any of these at all💯
ive been burnt out with marvel since eternals. if marvel is able to bring that spark i would return in a heartbeat
hey great video, greetings from brazil 🇧🇷
Yes, good character drama and story is what really these movies need but can you elaborate on the part about changing the world and moving it foward?
when he used Thanos as a example that just confused me.
@@jadenbryant9283 Sorry, I don't remember that part. Can you remind me?
Yeah i mean unlike the comics they didnt erase thanos wiping out half of all life and characters age and have endings. i was confused by that
Well he said after Avengers Endgame, it felt like the story was done but they need to work on a new story and build a new world
@@americanfreedomworldpeace thats what thry have been doing with the post blip world.
Spiderman (Miles morales) perfect multiverse connection
he predicted the future dr doom replaces kang......well it was obvious but still.
Spiderman a recast black panther when chad died and Dr strange before they kept dumping on him every change they had. What should have been the next trio.
Shuri was great so im fine with them not recasting.
I think recasting Chad would have been too disrespectful. But I agree, Disney kept messing around with Doctor Strange 2 which was okay but just didn't feel it was very good (Disney did not like the violence planned in the movie, they changed the red blood to black)
@@americanfreedomworldpeace what red blood.
@@mutalemwananshiku4098 Wanda Maximoff was originally supposed to have blood splattered on her face, Disney felt it was too violent so they change the blood to black blood from the robot blood splatters (and they changed directors)
@@mutalemwananshiku4098but in reality she's not that liked, her merch doesn't sell
brother if even one Marvel Studios employee sees this video the MCU is saved, you described the perfect MCU and a complete guide on how to introduce it. If they want to pump out billion dollar movies here is the script!
