Elgato Multi Mount and flex arm kit set up and overview

- So I went Boxing day shopping and finally got around to opening the boxes of my Elgato Multi-Mount and flex arm kit that turned up!
These are great for not only streaming but also for holding your camera for top-down videos and also as a mount for lighting or anything else you want to put on it.
The mounts are great and have a max limit of 2kg so please be careful loading up too much onto these mounts!

I stumbled upon this video because I was trying to figure out how to attach the Master Mount to the Flex Arm (which I’m attaching to a desk I just made). Now it seems super obvious, thanks for making this. On another note, I subscribed to your channel after I watched a couple of your other videos. I laughed out-loud, it was super funny for me. We have very similar gear - you look like a gear soulmate (that sounds weird but I don’t know how else to subscribe it). And I’ve been preaching the same foundations about nutrition after I used free time during the pandemic to lean down (I also started fasting, free weights, and meal prep that I do every Sunday). Really, it appears we’re working on very similar things or have similar interests. I bought the lights because I’m about to launch a live stream Q&A talk show. I also had a podcast for a while (I recorded about 150 episodes) that did fairly well, and is tied to a coaching business I own and started 13 years ago after I dropped out of school. If you have any interest in being on the stream show, reach out. If not, I hope you keep creating. If was awesome to run across someone who looks to be on a similar journey.

Can it hold prompter with gh5?
I’ll be honest probably not if you have it with the arm extended, the weight recommendation is under 2.5kg and with my Sony 6400 and cage and lens that’s already up to 1.9kg so I doubt that it would comfortably hold your GH5. 😁
@@mrtwomore I've checked all the weighs and GH5 + lens is ~1kg, prompter is ~1kg and tablet is 500g. So according to what you say, it should hold it, right? I would go with regular one not flex (there 100% it would to be too heavy)
Additionally, if I see correct you can unscrew head and put there another one, so it can hold more?
Thirdly, are there any alternatives to this mount?
@@adrianparafianowicz802 So I did a basic test for you with a 2.93kg weight as I had no 2kg weights to see and it will hold it however I was not able to tighten the screw hard enought to get the mount arm to no rest on the bracket. Here is the image: imgur.com/gallery/NLoCCEH

To be honest a basic tripod would solve this instead however if you are wanting a desk mounted option then I would say this could be the way and just make sure your load is slightly lower than the 2.9kg that I tested and you should be okay!
