How to Make Hawaiian Dessert - Kulolo (Taro Pudding)

  • Kulolo is a Hawaiian dessert that is made from the kalo or taro root. It’s a sweet chewy treat that is beloved to Hawaiians. There are different ways to cook kulolo like baking it but I’ll be showing how to steam it in this video. #kulolo #hawaiiandessert #taropudding

    2 cups kalo (taro) root
    1 1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup coconut milk

    For those who don’t want sugar or can’t have it, you can always boil stevia leaves in the coconut milk and stain and continue with the recipe. 🌈🤙🏾

      @@OnoHawaiianRecipes Tried making the kulolo with pre-steamed kalo and kept the cook time the same and it turned out great. Mahalo for the response!
